Zig Zag Trading NQ Futures

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

In today's video I cover the market zig zag action of last week. I was able to squeeze out some gains by mostly scalp trading intraday on a 1 minute chart. I also go over upcoming earnings for the week ahead and the economic calendar. Lots of red folder stuff coming this week so it would be wise to use some caution as we will likely experience volatility and more zig zagging this week.

Marging Call and Other Broker Shenanigans Hey There, Sniper here. Friday March 15th 2024 was a fun filled day of broker shenanigans for me and it did not end well. Firstly, I received a margin call on my futures trading account and my broker closed one of 3 open futures contracts. Apparently, I did not have enough free cash in my account to cover the after hours margin requirements. This created an instant loss of over $5000 for me. My other broker assigned me some shares of a stock I was sold puts on like an hour after the close on Friday even though the stock actually closed about $1 above my strike price. Come to find out this happened to a lot of people on this particular stock ($RILY). Serious market maker shenanigans in my opinion. Thankfully, I am still up overall for the month. PPI Data Creates Market Upside.

Hey Traders, well we finally got some market upside today thanks to a light read on the PPI data release at 8:30am eastern this morning. My NQ swing trade from last week that was in big drawdown is now in less drawdown, I can see the light and possible profits by tomorrow. We'll take a look at tomorrow's economic and earnings calendars and go over my last two trading days recap.

Market Awaits CPI Inflation Data.

Hey Traders, not much happening this week so far in the stock market. The market is seemingly patiently awaiting the cpi inflation data tomorrow morning at 8:30am eastern time. In the mean time I'll go over a scalp trade I made today and where I took profit. Then we'll have a look at tomorrow's earnings calendar and the economic calendar. Be careful tomorrow, CPI can cause serious volatility swings in both or one direction prior to data release and after.

End of Month is Payday for Me and What I do with Gains

It's payday for me. End of month paycheck time. I pay myself once a month after I tally up all my gains or um losses and if it's a positive number I withdraw some cash to pay my bills. In this video I go over my thought process of how I pay myself and what I do with gains.

Two Day Income Selling Puts.

In today's video I describe my 2 day income strategy utilizing cash secured puts. How I go about finding stocks with good premium and what to look for on the charts. Selecting a strike price, etc.

I also go over my past 3 days recap during FOMC week. (Didn't trade a lot as FOMC can be a risky time to trade) Had some small wins and even bigger losses on the few trades I did take. It's starting to sink in to 'not trade' on days surrounding FOMC.
