Why Ken Takakura aka Okarun is one of if not the biggest GOAT of New Shonen Gen

(next to Momo ofc)

And no one can convince me otherwise:

-was willing to throw his life on the line to save Momo who he barely knew just because she stood up for him and showed interest in what he likes

-literally fought ALIENS for Momo while being possessed

-shares one brain cell with Momo

-was willing to sell his body part to help the terminally ill child of an alien despite said alien trying to kill him in the first place

-literally prioritized Momo’s safety/well being over his own when both were being actively poisoned.

-actually loves sharing his knowledge with people and isn’t unlikable about it

-doesn’t try to sabotage Momo’s relationship with Jiji because he’s jealous

-tried to save Turbo Granny from Worm Goo with zero questions even after all she put him through

-literally beat up the evil eye for not just hurting momo but for stealing Jiji’s autonomy without his consent as well!!! (YOU CANT TELL ME THIS MAN ISNT GOATED FOR THAT)

-actually has conversations like a mature person with momo when he senses she’s upset and is very transparent with her about how he feels

-he’s cute.

-when Momo spends most of the first season saving him he doesn’t feel ashamed he feels inspired and looks up to her

-literally pushes himself to become better so he can protect Momo (and wants to impress her which is mad cute)

-was fine with spending his life being bullied but is willing to step to anyone the moment he hears them say ANYTHING about Momo.

(I’m SCREAMING get yourself a man like this!!!)

-isn’t actually that much of a pushover

-still liked aliens/cryptids despite enduring years of bullying

-has insane drip in his turbo granny form-

I cannot believe I have to say this, but also shoutout to Dan Da Dan for not sexualizing CPR...

It was really refreshing to see Okarun not argue or make any weird comments about it when Momo suggests it. Mouth-to-mouth respiration is an emergency procedure to save somebody's life, why does it only get equated to kissing in pop culture?
