Hello, Tumblr world!

I started this blog back in February, mainly to connect with more audience who could help me grow my ideas and inspire me to create even more beautiful bentos.

I'm still trying to figure out how this works, but I'm already grateful for the amount of love I've been receiving! This has been an outlet that helps me stay positive. My little corner of the internet that allows me reconnect with my old self.

Nat I have a super cute idea for La Squadra! How about their crush making them a lil bento box for them perhaps specifically themed for them if you can think of one for the characters? Like for Formaggio it could be cats or for Pesci it could be fish. Like not necessarily a well made bento but just a really thoughtful cutesy one like decoben because man these bois need some looking after and cuteness!

- If you give Formaggio any kind of food, he’s going to be grateful. He’s the kind who gets too lazy to cook for himself and orders takeout most of the time; he’ll be touched that anyone wanted to make him food and extra touched if it’s his crush, although he’ll try and play it off cool. When he looks inside later on - he doesn’t want to open it in front of them in case it’s something he doesn’t like, he knows he’ll blurt out something mean because his mouth runs away with him - and everything is cat-themed or cat-shaped, Formaggio can’t help grinning down at it. If anyone makes fun of his delicate, cute little cat-shaped lunch, he’s going to throw down. 

- Everything in Risotto’s bento box is black or red. He looks down at it and back up at his crush, who’s smiling nervously at him as they stutter about how he never has time to feed himself and he really should take some better care. He’s touched, although the smile doesn’t crack his face - he has to show himself to be more stoic than that. Still, the thanks he gives them and the gentle touch on their shoulder is enough - and when he turns away, he allows himself the indulgence of curling his lips up. 

- Illuso’s Snow White themed bento box - “Because your stand is like the Magic Mirror? I-I’m sorry if you think it’s dumb. . .” - is the cutest thing he’s ever seen. He watched his crush prepare it from a mirror, probably, secretly raging about whoever it was who was going to get the carefully prepared meal . . . and then, when he’s given it, he can’t even think of something witty to say. He accepts it with a rare, uncalculated smile - and intends to eat it in the safety and privacy of the mirror realm, where nobody (aka Formaggio) will try and steal it from him. 

- Prosciutto’s not really a man with an overarching theme; he prefers elegance over cutesy motifs or anything like that. He likes to cook himself and usually makes time for eating one of his own meals even on missions - but if his crush gives him a sleek bento box, all highly polished wood and delicate traditional Japanese food, he’s not going to complain about it. He thanks them politely, and calls them later on to ask for some recipes - and maybe to hear their voice. 

- Pesci usually eats whatever Prosciutto has packed for him, after being told to try and provide for himself. When he’s given the bento box - under the sea themed, with little fish and octopus - he stammers and falls over himself to say thank you to his crush, blushing bright red. Even though he takes it and puts it in his bag, he can’t bring himself to eat it - the little things are just far too cute! He feels guilty when his crush asked if he liked it and admits the whole thing, to which they laugh and put a hand on his arm. “I’ll make them less cute next time!” They promise, and Pesci is left flustered at the thought that there’ll be a next time. 

- Melone’s computer and technology themed bento leaves him wondering about what his crush would be like as a parent, and how they’d create beautiful and interesting meals for their children. He accepts the bento with a cheery smile and a wink - he probably accepts it more smoothly than almost any other member of La Squadra, and he absolutely reads it as a flirty overture. Still, it does seem a shame to eat such a physical reminder of his crush’s love for him . . . but Melone is hungry. 

- Ghiaccio’s winter and snow scene themed bento leaves him sneering, asking how much time they spent putting together these dumb little cute shapes and how much food was wasted in the process so that only the aesthetically pleasing pieces were left. Despite the stammering and yelping, though, Ghiaccio’s face is bright pink - he loves it, and just doesn’t want to show off that he likes it so much he might cry. He doesn’t want people to know that inside the icy exterior is a soft, warm heart.

So like... quick question. How does Loki feel about nail care and nail art? If he found polishes and stamps and vinyls would he go whole hog? Or would he be a simple base, color, top type of person? Would he want fake nails to press onto his real ones? Does he prefer acrylic or silk wrap? Also, what about decoben?

In all honesty, it really depends on what sort of mood Loki’s in. Loki takes the care of his body very seriously. Every single inch of his body undergoes some sort of daily ritual to ensure that he’s as healthy and pristine as possible. I have quite a few headcanons about Loki’s skin care regiment already, but his nails are certainly not neglected.

More often than not, Loki will keep them buffed, shined, and symmetrical. He doesn’t normally keep them very long, but they’re long enough that he could seriously scratch someone if he needed to. Most of the time, his nails are strong, healthy, and have a very nice shine to them, but he doesn’t spend a lot of time painting them or putting designs on them.

Sometimes he will, though. Sometimes, he’ll add a nice solid color to them or a subtle design just because he’s in the mood to do something different with his nails. 

In all honesty, he won’t do anything super artsy with his nails unless he’s taken his female form. This isn’t because he thinks that he can’t have beautifully manicured nails as a man. In truth, he’s learned to tone down the gender fluid nature he has around his peers because a lot of people don’t understand it and it’s just one more reason for people to mock him. He doesn’t exactly hide the truth about himself, but he doesn’t go out of his way to make people see him for all of the oddities that he possesses. People already see so many and point out so much that his self-worth has been pretty much destroyed. He might sport a different nail color or some subtle nail art as a man, but he’s not going to go much further than that.

In his female form, however? Reasonably lengthed stiletto nails are usually a go-to. They’re more likely to be acrylic or an acrylic-substitute and will be painted a dark or rich color. Sometimes Loki will go above and beyond and add in designs by free-handing them. Loki is ambidextrous and quite talented when it comes to art, so drawing designs on nails would be a very simple task. On occasion, Loki might even go the extra mile to glue some gemstones or very small, decorative accessories to the nails, but this is usually used as an accent at best and won’t be overdone. 

As far as decoden nails go, I actually had to look this up because I didn’t know what it was. Loki would probably not actually go to this sort of extreme because it’s just not really his style.

In short, Loki takes very good care of his nails and they are either buffed and shined or painted to whatever color and design he chooses. In his female form, Loki often gets way more creative with the way her nails are styled.
