Small update: Graduation is tomorrow so I probably won't be posting what I planned to but I finally finished my ideas for the Digimon and Ride The Cyclone crossover thing so hopefully after everything chills out I can start talking about that properly again (I will still be posting ENA art it will just be less frequent since there is a lot I want to talk about for the RTC + Digimon crossover)

How Digivolution Works & the Stages:

Sorry this is late, I accidentally deleted my older draft of this but here it is.

Alright so just as a starting bit of info, I’m going off of season one’s digivolution rules aka just regular digivolution (linear/no digimentals or anything) since I feel like adding versions like armor or spirit evolution would be way too confusing to keep track of.

There are six stages I will be using. The list below is from weakest to strongest levels/stages and the format is: Original Name (English Dub Name). I will most likely just use the original stage names in my other post but just in case I wanted to list them here.

Baby 1 (Fresh)

Baby 2 (In-Training)

Child (Rookie)

Adult (Champion)

Perfect (Ultimate)

Ultimate (Mega)

Digivolution is basically a digimon getting a new/stronger form, sort of like Pokémon's evolution except digimon go back to previous stages/it’s not permanent.

As for how I determine if a digivolution is reasonable/possible, I mainly go off of the wiki’s list of possible digivolutions but sometimes I do deliberately pick things not listed as possible just because I think it would work well.

Small Note on the Digimon RTC Crossover

Okay, so, this is a way larger project than I first thought.

I am going to try to come up with a reasonable way to explain the mechanics/world related stuff of Digimon so that anyone unfamiliar with the fandom can still have some understanding of the general ideas.

I am currently looking at my draft for the line I want to give Karnak and I've realized a lot of things wont make much sense to anyone without know certain things like how Digivolution works as an example.

For now I'm going to list down things I need to explain first and then see where to go from there so sorry if it takes a bit to actually get Digivolution lines out there.

Digimon & The Digital World

I should have posted this first but this is a brief explanation of the digital world & digimon.

The Digital world is, well its a world that is digital. Its similar to our world but not an exact copy. It has different biomes and locations, and from what I understand the digital world exists in the human worlds internet though I could be wrong on that.

As for what digimon are: Digimon means Digital Monster. So they are monsters that are digital, similar to Pokémon but not exact since Digimon all live in the digital world (with a few exceptions).

Digimon are also around the same intelligence as humans and can all speak, well, at least the partner digimon. The series is a bit inconsistent with things like enemy digimon ex. Vamdemon (Myotismon) vs. Devidramon. Vamdemon can speak and plan to fight the digi-destined (The humans), but devidramon doesn't do either in the show. (This isn't the only example it's just the first I thought of)

For the sake of assigning digimon though just assume all digimon listed have human level intelligence.

I can give a small-ish explanation for you and anyone else not in the Digimon fandom. It started as basically Tamagotchi made for boys aka V-Pets, later turned into a video game, then multiple mangas/shows and even a few movies, there's also a card game but I know very little about it. Digimon are digital monsters (Most my info will be based off of the shows/movies though) I hope to post the actual Digivolution lines I come up with later today after I get back from the doctors.

Sorry if that was a lot but I'm hyped up about this idea.
