Details shared across IDs (In no particular order)
(Edit: Huge thanks to everyone who has commented !!! :D)
Ever since someone told me that every Ishmael ID has her hairband, I've been thinking about what other accessories or details that are shared across all or most of a sinner's IDs.
My "rules" for this is that it has to be in either the character art or sprites, and exceptions are made if the design obscures it (e.g. W Corp Outis' gauntlets covering her watch). I am also not including things that the character would've been born with/is just a part of their body, so eye color/shape, hair color/style, Rodya's mole, Gregor's beard and Ishmael's freckles.
(If anyone has noticed something else, please tell me, I'd love to hear it!! This is super interesting to me)
First of, Ishmael's hairband, even when she has her hair up, the hair tie is the same general shape. The exception being her Pequod Captain ID, where she instead wears a hat.
Outis' watch and earrings, every ID has one of the two, with an overwhelming majority having both. W Corp. and Wuthering Heights Outis have no visible watch. Barber, Heishou Pack, Blade Lineage Salsu, Magic Bullet and Seven Assoc. Outis have no visible earrings.
Ryoshu's sword, also an obvious one, every ID has the sword. You could count her smoking ??lol
Hong Lu's jade hair tie, for Kurokumo Clan Wakashu and Liu Assoc. the hair tie is a ribbon instead. You can also count his left teal eye, it is mentioned in his Liu Assoc. ID story that it is "noticeably mechanical".
Gregor's cockroach, right arm and yellow eyes, every ID has a cockroach somewhere in the art, and his right arm is always some sort of prosthetic replacement. Most IDs have prostheses that resemble a natural arm, but IDs like Rosespanner and Twinhook do not.
In some character art where Gregor is distressed, his eyes have a yellow tint/glow. Examples include pre-uptie Firefist Office, uptied G Corp. Manager Corporal, uptied R.B Sous-chef and uptied Edgar Family Heir. G Corp. Manager Corporal's sprite has more yellowy eyes compared to other Gregor IDs. Priest Gregor's eyes glow red instead.
Sinclair's puffy/red eyes, I was a bit conflicted about including this since eyes and hair stay pretty much the same across IDs. There's 2 reasons I felt I should mention it: Sinclair is the only sinner with this, and It looks like he has been crying, which fits his character.
Heathcliff's two facial scars and ring, IDs that do not wear gloves (e.g. Multicrack Office, Sunshower, Kurokumo Clan Wakashu) have a silver ring on the index finger. It's inconsistent which hand it is on. The ring is visible through the glove on Öufi Assoc. Heathcliff's left hand, but in sprites and the Shi Assoc. character art, it is on the right hand. Multicrack Office's uptie art has the ring on the left hand, but the sprite has it on the right hand.
There's variation when it comes to Heathcliff's scars, but every ID has two in the face. Most IDs also share a third facial scar, but IDs like Multicrack Office and Seven Assoc. do not have it.
Meursault's belt, the IDs that don't have it (Dieci Assoc. and N Corp.) have their waist/hip area covered. You can also count his constant eye bags.
Yi Sang's dagger and bookbag, most Yi Sang IDs have a bookbag strapped to the left thigh, this bookbag also has a ceremonial dagger strapped to it. IDs that don't carry the bookbag (e.g. Spicebush) have it included in the character art. The bookbag has 하융 (Ha Yung) written on it. Solemn Lament Yi Sang does not have a visible bookbag.
Rodya's tattoo, IDs with more cleavage have a visible tattoo over the left breast.
Still nothing for Faust and Don Quixote so far (Rocinante is not included because of Manager Don). It's true that every Faust ID has Gesellschaft and every Don Quixote ID is a bloodfiend, but since these things are not shown anywhere in the designs/art specifically, I've decided to not include them.

Sebastien, Booker, Le Livre
Alright then, let us begin with the sad french one!
*Disclaimer* - this is a long post, buckle up before reading
First Impression:
The first time we see Booker, he's riding a motocyle. Firstly, this serves as a cool visual. But also... all he's wearing on the bike is jeans, a short sleeved shirt and no helmet whilst swerving through the streets. We immedietly see that he's not too concerened about dying which could be foreshadowing his depression.
The second thing we learn about "The book" is that he likes to collect book, badum tish, when Andy gives him a "first edition Don Quixote". This mostly foreshadows Andy's fate (as will be explained in her analysis) but it also shows Booker's rather dismissive attitude towards life. A deleted scene shows Booker using scratch cards. This combined with his alcoholism and his expensive book collection, he uses habits like this to make him feel something.
Relationships:

Unlike Andy with Joe or Nicky, Booker and her don't hug until the Gousanville ambush. They just walk side by side and Andy gives him the book. This makes me believe that Booker doesn't respond to touched whilst Andy seems to rely on touch.
Booker and Nicky seem to have a playful rilvary though there isn't much to work with, they have very little scenes and the ones I can find are mostly about Nicky. But this scene does make me laugh as Booker is clearly enjoying annoying Nicky. It adds complexity to Booker as he clearly has strong connections with the other immortals and clearly loves them.
As I've talked about before, Joe and Booker is the most affectionate of Booker's relationship. Joe celebrates Booker's success in the bet and Booker turns to Joe when celebrating. Further explanation can be find here.
Foreshadowing Betrayal:
Watching the movie multiple times, I became intrigued on the ways they foreshadows his betrayel, focusing on the Sudan Mission.
Firstly, when Andy, Joe and Nicky are reuniting, Booker turns away from the affection. This, combined with "It's a job" cutting the playfull moment short, he's possibly trying to alienate himself from his family as he knows what he's about to do. You can also see something is wrong based on the look Copley gives him after Andy accepts the mission.
During the mission, Booker is the only one who doesn't react to the ambush. He frowns a little but otherwise doesn't appear surprised (gee I wonder why).
After the mission, he's mostly on damage control. Claiming he 'checked' Copley is clearly meant to foreshadow that Booker is on it.
When Nile is discovered, he's the only one who doesn't want to find her. This, while hinting to his betrayal, also shows his complexity. He doesn't want to subject Nile to experiments and so doesn't want to find her.
The Dreams:
Each of the immortals focus on different things from the dreams that show a part of their character.
As the youngest memeber of the group, he cannot see most of the dream and has little to contribute. Furthermore, the only thing he knows for certain is that he "felt her die". This shows Booker's focus on death.
In Nile's dream, all she sees of Booker is him drinking. Make of that what you will.
The Dinner Scene:
Booker's comment is met with laughter from Joe insted of concern. This clearly shows that his nilahism isn't a recent development and is seen as something endearing about his personality. Also justifys why the immortals didn't suspect his betrayel. He's not acting any different than usual. This almost serves as a metaphor for depression as there are usually little signs of people's depression worsening as they are trying to pretend.
I think it's interesting that Booker refers to his death like this. In the comics, Booker tries to desert the Napoleonic War and is hanged for his treason. I wonder if it was meant to be "fighting WITH Napoleon" and if this will be explored in the sequel. This desertion is integral to his character as it shows he wasn't meant to be a warrior and had no wish to fight, which adds another layer of tragedy to him being an eternal fighter.
These small moments, combined with Joe's chuckle earlier, implicity shows the relationship between the three men even though they don't have many scenes together. Booker laughs at Nicky's joke and looks to Joe after Quynh is brought up. He doesn't hate the couple, even though he holds a little bitterness, but he had become some consumed with his greif and sorrow that he doesn't consider what they would want and is willing to sacrifice them to achieve mortality.
This line foreshadows Booker's backstory and shows that he does care about Nile as he wants to protect her from pain.
The Goussainville Ambush:
Straight away, Copley not capturing Booker is suspicious. When you first watch it, you think it's just because he looks dead and the mercenaries don't know he's immortal. But when you rewatch, it's clear this was a plan to ensure that Andy was also captured.
Fan fact, this is the first time Andy and Booker touch and it is driven but the intense emotion of 'oh my god is Booker dead'. It is also directly follows an act of violence (Andy slapping Booker) which is an intresting choice.
This subtle acting choice is really interesting to me. Matthias seems to almost answer Andy's question before remembering that he's ✨betraying her✨ and then goes back to being 'clueless'.
Booker and Nile:
I think it's really sweet that Booker tries to comfort Nile while there's a hole in his chest. It's also incredibley ironic given how much Booker hates immortality. While some people ship the duo, I think it is more of a paternal realationship. It's unique to have the grieving character, especially a man, to be grieving children insted of a partner. Building Nile and Booker's relationship on this ground makes it feel more paternal than romantic to me.
Booker telling Nile his backstory comes in a really organic way, with him trying to convince her not to see her family. This is the first time in the movie that Booker's cynicism is recognised by the script as a bad thing. Up until this point, it's been just a character quirk but they give him the space to fully show the weight of immortality on Booker. Also Matthias slays this scene, ate and left no crumbs.
The Betrayel:
I could do a full analysis on this scene but I'll summerise here:
Andy holds such trust in Booker that she doesn't doubt he would've warned her about anyone arriving therefore, the only person who could be behind her is him. When Andy calls for Booker, he responds instantly with:
Shooting her in the back is such a gut punch, specifically for Andy. He knew he could get away with it because she trusts him so much.
This is the first time in the movie that Booker initiates physical contact with anyone and again, its an act of violence.
This line of dialogue is so beautifully tragic. It puts Booker's despair on full display. He's willing to make a deal with the devil so he's allowed to go to hell. It is also double sided as, of course, Andy is now mortal. But it also holds a level of deceit beacause if Andy wanted to be mortal then why did he feel the need to lie to her and set this up. Surely if she wanted it, she'd agree to the testing. Overall, Booker has allowed his greif to consume him and convince him to do anything to achieve mortality.
Despite that, when he realises that she is mortal, he immedietly tries to save her from the experiments that would kill her. It sort of shocks him into thinking, somewhat, clearly. But by then it's too late. Booker is a really good tragic character and follows the conventions well. He wants to be mortal so he lies, cheats and hurts his family. When he gets what he wants, another twist means that his goal is not what he wants anymore but by then it's too late.
The Lab:
This line is yet another example of Booker's irony. He seemingly forgets that Joe and Nicky KILLED each other when they first met, and for many years afterwards. It took them many years, possibly more than Booker's been alive, to find love. Furthermore, they now have to live and love with the knowledge they will eventually die at seemingly random. Booker combines cynicism with naivity as he is the young member of the group and therefore, doesn't view time as they do. Whilst they have lived long, he fears to.
However, Booker knows he made a mistake and wants to pay for it. At first, he wants to stay in the lab and suffer. But this is most likely guided by his depression as staying in the lab could result in his mortality. Subtly, he's still trying to die. But Andy, maybe seeing through this, shares her newfound mentality and he, feeling guilty, strives to help her.
Now Andy has expressed a desire to live, he honors that and helps her achieve that.
The Final Battle:
Knowing his mistake, Booker puts his all into helping the others.
I like the detail of him using military techniques with Nile (tapping her shoulder to let her know it's clear). It a subtle moment of him showing care for people with actions.
Also, this clip of Booker covering Joe and Nicky almost like he's trying to attone for his actions.
Second to Nicky, Booker runs over to Nile and helps her out of the car. This works as the penultimate climax to their relationship. Instead of just telling Nile to give up on her family, he offers her a new one. Also the expression he gives Andy as she approaches.
Banishment:
Booker's banishement is one of the most controversial parts of the movie but it works fully for me. Of course Joe and Nicky don't want to be around Booker for a while, he betrayed them in the worst possible way (which I'll delve into in their sections). As displayed throughout the movie, they trusted him completley and he hurt them. He knows this and I think that's why he says:
It's almost like wishful thinking. The looks between Joe and Booker break my heart as Marwan and Matthias are so easily able to convey the hurt and anger of Joe and the regret and acceptance from Booker.

This entire scene is heartbreaking tbh. This is the first moment of contact between Andy and Booker that doesn't end in violence. I think this is meant to symbolise the ways they have accepted their immortality or mortality respectively. Also, as Booker doesn't seem to like physical contact, having him initiate a hug almost appears to be him trying to comfort Andy about their new relationship.
Conclusion:
Booker is a really complicated character that is full of contridictions and stupidity but he's a unique part of the characters and adds most of the sorrow of the immortals. He serves to show the toll of immortality in the present insted of just showing it in the past.
All in all, I love the sad little French man and I'm glad he'll be back with the main cast in the sequel. Also Matthias Schoenaerts ate and left no crumbs

I'm not going to be able to write my typical long rambles for a bit (need to catch up on important work), but here's a short list of things I wanna talk about with the latest canto.
Spoilers, of course.
The entire Canto taking place after the ending of Don Quixote (the first Don, I will not call him the Actual Don because our Don is as much Don Quixote as he is) is not something I expected, but makes so much sense and made for a wonderful story. There are themes of identity, struggling to live under a broken system and GOD THE FAMILIAL TIES. THE FIGHT AGAINST THE TWO MIDBOSSES + THE PRIEST HAD SUCH MAGNIFICENT STORY BUILD UP. AND THE PRIEST'S ENTIRE MOVESET. UGGGH I WANNA TALK ABOTU IT
Hey. Outis. What did you mean by that. We all know what I'm talking about, right? This is the first time I know of that she's actually given even a smidge of info about herself somewhat directly. Somewhat. Everything else is just in how she knows things and acts. Here she is asking a very specific question and god, I need to know more about her now.
Good job Sinclair. And everyone else. But good job Sinclair.
Vergilius with Sanson's face/mask is cursed.
I continue to feel so so bad for the Bloodfiends. They did the best they could in a world that gave them only two horrible options. I couldn't help but compare La Manchaland to the Tokyo Ghoul:RE ending, because the hemobars reminded me of the artificial meat, except in TG:RE it worked and here, well. We saw how that went. I think it's a great idea to start with the after of their solution; this isn't a situation with a possible solution, they tried that and failed. Who knows if there is one that works? Does it matter now that they're all dead?
I'm going to be very weird about Camille once this is all said and done, but I do want to note that the pretty boy being turned into a flower and having a name very clearly gotten from Carmilla the flower (and maybe the book? Haven't read it yet so idk if he's taken from there) is very cheeky. I still wish I could've besting him up myself. This isn't me critiquing the writing, this is me being weird.
The QTE in the ending cutscene of the boss fight was cool and really added to the feeling of fighting against and overcoming a clearly superior foe.
I wanna hug Don Quixote the First. He's such a ray of sunshine and deserved better. Even if he was somewhat delusional, at least he genuinely cared for his family.
What happened to Hong Lu's sister? Did she just vanish? I didn't notice until later on, so I'll probably need to go back and check myself.
Bari is the Librarian of Death (edit: Nameless Bookhunter, thanks for the correction AE)? Idfk and idc for now. If Bari ends up showing up again or a moot of mine decides they wanna talk about it, maybe I'll look into it.
The familial themes here are most certainly also going to be related to Hong Lu's story, which once more is a reason I really should get to reading all the books for this game.
Ryoshu accepting death from the possibility of fighting Don Qui the second was really funny.
The abno fights here are really good, and I love how Limbus is making unbreakable coins the standard from now on. Makes it so you can't just blaze through fights taking no damage, and these battles genuinely feel difficult. That's good. Their designs and mechanics are also pretty easy to understand and match with their ego gifts pretty well. God I wish we had more Rupture ids that could stack as much count as the Lasso abno.
Sancho fight was cool as hell. The clashable 10 speed skill was so good and made it feel like a massive improvement on the Cassetti fight. So good. On use coin power did mess me up a little given it doesn't show up in the clash numbers, but that was on me for not reading tbh.
Fun fact: final boss can be Meatlantern soloed really easily. So easy in fact that that's how I cleared it. Doing it with a full team didn't end well for me. The solo's also really consistent, which is nice.
Mili song is really good. As usual. I need to go listen to it again. I need an in-game mix. I need it. The childishness of Sancho's side of the tune compared with the seriousness of first Don's side is lovely.
Also. Please, in the final clash where you use Don's base ego. I hope you looked at the name of the ego and the name of Don the First's attack. Please. It's such a good detail. And it's so much better when you remember that Sancho was always the one making weapons for Don. He calls Sancho's lances much more graceful than his. It's so lovely. You can tell these two genuinely love each other. It's so good.
Also the fact that basically every fixer we went in with got wiped out by weakened Bloodfiends really shows just how powerful these bloodfiends are. Camille had to resort to using ego gear to survive. Sheesh.
That'll be all for now. Expect a long ramble on any of these points when I'm more free, aka never.

against the currents of time we stand still
Post tenebras spero lucem was the quote that appeared on the cover of the first edition of Don Quixote. It translates roughly to “After darkness, I await light.”

Limbus rambling Don Quixote edition number #2 the second
SO!!! that new canto huh Part 1 is out, im avoiding leaks to the best of my ability, and i am CAUGHT UP! still havent read La Mancha or Don Quixote though but i dont think that matters right now OBVIOUS disclaimer about my lack of knowledge with the source material once again point is i have a crackpot theory that just might not be that uncommon or unlikely? idk we'll see
Also sorry for no ALT text, this uses a lot of images and my fingers are very cold
spoilers under the cut obviously, catch up before you click and otherwise beware
oh yeah baby welcome to the cool people zone im going to be using a mixture of my own screenshots and the Limbus Main Story Library for this, so buckle up
I propose that there are in fact, two Don Quixote's! Our Don, the sinner of limbus company! and a much older, original Don Quixote, the possible Founder / Lord of La Manchaland!
To start, almost all of this theory is based on those flashback bits we get with the colored text, and is running under the assumption that the Yellow text is, reasonably, supposed to be our Don.
... which brings up the question of why they are acting so uncharacteristically in what is supposedly their own story.
Now, onto those flashbacks!
First up we have the instance at 7-9.
This one doesnt tell us much but it gives us some initial context.
The grey text is clearly Vergillius, you can just tell that from the delivery. The blue text is an unknown femenine voice, The yellow text feels somewhat familiar to that deeper voice that Don quixote will have on occasion. Ironically its more clear in her scream there at the end. ... and then we have the masculine voice in the red text.
But we'll get to that later! our next instance is in 7-13, on the inside of the Shooting Rage attraction. (( although i personally think it says Shooting Bagel. ))
okok but actually heres the text
Only the red voice this time, clearly the same person given the delivery too and with the added context of this node and the last one, it can be assumed that this is either the person who dreampt up La Manchaland, or straight up founded it.
And thanks to the Barber's Narration, we can also come to assume that this voice is also a Fixer, if these things are to be true.
Next, in 7-16, is NOT a flashback, but rather the reaction of The Barber.
The Barber recognizes the name to some degree, "THAT name" feels incredibly deliberate. But she is otherwise completely indifferent to Don.
and now we get to talk about this blue fuck
Sanson, Knight of the white Moon, Knight of Mirrors, ect ect, the BASTARD quick unrelated tangent but i think its cool that they made the arguable* main antagonist of Don Quixote possibly also be apart of Demian's Cool Blue Crew™ (( DCBC )) (( i say this because he shares his dialogue background with the other members of the blue crew we've met )) anyways basically the ENTIRE SEQUENCE he causes is the main reasoning behind my theory here *arguable ok again i havent read the book so i have no idea if this is an accurate assessment of his character i saw an article say that he was "arguably" the antagonist once and i haven't talked to anyone who has actually read the book to yap at about before i make these posts. addendum over
The fact of the matter is, Don Quixote does a right shit job of recounting her own story. She gets lines wrong, minor details, and this becomes readily apparent as soon as she implies that her own fucking shoes are who she was talking to, and that they are given proper reply. (( My thoughts are that instead of Rocinante, the role is in fact Sancho, but we have no evidence of that being the case ))
We also get the most telling flashback lines in this segment!
...The voice we've come to associate with Don Quixote is shown to NOT say her own line, but rather that of the line in red. And in both of these incidents, ellipsis are used to blank out a word, my bets are all on that word being "Knight" baybee
THATS A WRAP FOLKS we've established all the evidence for my epic theory that uhhh the Red voice in don's flashbacks are an Older, Original Don Quixote and that its possible that our Don is a 2'st Don instead of a real Don
As for why this is happening??? I have no fuckin idea its the first part of the canto i just wanted to get my thoughts out
i hope this wasnt too incomprehensible! as is usual dont follow me ect ect and reply or something if you have anything to add, as said im not very knowledgeable on the source material. or do that thing where you reblog with an additional comment because i will reblog that. free reblog ok goodbye now i will be stabbed to death momentarily
#limbus company#limbus don quixote#don quixote lcb#lcb#don quixote#project moon#fan theory#ramblings#i mean at least this was probably more coherent than the last time i did this right? right?? please please please plea-

Don Quixote Addressing the Goatherds
Artist: John Vanderbank (English, 1694–1739)
Date: 1730
Medium: Oil paint on canvas
Collection: TATE Britain
Description
The panel is one of nearly forty similar scenes from 'Don Quixote' which Vanderbank painted during the 1730s. They are related to but not direct replicas of the more than sixty illustrations, begun in 1723, which the artist drew for an edition of Cervantes's novel published by Tonson in 1738.
Don Quixote, the full title being The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, s a Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes. It was originally published in two parts, in 1605 and 1615. Considered a founding work of Western literature, it is often said to be the first modern novel. The novel has been labelled by many well-known authors as the "best book of all time" and the "best and most central work in world literature". Don Quixote is also one of the most-translated books in the world and one of the best-selling novels of all time.
For Cervantes and the readers of his day, Don Quixote was a one-volume book published in 1605, divided internally into four parts, not the first part of a two-part set. The mention in the 1605 book of further adventures yet to be told was totally conventional, did not indicate any authorial plans for a continuation, and was not taken seriously by the book's first readers.

SPOILERS FOR SEPERATE WAYS UNDER CUT N O T OPEN IT IF YOU DONT WANNA SEE EM!!!!!!!!
Here’s my little tiny exploration of Luis’ character because it is my god-given duty to pull him apart and analyse him
• Ok so first off………. THE OPENING SCENE??????????? Oh my god there’s S O MUCH TO TALK ABT. Yes Luis dancing is hot as SHIT but also???????? He was about to get TORTURED and MURDERED and he STILL decided to have fun with it and do a lil dance?????? That’s so!!!!!!!!!! He wants to live out his fantasies right until the end!!!!! He truly does think his confidence can get him anywhere!!!!!!! And then when the dance ends he’s READY TO FISTFIGHT THE MONKS?????? NO WEAPONS HES FULLY ABIUT TO GO FISTFIGHT THEM???? He KNOWS it’s a loosing battle but he’s gonna fight tooth and nail to the very end!!!!!!!!!!!
• Also when he turns to face the person who was also dying in the cell and says “this next dance is for you brother” and we get a close up of his face……….. god it hurts to know that that was a person. Somebody who was beautiful in their own right and maybe even somebody who meant something to Luis. Even in the face of death Luis sees the beauty in it ARGHGAGWHSGSB
• Also also I’m sure SOMEBODY could find meaning behind the Flamenco (somebody more knowledgeable in Spanish culture than me) but I’ve heard some people say it symbolises capture and death???? CAPCOM HOW DARE YOU HURT ME SO
• I LOVE that we get to see a more relaxed side of Luis around Ada and less of his flirtiness and damn. It’s so obvious he and Leon are in Love. He’s trying soooooooo hard to impress Leon every time they talk by being super flirty with him and then whenever he’s with Ada he’s a total nerd he’s soooooooooooooo in love w that blonde twink
• GODDAMN THAT FIRE SCENE. WHAT I S N T THERE TO TALK ABOUT??????? First of all the paralells between his childhood where he watched his grandfather die in a fire?????? Also he FULLY RAN INTO A BURNING BUILDING AND ALMOST DIED J U S T TO GET LEON HIS MEDICINE????????????? HE CARES ABOUT LEON SM I WANNA RIP SOMETHING APART. He didint wanna see Leon die in the same way his Grandfather did because he couldn’t save his Grandfather back then!!!!!!!!!!! He wants to make things right!!!!!! HE WAS LITERALLY ON HIS HANDS AND LNEES CRYING I CANT I CANT
• Also ADA CARES ABT LUIS SM,,,,,,,, SHE RAN INRO A BURNING BUILDING TO SAVE HIM AND MAKE SURE HE DIDINT DIE,,,, THE BESTIES EVAH
• godDAMN that scene where Luis heals Ada?????? I LOVE that we see him hesitate for a good solid few seconds on wether or not he should run away from her or stay,,, wether or not he should go back to his usual habits of running away from the people he loves or stay to help,,,, ANS HE STAYS TO HELP BECAUSE HE CARES ABY ADA AND ALSO??? ADA BEING LIKE “leave me here……… besides…… you’ve got a promise to keep……..” OOOOOOOUGGHHH SHE KNOWS,,,, SHE KNOWS HOW MUCH LEON MEANS TO HIM I CANNOG RN also that lil apothecary thing he had was sooooo gender of him
•OH MY GOD HIS DEATH SCENE WHERE HE CALLS HER?????????????? I don’t remember EXACTLY what he said and I’d have to comb through like hours of footage to find it again but,,,,,. THE FACT THAT HE CALLED HER TO SAY GOODBHE????? HE CARES ABOUT HER RIGHT UMTIL THE END?????? AND HE CALLS HIMSELF HER ‘Good Samaritan’ IN THE SAME WAY HE CALLS HIMSELF DON QUIXOTE TO LEON AOAOAISAUJSSOSISKS,,,,,, and then he’s like “sorry I’ve gotta go Leon needs my help ;)” OUGH,,,,, I’m gonna reference another post from my mutual but it’s so sad that Luis got to spend the rest of his life with Leon but not the other way round………………..
• I’m so glad we got to see more of Luis and more of his personality when he’s not tryna swoon the blonde twink he’s in love with BXNSBEHEJXIAIS he feels like such a deep and real human being especially whenever he interacts with Ada and I just,,,,,,,,,, sigh. He’s my favourite character for a reason. 10/10 no notes
• Edit: also the parallels between Luis calling himself Ada’s ‘Good Samaritan’ and Leon his Sancho like AAAAAAAAAA???? You could pick apart the meaning and argue abt how good samaritans are usually friends and Sancho is a code word for Gay Lover in a lot of old fashioned Spanish bars like how ‘friends of Dorothy’ was but ANSNWUENDUNXXUNDDHXN SHUT UP I can’t rn
•Also I’m SURE you could pull some symbolism from the bugs and from Luis having an apothecary as catholic self-exorcism and how ‘science is the roof of all evil’ and Luis is using it to help others etc etc etc……….
Also if anyone else finds anything abt luis lore wise like how you have to find a picture of his grandfather or of him with Umbrella in the original PLEEEEAAAAASSSWE SHOW ME I NEED MORE LUIS BACKSTORY I NEED IT IN MY VEINS
• ALSO ALSO EDIT: the fact that one of the ingredients for his cure are butterfly wings???? And butterflies symbolise CHANGE????? HIS ENTIRE ARC IS ABT CHANCE??????? I’m actually gonna be sick.

Hi! can you recommend some historical fiction and/or mysteries?
I adore the 3 Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo, it's been a hot minute since I read something so captivating. Do you know something similar?
Thank you:)
Sure thing!
You may have already read the classics, but just in case, for historical fiction for fans of Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo we suggest:
Don Quixote by Migeul de Cervantes
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
Scaramouche by Rafael Sabatini
The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas (EDIT: the first version of this list had Roy Thomas as the author due to a copy-paste error. Roy Thomas is listed as the author of the Marvel graphic novel version - which, hey, also exists if graphic novels are your thing!)
Then we have a couple more recent offerings that might fill that craving:
An Affair of Poisons by Addie Thorley (Sun King era, YA)
The Cardinal's Blades by Pierre Pevel (There's dragons in this one)
Scarlet by Genevieve Cogman (Vampires in this one)
Outlaw by Angus Donald (This one's Robin Hood, but it has a similar adventure feel, and revenge as a main theme)
Revenge by Stephen Fry (A contemporary Count of Monte Cristo)
I hope at least one of those works for you! And of course, if anyone else has recs feel free to add them in the replies or reblogs. Happy reading!

hi! do you have serennedy headcanons about luis and leon being parents?
Hello!! Of course I do omg are you kidding me!!!!!!! I have a whole tag on my main @wisecrackingeric-2 titled ‘DadSerennedyAU’ if you wanna see my own spin on the idea!!!!! ORRRR if you wanna read something from yet another incredibly talented artist and author I CANNOT recommend @mooseonahunt ‘s AU enough!!!! And I know the lovely @geddy-leesbian has made some posts on this subject also!!!!!!!
But in terms of Headcannons I have plenty!! I’ll put them below the cut to avoid clogging anyone’s dashes!!
Edit: THIS IS UH UM. V E R Y LONG. I WENT KINDA BUCKWILD WITH THIS ONE AHDNCHDNXUXJXJ SO UH PLEASE ENJOY I GUESS!!
• First and foremost they are t4t. Sorry I don’t make the rules (also. Look at my blog name HQNAHWNEHDNDUDJ /lh)
• I imagine it was probably Luis who wanted a kid- we don’t know much about Leon’s childhood other than the fact that his parents died (the very wonderful @highball66 has some more information on the backstory we DO have for him!!) and thus we don’t really have a good idea of what his relationship with his parents might’ve been- but Luis is the TOTAL opposite. We know from context clues that he had a really strong relationship with his Grandfather, who went as far as to encourage his love for science and the unorthodox in an incredibly strict Catholic environment, and it’s implied on some level that Bitores Mendez had some hand in helping raise him, so I can imagine that Luis is very attached to the idea of parenthood and would probably wanna be the same kind of man his Grandfather was to him!!!
• Leon???? Realistically???? Probably a whole lot more hesitant- like he almost dies on the job everyday there’s no way he’d feel fit enough to raise a kid. But also,,,,, this is resident evil and also fiction where we can do whatever the hell we want so hell yeah he comes around to the idea eventually!!!!!!
• Luis is probably accidentally VERY clingy with their kid/a lil overbearing during the toddler age. Everything he’s ever contributed to in his life has either hurt others or he’s destroyed it one way or another- and everyone he’s held closest to him dies in some way. And going off of the first point, he’s probably put a LOT of pressure on himself to be a good Dad like his Grandfather was, so that usually ends up with him hogging the baby HCNNSSNSJSNIS
• Leon, again similar to my last point, would probably have the opposite reaction where he has this gut instinct to keep his distance- like he’s worried if he gets too attached it’s all gonna be ripped away from him just like Sherry was all of those years ago. But I highly doubt either of their qualms last for very long- they’d talk things out and figure out something that works for the both of them <3
• They’d probably go with the same middle and last name as Luis- ‘Serra’ and ‘Navarro’. I know I keep repeating myself but Luis had a really good relationship with his Grandfather and his culture/heritage clearly means a lot to him (ie; the intro to Seperate Ways), so being able to keep that little piece of his history alive would probably mean the world to him <<33
• And going off of that, Luis is ALWAYS trying to encourage their kid to learn more about their culture and heritage- teaching them Spanish, cooking them traditional foods, etc etc etc and when Luis isn’t there to do it, Leon is always more than happy to do so <<<<<<33333
• Let’s be real,,,,,,, Leon is coming up with the cringiest baby names ever HXNEHENDUXNXU CMOOOOOON LOOK AT MR. WHERES EVERYONE GOING BINGO!!!!! But Luis probably isn’t much better BCNENWEJSJ I can easily picture him convincing Leon that noooooo Alonso or Miguel aren’t references to Don Quixote hahahahahaha omg what’re you taaaalking abooout. So anyways if it were a girl what about Dulcinea-
• I’m picturing them choosing to have a kid a lil bit later than most people (like,, late 30’s-early 40’s??? So not like they’re old or anything but it’s not like they’re having kids in their early 20’s yk HNCSHDNSJ) so for that reason in my mind they’d probably only want one kid
• Very predictable but they both read Don Quixote to their kid when putting them to sleep and/or they sing them lullabies in Spanish. Who here is surprised for that one certainly not me
• And once again WHO IS SURPRISED, the kid’s room is very subtly Don Quixote themed. Lil stuffed donkeys and windmill motifs everywhere you get it (<- normalest guy alive)
• Leon’s probably the one who does more physical activities with their kid- realistically, Luis is N O T surviving that knife to the back without some major lifelong injuries, so Leon’s the one who always carry’s their kid on his shoulders or swings him around when they’re playing etc etc
• I think Luis would be a lil sad that he isn’t able to join in on those kinds of physical activities, but he’d absolutely make up for it by taking their kid to work or teaching them general hands-on skills n stuff!!
• Leon ABSOLUTELY would wanna teach their kid self-defence as early as possible. He obviously mellows out and realises hey maybe teaching a 10 year old how to wield a knife is a Bad Idea, but with everything he’s seen in his life there’s no way he wouldn’t want his kid to know how to defend themselves at LEAST
• Wild-card one here but the three of them ABSOLUTELY take family trips to Madrid or other cities in Spain during the summer
• Last wild-card one but sometimes Luis will look at their kid and see his Grandfather so clearly he just starts fuckim bawlimg. Same with Leon. He sees the childhood he could’ve had and sometimes he’s gotta excuse himself to cry. Love these beautiful idiots
Tl;dr they would be very very wonderful parents who would love their kid with all of their heart and soul and you can put that headcannon from my COLD DEAD HANDS!!!!!!

Its me, back at it again with the funny spreadsheets
So on July 5th, I did my initial post of the Funny Sin Counting Spreadsheet
Its time for an update!
Link to the Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GiO4F1Sf8soycIDIgDc9XrpptVBIghkxaaFGRCXSOQI/edit#gid=0
Small Note on how I calculate Sin Numbers:
Skill 1 = 1, Skill 2 = 2, Skill 3 = 3, Guard Skill = 1, EGO = 1
Analysis of the Sins again below the cut:
Yi Sang
Oh my boy has Lust now! Its his lowest stat, but he has some!
His Sloth is still his main stat, at 19 now, with Gluttony now as his second.
Still Matches Default Ego
Faust
Faust's primary Sin is now Gloom at 16. (Formerly Envy!) Faust's Oddity with none of her IDs matching her original ID has now broken, starting with her Seven ID. However every ID since her original still has Gloom in it, which is impressive.. But she doesn't have the same sin in EVERY ID, unlike a certain someone who is mentioned later in this list
Faust was also our first person with an ID that has Four Different Sins in L Corp EGO Regret. And still the only one to have that. HOW ODD...
Still Does Not Match Default Ego
Don Quixote
Don's Sins have very much developed since then, with Envy being her primary sin at 13, and Lust behind at 10. Formerly being Envy/Lust match. This makes a lot of sense with her goal of wanting to fixer, and... She might be envious of their status.
No Longer Matches Default Ego
Ryoshu
Ryoshu is unchanged, with Lust as her primary since the last check in and now, going from 9 to 15 now. However her second has changed from Gluttony to Pride, which makes sense, an artist has to be proud of her work.
She did gain some Gloom, only 1... in Soda EGO. I too am inflicted with Gloom because of Capitalism, Ryoshu.
Still Matches Default Ego
Meursault
Meursault's Primary Sin hasn't changed in Pride at all, going from 11 to 17, but his Wrath has EXPLODED into second place at 14! My stoic boy, what do you have to be upset about? He still has 0 in Gluttony however.
I'm not quite sure how to categorize BL Meursault's Sin Numbers, because of his special skill. So I just... Put it as an extra 3. While not the first 1+2+3, he is the second... (And both Pride too, HM.)
Still Matches Default Ego
Hong Lu
Our boy is the biggest change out of everyone. He has a 3 way tie for Primary Sin in Lust, Sloth, and Pride at 11! This makes sense with his upbringing, but this is a big change from a primary Lust. Envy is however still his lowest Sin.
Still Does Not Match Default Ego
Heathcliff
Our King of Envy is back! At 19, With a clean sweep of Envy across all IDs! If his next ID has even ONE Envy in it, he'll break into the 20s. Lust is still his secondary sin, so he didn't change much here.
He did gain 1 pride at the Pequod ID, but still no Sloth.
Still Matches Default EGO
Ishmael
Ishmael's Primary Sin is still Wrath, at 17, and Gloom in second. She has gained a little bit of Sloth in her Boatwork Fixer ID. Theres not much else to comment on here.
Still Does Not Match Default EGO
Rodion
We have a mild change in Rodya's stats, as she has Two Primary Sins now with Wrath and Pride at 11 each. Shes all over the board with her sins, which makes sense, as she is indulgent at times.
Still Matches Default EGO (Barely!)
Sinclair
Sinclair's number changes are quite interesting in how they have expanded. While Wrath is still his primary, it is JUST BARELY, with Lust and Pride coming in at 10. Lust coming out of left field.
Gluttony is no longer his last sin (Now being Sloth), getting a huge boost from his last 2 IDs and Lantern.
Still Does Not Match Default EGO however, but matches better
Outis
Outis Outis Outis. Oh Outis.
Initially you were Inconclusive, now you are in the Pride Camp, my dear at 14. You also have a secondary in Lust at 11. These are what I thought she would have, but the Inconclusive numbers from before were really interesting. She still has 0 Envy however, which is still interesting.
The first person to have a 1+2+3 in a Sin, with Magic Bullet. This + Cinq boosted her Pride a lot
Now Matches Default EGO
Gregor
Gregor's Primary Sin is still Sloth at 12, but Gloom is catching up just one behind at 11, and Gluttony right behind that at 10. Poor boy still has a 0 in pride, and only a 1 in Wrath. We may see a tossup in Gregor's future
Still Matches Default Ego
-----------
Top 3 In Sin
Instead of writing who has the highest and leaving it at that, I'm going to do a 1st 2nd 3rd for each Sin, it'll be more interesting that way.
Wrath:
1st is Ishmael at 17 (returning champion)
2nd is Meursault at 15
3rd is a Rodya Sinclair tie at 11
Lust:
1st is Ryoshu at 15 (new winner!)
2nd is a three way tie of Hong Lu, Heathcliff, and Outis at 11
3rd is a tie of Don and Sinclair at 10
Sloth:
1st is Yi Sang at 19 (returning champion)
2nd is Gregor at 12
3rd is Hong Lu at 11
Gluttony:
1st is Gregor at 10 (returning champion)
2nd is a 3 way tie with Yi Sang, Hong Lu, and Sinclair at 9
3rd is a tie with Rodya and Ryoshu at 7
Gloom
1st is Faust, knocking it out of the park with a 16 (new winner!)
2nd Gregor at 11
3rd is Ishmael at 10 (from 1st to 3rd)
Pride
1st is Meusault at 17 points (returning champion)
2nd is Outis with 14
3rd is a tie between Hong Lu and Rodya at 11
Envy
1st is Heathcliff at 19
2nd is Don at 13
3rd is Faust at 9
And thats all for my funny update! Thank you for reading all the way through. I hope this gave you some light on your favorite characters. Or if you're just interested in the numbers like I am!

The non english version based on the notes of the other poll (translations are not mine. Apologies for any inaccuracies)
Update: I realize after i made it i put the same Don Quixote quote twice but i cant edit polls so 4 and 9 are the same. oops
update 2: I accidentally put the first line of ch 1 instead of the first line of the prologue for Posthumous Memoirs. the correct quote is "Ao verme que primeiro roeu as frias carnes do meu cadáver dedico como saudosa lembrança estas memórias póstumas".
Translations and sources:
– Iliade by Homer. (“Sing, goddess, of the anger of Achilles, son of Peleus”)
Anna Karenina by Lev Tolstoy ("All happy families resemble one another; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.")
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. ("Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice.")
Cervantes from Somewhere in La Mancha by Don Quixote, (“In a place whose name I do not care to remember")
The Aeneid. ("I sing of arms and men")
The Metamorphosis by Kafka ("As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.")
the Inferno by Dante ("When halfway through the journey of our life")
The Stranger by Albert Camus. (Mother died today. Or, maybe, yesterday; I can’t be sure”.)
Miguel de Cervantes by Don Quixote (“Somewhere in la Mancha, in a place whose name I do not care to remember, a gentleman lived not long ago, one of those who has a lance and ancient shield on a shelf and keeps a skinny nag and a greyhound for racing.”)
the Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas by Machado de Assis ("to the worm who first gnawed on the cold flesh of my corpse, I dedicate with fond remembrance these Posthumous Memoirs")

Hey there everyone, I’m a zoologist studying the behavior and adaptations traits of various domestic species, formerly specializing in a different sort of small creature, and currently highly focused on limbis. I would give you my name, but frankly, I know better than to give that away on the internet, so I’ll be going by a pseudonym of “Mod R.A.”.
I’m not here to directly blog about work, but I like to think I have some decent advice if you have limbi care questions or Especially if you don’t know what species/breed your limbi is. I also know several genetic conditions limbi can suffer if you need a preliminary diagnosis, but please actually try a veterinarian unless you really don’t have the cash to spare a potentially wasted checkup. I don’t judge, I’m just not here to constantly do the same thing I do on the clock. In the meantime, please appreciate my posts about my pets!
Yes yes, you’re gonna say it’s weird I do a whole job centered around limbis then go home to my own beautiful limbi children huh? Surprisingly, I went into this job cause I like the little guys. Also these two sorta just fell into my hands…. With a third potentially on the way. Don’t judge me, ok? Just click below the cut if you want to know about them.
//Hi there, quickly popping in OOC! Despite the IC text you can send me whatever, promise (M!A included btw)! I’ll edit this post and write it down if there needs to be an obvious clarification for what’s not allowed. As a heads up that will very vaguely explain things, this blog’s first two limbis are riffing off these little guys I have that are a few of my sonas combined with limbus company characters. Thus things might be a bit weird about them due to referencing sona stuff. pfp and background drawn by me. Have fun!//
Limbis currently in my care
Adopts:
Inky, very much a mixed breed, partly with something that isn’t even a limbi no less. Primarily presents as a mostly monochrome colored LCB Don Quixote. Clearly also has some electric screaming in her but most of the time you can’t even tell. Got sent her quite literally in a box with zero return address, whoever was responsible clearly knew my work and probably just didn’t wanna do the paperwork or some shit. Unfortunately, I’m less knowledgeable about Don Quixote care than I’d like to be, so I’m researching them and we’re figuring things out as we go. Was originally just going to turn her over to work for care while I do study, but she’s pretty young for a Don Quixote and seems to have bonded to me rapidly, I fear separating her for long periods would cause unnecessary emotional distress….
FauFau, also a mix but much less obvious than Inky. Might be just LCB Faust and Telepole variant mix, but her behavior is a bit strange for a Faust in general. A dear friend of mine picked her up and sent her to me because he really didn’t want to care for any limbis, and she was interesting enough I brought her into work for study. That led to me fostering her off the clock, and well… just recently fully adopted her. She might be a bit stupid but I love her for it. Please be nice to her.
Visitors:
A group of a W. Corp Limbis, led by a Dimension Shredder Yi Sang named Larkspur. Other members include W Corp Yi Sang named Flashy, Faust, Don Quixote, Outis and Hong Lu. Flashy, Outis and Hong Lu were formerly companions of a wayward passenger kept in my workplace, while Larkspur was donated to me and has become a replacement leader. The rest all kind of showed up.
So if you’ve been following the blog you might’ve seen the…. Whitenight incident. Looking over the aftermath, five of my limbis have been turned into partly Apostle Limbis. The lcb yi sang now named Barbatus, the multicrack Heathcliff, a w corp Faust, and the W corp Mersault have all changed pretty significantly in appearance, but a W corp Yi Sang just got a mask over his face? He’s named Alba now. These guys have been isolated for the time being, as I’m unsure exactly how this has affected their habits and stuff. They’re also accompanied by a cinq east Quixote from my friend, who’s like the others. I’m considering keeping Alba and the Quixote…
A singular fell bullet Yi sang named Licorice has been secluded in one room to destress, he’s slowly getting better and we might test his social skills soon with other Yi Sangs.
A multicrack Faust whom I’m trying to teach not to get into literally everything before sending her to a new place to stay.
Someone sent me a Carmen in a box? I figure she’ll leave on her own, eventually.
A little Zwei Gregor got summoned to protect me! He’s rather cute I gotta admit. May keep him idk.

Hi im the person that asked u about discord!! I tried my best to compile my thoughts about don quixote so hopefully the link works ;; I will write more soon
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1S9S1i0ncR-SC0Q1wQecxDrO24QxFNct2N6qFA-0_i6g/edit?usp=drivesdk
Also, did you know while shakespeare knew of cervantes, it is unlikely that cervantes ever heard of shakespeare. The two are considered the giants of literature and is said to have died on the same day (though, not actually because calendars were weird but it’s a fun thought
Thank you for sharing, it was a pleasure to read! I'm sorry it took me so long to answer!
I believe in this theory way more than I did when I first heard of it. And I'm convinced that Don's Canto is definitely will be inspired with musical, however I'm still doubting if she's Miguel herself. Maybe I was too into theories about Don being Sanch, to let go idea of her "inheriting the name" so easily. And I feel like with "Alonso Quijano" dying in the story and Miguel getting to trail in the end of musical that can make sense?
In that case, it could be that the "Man Of La Mancha" storyline ended, and we are going to explore aftermath and how it affected Don
( I kinda took your theory and started to rotate it until it fitted my vision, sorry)
I'm not sure if there will be any Inqusitors because Don seems to have like zero connections to N Corp, and they don't seem to be an important part of the story. Maybe there will be some other organization with similar roles.
And about prisoners, I am not sure if City has trial or even imprisonment as form of punishment but ...with all connections that get traced to Eight O'clock Circus, I kinda can imagine Miguel as being caught and forced being there, telling his story to entertain members. I'm not sure if Oswald would approve it, but maybe the absurdity of Don Quixote story would be amusing for him.
Also not sure if I like idea of any sinners being a characters. Kinda don't want to rob Don of important connections and NPCs, but if it should be one of the sinners than well, Hong Lu and Don almost never spoke with each other. He's one of the most suited to help, but there is no connection between him and Don. I would more see Rodya and Mearsault in this role to be honest.
Okay, all this answer reads like I'm against this theory, but I am swear it's not, it's just how I lead my conversations, and you can answer me with rejecting my ideas and writing how something else in her story would make more sense, and I would be happy to read it and interact
