😀sometimes you have to switch up styles.... experimenting with a toned tan sketchbook.... I use IG to post more stylized, whimsical and fun sketches. Here is version three of the “same subject different ways” challenge with @koosjekoene – this time doing splashes of watercolour first then doing line-work with watercolour pencils (I dip them in water to soften the tip). After the last sketch I posted when I used my dip pen, I thought I’d have another go using it, but avoid the ink running by only using watercolour pencils and not wetting them afterwards. My subject is just some random cleaning stuff I found in our house. Somehow I wasn’t satisfied with this effort as it just feels too “scratchy”! Sat-21-Sep-2024

It might seem like there has been a gap in my sketching habit, but I’ve been spending my evenings finishing off partly done sketches, instead of doing new ones. Here is another sketch inspired by a #DrawTipTuesday video of @koosjekoene – who suggested drawing your hands in various positions. I’ve always struggled drawing hands and this effort shows that. My fingers look like sausages and the colours came out far too orange! I also happened to eat (vegetarian) sausages the night I drew this, so it seemed like an appropriate title! Sun-1-Dec-2024
