Y'know all the snake and rat imagery in the trailer for s3? What if Newgene over here IS the snake and he's pretending to be Eugene.

Furthermore, what if he did the murder.

If he represents a snake, and snakes eat rats, what if he murdered a "rat". What if someone ratted him out (revealed his identity), and so he killed them.

Once again I've made some art, because the theory of Jancy being The Snake (Link to the theory/post) by @jackklinemybeloved has me in a vise gripe. Except, this time Jancy is a literal snake, and five of the people of Midnight alley are rats.

Newgene seems a lot more tucked in if that makes sense? Like his waist is more highlighted and his harness makes him seem tighter as opposed to Eugene, whose cape makes him seem a little hidden and chords are loose

I watched @nathanlongs drawtectives s3 ep 1+2 breakdown and they pointed out the slug man, and I KNOW WHATS UP WITH THE SLUG MAN.

So I have supplied context!!! For the slug man!!! I remembered!!!

Okay so I wanna talk about that big snake statue from the new drawtectives ep because I feel like it was kinda glossed over and will probably be important for next ep (if the warning they got at the end is about it, which... it has to be about that, right?)

So, first a cool detail I noticed that I don't wanna shoehorn into the end:

This snake statue was actually first shown in episode 2, during the midnight alley opening ceremony.

It looks so cool! Although it looks like metal or something, so how the hell did it catch on fire? I have no ideas for that, plz sound off in the replies. This is also a much closer look at it than the one we get in episode 4, which is nice. It's cool to finally know (some) of what the deal is with this statue, it kinda stuck out to me back when I first watched episode 2. Although the info we got only really gave me more questions.. cause like...the statue just showed up one day??? How???? It's so big! Also no one knows who made it? There's gotta be some crazy conspiracy videos on Bootube about it I just know it.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about this because I feel like maybe the creator of this statue and our elusive snake are one in the same.

Here's my evidence

1) snake motif (duh). But really, sea snakes were released into a flooded midnight alley at some point in the past to literally hunt people down, I imagine the citizens of midnight alley don't like them very much... The snake using that as their alias obviously shows how they're an antagonist to midnight alley (..cause they wanna flood it) but also kinda sticks out. Maybe they just chose it on purpose to be scary and like... reference the alley's history but idk, there could be more there

2) art motif. This might take some explaining but hear me out. In the art gallery, the snake not only vandalized Skeet's paintings but also drew a big snake on the wall.

They also wrote these sort of.. riddles? I guess? Maybe poems? Idk.. but those are also art! I had a theory after episode 3 that maybe the snake was some kind of disgruntled artist who was like, mad that Skeet got a spot in the gallery and they didn't, which maybe holds less water now but I still think it could be on the right track. Also, Fleur notably says the statue was 'installed' one day, like an art installation. Lots of art installations (especially the... less legal ones) just kinda show up overnight, so it being viewed as some art installation by the people of midnight alley makes sense. Anyway I mostly just wanted to say this cause I think the idea of the snake being an artist is REALLY compelling. It gives them a cool contrast/maybe even like a foil dynamic with the drawtectives, ik the drawtectives arent like, career artists in universe but they are good at art and they keep having to draw to solve mysteries so... they count. Also, it provides a sick as hell opportunity for some social commentary on the art industry or the art world or whatever which would RULE, that's the thing I most want to be right about with this theory haha

drawtectives s3 spoilers below the cut… I’m wondering about something.

Ok so. In the trailer jancy gets a phone call, answers it solemnly with short answers that don’t betray much emotion. She then tells York that there’s been a murder.

Sure, that phone call could totally be the director of the acting company, but the director is her friend so why is she so serious if she’s talking to her friend about arranging something fun? Is it just usual jancy seriousness (read: autism) or is that phone call not from the acting company?

Jancy went through all this trouble to send the Drawtectives to Midnight Alley, going so far as to trick them… If the point was to just let them have fun for a night, why didn’t she go with them? Why didn’t she just let Eugene take them? Why did she explicitly call them to the office? Was it really all for the sake of a joke? Is she just playing a prank for fun or is she trying to keep them away from something?

Are the Drawtectives in danger? Is Jancy in danger? Why do they all have to be at Midnight Alley tonight?

disclaimer this is mainly for fun and games im just bullshititng my way trough

Ok so last night i had an epiphany and the thumbnail for the trailer was eugene with his eyes and the one for ep 2 was him looking out for something.

And do the thumbnails mean something or are they just for artistic porpuses? in the trailer one he looks like he KNOWS but in the ep 2, when he has his eyes back, he looks like he doesnt not anything, so maybe he channels a ghost/gets possesed but the spirit cant stay in there for too long bc it may damage eugene in some way so eugene ocasionally gets this bursts of clarity.

In the ep2 one the eye area is getting lighting, symbolising the clarity burst. In the ep3 skeet gets the purple (like the lead light yk) on his eye and it gets bigger PLUS a commenter metioned that Skeet Autobahn was an annagram for "about the snake" so maybe that is his insight and we later on the season come back to him to know more about the snake.

Also i think julia mentioned in a pretty old stream thta she talked to the guest to make sure they'd comeback iftheir charc was the culprit, so the audience woulnt discard guests as culprits

If this turns out to be true, I hope the collective name/group name for The Snakes is "The Hydra".

HELLO HELLO ITS THAT TIME OF THE MONTH AGAIN!!! DRAWTECTIVES SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT :3

OKAY SO. THIS COULD MEAN NOTHING BUT I NOTICED SOMETHING.

So in episode 3, The Snake wrote all over the gallery on spray paint, right? And what’s noticeable about this is that 1) the writing is either in all caps or printed out and 2) The Snake’s signature has their name signed with a little snake as the S.

Now, the note in ep 5.

This is written with lowercase letters AND the signature doesnt have the little snake S. Which means either they’re just varying the way they write because handwriting differs when you’re not using spray paint….. or this wasn’t written by the Snake who vandalized the art gallery.

So are there multiple snakes? Is someone trying to throw the drawtectives off the path? Am I looking into this too deeply? WHO KNOWS!!!
