English: "I experienced sleep paralysis again; this time, it lasted a long time. I felt as if I had gone into a coma and could hear what was happening outside while still trapped in the dream. At one point, I resigned myself and flowed with what was happening in the dream. I am writing this two days later and don't remember much. I went through various places or dreams. In one of them, I saw my nephews, but they were like poor copies of themselves. Realizing I was dreaming, I tried to redesign them in my mind to make them look more like the real ones, but I only succeeded partially. Suddenly, I woke up. I am not sure if the feeling of being conscious in the dream is real or just a sensation caused by the dream itself."

In today's video, we will try to understand the process of Dreaming, if there is any meaning to them and can we train our minds to control our dreams. “Threat simulation theory” suggests that dreaming is a biological defense mechanism that has provided humans and even other animals the capacity to repeatedly look for potential threatening events since time immemorial. Which explains why sometimes our dreams get even more weirder when we sleep in a foreign location away from our own beds and homes. Dreams helps the brain to unite and create long-term memories in order to function properly. What we see and experience in our dreams might not necessarily be real, but the emotions attached to these experiences certainly are. The content of our dreams essentially try to strip the emotion out of a certain experience by creating a memory of it. This way, the emotion itself is no longer active.
