please please tell me more about your mingi and raiden thoughts because i too am obsessed with the way mingi essentially sets his sights on these older men, bats his eyelashes, and says “please take care of me”
hey there anon! i'm sorry it took me so long to respond lol i hope u haven't forgotten u dropped me an ask :"))
anw ur question is such a Loaded one bc what kind of raiden + mingi thoughts are we talking abt here?? let's start w/ the ones i can say on tumblr w/o utilizing the nsf/w tag, shall we?
• i think it's interesting how two of their public appearances together were at prestigious events and yet they (esp mg) seem to prefer keeping everything on the dl. until they deem it proper to slap us right on the face w/ the collab of a lifetime, that is. ps. pls watch rd's full set pls pls pls he's so GOOD.
[note: linking u to an oomf's posts bc i was the one who sent her the rd+mg anons! her insights are also very brain worm inducing, btw. very worth reading (ilu noé💕)]
• i said on this post how crazy it was that mg managed to get a skilled, experienced, established dj to remix a song of his that's essentially a very personal project meant to document n showcase his growth as an artist. it's quite...intimate, is perhaps the word i'd choose, at the risk of sounding deranged. the pragmatic part of me keeps insisting that yeah, ofc Autobahn is the obvious choice from a technical standpoint: the overall mood of the song is very fitting for a rave, and it can easily be performed live w/ just mg performing the song (still waiting for yunmin to join him on stage someday btw. fingers crossed). but all the previous things i mentioned pointed to the possibility that rd started remixing Autobahn w/ every intention of bringing mg to join him on stage. an edm stage, where a lot of ppl in the audience might not know who mg or atz is. it seems to me that rd was confident that mg would seamlessly fit into the his set (he did), and it speaks to how close they are as artists. that's...another thing to keep in mind, i guess?
so maybe mingi did bat his eyelashes at raiden. not just to ask to be taken care of, though, bc while mg is an adorable, curious, kind dongsaeng who listens well (most of the time), he's also outspoken, honest (sometimes to a fault), pragmatic, and most importantly: he knows his worth. he knows the value he brings into a relationship, and as he's said himself: it's important to be humble without putting urself down. maybe that's smg's appeal to ppl who are older than him, that confounding cocktail of dogged, fiery ambitions n a somewhat naive, earnest, and mischievous charm. or i'm just insane lol
#orb ponderer: anon#atz#mingi#dj raiden#thunder & lightning#⬅️ my tag for rd&mg stuff courtesy of rd's stage name & mg's stage presence#i'm officially insane Again abt these two lol i hope ur happy anon!#thoughts on: smg#mingi + other men (as he should)

i was using Spotify and I realized how u could see what ur friends are listening to atm on there and it would be so fun to have hotch discover this, and be surprised that the reader is listening to songs like “or nah” or j any explicit songs like that and is into it😋 could lead into something more like playing that song while they’re doing it later on
OKAY THANK YOU LOVE UR WRITING!!!
i love you! i just left this vague and open to whatever song you want to insert!
this post is 18+, minors dni.
Being Spotify friends with Aaron Hotchner only came about because of Penelope's insistence on team bonding. And because she wanted to send everyone the personalized playlists she'd made for them, and sharing became much easier that way.
All it's yielded for you is the knowledge that, very infrequently, Hotch remembers he has a music app on his phone, and that he plays 2-3 Beatles songs before he inevitably gets called to another task and has to shut off the music.
Aaron is even less frequently informed of your tastes in music than you are of his, because the few times that he's used the app, he forgets to check what the other members of the team are listening to. Not that he really cares; Spencer's listening to classical and Derek has too-loud EDM playing in his headphones that Savannah teases him for. Rossi prefers records to his phone, and JJ plays mainly kids' songs for her boys. Emily is always listening to some mid-2000's rock song, but you, you he hasn't gotten a read on. You're all over the place, switching from singer to singer, genre to genre, language to language. All in all, his team's music taste doesn't affect him, but Penelope is far more eager to snoop on you all than he is.
"Ooh, nasty girl," She gushes, head bent to look at her phone as she waits in Aaron's office. He'd instructed her to let him have five minutes to finish a report before she briefed him on a new case's details, but she's proving very distracting. With a glance up at her, half-scathing, half-incredulous, he asks, 'What?'
"Oh! Y/N's Spotify," She holds out her phone as explanation, showcasing your profile with unfamiliar album art displayed over it. It's black and red, but Aaron doesn't recognize the song or the artist.
He raises an eyebrow at Penelope, and she huffily gives into his demand.
"It's a song about sex," She informs him, "Like- feral, sweaty, hungry, clawing-at-the-sheets, scratching-up-his-back, mouth-open-so-he-"
"Alright! Enough," Hotch snaps, glaring disapprovingly at her rather vulgar language, "I think I get the picture, Garcia."
"Sorry, sir." She looks only mildly sheepish, talking more to herself than she is to him as she muses, "Didn't know she was into that kind of thing."
Aaron doesn't think about the title of the song again until well after Penelope's gone, and he's taking his lunch alone in his office. He's more a fan of songs that, if they are about sex, don't outwardly mention any vulgarity, and he's not sure if he could handle explicit material being spewed at loud volumes directly into his ear. Call it morbid curiosity, call it Disapproving Boss Syndrome, but he fishes near-new headphones out of his desk drawer to find out what you've been listening to while filling out government paperwork all day.
He has the good sense to look it up on youtube without logging in. He doesn't want this attached to him in any way, and he certainly doesn't want eagle-eyed Penelope catching him on Spotify.
The beginning of the song seizes the ear right away, a unique beat that definitely doesn't sound sexually appealing. But when each different instrument filters in and the lyrics begin, he realizes that Penelope's description was not very far off.
It's filthy.
It's twenty kinds of vulgar, words that he's never even heard before being used to refer to genitalia. The only way he figures out their definitions is through context, and he thinks he may have been better off without knowing them. He's floored by the contents of the song; he knows sexual songs exist, even at this level of vulgarity, but he'd have never expected you to indulge in them. Certainly not in the workplace.
The song finishes out at three minutes and nine seconds, and Hotch feels a slight heat to his face as he unplugs his headphones and closes the tab. No one had caught him, but he feels mortified anyways, and decides he no longer has an appetite.
He puts the lid back onto the container of leftover pasta that he'd brought from home, keeping his head down as he treks to the kitchenette to refrigerate it.
Of course, his luck fails him as he nearly bumps into you, rounding the corner to the small, closed-off kitchen and finding you in front of the microwave in the doorway.
"Oh! Sorry, Hotch." You laugh, stepping out of his way to let him through. He notices an earbud in your ear and pushes away the knowledge of what song you're probably listening to, heading for the fridge instead.
"It's fine." He grumbles, electing to stay silent for the rest of your impromptu meeting if he can manage. He feels slightly guilty for being cold towards you, because it was his own curiosity that led to his embarrassment, but he can't look you in the eyes right now.
You see fit to fill the awkward silence with the tapping of your nails on the counter, and with a jolt of recognition, and something else far more intense below the belt, he realizes that you're tapping out the beat of the song.
He ignores your sharp gasp as he slams the refrigerator door perhaps a tad too hard. He doesn't have time to feel bad about startling you, though, not when he so desperately needs to be back in the confines of his office, away from the prying eyes of the team.
His sharp memory comes in handy as he calls upon the name of the song later that night, pretending to himself that he's only doing it because it's been stuck in his head. Not because every time he thinks of it, or rather, of you listening to it, his pants tighten slightly. He chooses youtube first, but something drags his thumb towards the spotify button instead, and he swallows the saliva that's suddenly pooled in his mouth when his suspicions are confirmed: you're listening to it, too.
At eleven-thirty at night, probably beneath the covers on your bed just like Aaron is, you're listening to a song about sex, and as he sinks a hand beneath the waistband of his pajama pants, he knows without a doubt that you're doing the same.

[INTERVIEW] Wonho shares exclusive unseen images as he releases his latest track ‘What Would You do.’
"My fans always show their love for me, so I want to repay them by showing an honest filterless side of me"
K-pop idol Wonho is a hard-working powerhouse. He’s as meticulous and precise with his fitness workouts as he is with his performances. Softly spoken and considerate in person, his explosiveness manifests itself when he takes to stage. With a body of a Greek God that has been carved out of marble, and his penchant for a cut-out Paul Mescal-length short short, the ‘Open Mind’ singer’s physique often gets attention both online and in interviews. Despite his tough training regimen in the gym, Wonho’s music takes a much softer side with plenty of ballads with romantic and emotionally raw lyrics with a fusion of EDM, pop and R&B.
After being away for two years to complete his military service in Korea, he’s returned with his comeback single ‘What would You do.’ The quasi-ballad, sang in English, is full of melancholy lyrics that explore the concept of trying to get the person who broke your heart to understand the weight of their actions. In this sad-boy arena, Wonho showcases his exceptional vocal range, that floats right up to lofty falsetto heights as the drums crash beneath him in the song.
Mandatory military service in Korea, which lasts almost two years, is a long time for an artist to step off the gruelling K-pop Idol schedule, but it can also give time for reflection and growth, both personally and sonically. As Wonho prepares to do his first solo trip to the U.S to bee reunited with his devoted fanbase called ‘WENEES’ and solo Jingle Ball debut, he tells us about his time away from the music industry, as well as sharing some exclusive images with us that give us a glimmer into his world.
How has the landscape of the music industry changed since you have been away? Have you noticed a difference with anything?
The music scene moves very quickly, so I wanted to focus on keeping my originality and making music that you can listen to for a long time.
What did you miss most about the WEENEES?
What I missed most is definitely being able to directly meet my fans and hear their cheers in person. That’s the thing I want to hear the most, and I really missed it. So I am really happy!
How about your music? Were you able to write and explore your music at all over the past few years?
So, I definitely continued to work on my music and I think I had a lot of opportunities to do so. I also tried picking up new instruments and this is definitely a more relaxing time for me to make music and I felt very happy and didn’t have too many worries during this time.

So I'm just going to say it ...
I know there's a lot of folks who aren't feeling the new Night Court series, and it's likely not going to get renewed for another season. But I am proudly in the minority of folks who are enjoying the show and I appreciate what it's trying to do and the laughs it provides.
And this week's episode is a great example of that. Setting aside my pro-anyone-associated-with-Broadway-is-awesome bias, this week's episode was fantastic!
Sidenote: Yay! Andrew Rannells!
This episode was grounded in what felt like an honest commentary of what is going on in the world. And I especially adored it because my personal backstory is that the episode was probably born from an actual conversation someone had about or with John Larroquette in real life.
There was both silliness (the whole bit about the EDM festival in Flushing) and heart (the conversation at the end where Dan expresses how it hurt that the people he cared about were just humoring him because of his age). I love it when the show does that!
The B storyline (the lie detector test/crush on Wyatt) was just as funny as the A storyline, and it helped reveal just a little bit more about the characters as well, which is always appreciated. Character development has always been a must when it comes to any show truly resonating with me, and it's nice to see they haven't forgotten that.
I also appreciated the balance of this episode. Sure, there was a commentary about generational differences, but Julianne got to represent the cooler members of the older generations. And Andrew Rannells' character Tad represented how a bit douche-y and annoying some members of younger generations can be, especially toward older gens. The point being that ageism can go both ways. But in the end, everyone got to be funny and showcase how each person in the cast is talented in their own way.
I understand that this might be the last season of the new version, but I am unapologetically enjoying it and wish the network would give it space to find its rhythm like the original series got a chance to do. As much as I enjoyed the OG Night Court, I won't pretend that it didn't need a couple of years to find the right cocktail of talent and its own singular voice.
Surely, I'm not the only one who remembers that there was an entirely different court clerk before Charles Robinson joined in the 2nd season, 2 public defendants before Markie Post joined in the 3rd season, and 2 bailiffs before Marsha Warfield joined in the 4th season. And even though there were funny and heartfelt episodes in the first 3 seasons, the show didn't really hit its stride until the 4th season when Marsha joined the cast.
But unfortunately, audiences have shorter attention spans now, and any series that doesn't deliver nonstop gut-busting laughs in the first 2 or 3 episodes is often automatically considered "unwatchable" by the audiences who rely on a popular influencer or YouTuber to tell them what to think.
Oh well, I am determined to be grateful for what we have been allowed to enjoy. Because the show has really delivered some great laughs at a time when I most certainly needed them.
Now to convince NBC to release each season on DVD or in a downloadable permanent streaming format for those of us who would like to watch the show any time we want in the future.

Arlecchino Demo Music Analysis
DISCLAIMER: I am no musical expert in any way, just a massive fan of the Genshin soundtrack and learned music theory as a hobby.
One of my favorite things about Genshin is its music. It is not just that it sounds amazing, but each element, style, and motif has meaning and purpose- while being orchestrated and mixed to create a truly magnificent and unique musical experience. It is no exaggeration that this soundtrack is one of a kind.
Arlecchino's Character Demo has just been released, so I want to make a musical breakdown of it because I think it is a stellar example of how Genshin uses music to signify its themes and present its story. Before we get into that, there are ideas that I must detail for you to get the full picture, so I hope you enjoy!
Genshin uses musical elements to signify certain ideas (places, characters, elements, etc.). For example, Chinese and Japanese instrumentation signify Liyue and Fontaine respectively, but it goes beyond this.
"Travelers' Reverie" — Behind the Scenes of the Music of Sumeru | Genshin Impact
You may have noticed that a majority of Genshin's environmental music consists of real world instruments. There are even videos showcasing the orchestras and instruments of each nation (Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine), and using orchestral/live instruments even applies to other regions such as Enkanomiya, The Chasm, Golden Apple Archipelago, and etc. This gives each region a distinct musical identity, but all together it establishes them as places that are grounded and real.
During the final act of Fontaine's archon quest, we have been introduced to a new musical identity. This is Genshin's dubstep, and it has been used to signify otherworldly power. This genre not made by a real orchestra or real instruments, but through sampling (using existing sounds/music) and technology.
This is the identity in its most blatant form: (Shadow phase of the All Devouring Narwal boss fight)
This entire track symbolizes this. No other track within Genshin's world sounds remotely like it, symbolizing its otherworldly nature. It does not belong here- not with the live orchestras and melodic symphonies of Genshin's world.
Simply put, hardcore dubstep = otherworldly
Note: I am aware that many character demos and other tracks also use dubstep/EDM, but for the purposes of this post I think it should be left separate. Only if someone openly disputes this conclusion then I would happily oblige in presenting more evidence to this thru a reply or rb. Essentially, dubstep IS used in other tracks, but only in Silhouette of Catastrophe and Arlecchino's demo is the dubstep used as a"main idea", while also accompanied by heavy bass and "smaller intricate" sounds. This specific form of dubstep is what signifies being otherworldly.
Another musical element is children's singing!
In terms of the in-game ost, children's singing is used most prominently in Dragonspine's soundtrack in Genshin's world- and I will admit that I am not sure why that is. Perhaps Dragonspine has themes relating to innocence? Childhood? Tranquility? Whatever it is, I am not sure of. (If you have an idea, I would love to know!)
Instead, we can look at a certain character demo:
Nahida's! The beatdrop of her demo begins with children's singing. I believe this represents her innocent nature, status as a young archon, and the children of the forest that surround her- the Aranara.
Not only that, but the only other people in her demo are all children. Suffice to say, Genshin pays very close attention to using their music to reflect the themes and attributes of their characters in their demos (I could make more posts about this- breaking down more demo music...I think that'd be fun)
It's fairly straightforward, but essentially children's singing = children, innocence, and childhood
Now let's (finally) look at Arlecchino's demo
Let's first review each of the main musical elements and what they represent:
Dubstep and distortion: Otherworldly power. For Arlecchino: her curse, power, and dominance. "A spark cannot shatter all shadows until it sets all ablaze"
Children's voices and music box: Children. For Arlecchino: a lullaby; possibly protectiveness/care or tainted innocence (depending on how you interpret how she sees her children)
The music begins with a solo piano- lonely, melancholic, and mysterious. This is how she is after the death of Clervie and the rest of the children of the HotH.
Afterwards, the piano gets distorted- then replaced with harsh artificial beats and musical turmoil. This may be reflected on how she defeated her "mother" using her otherworldly power- her curse.
Following this is the anticipated beatdrop. Fascinatingly, it is not actually lead by dubstep, but by a distorted music box with a creeping melody. Not only that, but it is accompanied by a children's choir and a drum beat together.
The dubstep then ramps up- completely overtaking the track. But one it has reached its height, it is interrupted by the music box and singing children.
One can interpret this as her children holding her back from unleashing her true power. When she is most ruthless and violent, she is reminded of their playfulness and innocence.
The choir ends abruptly- but afterwards, the children's voices and music box lead the melody, while the dubstep and distortions accompany it harmoniously to create one whole piece.
This is who Arlecchino is. A Father and Harbringer defined by "caring" for her children and her otherworldly power. A love that nurtures and neglects- a power that frees and destroys. A wolf in sheep's clothing, or a sheep in wolf's clothing?
However the demo doesn't end there- the solo piano returns once again.
"Its flame is no longer needed, for you have the strength to defend yourselves"
This is going into speculative territory, but perhaps after she passes on her title as "king", she is once again lonely, left without a family. After all, she may no longer be needed or wanted at all- not after all that she has done, not after all that she has failed to do.
Conclusion
I love Genshin's music from the bottom of my heart. One reason why is the attention, detail, and beauty put into each track. Each piece is not only an experience, but also a story, an idea, a character, a place, whatever the artists wish to portray.
Arlecchino's Character Demo is one but many pieces that showcase this. In this track, we are able to discern Arlecchino's two core ideas, her relationship with her children and otherworldly power, through an incredible combination of singing, a music box, and dubstep. One can even theorize the course of her story through its visuals and music, in the end creating a beautiful and encompassing display of "Arlecchino".
#this does not even talk about the VISUAL details. just the music ALONE is so much#holy shit this i really did all this in one day#dear god arlecchino is truly amazing#i hope u guys like a music analysis im gonna hope this does not flop alkdjfalsdjls#its also really damn long whahhaha#also I am ofc open to criticism im not exactly an expert here#i love love genshins music so much#its amt of motifs and recurring themes could rival undertale#i am not joking#evelynpr genshin#genshin#genshin impact#arlecchino#the knave#music analysis#nahida#peruere#house of the hearth

My research on Sound Design!
So, what is it?
It is the process of creating, recording, manipulating and layering audio to compose an experience. Whether it comes through TV, games, film or music, it all gives us an experience. It's not just about adding sound to an existing piece of media, but its about crafting or choosing the right sound to evoke realism, emotion or meaning.
The Science Behind it All
The Physics
Sound, generally, travels through what is known as Sound Waves. It is vibrations in the air.
Hz or Frequency is what determines high and low pitch (higher notes or deep rumbles).
dB aka Amplitude is how loud the sound is.
Tools such as EQ, reverb, compression and filters are used to manipulate the sound to showcase clarity, amplify or dilute emotion or even change the style entirely.
2. Psychoacoustics (The feel of sound)
Through audio, our brain interprets space, threat, calmness and direction.
Low sounds or drones indicate danger or tension, which interacts with our instinctual sense of fear slightly.
Sharp, sudden high pitched sounds cause surprise and sometimes, deep fear.
Reverb or spatial audio can help us feel like we are within the space we witness on the screen whether it be a cathedral or cave.
3. Impact on Narration
Motifs or recurring sounds are what help signify story themes. Association of tune will subconsciously guide the audience into awareness.
Diegetic vs. Non-Diegetic sounds: Diegetic, in simple words, are what the character hears in the space. Non Diegetic sounds are what goes on the background for the audience, like the film score.
Why Sound Design is important in Film and TV
Sound, as anticipated, is 50% of overall storytelling. No one really understands it, and is usually undervalued but an absolute necessity.
In Film and TV
It sets the mood: A singular piano note can make a scene romantic or tragic. Even both honestly, as a bittersweet thing.
Builds tension or aids relaxation: Horror movies. Without the sounds to help it, it would lose all impact. No more needed to be said.
It helps establish a place: So think crickets + wind + rustling trees. You get either a forest or rural place, but its night time isn't it?
Characterization: Unique voice textures and or footsteps help subconsciously define a character.
Pacing and Transitions: Audio cues smooth cut outs or helps build momentum. No audio makes the clip jarring.
Think about it this way, as so beautifully put by Walter Murch - "If you close your eyes during a movie, you should still know where you are and what’s happening.”
In Video Games
Reacts to player movement.
Immerses you in the world (dynamic sound).
Tells you what’s nearby or about to happen (proximity sounds).
Simple as that!
Sound Design in Music Production!
In music, sound design is about creating unique sounds and textures from scratch or modifying existing ones.
Synth programming: Crafting instruments using oscillators and waveforms.
Sampling: Taking real-world audio and manipulating it (e.g., turning a door slam into a snare).
FX Processing: Distortion, reverb, delay, etc., to shape the mood of a track.
Genres like EDM, ambient, hyperpop, and experimental music rely heavily on sound design to even define their identity.
But before we end this little post, for my own insatiable curiosity: Here is a speed run of the History of Music.
Prehistoric – Ancient Times:
Humans made music using voice, bones, flutes, and drums.
Used in rituals, storytelling, and bonding.
Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China: early music notated and linked to spirituality.
Classical Eras:
Ancient Greece/Rome: Philosophers like Pythagoras linked music to mathematics (ratios = harmonies).
Medieval (500–1400 AD): Gregorian chant, religious music dominated.
Renaissance (1400–1600): Harmony, instruments evolved. Music gets printed!
Baroque (1600–1750): Drama, ornamentation (Bach, Vivaldi).
Classical (1750–1820): Balance, clarity (Mozart, Beethoven).
Romantic (1800s): Emotion, storytelling through music (Tchaikovsky, Chopin).
20th Century Explosion:
Jazz & Blues (1900s): African-American origins, improvisation.
Electronic Music (1950s–present): Synths, loops, DAWs (Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin).
Pop/Rock/Hip-Hop: Cultural revolution, protest, identity.
Film Scores: Rise of the composer (John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Hildur Guðnadóttir)
Today:
Music is digital, global, and genre-fluid.
Everyone is a sound designer now—thanks to DAWs like FL Studio, Ableton, Logic, and even Audacity.
That's it for now!
Thanks for reading!
#music#sound design#Lord Music is going to take over my whole life at this point#Is this a new way of facing our fears people? Probably

personal ranking of "desire: unleash" by enhypen
Helium (uptempo song with lots of enhypen-isms with a soft 80s rock influence. i love the arrangement and the bridge breaks up the rhythm for a moment. a complete standout on the ep. if you enjoy 5sos you'll enjoy this song.)
Too Close (a simple production with beautiful piano that exists to highlight and showcase the vocals of the boys. in a sense, it feels like the more earnest version of Loose.)
Bad Desire (With or Without You) (cinematic, bombastic production for the title track, which is very appreciated. it's the most enhypen track on the ep that fits into their previous music and lore. but i think it misses the earnest passion of a song like Brought The Heat Back, which is also about overwhelming/overpowering feelings.)
Loose (I enjoy the Korean version of Loose, but I think it's hard not to hear how 'westernised' the production of the song is considering its simplicity. i think the song makes more sense in english for that reason. but the length and the session music makes it really enjoyable)
Outside (don't make kpop boys do the gangsta rap genre. i beg.)
Flashover (what happened to a beautiful intro to every enhypen EP. what did we do to deserve a 2010s edm track made for a DJ set of a random festival.)
Overall, it definitely feels like this new era of enhypen (starting with romance:untold) caters more towards a western audience and has let go of the dramatic storytelling of previous albums. But i can also imagine these songs are more of the taste of the members, as these are simpler and mature.
