Immortal Calypso, here to entertain~

Shes like a gyaru, chameleon nymph. I added some hair to her arms and legs cause why not. And the second image is her hair and eyes based on some tropical flowers.

She's so beautiful and so sickeningly sweet that you forget she's crazy until she until you talk with her. She doesn't force herself on Ody, cause she doesn't think that's very romantic. But she does force affection and touch especially as night, she doesn't really care if she suffocates him she just wants to use him as her teddy bear. Ody would only actually sleep in the same bed as her instead of anywhere else maybe after year 2 or 3 because she keeps using her powers to make herself invisible to sneak into his arms at night outside anyway.

She doesnt love ody, she is obsessed because he is literally the only person other than the voices. She doesnt respect him she wants him to be obsessed with her as well, so she's a yandere. But the best she gets is a broken man who's given up trying to refuse.

"I don't think you seem to get it." Ctimene smiles from where she stands, leaning against a tree at the corner of the clearing, "I will take back my husband." She turns to meet Calypso's eyes, "And I will take back my brother."

Calypso pauses whatever she was about to do, one hand on Odysseus' shoulder. They both look extremely confused about where this woman dressed in armour and carrying a huge axe came from.

"My ship is docked down at the beach." Ctimene informs them, "I will be returning every man, and every one of my friends to Ithaca."

"And why would they go with you?" Calypso snarls, "I'm a goddess! I've got all they could want here, all they could need here!" She pauses, a cruel smile playing across her face, "Besides! We're all stuck in Paradise, no one can come nor go, my island stays unknown!"

"About that." Ctimene laughs, picking her axe up, "It's not unknown to the creatures of the ocean. Like our mutual friend, Epolenep! Or Polites and Telemachus." She shrugs.

Ctimene can vaguely see the way Odysseus' gaze darkens at Telemachus' name.

"Oh, You're adorable." Calypso coos, "Can't you see? You sealed your fate just to beat me! You trapped yourself and your crew when you arrived here in Paradise, blocked your one way home, and now you'll never get back!" She laughs slightly, though Ctimene can also see the way the goddess' confidence is draining the longer she stands there unwaveringly.

"You're going to let them go." Ctimene says calmly, "And you're gonna apologize and do everything you can to make up for the suffering you've put my brother through all these years."

"Or what?" Calypso challenges, "Last I checked, goddesses can't die. You can't kill me."

"Exactly." Ctimene steps forward, lifting her axe.

I actually like how Epic did Calypso.

It did not shy away from her dangerous/forceful nature in the previous saga and in this one she's just deeply non-sympathetic while compelling. Her vocals are overpowering Odysseus, she's overtaking the narrative. She shouldn't be but she is, and it fits her mythical character.

Not Sorry for Loving You is such a backwards "apology" and I love it because it fits Calypso perfectly. It's weird to say but I'm actually glad they didn't shy away from correctly portraying a character that never "learned to be better" in the original source.

Like, this is a Goddess, not a human. She does not have human morality, she is wrong for what she did to Odysseus. Her emotions are selfish, she's incapable of understanding that she hurt this mortal. She's convinced she's the one hurt and the world is unfair, and that's unreliable narration but it's so good.

Y'all don't think this man has game?? Even if he is cringey and goofy and lovesick in the beginning of their courtship, he definitely eventually learns how to woo and flirt and tease Penelope. They have a CHILD together, Telemachus exists because Penelope LOVES Odysseus and his wooing. He does not need "help" after getting hitched to Penelope. He may have been using some of the very words that brought Telemachus into the world 20 years earlier.

The man is smart as fuck AND has married the coolest woman ever, he definitely did not need to "learn" how to flirt from Circe. Penelope is getting loved and wooed because of all the sappy stuff Odysseus pours for her from his own damn heart that's been beating for Penelope the whole entire time he's known her. He doesn't need to LEARN.
