Okuu looked adorable, Jill thought, in her nice and insulated winter clothing and her big mittens. Even more so because it wasn’t to keep Okuu warm, but to keep the snowball she held cold.
“Okay... hold that pose,” Jill said, right before Okuu launched a snowball, “I wanna take a pic.”
She pulled out her phone and temporarily took off one mitten so that she could tap the screen, lined up the shot, aaaand...
Snap.

Mezzi carefully rested her bowl of soup atop Ammu’s head, as she sat on Ammu’s shoulders who had a bowl of soup of her own. The bowl was atop the band of Ammu’s earmuffs, so it wasn’t burning her head or anything. And Mezzi was very careful not to spill as Ammu walked.
“Gotta say... I feel like we should just go back to the soup pot for every meal. This is really good.”
“And free.”

“So, correct me if I’m wrong...” she said, poking Varisella’s leg with her tail. Her new succubus tail, that she earned by doing nothing at all and just being forced into Varisella’s body.
“...but this didn’t happen last time, right? Like, I don’t remember having to stay in your body for this long before being swapped back. Or for any amount of time, actually.”
“Not that I mind it, really... but I do miss my tail.”
Vari’s was so... so small and light. She wasn’t used to the lack of weight behind her.

* Proxy. (5/5)
No clue how much time had passed, but rest assured it must have been a while.
Needless to say, he had no evidence that any of this is true, of course — it did seem ridiculous, and if you consider the state of things, one really got to wonder about the Notebooks' credibility. Then again, he'd be surprised if the explanation wouldn't be absurd, and besides a suspicious one is still more than the Notification gave him, merely telling him to sit still and wait.
With scribbled and ripped out parts, Clive, unfortunately, couldn't find out much about who wrote it, but it seemed like they were in a similar situation as him when they started this Notebook, written when they've arrived. Well, at the very least before they lost their mind, apparently; the last part of these Notes sure is concerning. Where even are they now? Maybe they managed to escape after all. Regardless, even if it took quite the while, he pretty much got the gist now. The Notebook had plenty of things, like interviewed citizens, maps, a bunch of theories, observations — he didn't read all of it, of course, but the post-its had summaries. Yet, it's still not enough to know what will happen or how he can escape, the Notebook putting it in words as "At the whim of the Stars"—still, much more than he could have figured out by himself.
One thing was ... wrong, though. It clearly states that new citizens appear by the endless(?) hole, yet Clive woke up here instead. Plus, getting a Notification like that is apparently something that only happens during 'ev— Oh, oh — might he be in the middle of such an event, then? It'd explain a bunch of things. After all, the Book mentions a previous happening called "Empatheorem" where people had their bodies swapped — who's to say this isn't a similar matter, yet rather locations? If so, the person who owns this house would be the one by the pit now, while he is here. Or would be gone entirely, considering people leave during the Eclipse. Regardless, it's best to ask around; mayhaps, it'll shed some light.

Taking the Notebook with him just for Reference, he'd return to the Bedroom, probing more to find a briefcase; it had a bunch of useful things in it, including barely-used Notebooks, which he'd figure will help plenty. Well, it's not his, so it might be a stupid idea to do anything remotely with it — but, he already ruined so much in this residence, a Briefcase more really won't worsen matters.
Light came from the Balcony, it was morning — he was ready to leave, but with a yawn, evidently, his body protested. He didn't sleep this night, neither the night before, so it was only understandable. Best to catch some shuteye, that is if his mind will be able to put it a rest. Hopefully, his friends were alright.
#words from the reporter [IC]#losing everything as time runs out [drabble]#isola event: proxy#there we go!! he's handling it pretty well#even if he's still on the false belief that this is the first day he's here....

Okay, Jill was a bit tipsy, but she didn’t think she was tipsy enough to blink and suddenly see herself as the animate pink slime she saw crossing the street a bit ago. She blinked again. No, still the slime. And it felt very, very real, so it wasn’t a dream.
She even tried pinching herself to find out, realizing immediately after her slime hand got to her slime arm how fucking stupid an idea that was, get it together Jill.
So she did a complete 360 to head in the opposite direction of wherever this slime had been headed, to start going to her apartment which is where she was headed. The slime girl must be in her body, right?
Right. She caught up to her after not too long, it wasn’t that long ago they crossed paths. “Hey!”
Oh, that’s not her voice. That felt weird to hear. But they’ll recognize their own voice, she figured, so...
“Hey! You! Me!” she yelled again, waving her arm to get her own attention.
