I post long ramblings about LOM about the thought put into its narrative and characters, some fanart sometimes, and silly little things I found charming or funny.

This post? It's the last type of post. It's just me purely poking fun at Escad's whole outfit LOL

It's harder to tell with the official in-game art because Escad is posed in a way that hides his upper body a bit (but does show off mid-thigh length shorts which is. quite the outfit choice.)

Buuut the HD version DOES show Escad's character sheet, presumably for the animated opening (and which I think is drawn by HACCAN)

So...we got: crop top laced in front, the aforementioned shorts, and shoulder guards, wrist guards, boots and a striped beach blanket all in white and purple.

I guess Escad's whole look is kind of a "classic JRPG hero/barbarian hero" thing with the long hair and clothes showing off the body...I think I see the vision, but idk, I find it hilarious.

Green, white and purple is usually a nice combination that goes together, and HACCAN's work with highly saturated colors is very beautiful...but the waist cloth (?) ended up looking like a beach blanket...I can't unsee it...it's more toned down in Kameoka's art so it doesn't look as clownish, but it's still a ??? in terms of outfit looks.

And I know it's probably hypocritical of me to laugh at Escad's outfit design when I'm very affectionate towards Male Hero/Shiloh's own mishmash clothing. They actually do have similar silhouettes, with the torso being bared by the outfits and their clothes flaring to the sides at the bottoms, but idk, I think Shiloh's outfit works in a way Escad's doesn't. (it does make me wonder if this is a deliberate mirror detail, since Escad has a fixation on the idea of being a hero, while Shiloh/Serafina just do their own thing and still up being heroes in most of the quests.)

Admittedly, all this is my thoughts, and I do apologize to Escad fans if I'm being mean. And I am in no way hating on any of the artists' works, I love Kameoka, HACCAN and Nao Ikeda's works on this game.

In terms of character designs whose outfits I do love, it's easily the Jumi bunch, none of them miss!

That is how my skills are best used."

ESÇAD Tiyatro Ekibi’nden 2025’in ilk gösterisi

Eskişehir Sağlık Çalışanları Derneği (ESÇAD) Tiyatro Ekibi, 2025’in ilk salon gösterisini gerçekleştirdi. Eğlenceli skeçler ve müzikle dolu etkinlik büyük beğeni toplarken, derneğin “Sağlıkçı Ormanı” projesi de tanıtıldı.

ESKİŞEHİR (İGFA) – Eskişehir Sağlık Çalışanları Derneği (ESÇAD) Tiyatro Ekibi, 2025 yılının ilk salon gösterisiyle izleyicilere unutulmaz bir akşam yaşattı.

Sanat ve sosyal sorumluluğu birleştiren etkinlik, hem eğlendirdi hem de derneğin toplumsal projelerine dikkat çekti.

Gösteri, solistler Semih ve Yusuf’un canlı müzik performanslarıyla başladı. İzleyicilerden tam not alan müzik şöleninin ardından sahneye çıkan tiyatro ekibi, “Bıcırıklar İlköğretim Okulu” ve “Birinci Rapunzel” adlı skeçleriyle salonu kahkahaya boğdu. Eğlenceli ve düşündürücü performanslar, izleyenlere keyifli bir tiyatro deneyimi sundu.

“SAĞLIKÇI ORMANI” PROJESİ TANITILDI

Etkinlik sonrası konuşan ESÇAD Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Abdullah Aydın, derneğin sosyal sorumluluk projelerine vurgu yaptı. Geçtiğimiz yıl oyunlardan ve sponsorluklardan elde edilen gelirin, Tip 1 diyabetli çocuklara ve üniversite öğrencilerine burs olarak ulaştırıldığını belirten Aydın, 2025’te Eskişehir’de bir “Sağlıkçı Ormanı” kurmayı hedeflediklerini duyurdu. Aydın, dernek üyeleri ve tiyatro ekibinin gönüllülük esasıyla çalıştığını, yönetim kurulunun desteğiyle bu projeleri sürdüreceklerini ifade etti. Katılımcılara teşekkür eden Aydın, dayanışmanın önemine dikkat çekti.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire was witnessed by 100s of people, who saw women and girls jumping from the 9th floor to escade the flames - to die less painfully. The newspapers covered it. Public opinion changed dramatically in favor of unions and workers rights.

Public opinion - and engagement - matters.

I don't see people talking about this so today is the 110th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, in where the factory owners locked working women and girls inside to "eliminate the risk of theft" (in reality it was too keep them from taking breaks), which resulted in the gruesome deaths of 123 mostly immigrant women and girls and 23 men, many of whom jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor either in a panicked attempt to escape or in order to die quickly. There were reports that some of the workers were on fire already as they jumped.

The eighth floor of the building was able to telephone the tenth floor to warn them about the fire, but the factory on the ninth floor where these women and girls labored had no such communication and such warning.

The factory owners were criminally charged with manslaughter for actions that contributed to the mass deaths but acquitted. However, this tragedy led to mass sympathy to the labor movement, and unions spurred on safety regulations that passed in New York state and eventually the entire country, and activists were able to reduce child labor in the process.

This tragedy is a reminder that has been forgotten in the 110 years since: every safety regulation-- every scrap of paperwork contributing to the hundreds of pages of red tape people like to complain about--every word of it was written in the blood of a laborer.

Some couples I like

Here is how you read the list… If a couple has a (s) after it, that means it's directly stated in the game/show that they're a couple, and I feel funny breaking them up, even if I wasn't too keen on it. I am going to rate them individually with the (s) before the number so you can see how keen I am on the pairing. If a couple has a (1) after it, it's a first rate couple. Meaning, they are favorites of mine, and I tend not to read fics if they get split up, unless I was unaware (no one marked it), or someone recommended the story (the only exception is if the broken pairing(s) is/are reworked as 1 or more (3) pairings). But if a (1) or (s) couple has the word FANATIC after it, that means I'm a rabid fan for it. I tend to leave a fic that I've started if I don't find them together, unless the romance started so late that the plot has got me intrigued. If a couple has a (2) after it, it's a second-rate couple. Meaning, I like them, but I'm not fanatical about them. I couldn't care less if the story I'm reading splits them up. I can even have a character appear twice in a second-rate couple list. Finally, a (3) is one I don't really like, but don't hate, either.

Another encounter in Niccolo's Quest Unusual - our favorite cat lady, Daena!...in a small interaction that hints at the bigger storyline of her character.

Unfortunately, it seems like I don't have complete screenshots of this encounter. I think she mentions that she wants to meet Gaeus but wasn't sure if she had the courage to do so - all very serious until Niccolo butts in.

Daena quite understandably shuts him down lol.

I think this is pretty much the only hint about activating "The Wisdom of Gaeus" quest, but even then it's rather obscure, because Daena does not hint at all she's at the Domina inn, which is where you need to talk to her to trigger that quest.

It was a hot summer in Escade, school just ended and you and I, not to mention the whole class actually were on the edge of our seats just waiting for the day school finally ends, I didn’t really mind or…pay attention for that matter, I was mostly looking out the window, there was a bird nest full of eggs and the mom bird was just asleep on them, it was cute.

“Psst, hey…hey! Mia!…hey!” You called out to me, for someone who was known to be a bit loud back then, you were surprisingly quiet when you tried getting my attention, or I wasn’t listening, [“hey!”] anyway I looked at you with a confused look, I honestly wasn’t sure what you were going to tell me but I was interested…plus you never really tried getting my attention so it was a bit of a surprise.

“Hm?” was all I could say before looking at you, you seemed really confident, and even had your goofy smirk as you looked at me. “Hey Mia, I’m betting my summer allowance that you’ll have a sucky summer!” you gave your usual banter, it was honestly endearing at this point. But I had to talk some smack back to your bratty noggin. [hmmm] what?! We did that a lot in the past! “Hmmm? is that a be~~~t?” I slyly asked with a smirk [you and your…warkin smirk of yours…it’s always bad news when you smirked], not my fault you always lost, now is it? Anyway, it was funny that you gulped with nervousness as I looked at you. It was nice to see you try to act tough though. “Y-yeah! It is,” you talked as if you won an achievement “we try to have as much fun this summer, whoever has the best stories to tell when we meet again gets to make the other person do whatever they want next summer” I could only smirk, no way was I planning to lose, so with determination, I spoke “deal!”

“Now hold on” Ivan stopped Mia’s story, he looked at her with shock as he thought he saw pettiness in her eyes. A playful sort but still pettiness all the same.

“Are you…” his question was soon answered as her iconic smirk came to view…the gall. “Mia, that was years ago, do you seriously want to?”  He felt himself grow annoyed.

Mia could only give a giggle before replying “I’m kidding, I’m kidding!” she cheeky grinned at his question before erupting in playful laughter as Ivan looked more infuriated “I’m Kidding, I’m kidding!” she kept chuckling before finally finding all of her was now out of her system “I know it’s been years, I’m not that petty so don’t worry” she tried to reassure but bared no fruit. Ivan simply looked at her with mild mistrust before speaking “okay…”

Now. where was I? [the deal?] thank you. Now, the class was almost over and we shook our hands to seal the bet we had made that summer. You and I were determined to win. Then the bell rang. 

“See you next year Ivan!” I screamed out. I didn’t waste time leaving the classroom, plus I had everything packed before the bell rang so it wasn’t that hard. “Remember our bet!” I heard you yell out, though I’m pretty sure both of us would forget about it and just enjoy our summer like last year [you’re not wrong about that].

As the sun set, I got home. Escade wasn’t a big city. At least compared to other wall cities, being only roughly 500 square kilometers? Something similar to it. Though I have heard it was one of the few highly industrialized cities in the restless isles [densely populated too…] that is true. Another rumor I’ve heard is that the architecture was similar to the new world that our world fused with. 

Home was nice. It smelled of flowers, leaves, and hot water…though I guess it’s normal for a tea shop. The shop itself was mostly quiet.  we don’t get customers often, especially being near the west side of the wall [at least the school was near it] yeah, but it gained a lot thanks to the quality of the tea, so that was enough to keep everyone fed and happy.

“Ah, Welcome back Mia!” “Welcome back Mia, how was school?” I heard a voice call from the customer’s room, looking to it was Dad and Maria [...] what?! Even if she practically raised me I still saw her as more an older sister than a mother.

[I guess that's just something about being adopted I guess] …. [...sorry] you better be. Anyway, it was nice to see them, I honestly felt as if I didn’t see them in months and just bolted to them. “Hey Dad, he Big sis! School was great!” I yelled out, I was practically jumping with joy.

Both of them smiled “how about you tell us at dinner?” Dad suggested, he seemed pretty fond of what I was going to tell. 

After dinner, I was pooped! The only thing I wanted to do was just go to bed, but before I did I saw an old photo of my dad and my uncle when they were kids. The part of the photo where my uncle’s head was burnt off and when I asked dad about it he seemed to either change the topic or dismiss it altogether.

Regardless, I looked at it for a while, it became a habit at that point before I went to my room. Whilst I cuddled in my sheets, I had a lot of Ideas of what I wanted to do Tomorrow and as I fell asleep, I couldn’t wait for what adventures tomorrow had.
