Ex CEO of #Bankrupt #Crypto Lender #Celsius Withdrew $10M weeks prior freezing customers accounts. The company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in mid July 2022 and Mashinsky resigned as CEO on September 27. At the time, Crypto market was in a crash because of collapse of the Terra Luna, where $60 Billion were wiped out that month. I remember watching Tom in Beijing, I celebrated with him in London and cried with him in Rio and now he's making me cry again but because he's got gold.

And for Matty to have that pressure of being Tom's partner, to go out in his first Olympics and doing that.

I can't actually describe it... I'm just so happy for them, they absolutely smashed that competition today. Just so proud.

Anyway, I wanna say that while there are situations where asking a stranger if they want you to pray with them for a condition can be okay (namely at church or other religious organized event wherein you can be fairly certain the strangers around share your faith) most situations find it invasive and unnecessary. And? Often times pitying or demeaning.

Like you don't know what that stranger's medical condition is, you don't know their faith, and more importantly you don't know their history. Religious trauma is a very real thing and very common. Walking up to the visibly disabled stranger outside of walmart waiting for their ride and asking if they would like you to pray for them is entirely uncalled for and unnecessary.

#personal;#I don't even know WHY I have religious trauma kdkfhskdhflsk #All I know is the woman asked that and fight or flight kicked in and flight sure as fuck couldn't happen and I sure as HELL wasn't fawning #much less freezing #and I almost decked the woman #but it also felt so pitying #like sure I'd love to not be in pain all the time #but you don't even know me! you don't even know why I'm wearing braces!#feels ENTIRELY like a token effort #esp bc not 10m before a different woman assumed 1) that my braces were bc knee surgery and 2) that's an okay thing to ask a stranger about #most days are fine!#most days no one bothers me!#but man today these two people bothered me about it in the exact wrong ways #and I still wanna scream
