AU where Eddie graduates, moves out to California, and spends the next five years of his life trying to make it big.

He never really does.

He’s got the band and plays shows to actual crowds, but he’s never next struggling with money.

So one day when all the buzz on the music scene is about this new mysterious singer in a mask, Eddie makes a plan.

No one knows the guy’s real name. No one know what he looks like. He’s never been seen out of the mask, but Eddie bets that tabloids would pay big money for a picture of this guy’s face.

He gets himself a job in security at the venue this mystery man is playing next. He positions himself in the right place at the right time (hidden in a closet in the dressing room) to see that it’s - “Steve fucking Harrington???”

#Now Eddie could still take the picture #he has the camera in his hands but he could also play his cards right and…#Eddie: need a guitarist?#Steve has a great voice and the worst stage fright you’ve ever seen #the mask is actually the only way he can get on stage #he wasn’t expecting to blow up like this but well…he doesn’t have anything else going on so…#actually really funny if he pulls a Joe Keery and just puts a silent letter in front of his actual name #steve harrington #eddie munson
