Fun fact:

Ghost did not like Emmrich at the beginning. He would cockblock Emmrich at any given moment, slapping down his bone near Emmrich’s foot whenever he stepped too close to Lenore. Ghost warmed up when Emmrich fixed his favourite bone stick after a particularly bad run in with the Venatori.

Hans knew Emmrich before Lenore did as Hans loved to fly around the Necropolis playing tricks on other Watchers. Emmrich used to bribe Hans with sugar cubes.

Ok, so, started playing DoL and after maxxing out most of the stats (physique, athletics, swimming, and getting a good amount of willpower), I went down the smuggler cave at rocks. So, I got caught. Got gangbanged. Ended up blindfolded, gangbanged again, beat em up this time tho. Then the whistle from a man.

"Huh, this man's vibe seems familiar to another character. Probably doesn't mean anything, but hol up, lemme check", I think. Go to orphanage, gameplay settings, go change Wren's gender to female. Now go back to cave and the whole thing all over again (RIP my PC, the stress level was almost enough to have him pass out).

I'm literally shaking all of you Wren enjoyers in the shoulders because I have never met this character outside that one meeting in the forest when the expedition-thingy was set up and how do I meet them more frequently please help they sounds like a fucking treat--

CO:E33 rambles and notes bc i am in shambles rn

ok so i just finished playing clair obscur : expedition 33 and i have so much shit to say abt it or i will explode

Obvious spoilers obviously.

First off, this game is a fucking masterpiece. I know everyones said it like 15 times but holy shit, the art direction, the writing, the dialogue, the gameplay, the level design, the ost (how tf is this lorien testard's first ost jfc), the voice acting (both english and french, i played in french due to being french and listened to the english vas through yt playthroughs), theres not a single discordant note for me in this, it genuinely is that fucking good.

Speaking of the ost, listening to the lyrics while playing and understanding them is truly an experience. i caught most of the juicy shit after the fact but sometimes id hear sth and be like "oh shit that sounds like its important". i have a bunch of favorite bits and im just gonna dump them here bc i need to spew them out.

-> Gustave and Gustave Eiffel : Ok so pretty early on i was already listening to Lumière and Departure non-stop but post act 1 the lyrics kinda started slotting into place. Eiffel (first name gustave), is referenced a bunch of times in the ost, and while at first i was like "ok french game is french", now im pretty sure theyre referencing Gustave (Parisian engineers from the belle époque who share the same name hmmm). Theres a lot of lines that really just work for this, like Departure's "Clair Obscur ôtera, brisera Eiffel" (Clair obscur will remove, break Eiffel) that seem to foreshadow gustave's untimely demise at the end of act 1. I thought it was really neat.

->Dualliste ok so this is a fairly small one but the song starts with and repeats several times "Renoir ôta, Renoir brisa" (Renoir removed, Renoir broke) in a fairly somber, almost angry tone. To me this feels like a callback to the part mentioned above, with the thing being removed/broken being gustave, in which case this reads like a call for vengeance and action, a reflection of the expedition's mental state in which they (mostly maelle tbh) are pushed forward mostly by this grief, this emptiness being turned into cold hatred and anger at the one responsible for it. That was also neat.

->Our drafts collide i just noticed this one while going back to listen to the ost, at first the title didnt really jump out that much, it just sounded cool but nothing special yk. then, i realized "oh shit the first fight theme is 'Our drafts unite', thats sick as fuck actually". Then i got to the spoken french section and Lorien hits me with "Nos desseins se confrontent" and i deadass did the surprised pikachu face. For the non-francophones in the audience, desseins, meaning intentions, plans, the will to do sth, etc., is a homophone of dessin, meaning sketch, draft. The french lyric the titles are based on is a massive double entendre of "Our drafts collide/unite"(literal, as in these people are fighting in a painting with chroma and gradients and such) and "Our wills collide/unite". That is so fucking cool. ->Lumière s'éteint ok so that whole poem is fire as fuck and you definitely should find a translation if you dont spek french bc its just really good, but the part that rewired my brain chemistry was "Si nos pulsations jouent à contretemps/Notre amour veillera sur la mesure". The translation is "If our pulses play off-beat/Our love will see to the measure". That is so fucking romantic holy shit. Its also sung in Une vie à t'aimer, but the second verse is replaced by "mon amour veille, attend" (my love watches, waits) which didnt strike me as much. That song is still a massive banger though.

-> Déchire la toile ok so this one has A Lot. Its downright spoilery if youre smart enough to connect the dots (which i was not). Im gonna translate whole entire sections bc this is just textual spoilers in the lyrics.

"[...]Renoir aida / Mais toujours son fils perdra [...] Verso va déchiré canva / Maelle tristesse dura / Amour vivra / Alicia va déchiré canvas / Renoir pleura / Verso dané / Alina enferma"

ok so in order we have "Renoir helped(?) / but always his son will lose" (aida reads like the conjugation of aider, to help, but is pronounced drastically differently), "Verso will tear the canvas" (should be déchirer grammatically, idk the meaning behind that) "Maelle ['s] sadness will last", "Love will live", "Alicia will tear the canvas", "Renoir wept", "Verso damned" (admittedly this one is complete guessworke but dané sounds remarkably like damné so im putting it in), and "Alina locked up" (as in she locked sth up, not shes locked up, that would be enfermée). I'll leave you to interpret the nitty gritty but i just thought it was wild how they just drop this on you beginning of act I like holy shit.

Thats most of the neat little details in the ost. Since ive given some bits of translation already, here are some more that i havent seen mentioned anywhere yet :

Theres also a fuckton of jokes and references that dont really work in english so heres a couple ive seen :

-The "à on" achievement for beating the serpenphare is a reference to the "Astérix et Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre" movie, pretty much a cult classic imo, in which the pun "Le phare à on" (sounding like pharaon -> pharaoh, meaning the lighthouse of us) is the crux of a whole gag (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdWZhAAf6gA)

-Two kid gestrals have a conversation which is almost word for word a copy of a badly dubbed scene from Hitman the Cobra which became a french meme a while back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qznbecUX3Fc). The reference is almost unrecognisable in english unfortunately.

Theres most likely a lot i missed, and theres a lot more i have to say but this post is already long enough as is so ill just reblog/make new posts if i want to say more.

This dude really wakes up every morning, slicks back his anime villain hair, stares into a cracked mirror, and whispers, “I love humans…” before gaslighting five people, emotionally crippling two teenagers, and causing at least one city-wide incident just because he was bored.

He’s like if Loki and a Reddit troll had a child raised entirely on psychological thrillers and caffeine pills. A self-proclaimed "observer of humanity"—translation: man who ruins lives for clout, then tweets about it from a flip phone. He thinks he’s ten steps ahead of everyone, but half the time he’s just monologuing in an alley while Shizuo is three blocks away practicing discus throws with traffic signs.

And let’s not ignore the fact that Izaya dresses like he cosplays himself. Fur-trimmed hoodie? In Tokyo summer? Bro, are you scheming or leading a winter expedition?

He talks about love like he’s studied every philosophical book in existence—but let a girl like Namie talk for two minutes and he’s suddenly ghosting harder than an ex with commitment issues. Dude wants to be the chessmaster of Ikebukuro, but every time someone flips the board (read: punches him), he scurries off like a smug anime roach.

Izaya: “I love humans.”

"What Goes Around Comes Around."

I am so so sorry. I truly thought I had uploaded this piece but it was a draft. Then found the finished version was corrupted so had to work off my last saved draft. Haven't a Pokémon fic properly before for Goh and Chloe. So consider this my first published fic!! (Turns out I had really rough drafts for a Sword and Shield based story. So guess what I'm working onnnnn!!😍😍)

This was requested by the awesome @grammarrrrrr, who was kind enough to do a fic for me, "Healing Curses and Trauma." and was kind enough to let me try one (1) for him!!

What Goes Around Comes Around.

The day had started off so well. Chloe and the boys had reunited after the Champions Battle and Mew Expedition respectively with their dreams and goals near enough fulfilled. Ash becoming a Champion after his victory over Leon and Goh finally encountering Mew once more, even getting to "hold it on the palm of his hand!"

To celebrate the occasion, the trio and their Pokémon decided that a camp out was the best way to do so. But it was so Chloe could get Goh to admit to Ash that it may be time to go their separate ways now. Goh has learned all he could with Ash, forever grateful for being able to grow into the researcher he always wanted to be and meeting Mew.

But the young girl could see that he couldn't shake off that feeling of potential betrayal to his friends if he ever did so. After an eventful travel to their campsite, enjoying the berries the Poliwag had given them in thanks for saving it from an angry swarm of Spearows, they began reminiscing about their time together as Research Fellows.

Throughout the trip, Chloe had quietly urged Goh to admit to Ash that now was the time to honestly tell the New Champion about his feelings about separating for his own journey, loosening ties to allow himself to be less dependant on his friends. But just when she thought he could do it, he chickens out. It was then she could have kicked herself when Ash casually announced that he was beginning his new journey with just Pikachu.

She saw how Goh couldn't hold it back anymore, tearily asking when Ash had planned to tell him this or if the year they spent together meant anything to Ash. She couldn't blame Ash, the boy was used to saying "See ya when we see ya" to his former travelling companions, having great pleasure in meeting them herself. But she couldn't help the pang of sadness in seeing her life long friend be upset at this new revelation.

Goh couldn't hold back anymore, declaring that since Ash didn't care about it, then their friendship was over and to never talk to him again as he ran off into the woods, his Striker Pokémon, equally as shocked as she was, followed suit.

"Goh wait!!" Ash called out after him, shock has yet to set in for him at what just happened. "What was that all about?"

It was then that Chloe gave the sternest of looks she could muster to the newly appointed World Pokémon Champion. He didn't realise what his words did to harm their friend.

At the same time, she knew Goh was quite secretive about his past and how he had a hard time admitting that making friends was never easy for him.

It took them this trip to the campsite alone to talk about the Abra that would randomly teleport into his family apartment years ago, after witnessing one (1) getting berries from a tree.

With a deep breath, she finally says,

"You were his very first friend, Ash. I don't think you understand how much that meant to him."

Ash, despite being airheaded, really did seem genuinely confused. She supposes that, as someone who always had travel companions and hardships since literally starting his journey, he can easily forget that that it was a difficult task for Goh and even herself to even start their journeys. But all the same, Ash's big heart for people and Pokémon alike has proven that at the end of the day, they all are just people wanting to reach their dreams. Ash took that hard step in sticking with his Pikachu, and the rewards for it has been substantial. And many links were connected thanks to Ash introducing them all at some point or another. So she decided to do something she wouldn't have dreamt on doing before.

"Ash, I understand how things may have been difficult for you when your journey began, but I want you to understand why this is also the case for Goh. If not, even more difficult. It's not my story to tell from his point of view. But if you care for him, then please listen to what I have seen myself."

Ash and Pikachu shared a concerned look between each other before facing her again, now with a determination shining in their eyes.

"Ok. I don't know what Goh had been through, but I want to be able to help him. I can't help him if I don't know how he came to this conclusion. So please, help me understand."

"Pika!"

With that, Chloe took a deep breath and began to tell her side of the story.

*FLASHBACK.*

If Chloe had a dime for every time Goh say "The future is at the palm of my hands!", she is certain that she would have a mansion for herself long before now.

Though that was also something she admire about him as well. But that was also when she seen how much of an outcast he had become. Or maybe it was because they couldn't find a way to understand him, he didn't exactly choose to be one.

A child of a Professor, she understands how people can criticise something they don't understand, even when they are presented with the known and most basic of facts. Her father did many a battle in his field to get to where he is at now.

Goh, despite his young age, already understood plenty. Enough to easily cut off the, thankfully patient, Professor Oak. But why did the other children have to be so cruel when he got praised?

*CURRENT DAY.*

Ash and Chloe were still scavenging around the woods, both they and their Pokémon calling out for their dear friend and hoping to see some sign of him or Cinderace.

"I didn't know it meant so much to him to have me as his friend." Ash says as he looks around the trees. "Those bullies, you said Joshua had a Squirtle back then. I fought him before?"

Chloe grimaces at remembering finding Goh in such a state seeing him again. While he can handle confrontations better now, Chloe understands why there as some people he would much rather avoid.

"He was arrogant, I had my fair share of rivals but he was just a bully. Even after I beat him, he just wouldn't lighten up."

"He still has an ego. And I'm glad that you brought him down a peg or two (2)."

"What did he do to Goh?"

*FLASHBACK.*

"Why don't you just fight back against them, Goh?" Chloe asked as she pulled up the boy from the dirt.

"You're kidding right?" Goh began to protest as he fails to discreetly wipe the tears from his eyes. "I can't fight back someone who is bigger than me! I'm just lucky their Pokémon are in the Daycare Section."

Both bore the heavy expectations to follow in their parents paths in some way but only Goh bore the storm of others doubts and ill intentions. Focusing back to Goh once more, she could see that his injuries are thankfully at a minimal. It was home time now, so she practically pulled him up and towards the main gates.

Chloe just sighed. Unfortunately she had come across another harassment against Goh as it was wrapping up. Even her own friends had urged her to try and stay away less she too got caught in between the opposing sides.

Well, she would say it's opposings sides had Goh actually fought back. In this case it's more like avoiding being caught in the bully's cross hair. She can't even say she recognise this one (1) in particular. It wouldn't surprise her, Belle had been spreading rumours lately, something about how Goh would belittle anyone who doesn't know anything about a Pokémon before playing victim to get them into trouble.

Outrageous lies! Goh, from what Chloe had observed of her longtime friend and fellow classmate for a few months, he's very introverted. Intelligent for sure, being the son of two (2) system engineers and programmers would do that as she too, is a child of a Pokémon Professor and Illustrator.

"W-wha?! Where are we going?!" The dark haired boy exclaims at the sudden pull. "Don't you have to meet your friends after school?"

"Plans change Goh, you should know that!" She smiles back at him, it was a lie she'll need to apologise to her friends for it later, but he didn't need to know that. "They cancelled so I got time. Let's get you home. Your grandma is staying over too, right?"

"Oi, we weren't finished yet, brainiac."

Oh no, Joshua! He was back with his Squirtle. She hears Goh beginning to panic but without a second thought or a single second to look in the bullys direction, she bolts to the main entrance located just around the corner. If they could just get to the door -

"Use Water gun in front of them!"

She didn't see the shot pass their heads, or how it muddied up the grass they were running on. But she did see each blade of grass as she face planks into it, Goh landing on his rear just beside her, not losing grip of his hand.

She stood in front of her friend to shield him from his harasser.

"Out the way Cerise. Don't want the precious little professor to get in the way of his target now, would we?"

"Stop it! Goh didn't even do anything to warrant any of this harassment!" She tried to mimick the best protective growl she could manage. She doesn't know why, but she's tired of seeing her friend hurt.

She was thanking any Legendary God Pokémon she can think of when the teacher rounded the corner and began scolding the bully. It resulted in a week's ban of bringing his Pokémon to the Daycare. He asked Chloe and Goh if their were any more, but Chloe had to reluctantly keep quiet as Goh said no, having met Joshua's raging face.

Goh was clinging to every word the professor was saying about his field of work, eventually asking questions and answering in turn, testing each others knowledge on Pokémon and the likes. She didn't miss how Goh perked up when his computer that his parents built him was brought up and how proud he was when proudly showing off his well organised files on it. Each Pokémon sorted by type, quadpedal or bipedal, typings. She can name it and he would have it.

They couldn't get a hold of Goh's parents, typical, but thankfully Professor Cerise was nearby to pick them up. It was almost pitiful watching her dad help him clean up before offering a ride back home. Goh's Grandmother thankful that her Grandson was safe and sound, having argued with the school before about the brats behaviour towards Goh. She offered the Cerises some of her homemade soup for their trouble.

It was no wonder he was ahead of everyone in school!! She suppose she could come over every now and then to learn more with him.

*CURRENT DAY."

"Now I'm really glad that I dealt with that Joshua. Shame it can't be said about Belle." Ash deflated a bit on that.

"I wouldn't worry about that one (1)." She replies, when Ash looks at her she adds: "Remember when you got me back in touch with Serena after the contest in Lilycove City?"

Ash tried to think back on it, before sheepishly apologising about being late that day. But he was glad to see Serena again and her kindness to help Chloe in the show.

"Ash, it's ok. I had fun doing it. But Belle didn't." She heard Ash say "oh?" And recalls the moment she got to witness karma first hand.

*FLASHBACK."

"And why does SHE get to preform with Serena and I can't?!" Chloe heard a voice practically bawl out on timing with the stomping heels against tiled flooring.

"Competitor Belle please restrain yourself from lashing out." One (1) of the staff tried to calm her down. "Miss Cerise -"

"CERISE?!" Chloe now recognised that shrill voice anywhere now. "The Loser Crybaby Protector?!

"Competitor Belle!" It was Serena's voice that cut through as she came out of the changing room. "That sort of behaviour is not tolerated in Contests."

"But why?! Why the Crybaby Loser Protector." Belle pushed the topic more. "She was the reason I got suspended for no reason!!"

The rumors continues, even now. Chloe was ready to charge in there and confront Belle, but a hand on her shoulder. Turning to find it had been Lisia who had stopped her, a finger against her lips to signal Chloe to be quiet and watch.

"That was your last warning Miss Belle. Malicious behaviour against other competitors have zero (0) tolerance here or anywhere. But I did have the pleasure of speaking to an aquitance of mine who knows of Miss Cerise and Goh." Chloe could feel her chest tighten and her grip around Eevee cause the poor thing to squirm out of her hold and onto her shoulders instead to avoid being crushed. "And it appears that some of yours as well is still continuing this unwarranted behaviour!"

"I know one (1) of the judges here! I will have you kicked out of this contest before you even set foot on that stage!" Belle cockily threatens. "So it's best you have her drop out before you both get kicked to the curb."

"I have already had the pleasure of speaking to the judges already before today's performances. None have confirmed to even heard of you until now."

"I'm sorry Miss Belle," the staff member says, not sorry at all as she removes her hand from her earpiece "But I'm afraid it's now best you leave the premises now, as word of your unruly behaviour have reached the Organisers and Judges and have deemed you unfit for this competition or future competitions."

Chloe's jaw dropped, Lisia smiling just behind her. She turned, unable to form words as she points to Lisia and back to Belle. Lisia just nods and walks off to next on stage. Well, looks like today's competition will be a lot smoother now, whether she won or not at least the competition looks more appealing than ever.

*CURRENT DAY.*

"So that's why Goh was grinning ear to ear on the boat!" Ash exclaimed. He recalled meeting his old friend Serena literally moments before the boat had set sail. "Glad Serena was there to deal with that bully too."

"Yeah. Last I heard, Belle was dragged out and on a 'not allowed to compete' list." Chloe said happily, before turning serious again. "Ash, that's what you have to understand. Goh has learned a lot from you. Even I learned from you."

"Huh? I don't think I really taught you guys anything." Ash scratched the back of his head. "I only know how to help with battling."

"Not only in battles. But in understanding Pokémon and even ourselves." She explained. "Before, I had no interest in Pokémon and Goh was bullied relentless for being the opposite of me. He was so determined to have Mew as his first Pokémon, but then imagine my surprise when he's back with a Scorbunny! Then he really opens up and became less stubborn about learning things the only way he knew how. Became part of the Mew Project and met the real Mew!"

Here she grabs both of Ash's hands in her own to emphasize how she feels.

"Goh would never have come this far if it weren't for you. I wouldn't have met Eevee. We wouldn't have met all your friends and learn the world is full of opportunities and that there isn't a bully out there that we can't stand up to."

"But if that's the case, why did Goh get upset? We helped him with his panic and trauma with those bullies? Even if it's just helping him get through the panic attacks." Ash asked, upset at what he could have done to be a new cause for one (1).

"Because he feels like that would be betraying you. You declaring your new adventure was so easy for you, that Goh felt like his announcement to do the same was meaningless." She turned away from Ash, scanning at the treelines for their missing friends. "He's afraid that both sides may have just betrayed each other."

Ash looks at his partner, the Electric Mouse Pokémon looking back at him with dropped ears with a said "Pika."

"I'll help him understand why he's wrong about that. It's never a "good bye" but it's really saying "I can't wait to see you again and hear all about your adventures" kind of thing." Ash calmly explains as he continues scanning as well. With determination burning within his eyes, he adds, "And I'll be sure to tell him that when we find him. We can't let things end on bad terms and misunderstandings."

Chloe looks at him, studying him. His raised clenched fist held up in front of him, a determined expression and looking ready to physically deal with a problem and his Pikachu's matching pose helped her realise she also needed to hear the same thing from Ash.

Both her and Goh journeyed so far to get to where they are now. A simple misunderstanding will unravel and tarnish the very lessons they had learned thanks to Ash, their families and the friends and Pokémon that were met along the way. The rain began to lighten up, as if the heavy burden were finally lifting off of her shoulders and would come to an end when Goh realises the same thing.

"Then let's find him and tell him just that then." Chloe agrees, Eevee matching her determination just as much as Pikachu has with Ash. "And when we do, it will be just the start of something new. For all of us."

Both trainers stare each other in the eyes, scaling to see if their words bore the same strength as their actions have. Then grinned. They continue to search before Pikachu hears something and urges them to follow. They had come so far in this journey. The words of those bullies has come back to bite them and turn them into the very things they called Goh. So as she stands there with Cinderace, Pikachu and Eevee, watching them clear everything up and the rain ceasing, she knows that what it truly meant to be side by side with friends who truly love you for who you are as you grow along side with them.

The future truly is at the palm of their hands.

any ways back to uzis machine I saw a pikachu and I wonder what is it used for?

also how would N and Uzi meet? would Uzi kick N head off cause it seems like she can kick hard ask her mother.

One last question how would Uzi get around the manner with the monsters i around the place? would she stick some parts on her head and hope they are stupid enough that they would believe it (except N cause he’s probably the only one that she can somewhat trust)

Vague acquaintance? Fandom peer? I can only recall directly interacting once or twice. Still, it is sad to see her go. She's a great artist, I hope she's able to continue drawing in a less stressful environment

So the pikachu. That's mostly there to show that she carries a lot of random trinkets and items on her that she picks up mostly from the garbage. This includes anything that she thinks could be even vaguely useful, and anything that just looks neat or cool. Bits of electronics, screws and bolts, wires, anything weighty enough to chuck at the back of a human's head, and cool discarded anime merch. The younger drones aren't allowed to roam as much as the older ones, so she takes what she can get. I'd imagine Nori and Khan will occasionally bring her things from their own dumpster diving expeditions. Things she'd like but that the colony wouldn't have a use for, like a beat up Pokémon keychain.

N and Uzi first meet after Uzi breaks into the manor through a window. She ends up in the library and is lucky enough to have N find her before V or J. Now, keeping in mind that in this AU they're on Earth, there hasn't been a core melt down, and there's no disassembly drones running around killing people. The only enemy the rogue workers have is humans, and they don't know anything about monster drones with healing factors and a taste for oil. So Uzi doesn't take well to seeing a headless N walking around.

She does have to be careful when moving around the mansion. There's V and J of course, but also the other worker drones that used to serve the Elliots. Those ones are a bit mindless though, they roam around like zombies. I'd say they're a bit like Skyrim enemies. If they notice you, they'll attack. But if you hide in just the right spot for long enough, they'll soon forget that anyone was there. In general, so long as they don't catch sight of her face, and she avoids touching them, they're likely to just move along. Still, it's best to avoid them all together. They're a bit like security cameras. Can't do anything to you directly, but if the wrong person notices you on the other end, well- things could turn bad real quick

HI, NOSTALGIC ^_^ how ‘bout 1, 2, and 4 for the ask game!!

Hiiii Mimi!!! Lets see... 1. Have you played all of the games? Yes... but only partially. While I've completed the main story beats of Rescue Team, Explorers and Super, I have not yet finished GTI (but im currently playing it) nor done the full postgame of Explorers. 2. favorite one of the game youve played? Super Mystery Dungeon! I honestly think its the most "complete" game of the franchise, in terms of the sum of all its parts.

While Explorers will always have a special place in my heart, and I think its story is slightly more engaging, as the years have gone by, I've discovered that I feel that a lot of the secondary cast (and with this I mean the Guild) is very underdeveloped.

They're all very charming characters, but there's something lacking there that I feel the cast of Super does have in comparison.

Like, I personally feel that the school kids and the Expedition Society had a bigger impact on me as I was playing.

Also that twist at the end of Super? Yeah that left me more shocked than the twists in Explorers.

4. what did you name your hero and partner characters? and why? Ok so theres 2 ways I can answer this lol

First one is the names I use for when I first play the games, in which case I always use my name, Andrew, for the Hero character lmao, because well the games do lend themselves to self insertion, heck, Super made use of the camera on the 3DS to add to the immersion of you being transported to the Pokemon World. As for the partners, I always try to think of names that I like and that I feel would fit the characters. (Gonna put the names on the next part because I havent really changed them either)

The second way to answer would be to use the fan teams I've created after playing the games, but with those I dont really have a reasoning behind the names?

As with the names for the partners, I just choose what I feel fits well for the ideas I have in my head about the characters.

But anyways, the names I've used for my fan teams are Rescue Team: Andrew (Hero/Eevee) and Anne (Partner/Torchic) Team Hope

Explorers: Sean (Hero/Shinx) and Lily (Partner/Vulpix) Team Sunrise GTI: Oz (Hero/Oshawott) and Tess (Partner/Pikachu) Super: The Kid (Hero/Fennekin) and Lee (Partner/Riolu) With Super I actually have a headcanon / Story idea, of the hero forgetting their name, and so everyone just calls him "the kid" or "kid", while they think of a name.

Pokemon Horizons Episode 31 Review - The Ploy In The Fog

While this entire episode was primarily buildup to the reveal of the fourth of the Six Hero Pokemon, I did like the mystery building up around the Lapras. A cargo ship thought it was helping them escape a fog, when it reality, it looted their food. The Pokedex entry even mentions how it is a kind-hearted Pokemon. That means it should be a good Pokemon, right?

I really liked the buildup of the reveal of the Lapras. I initially thought it was helping out sailors, until clues about a more sinister motive start floating in like the empty cargo boxes with the same logo as the ones the sailors were hoarding back onto their boat. Once the Ambipom and Toedscruel came and stole the berries, I instantly knew that this was a ploy. It seems that the Hero Pokemon Lapras has been living a life of hardships to the point it created a band of pirates to steal food from ships. My question is: why? I guess it’ll be answered in the next episode. However, it really does make me wonder if it does this out pure malice or out of survival; I’m leaning towards the latter.

Also, seeing the Brave Asagi being used as a ship was amazing; I think it’s been the first instance the boat mode shown ever since it was an older fishing boat. Heck, I think this is also the first instance where Ludlow has more screen time than he usually does! That’s amazing in itself. Other than Ludlow, everyone on the Brave Asagi had their fair share of screen time too. They all helped out with Friede’s plans to find the mystery behind the stolen food by baiting them with food. It was nice to see Captain Pikachu use its Rising Volt Tackle again. 

Although Fuecoco is super adorable, it has been used as comic relief and the butt of some jokes in recent episodes. To see it finally have some relevance in showing the true intent of having people tail Lapras made me happy. Who knew being a glutton could actually be helpful at times? On the topic of Pokemon, the Poltergeist and Sinister from the previous episode makes an appearance in this episode as they give tea to Mollie and Orla. I’m glad that they’re adjusting well to their new life on the ship. I’m actually surprised to see another Ambipom since the last appearance of Dawn’s back in the DP era. This Ambipom is voiced by Nanase Nishino, who plays the main character in the Pokemon-themed live action drama Pack Your Pocket With Adventure. It’s also nice to see a Toedscruel too! It seems that the pirate Pokemon are from all different regions. Though, it does make me wonder where this particular episode takes place. Are they still in Galar? Did they leave Galar?

If you noticed, instead of Friede’s seminar, there’s a small short about Terapagos called The Brilliant Terapagos Expedition where the titular Pokemon does cute things. This segment is focusing on its relationship with Sprigatito. Given that there will be three of these, I’m assuming the last two will be focused on the other two Paldean Starters. I can’t wait to see what their interactions will be like.

I think I’ll end my review here since there isn’t really much more to talk about; it was a very straightforward episode. I’m actually digging the Lapras’s hardened appearance with the scars and damaged shell. What about you? What are your thoughts on Lapras and the episode in general?

VICTOR:

-Listen you can't have Victor without Corbierre and he would 10000% have a corviknight. He loves him to bits, yes he was his first pokemon, yes he found him as a rookidee, and yes he will do anything for him. Also unlike Corbierre Corviknight is alive.

-Zangoose enemy of sevipers

-Roserade he helps Victor with his prized rose bushes

-Polteageist helps with trying to find the recipe for the elixir. They also make an amazing tea.

-Ninetales is said to live 1000 years and is a hint to Victor's attempt of immortality

-Umbreon Robert gave Sarah and Victor each an eevee his evolved into an umbreon

SARAH

-Raichu, pichu was her first pokemon she found him playing in the garden. When Sarah met Nina, she reminded her of when she was a kid with her pikachu.

-Tinkaton the enemy of Corviknights

-Klefki basically the locket of this universe and was given to Nina

-Banette, when her parents died she was very lonely she found a shuppet in her time of need.

-Nidoqueen honestly she's just an icon

-Espeon Robert gave Sarah and Victor each an eevee hers evolved into an Espeon

RUFUS:

-Rufus is the kind of guy where if you can't do your job he will get rid of you. These are his longest staying pokemon he's had many more in the past.

-Seviper his first ever pokemon and the only one he has a "soft spot" for he caught it while playing with Victor and Sarah it lunged for Sarah and he caught it to protect her.

-Golbat note how it's not a crobat he doesn't get the whole evolves with friendship thing.

-Zorark helps with disguises

-Hydragon and houndoom they are the intimidating powerhouse

ROBERT:

-Much like Victor and Sarah, I think him and Victor Sr. Had buddy pokemon his was a Rockruff and his evolved during mid-day. Plus he helps with much of the archeological digging.

-Cofagrigus my gosh Robert do be raiding tombs and he do be raiding the pokemon in those tombs

-Lucario is pokemon anubis, and this is his house, the house of anubis.

-Golurk guess what he found this one Raiding a tomb

-Rabsca it's an anagram for scarb its has a nice Egyptian esthetic also if for sure knows revival blessing.

- Floette more specifically the eternal flower Floette its said to be over 3000 years old and cursed with immortality. Robert kept her safe until he died after that no one has seen her again. Much to Victor Sr dismay, he believes that the secret of immortality was connected to this Floette

VICTOR SR:

-Honchkrow listen beware the black bird and all that but honestly that apple doesn't fall that far from the tree.

-Gengar a haunting presence for a haunting man

-Ariados found it as a spinarak in the cellar he figured with the poison typing he could use it to find a certain Floette.

-Metagross found on an expeditions it once lived as a guardian of a tomb

-Drapion found in the middle of the desert

-Much like Victor and Sarah I think him and Robert, had buddy pokemon his was a Rockruff and his evolved during midnight. Plus he helps with all of the schemes.
