I FEARed MYSELF

I, for one, have been a victim of fearing what I can do. It's not that I don't want to succeed in life, it's just that I'm afraid of the responsibilities that come along with success. In my years of studying, I have come to appreciate mediocrity because an average student would not be asked for speeches and to speak in public. It was my Achilles' heel.

Being a Christian, I know I have nothing to be afraid of. But still, the fear of standing in front and, even more, speaking to a crowd is something I treat with heartquake. So much time was wasted because I'm looking out not for the best but striving to be an average student. But as I have come to this point of nearly graduating, I deeply regret not doing my best. Indeed regrets come at the end and the everyday decisions are the biggest ones you'll face during the course of your lifetime. If I had only done what I was supposed to do using the best that I can give, I could have achieved the goal that my heart was really craving for and maybe my fear of speaking in public would then be removed from my system. If I were given the chance to start over, I would most definitely push myself harder because I know, I still haven't done my best during the time given.

If you are a child of God, the son/daughter of the King of kings, don't you think you have nothing to be dreadful of? The Creator of the heavens and the earth will give you everything you need in life in His own perfect timing and only requiring you to do your purpose and fulfill your responsibilities at the time being. Remember that God does not use the qualified to do His will but He makes the unqualified, qualified. You may think that if God was to choose someone for His works, He will not choose you because you think you are not capable of anything, remember David. He wasn't even part of the army, didn't wear a heavy armor and carry a big sword when he fought Goliath. He didn't have formal training for being a soldier but what he has that no other person there possess is how big his faith is in God. So think twice. There are things that you've yet to learn. And the time will come where you'll look back and see the glory of God work in your life making you ready for His mighty works. Hustle while you wait for your time. Improve your talents and learn as much as you can. : )
