imo the problem with troll furries is not that there furries its bc half the time furry doesnt fit there theme i dont wana see karkat with floppy ears and goat tail bc thats not his thing but id be fine seeing it on gamzee

I guess it's not outside the realm of possibility that a troll could mutate non-troll body parts if it's thematically appropriate. Fiamet's tail is skin-colored and flip-flops about, so it has a higher chance of being real than Nepeta's tail. She seems to be associated with the axolotl dragon, so if this is a mutation, it's one that makes sense.

A lot of people take the Alterniabound sprites to mean Nepeta's tail is real, but it's far more likely to be a cybernetic attachment jacked into her nerves. Mostly because Equius exists and is her moirail. That then raises the possibility that her entire spinal column is a robotic implant. That's probably a very necessary upgrade if your designated shooshpapper is a Zahhak. If there's anything biologically catlike about her, it's most definitely her face. Nepeta would be the top contender for actually having a little kitty nose since the eyes and mouth already line up.

This is all assuming a given individual even believes in animal features on a troll, much less furry ones.
