Freedom Candlemaker welcomes the light into his new record

Lefteris Moumtzis is emotionally sovereign. The Cypriot musician uses the direct English translation of his name as his moniker, which becomes the first evidence of his liberty: Freedom Candlemaker. His new record, though far from his first foray into music, is the debut under this name; called Beaming Light, it represents a dawning in his life that would not have felt right under one of his previous projects.

Léa Nielsen: I was forced to stop dancing quite early on due to injuries. For a while I thought I wanted to stay in the world of theatre and I spend some time trying out costume and stage-design, but realized it wasn’t for me.

...The house (Le Corbusier, Villa Savoye, Paris) was build around 1930 and some of the graphic work I do is inspired by art of that same period. It was on my desk for quite a while before I knew how to approach it.

Οι καυστικές ατάκες της και το φοβερό της στιλ έκαναν το διαδίκτυο να την λατρέψει και να την αποθεώσει. Ήταν η art director του GNTM, η οποία κατάφερε να γίνει η αγαπημένη του κοινού από την πρώτη της κιόλας εμφάνιση στο «Greece’s Next Top Model». Της Έπη Τρίμη Η Ζενεβιέβ Μαζαρί – Mazari (Genevieve Majari) έχει γεννηθεί και έχει μεγαλώσει στην Αθήνα. Το πραγματικό της επίθετο είναι Μάντζαρη.  Η Ζενεβιέβ Μαζαρί έχει γεννηθεί στις 12 Ιουλίου το 1975. Είναι 45 ετών. Η γιορτή της είναι 3 Ιανουαρίου (Οσίας Γενεβιέβης εκ Παρισίων). Η  Ζενεβιέβ Μαζαρί έχει σπουδάσει Art & Design στον Καναδά από το 1993 έως το 1998. Μετά την επιστροφή της στην Ελλάδα δούλεψε ως junior fashion editor με τον fashion editor Νικόλα Γεωργίου, αφήνοντας το προσωπικό της στίγμα στους μεγαλύτερους ελλ��νικούς εκδοτικούς οίκους. Την ίδια ώρα ήταν εργαζόταν ως μοντέλο με σπουδαίους σχεδιαστές όπως: Γιώργος Ελευθεριάδης,  Λουκία, Filep Motwary and Orsalia Parthenis, ενώ έχει περπατήσει σε πολλά catwalk. Αυτό, όμως, φαίνεται ότι δεν της έφτανε και αποφάσισε να ανοίξει τα φτερά της και ταξιδέψει στο άγνωστο. Για τρία χρόνια ταξίδεψε σε ολόκληρη την κεντρική και νότια Αμερική, αναζητώντας έμπνευση και νέα ερεθίσματα. Επέστρεψε ξανά στην Ελλάδα ως φωτογράφος μόδας, με την δουλειά της να αναγνωρίζεται και να έχει δημοσιευτεί σε μεγάλους Ελληνικούς και διεθνείς τίτλους περιοδικών. Από το 2014 εργάζεται ως Art Director στο Fashion Worksop της Βίκυς Καγιά. Είμαι άνθρωπος που μου αρέσει να αυτοσαρκάζομαι “Το μόνο πρόβλημα που έχω είναι όταν δεν καταλαβαίνουν οι άλλοι από χιούμορ. Εκεί παγώνω, είναι το μόνο που με τρομάζει στους ανθρώπους. Δεν είμαι αγενής, αλλά δεν πρόκειται να κλείσω το στόμα μου. Υποτίθεται ότι εκεί είμαι για να σε μάθω κάτι. Στο επεισόδιο που σχολίασα το σουτιέν με ενίσχυση, έλεγα το πρώτο πράγμα που μου εξήγησαν στα fittings: δεν γίνεται να φορά�� εσώρουχα που προσθέτουν fake όγκο. Το πρόβλημα δεν είναι με τον σωματότυπο αλλά με το τι προσθέτεις σε αυτόν”. Ο γάμος στην Κίμωλο Η Ζενεβιέβ Μαζαρί είναι παντρεμένη με τον φωτογράφο Βασίλη Καρύδη και έχουν δυο παιδιά, τη Ροζαλία και τον Μιχάλη. Το ζευγάρι παντρεύτηκε πριν 5 χρόνια στην Κίμωλο σε ένα όμορφο εκκλησάκι! Η κριτής του GNTM, ήταν μια ρομαντική νύφη με ένα λευκό μάξι νυφικό από δαντέλα και έχοντας τα μαλλιά της πιασμένα πίσω και στολισμένα με φούξια λουλούδια, ίδια με την ανθοδέσμη της. Η  Ζενεβιέβ έκανε δύο νέα τατουάζ για τα παιδιά της Δεν ξέρουμε τι έχει σκεφτεί για τα χέρια της, όμως τίμησε με δύο μικρά τατουάζ τα παιδιά της Rosalia & Mischa. Όπως θα δείτε και στην εικόνα που ακολουθεί το Μ και το R υπάρχουν στους αντί��ειρες των χεριών της. «New tattoo by @sotjatattoo my Rosalia & Mischa ❤️? σύντομα έρχονται και τα μανίκια ??♀️???», σχολίασε κάτω από τη φωτογραφία της και αμέσως η αντίδραση της παρουσιάστριας του GNTM, Βίκυς Καγιά, ήταν μερικά emoji που έδειχναν έκπληξη. Freedom Candlemaker's new album Beaming Light is the culmination of his extensive musical journey and is aiming to reach far and wide and make his music known to an international audience. Beaming Light marks a departure from the artist's previous output both sonically and symbolically: it is a radiant album that doesn't carry the deep melancholy of his earlier work. Delving into uncultivated sonic areas, he finds a perfect balance between dense synth and guitar-based arrangements and his insightful songwriting, within a dreamy and nostalgic scope. In Beaming Light, Lefteris is seeking to reach a harmonious connection between past and future, childhood and adulthood, earthly and divine. The main thread of the record consists of themes of spirituality, empathy and achieving peace with one's inner being, through constant change and reinvention. 

The album was recorded mainly in Athens and is produced by Alex Bolpasis, one of the brightest young producers in Greece and also long-time friend and collaborator of Lefteris. Besides Lefteris playing bass, guitar, piano and synths, the album features the musicians: Michalis Kapilidis (drums), Dimitris Hatzizisis (guitars, violins), Vassilis Vlahakos (guitars, piano), Fotis Siotas (violins), Orestis Benekas (synths) and Hristos Hatzihristou (synths). The album artwork is based on the unique photos of photographer, writer, curator and journalist Filep Motwary. Bio: Freedom Candlemaker is a direct translation of the Cypriot singer-songwriter Lefteris Moumtzis' name into English. Lefteris is a Cypriot musician, composer and producer, living in Lefkosia, Cyprus. Apart from his solo releases - lead singer of J.Kriste, Master of Disguise, Trio Tekke, and various collaborations - he is the founder of the independent record label Louvana Records and the artistic director of Fengaros Music Festival, Music Village Fengaros and Lefkosia Loop Festival. His musical journey began at the age of six when he started learning the piano.

At the age of fourteen, he started taking saxophone lessons, and shortly after he joined his sister's rock band playing the piano and later on as a singer. During his obligatory service in the Cyprus army at the age of eighteen, he taught himself how to play the guitar, the bass and the drums and he realised that music was his path. He studied music in Boston, Massachusetts and later on in Birmingham UK, eventually moving for several years in London, UK, where he formed various bands like Masters of Disguise and Trio Tekke and organised his own music nights in South London. Upon his return to Cyprus , he founded the independent record label Louvana Records, with Andreas Trachonitis. His albums with Trio Tekke represent milestones of contemporary Greek rembetico music while his records as J.Kriste, Master of Disguise are a perfect blend of folk music and "Reflections" era Manos Hadjidakis.
