Not a question, I just want to point out that when I write your tumblr handle, I think of it as 'the ATS, the tic' I'm still figuring out where 'the tic' comes in

In highschool my best friend showed me a few vaporwave albums. I'm a poser when it comes to vaporwave, I drew a lot of fanart in the style and had a few albums under my belt but never pursued more albums after that.

Around that time I was trying to change my username, it used to be ATSStalker (ats is my initials, stalker was from an old joke oc who lived in people's homes and stole their food) my mom took me aside and told me to take the latter part out of my username.

I toyed around usernames for a minute and ended up with ATSnCrafts, like arts and crafts or; the V A P O R W A V E one.

in the vaporwave field, there was a joke that was repeated constantly where you'd write everything L I K E T H I S.

Especially the term T H E A E S T H E T I C when talking about vaporwave. It stems from a handful of things but it was really popularized by frankjavcee's old deleted video of how they made vaporwave. (again I was a poser of a fan, only really liking a handful of the music so I might be wrong on a few parts of this)

So ATS is my initials and I wanted to change my username into a pun thing so TheATSthetic like TheAesthetic. I've never heard anyone pronounce it right without me telling them how its pronounced. Should've went with ATSnCrafts but I'm not changing it anytime soon.

In an ideal world, I'd just go by @ ATS but this is not an ideal world so every social media has taken it.

Oh god one song that *perfectly* describes them? I dunno if that exists, or if I does I haven't heard it yet. There are some songs that do remind me of them though, namely IDOLiZER by STYXVII [specifically the line "you thank that you can be me, be a stupid plastic copy/well you'll never have to go through what it took to fucking get here"] and I Love Hating You by FrankJavCee. They're SO enemies to lovers oh my god it's insane

Same with Apogee - it's a dancing in the kitchen late at light kind of song and the remix is a tense/hopeful tango or something. That or I'll fixate on a line
