Books Read in 2025
Faebound by Saara El-Arifi
And for a time, all was well. But no matter how much the gods wished for peace, they had given their children the one thing that would never ensure it. Free Will.

✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨
Cursebound by Saara El-Arifi
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
[instagram]
Thank you Random House and Netgalley for providing me with an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was SUCH a great sequel. Even better than the first and I am so excited to see what happens in the third and final book after the events of this one.
The continuation of our main characters stories had me gripped. The threat against Lettle’s life and uncovering who was behind the plot to kill her was absolutely fascinating. I managed to work out who was behind it a while before the reveal but that’s never something that lets me down when reading.
The ongoing political tension with the fae but also with the elves continued to ramp up during this one and I really do love politics and war in fantasy stories.
But the thing that really elevated this one was the addition of Alder. He was just so utterly loveable and wholesome. And his relationship with Golan caught me entirely by surprise and they’ve ended up my favourite ship in this series. They were just so dang precious.
Alder and all the secrets his plot uncovers was incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to see where it all leads.

“What’s it like, having a sister? I never had any siblings.” Lettle looked at Yeeran ahead of them and barked out a laugh. “It’s terrible!” This drew a small smile from Rayan, but it wasn’t enough. “But it’s also like…” she searched for a metaphor he’d understand, “it’s like wearing a shield. It’s heavy to carry, but it protects the most precious parts of you. I love Yeeran more than anything.” ― Saara El-Arifi, Faebound

Still only in the first chapters of the book but... god, i'm sorry but i'm not connecting, enjoying, or... anything with the Lettle chapters, at the moment she just bothers me a lot, her attitude already nagged at me in the first book, but i don't know if i'm not giving her a chance or i just personally really don't like her character, and now she's acting all superior all the time and hating everyone around her, which i GET! really, but it's really annoying, and her chapters are starting to be a chore to read, and i hate it, because i want to read it but it's just... ugh.
And it's not just her, it's her and Rayan that bother me the most tbh, and although everyone is making... questionable decisions, these two are the ones bothering me more... i guess it can also be my bias is showing.

Most anticipated 2024 books!
I am anticipating a lot of books. To keep track of them, I made a 2024 tbr shelf. It has 123 books. I certainly won't be reading all 123, but since I can sort the list by release date it helps me keep track of new releases. Unfortunately, 123 is so many that half of them I don't even remember adding them or what they're about, so I decided to boil it down to 10 most anticipated new books and 10 sequels.

Propaganda Under Cut:
Lettle (Younger Sister of Yeeran): After her sister is exiled from Elven lands Lettle immediately goes to her even if it means that she will live in exile too.
Sophie Hatter (Older Sister of Lettie + Martha): Submitted by Anonymous x2. In the book she raises her 2 younger sisters well, makes their clothes, stops them fighting and looks out for them even when they're all doing their own thing after their schooling. She only wants the best for them and is never jealous of their talents and beauty and fortunes as young sisters which is bound to be better than hers as is the belief of their land.
