August has become a useless month and I don't know how to feel about it.
#It feels like August used to be a month of nostalgia#The summer was drawing to an end and the most exciting events were over but you still had no obligations to pick up#The weather is intolerably hot but you don't need to tolerate it yet#A transitional liminal time#Fall with its brisk activity and fresh start is still creeping in#The break between the capitalistic push of 4th of July and summer vacation and the end of year holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving#I dunno feels like we jump from holiday marketing tactic to holiday marketing tactic and the slow laxness of the end of summer is rushed by#But maybe I'm just getting older and mourning lost youth#Who knows
