As a newcomer on Tumblr and on the Supernatural fandom, I first had trouble following all the past events that were regularly reminded and celebrated.

A Promise

synopsis: Hyunjin promised he was gonna marry you. You weren’t sure if he even remembered it. But now here you were, years later, talking about that same promise from 10 years ago.

“Do you wanna get married?”

The words cut through the quiet hum of the kitchen, so casual yet heavy with meaning that your hand paused mid swipe as you spread the peanut butter across the bread. You froze, your breath hitching as the knife hovered over the bread.

It shouldn’t have caught you by surprise. It wasn’t like you hadn’t talked of marriage before.

You nodded, “Yeah.” But when Hyunjin didn’t reply, you turned to look at him. He was standing behind you, leaning against the counter.

“Are you asking me now..?” You asked, your tone slightly confused.

Hyunjin shook his head. “Not now, soon. I wanna surprise you.”

You chuckled as you looked down to finish your sandwich, “It wouldn’t really be a surprise if I know already,” But Hyunjin shook his head.

“I have something planned..” He whispered, so low you almost didn’t hear him.

“But- hmm,” You pause and hummed.

“What?” Hyunjin asked.

“I was gonna say, now i’ll be suspicious of everytime you ask me out on a date, out somewhere nice. But you do that all the time anyway.” If you didn’t know any better, you would’ve said it’d be easy to tell when he’s doing something special because he’s about to propose.

But that’s where you’d be wrong.

Hyunjin had set the bar so impossibly high, that you had no idea how you could even attempt to tell how a surprise proposal would feel different from just a regular date.

With Hyunjin being an idol, he was constantly busy. You had opportunities to spend time together, but they were mostly brief moments in between schedules so there weren’t many opportunities to actually go out on a proper date.

That meant when he did have the time, Hyunjin like to go all out as he does every day of your relationship. Whether it’s a date, anniversary, your birthday, or just a random Tuesday, he loves to spoil you.

Whether it’s with his love, fancy gifts, flowers left on your vanity, handwritten notes tucked into your bag, or massages that he’s unfairly good at.

It wasn’t even just big things, it was the small one too. You could offhandedly mention you were craving something and Hyunjin would have it delivered to your door the next day. You could say you were stressed and Hyunjin would drop everything to sit beside you and comfort you.

He’s been doing it for years. All the way back to summer of 2005 when you, only five-years-old, had first met and Hyunjin insisted on sharing his snacks with you even though you have politely declined (three times).

Becoming his girlfriend just gave him an excuse to do it more—not that he needed one.

If you were gonna be suspicious, that meant you’d have to be suspicious of every single date.

No, every single day.

Hyunjin chuckled, the sound low and sweet, “That’s why it’s a surprise,” He teased, “I can tell you now, but you’ll never know.”

And just like that, he turned around, ready to walk back to the living room where the other members were sat playing games.

“What about your promise?” You called after him. Hyunjin paused midstep, he turned his head slightly just enough for you to see the gleam in his eyes.

“The one you made 10 years ago?”

February 17th, 2015, in your old bedroom he had promised to marry you on that exact day in 10 years. It was before you and even begin dating.

At first, he had promised to propose in exactly 20 years, but when you mentioned how you’d be in your thirties, Hyunjin decided that was too long of a wait.

‘Why not propose on Valentine’s Day instead of today?’ you had asked him. But he simply shook his head and said ‘I want us to have our own special day.’

So you always knew you’d be getting married, it was just a matter of when that day would come. And it was soon.

Hyunjin’s mouth curled into a sly smirk and he lifted his hands up and shrugged as if clueless, before disappearing into the living room.

You scoffed, but there was a smile on your face.

He remembers.

Of course he remembers.

Since there's an anon going round asking people for their top 10 episodes by year, I thought I'd do mine, in chronological order.

2015

- 12th February: the scene between Robert and chaddy is one of my favourite scenes ever. The early show of honesty vulnerability amongst the bravado... yum.

- 8th April: so cute. Robert worried about Aaron being out all night, putting his lil jacket over Aaron like a blanket, care about him I don't just! Stupid interfering bitch. Pebble rock. It's just so good.

- 22nd June: this may be violating the rules because it has nothing to do with robron but I stan the dinner party from hell with coira and chrobert.

- 8th July: for obvious reasons. But also it was my first ever live episode so it holds a massive place in my heart.

- 20th July: the heart eyes, the suits, the sneaking around home farm. Absolute gold.

- 23rd July: just vote for all of July at this rate, I hear you. I would love to. But of course I had to do the insanity of the lodge. The affair reveal is fab but this is included for "falling in love with you ruined everything" and "you said you loved me too remember" and Robert crying on the floor like a lost child.

- 24th September: it's hard to pick between the episodes this week because they're firing on absolutely every cylinder. But from a robron perspective, it has to be this one, as a noted scrapyard scene apologist. Ryan is at his very best here.

- 22nd October: we have the who shot robert flashbacks, "I can't stop loving someone like him", Aaron going to whack him with a wrench, the hurt Robert feels when he finds out Aaron's been arrested and the iconic list of suspects he reels off.

- 2nd December: I'm your man! You're never gonna be that again! My fave robron scene of all time tbh.

- 18th December: I tried to resist but this couple of months is where I live. The flirting in this one! Us living under the same roof wouldn't that be cosy! Robert was so determined to get Aaron back he was willing to inherit a pub. Icon.

2016

- 21st January: my favourite scene of all time may be I'm your man, but this has my favourite line of all time. Being in fandom then was such a good time despite how difficult the storyline was. I just remember reading an article about the episode and it said something along the lines of Robert maybe having a revelation of his own, but I don't think anyone expected an ily??? I had to grip my chair to keep from falling off it. Iconic. The whole episode was so amazingly acted and the centrepiece of one of the best weeks emmerdale ever had.

25th February: the spoiler drop for this one was iconic. We met beloved Liv for the first time, Robert got kneed, we got the entirely ridiculous "of course I still want this" as if Aaron had ever done anything but resist Robert's attempts to get back together, an icon! And of course the first fairly pathetic attempt at a near kiss, love it though. A note for Robert's hair as well.

2nd March: Robert in a maroon suit! The absolutely insane flirting. You lost your touch?!? AS IF?!? Chrissie's "it's good to know who you are". Their faces when Vic says its a date??? Smitten kitten??!?!?!?! I live here x

15th April: we finally get justice for Aaron. We also get the insane Adam realising they're together from one touch, and the absolutely stunning scene outside the woolpack. Probably controversial, but better than the reunion itself for me.

14th July: Yes, Charity catching them in the shower is gold as is Robert's insane lust. The real star of the show is the two boyfriend drops and the hilarious "not that you're not lovely" "or your daughter in law" and "the man went to prison for being gay, guess what in other news he's still gay". I loved Lawrence and Ronnie's relationship so that was also a highlight.

16th August: the handbag line is great but this isn't robron's episode, this is robert and andy's episode. Bernice also deserves a mention. Funny, heartbreaking, poignant. The perfect send off, really.

17th October: I don't even need to explain this one.

24th October: another one I tried to resist but it's just perfect oh my god it's so cute.

16th December: the pub quiz!!!!!

25th December: their first Christmas together ❤️ I still have Aaron's jumper.

2017 (this is so difficult bc I've never really rewatched it outside of the fandom rewatches)

- 5th January: I don't like this as much as I should, but there's no denying the suits and the Vegas stuff is brilliant. And I love the rolo joke.

- 23rd January: the pub scene is so damn sweet. Robert sitting in the dark worrying about Aaron. Got too much keeping me here these days! You're not on your own you're with me remember! I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else! The casual touches. Just lovely.

- 20th February: DIRTY LITTLE GREASE MONKEY okay the whole thing is perfect but that one line is enough. And also big gay wedding in the morning... queen.

- 21st February: I wouldn't normally do 2 in a row but. The garage scene, the callbacks, the first dance that wasn't a first dance, wouldn't kick blondie out of bed for leaving crumbs.

- 23rd February: 3 in a row is bad I know but it has my favourite moment of theirs (which is different to line and scene tyvm). The fucking forehead heart kiss hug thing it's perfect and nobody will ever beat that level of romance ever. The teasing about Robert's shower gel is also adorable.

- 10th April: partly heinous but then most of 2017 is. It still gave us the glorious picnic and clothes swap so. I've had better, well I haven't! Is that something else you don't do outdoors?! I'm Aaron Dingle I don't eat salmon and I don't have sex outdoors!

- 25th May: my beautiful husband who I love!!! People don't stay with me!! People don't forgive me!!! I love you, still, yeah, I love you more!! Such a tough watch but also all time epic romance moments.

- 19th June: I love them teaming up to fuck over Ross, and the weed plot was iconic. A rare moment of levity in that time.

- 29th November: our robbo back in the mill where he belongs! The chemistry... phew!!

- 25th December: again, one I don't love as much as I should, but their insane love for each other and the fashion in this episode makes it worth it. Robert becoming a real boy is so important to me.

*shudders*

2018

- 11th January: nothing to do with robron, again, but I know in my heart as a chrobert stan I must include their final parting. Also, Larry's death is hilarious.

- 14th February: what did we do for Valentine's last year? Oh I won't even quote anymore, this is on the list for one scene and one scene only: POCKET DIAL. invented romance.

- 15th February: SO underrated. Obviously we have the adorable "I think he wanted me" but also the stuff about it actually was what it looked like and Aaron being so close to choosing Robert and then.

- 22nd February: reuniting with Aaron is part of the bisexual contract <3 bonus points for the delivery of "oh my god we forgot the baby" and the vanity scenes.

- 5th April: the kidnap plot was nonsense but I had to include some of the jobert feud and Robert's worry over Aaron was gorgeous.

- 26th July: the proposal is wonderful but honestly this was even better. Both of them coming up with their proposals, the reactions from Chas and Liv, the fucking Robron and Seb scene oh my god it's too cute.

- 30th July: fiiine I'll include the proposal too. You made it okay to be me! Jinx! Except it's not some random layby! Chas and Liv plotting. The plans to adopt Seb. It's not Lachlan is it! Yeah, just a wonderful episode. Most couples would dream of such a good proposal and we got two separate iconic proposals. Here's hoping the third will be as good!

- 28th September: Robert calling them bachelors lmaooooo. The vadam sideplot was good and of course the stag do and karaoke was EVERYTHING.

- 5th October: obviously. The watch!! Their suits!! The Love We Stole!!! Their heart eyes!!! The speeches!!! Wedding 1.0 is better, but honestly, they really ate this one, too.

- 20th November: Robert hanging out with children and getting his pretty shirts ruined. I stan. This being the thing that makes him realise he wants more kids, very cute. I'm not a parent robron fan really but I was almost cheering here. Shout out to it being the beginning of Robert and Nicola being awful to Graham (affectionate).

2019

- 22nd January: my favourite version of this episode is the secret one that only existed in spoilers but what we did get was great too! Shenanigans with Seb and Spamela and that wonderful chat with Aaron and Moira about their partners being nightmares. All capped off with the cutest lil nap.

- 26th March: the weirdest, most fun wlw mlm solidarity double date dinner. I live for Robert and Charity being the same person being called out.

- 11th April: this gave us so much! Smiling at each other talking about having a family together, Liv standing up to Maya, the absolutely GORGEOUS conversation between Robert and Liv about not having to change for anyone (that convo hit 20 year old me Hard), the ridiculous face Aaron pulls when Robert suggests hot chocolate, if the next one gets your eyes everyone's in trouble, Liv blackmailing Maya so robron can afford a kid, and that damn snuggle on the couch.

- 22nd April: Robert finally gets a birthday!!!

- 7th May: the big night out flashback, which was super well done on the whole. Robron were flirting so badly, I'm married and rusty!! If I met you in a bar, I still would!! The Victoria story was heartbreaking and really well acted. The directing and lighting was so atmospheric as well.

- 25th July: the football team storyline was useless nonsense in the best way. This particular instance featured Robert and Victoria being adorable and goofy and I live forever on the crumbs of a friendship group it gave us.

- 6th August: Robert shamelessly lures his husband away from important accounts work with sex and surrogacy (not clickbait!). Robert and Aaron looking peak in grey and black, and getting lightly slut shamed by Diane. Beautiful stuff. Victoria gets all angsty as is her right and it ends in a lovely conversation where Robert gets really vulnerable about going to prison and giving Aaron something to look forward to.

- 10th October: mention of a classy anniversary trip! The clock ticking so loudly in their ears that they're doing everything possible before their time runs out. Most importantly, the family unit of Liv, Aaron, Robert, Victoria and Seb together properly for the last time. Robert really came so close to having it all.

- 17th October: what is it with the boys and that date in the woods? Though the runaway era was frustrating at times, there's no doubt that their chemistry was on full front here, and their reckless devotion was never more present. From their desperate last kiss to them imagining their dream life in France, it was magical. The perfect way to end their time pre-prison.

- 1st November: the best goodbye I could ever have hoped for, honestly. The details, from the pictures in Robert's prison cell to TWO plays of The Love We Stole. The banter about Aaron knowing the prison cook, the worry, the wedding rings, the moment Robert decides not to tell Aaron and to let him go. You're the best thing that ever happened to me, promise me you'll never forget. All the little touches and the hug that still has me in tears. Aaron being in the background as Robert leaves. The montage. It's so respectful and so important to their legacy. For 6 long years, I was ecstatic that this was the end. They did it right.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀nakyung was born on april 1st, 2001 as nicole lee in toronto, canada. she grew up in port hope, ontario, canada with her older brother, daniel, and younger sister, ciara. her mother, angie, worked as a middle school music teacher and her father, joshua, was a construction worker.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀she became interested in music early on, her mother teaching her how to play guitar and piano as soon as she was old enough. when nakyung wanted to be a singer “just like stevie nicks” at eight-years-old, angie put her in vocal lessons.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀after being persuaded by her best friend, she joins the free ballet classes at her school with her. she starts to take dance and her vocals more seriously, finding it more fun than instruments. 

 ⠀⠀  ⠀when she’s thirteen, her parents tell her and her siblings that her mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer the year before. they wanted to wait to see if chemotherapy would help. angie had gotten laid off from her job, leaving joshua the only financial support. 

 ⠀⠀  ⠀for more financial stability and emotions support, the lee family moved from canada to south korea to stay with angie’s parents. nicole didn’t even have time to say goodbye to her friends.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀nicole, now going by nakyung, didn’t make very much friends in her new school and kept mostly to herself. she got a job under the table as a waitress to help her parents with bills, telling her family she was at a dance studio by her school.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀while working, she was scouted by pledis entertainment. despite her parents thinking it was sketchy and cult-like, she auditioned and was accepted. as her brother was going to seoul national university, she moved to seoul with him to train at pledis.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀in 2016, nakyung’s parents announced that angie was in remission. she started working as a teacher again after becoming healthier.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀nakyung was in the final line-up for pledis’ upcoming girl group, but was pulled out due to ‘not being ready’. she almost left the company until her mother convinced her to stay and become better.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀with no news of a new pledis girl group, nakyung volunteered herself to join mnet’s survival show, produce 48. she would end up placing second in the last episode and debuting in temporary girl group, IZ*ONE, in 2018.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀in 2020, nakyung’s parents announced that angie’s cancer had came back— being part of the 10-20 percentage of ovarian cancer recurrence. angie would not try chemotherapy again, wanting to be with her family and go to new zealand. due to the pandemic, the family would ultimately stay in korea and not fulfill angie’s wish.

 ⠀⠀  ⠀in 2021, her mother dies and IZ*ONE disbands. nakyung is not seen for a long time, not even by her IZ*ONE members until her OST song for kdrama ‘twenty-five twenty-one’, stardust love song, was announced. she would, again, disappear.

͙͘͡ ★ ◞  FATHER.     joshua lee was born march 13th, 1973 in daegu, south korea as lee jaehyun. the day he turned eighteen, he left his house and moved to canada with his best friend and legally changed his name to joshua lee. he met angela park in 1994 and would go on to have three children with her. the first being daniel in 1997, nicole in 2001, and ciara in 2004. he doesn’t want to be in korea when they have to move but does it for his wife. when angie dies in 2021, he completely barricades himself in their room. one day, his number is changed and all of his belongings are gone. we never find out what happened to him but he either killed himself or changed his name again and started a new life. he is referred to as ‘dad’ or ‘deadbeat’. (non affectionately)

͙͘͡ ★ ◞  MOTHER.     angela ‘angie’ lee was born on october 29th, 1975 in jeju, south korea as park jangmi. she goes by angela or angie now because she likes the name. she was studying abroad in canada when she met joshua. in 2012, she is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. together, they decide to bare the news on their shoulders alone and decide not to tell anyone unless chemotherapy doesn’t work. it begins to work, but it’s too expensive and she’s laid off. they have to move to seoul to be near her family for help. she hates the person she is while on chemo, and turns to god in her sickness and health, even when she’s in remission in 2016. she begins working again. in 2020, the cancer come back, but angie doesn’t want to be on chemo again. she wants to be with her family, in new zealand. but then they can’t go and she dies in korea. she is referred to as ‘mom’.

͙͘͡ ★ ◞  BROTHER.     daniel lee was born on august 15th, 1997 in toronto, canada. he grew up teasing his younger sisters, ever so mean to them during puberty but there for them when they were upset. his relationship with his parents wasn’t so great, always noting a difference in the way they brought him up compared to his sisters. when he was eighteen, he left for seoul national university in 2015 with his sister. he now works as a cyber security engineer. he is referred to as ‘daniel’, ‘danny’ or ‘dumbass’. "This thread will be in English, just in case someone from abroad wants to read it and understand a bit more about the war in Ukraine. Feel free to share it if you like. These are purely reflections on how daily news about killed people has become routine.

In journalism—likely in Western journalism as well—there’s a concept called “corpse-kilometers.” In one phrase, it would sound like: “For a reader to pay attention to a terrible event, the number of deaths must be proportional to the distance between the event and the reader.”

You’ve probably noticed this. If a car crash in your country kills 20 people, it resonates with you. If it’s 20 people 5,000 kilometers away, you might not pay attention. After all, it’s far away, in a country unfamiliar to you, and those terrible events barely touch you.

And that’s normal. People are naturally more interested in what’s happening around them because it directly affects their lives. Unfortunately, they care less about events far away, even though those events might also have significant impacts on them.

Now, about Ukraine. Since 2013, my colleagues and I have observed spikes of interest in events here. This lasted until around the winter of 2015. The reason was clear: first, protests against Yanukovych, then the occupation of Crimea, then the war in eastern Ukraine.

It all came to a halt after Ukrainian troops withdrew from the encirclement in Debaltseve and the Minsk agreements were signed. After that, the war entered a frozen stage, where it remained until February 2022.

Why did this happen? The protests against Yanukovych, who was actively pulling Ukraine toward Russia, escalated gradually: mass protests, the first brutal beatings of protesters, the first MASSIVE rallies in Kyiv, barricades in the streets, clashes with police.

Then there was a brief lull, followed by gunfire against protesters on February 18, and mass shootings on February 20. Yanukovych fled, and the south and east of the country ignited with pro-Russian rallies (if English-speaking readers are interested, I’ve written about this).

Next came the occupation of Crimea, where Russian military forces without insignia pretended they weren’t interfering. Then the occupation of Sloviansk, involving Igor Girkin (callsign "Strelkov"), who arrived in eastern Ukraine straight from Crimea.

What followed was the active phase of the war, with a dynamic frontline where Ukraine was reclaiming territories, generating newsworthy events. After Debaltseve, the war was frozen, and a frozen war doesn’t make news.

What’s more, people grow accustomed. To maintain audience attention on the horrors unfolding at home, the horror has to become increasingly massive. From 2015 to 2022, Ukrainian soldiers were dying almost daily along the frontline.

But this was almost unnoticed even in Ukraine. Daily reports of 5, 7, 10 soldiers killed became numbers, a routine. Everything changed in January when the media began actively discussing an impending Russian full-scale invasion.

About two weeks before the full-scale war began, the Russians ramped up shelling along the frontline. Ukraine was back on the front pages. Then came Kharkiv, Kyiv region, Chernihiv region. There was Mariupol. There was horror and shock.

Then came the de-occupation of Bucha, Irpin, Makariv. Yahidne in Chernihiv region. Mass graves of murdered civilians. These dead people in pits probably still haunt many journalists from time to time. Then there was the counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region. Graves in Izium.

Ukraine conducted a successful offensive in Kherson. Uncovered torture chambers. The summer of 2023 passed in anticipation of a counteroffensive, which ultimately didn’t succeed. For a number of reasons.

Then there was the destruction of the Kakhovka dam. Flooded Kherson. Villages near Kherson under water. Dead people who drowned because, on the left bank of the Kherson region, the Russians didn’t even try to help them. Hell, the Russians even abandoned their own troops to drown.

And then came the Russian offensive. Which continues to this day. Against this backdrop, news of daily missile and drone strikes gets lost – strikes that kill civilians. Every week, the Russians kill a dozen or two civilians. But this has become routine.

Because what are ten dead people compared to Chasiv Yar or Toretsk, which are being literally leveled to the ground? What’s the investigation of Russian crimes from March 2022 compared to Pokrovsk, which now waits for Russian bombs?

What are civilian prisoners, about whom we have almost no information, compared to all this? Hell, even Kharkiv, which is hit daily with guided bombs, has become routine. Not just for foreign media, but even here in Ukraine. For different reasons, though.

Because nearly every city in Ukraine is hit by drone and missile fragments. Every week. And people are more worried about what’s happening nearby. Unfortunately. For foreign colleagues, it’s hard to hold the audience’s attention, because those bombs fall somewhere far away.

More pressing matters include Trump’s elections. Or what the Labour Party will do. Or whether the far-right will gain votes in Germany’s elections. The war in Ukraine – it’s somewhere. And to keep attention, you have to find new ways constantly. And every month, it gets harder.

If in November 2022, 120 missiles fired at Ukraine were big news and a topic of discussion, I doubt it would be a major story now. Because what’s far more important is what Scholz talked about with Putin. And when those negotiations will finally happen.

Because Europe is tired of the war. And as a Ukrainian who sleeps every night in a bathroom behind two one-meter-thick walls, listening to Russian missiles being shot down, I find this both laughable and infuriating. But it is what it is.

So read the news about Ukraine. Read what Ukrainians write about this war. They understand Russians much better than wise Russo experts. Because we are the ones who live next door to the Russians. It’s us who spent ten years trying to negotiate with them.

Otherwise, one day you might be in for a surprise when Russian tanks roll from Belarus toward Königsberg, and the Russians wipe themselves with the peace agreements you’ve signed with them. Believe me, Ukrainians have had plenty of those over 10 years of war.

A few hours ago, the Russians struck a residential building in Sumy with a ballistic missile. Ten people were killed, including children aged 9 and 14. 50 people were injured. Surrounding residential buildings were damaged. Sadly, this is just an ordinary day in Ukraine.

This morning, Russians launched a ballistic missile strike on Odesa. There are casualties and injuries, but the exact numbers are not yet known. The flight time of ballistic missiles is so short that the air raid siren doesn’t always activate in time. Nightmare."

Pisces Portal Talon Abraxas Pisces Super Moon Lunar Eclipse September 2024

September 17th, 2024, brings both a Lunar Eclipse and a Super Moon, making it a rare and special Super Moon Lunar Eclipse! This will be a partial Eclipse, so we will still be able to see the Moon bright and strong in our night sky. Take a moment to look up at Mother Moon in all her strength – what message is she sharing with you?

Themes of the Pisces Super Moon Lunar Eclipse

Falling at 23 degrees of Pisces, this Lunar Eclipse holds the theme of breakthroughs and endings. As Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, we may see this mirrored in our experience of it. Something may come to an endpoint in our lives, or we may find that something is illuminated, allowing us to see things we didn’t see before. Alternatively, we may reach a point of wholeness, allowing us to recognize the full story or cycle of whatever we have been going through.

Lunar Eclipses tend to close doors that we have had difficulty closing ourselves. Sometimes, the endings they bring come as no surprise and simply give us a little push in a direction we were already hoping to travel. Other times however, they can bring swift endings that shake up our lives in an unseen way!

As this is a Partial Lunar Eclipse, and one of the weakest Eclipses we can experience, for most of us, the ending we experience may be one that we have seen coming for a while. Any breakthroughs are also likely to point us in the direction of closure, even if things feel uncomfortable at first.

It’s always worthwhile remembering that Eclipses tend to bring fated events and always put us where we need to be, even if we don’t like it at first!

As Pisces is ruled by water, we may be feeling extra emotional and sensitive at this time. Whatever unfolds under this September Eclipse may also result in a deep and long healing period, where we will have to be patient and allow things time to regenerate.

Pisces energy moves slowly as it works on the deepest fabrics of our being, so there is this sense that whatever unfolds will take time to process and digest.

Welcome to a New Eclipse Cycle

The position of the Lunar Nodes is what gives us our Eclipse cycle. Since 2023, the Lunar Nodes have been traveling in Aries and Libra, giving us Eclipses in these two signs. But this September Eclipse doesn’t fall in alignment with the Nodes, instead it falls in Pisces.

This happens when we are at a transitionary point. We are now wrapping up the Aries-Libra Eclipses and getting ready to enter the Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle.

While this Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle won’t really spring into action until next year, this is our first taste of what’s to come.

The last time we experienced the Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle was back in November 2015- May 2017, so you can think back to this time to see what themes may have been showing up for you. Remember, it’s not that the same things will happen again, but you can think of it as reaching a new evolution of whatever was going on for you at that time.

While this Eclipse is connected to the Eclipses we had back in March and April of this year, it is more of an introduction to what is ahead for the new Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle, which will run until February 2027.

The Virgo-Pisces Eclipses tend to stir matters relating to our health, wellbeing, and spirituality. We are guided to focus on the finer details and to get organized. It is also a highly creative Eclipse cycle that can stir new innovations, inspirations, and visions.

A Super Moon Eclipse is our Portal to the Divine

Super Moons happen when the Moon is nice and close to Earth, and we feel the lunar effects more strongly. Partial Lunar Eclipses are the weakest type of Eclipse we can have, but with the Super Moon in operation, we are getting a strong boost of lunar energy.

The Moon represents our feelings of safety and security, but under an Eclipse, we may feel exposed or vulnerable. Our sense of security and safety may be challenged in some way, or we may feel unsure of ourselves.

Working with the Pisces energy, we can come back to our intuition under this Eclipse. Our intuition, that soft, still voice within, is what we can rely on. That is where we will need to turn for our strength and reassurance.

Lean in to your spiritual connection, remember that you are connected to all and that there is a Divine plan at play.

Having a Super Moon and an Eclipse together is a rare and magical interplay of lunar energy to work with that can really allow us to feel her power! Full Moons, but especially Super Moons, have a way of drawing things out of us, so draw out your intuitive powers! Draw out all that you no longer wish to hold.

Following this Pisces Lunar Eclipse, we have a Libra Solar Eclipse on October 2nd. This Eclipse is the stronger of the two and will be the one we are likely to all feel a little more. Stay tuned for this Eclipse and what you can expect!

A Brief Look at Stem(me) History

Wanted to know more about Black lesbian identities and I couldn't find a lot on Tumblr or Twitter so I did some research on stem/stemme myself. I'm not involved in queer discourse like that but I've noticed stemme being compared with futch both positively an negatively. The term "futch" is a mash up of butch and femme and the OG Futch Scale was posted 17th February 2011. In 2015, it got posted to Tumblr and became a meme, then an accidental "guide" on lesbian identity. Regardless of stances pro-futch or anti-futch I wanted to find info on stem/stemme as a Black lesbian identity for gender and gender expression. The modern definition of a stem/stemme is a Black lesbian whose gender expression and mannerisms fall between stud and femme. I've managed to find definitions not only supporting this but also definitions predating the futch scale, both pre and post meme version:

"Stem – A person whose gender expression falls somewhere between a stud and a femme.  (See also ‘Femme’ and ‘Stud’.)" Stud is defined as "An African-American and/or Latina masculine lesbian.  Also known as ‘butch’ or ‘aggressive’." (John Jay College of Criminal Justice LGBTQ+ Terminology, Eli R. Green, 2003-2004)

"Stemm A stemm is a gay/lesbian female who dresses like a guy, and dresses like a girl. Person 1: Look at that girl, she looks like a dude with all those guy clothes on, she has to be a stud Person 2: Well she was wearing girly clothes yesterday, so I thought she was a femm Person 3: Actually she's a stemm, she's wears boy clothes sometimes, and girl clothes other times" (Urban Dictionary definition of Stemm by user JenniferHill, November 8th 2009)

"A lesbian, who identifies as a Stemme, retains traits from both Femme and Stud/ Butch lesbians. Stemmes are in the center of the lesbian spectrum of classification and identities. Therefore, it is considered natural or common for Stemme lesbians to share the same behaviors as women of two diverse identity groups. Often times, the Stemme identity is viewed as the “transitional” stage of lesbianism, when a lesbian woman goes from being a Femme to a Stud/ Butch, or (on rear occasions) from a Stud/ Butch to a Femme... *In this blog the characteristic and behavioral difference between a Femme and a Stud is conjoined. The way a Femme or a Stud dresses is not the only way she can be identified. They can also be distinguished by their attitudes, actions and the way they interact with other people. "Stemmes presented themselves one day as femme and another day as stud; as such, they were visibly unrecognisable unless they divulged their gender identity. Stemmes expose the amorphous nature of gender identity and are invisible – silenced, ostracised or prescribed a gender identity. Many participants refused to recognise that stemmes existed and instead described them as confused. As Shane (age 22) admitted: ‘Sometimes they [studs and femmes] think that we’re confused. We don’t know what we want to be.’ Stemmes show that personal identity claims were often at odds with community perceptions of identity." Short Dawg said, 'A stem, for me, is a little mixture of a lot of different things. One day you can be super feminine, and the next day you can be not so feminine.'" Stem(me) is an identity coined by Black lesbian spaces

Stem(me) mainly follows stud/femme dynamics rather than butch/femme (but can reference it)

Stem(me) predates the futch scale meme

Stem(me) is defined by clothing but also behaviours, so it can be a form of Black gender expression or gender itself

MK23/JD91 aka the Matthew Knies and Josh Doan primer

Background/context:

Matthew Knies (no. 23, TOR): born 17th October 2002 in Phoenix Arizona. Here are some beautiful pictures of him

Josh Doan (no. 91): born 1st February 2002 in Scottsdale Arizona, and he is the son of Shane Doan (yotes legend). AND HE’S MY BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN TEENAGER 👹

Growing up they were best friends, Josh's father, Shane, would let the two into the coyotes locker room where the pair would play mini-sticks

They were both in the Arizona Jr. Coyotes hockey program together from 2015-2019. And won the Arizona Amateur Hockey Association 16U Tier 1 State Championship (fucking mouth full that is) with each other. (please i'm crying they're so tiny in the first photo 😭)

shane also coached the two boys and there is one quotes from another one of their coaches, Mike DeAngelis, that (make me go insane) sums up these two's relationship perfectly

"(Shane Doan) treated Matthew like he was his own son."

And in the same interview Mike called matthew and josh "two peas in a pod." (They are literally found family 😭)

Another piece of information that isn't really important is that matthew was at shane's number retirement, idk i just thought it was sweet

Then the 2 went their separate ways with Josh going to Chicago Biosteel and Matthew going to tri-city but even though they were apart this didn’t stop them from chirping each other in insta comments (aka it was matthew bullying josh)

in 2021 they were both drafted; josh doan was drafted 37th overall by the arizona coyotes (full circle moment 🥹) and matthew knies was drafted 57th by the Toronto Maple Leafs and in the post matthew put out josh commented this 👇

In 2022 they both opened a hockey academy in Arizona called "Knies & Doan Hockey Academy" that ran from the 27th of June to the 30th of June.

23rd of June 2022 these two did a podcast for the PHNX Sports together and i recapped it in this post

In 2022 & 2023 Matthew spent his summer at the Doan family ranch together as seen in these post
