Trois modèles aux finitions inspirées par quelques unes des grandes maisons de la série TV viennent d’être dévoilés

Marketing quand tu nous tiens : alors que la huitième et dernière saison de la série Game of Thrones, au succès populaire mondiale, est enfin en cours de diffusion sur HBO aux États-Unis (et OCS chez nous, 24h plus tard), la célèbre marque Fender a décidé de croquer à pleines dents dans le gateau de la hype.

Légitimé par la présence de Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage), Scott Ian (Anthraax) et Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), le projet vient tout juste d’être dévoilé, et consiste en trois modèles de guitares, reprenant les trois formes qui ont fait la renommée de Fender (Stratocaster, Telecaster et Jaguar), chacun reprenant à son compte une des trois maisons principales de la série. Vous aurez donc le choix entre la Telecaster « Stark », arborant la fameuse tête de loup de la noble famille du Nord ; la Stratocaster « Targaryen », reprenant le noir et le rouge du blason de cette famille très liée aux dragons ; et enfin la Jaguar « Lannister », dorée et aux finitions clinquantes – aucune surprise ici pour les fans de GoT.

Vendus entre 25 000 et 35 000 dollars pièce, les instruments sont directement issus du Fender Custom Shop, que le fabricant américain met particulièrement à contribution depuis quelques années. À qui prêteriez-vous allégeance ?

Tom Delonge facts part 1.

Here's a couple Tom Delonge facts from his Youth up to his work in Blink 182 x

 - Tom was born in Poway, California on December 13, 1975.

- Despite his success and love for his career, becoming a musician was not Tom's first calling. and he originally planned to become a firefighter, participating in the San Diego Cadet Program.

- He first picked up the guitar from a friend at church camp, and became preoccupied by the instrument ever since.

-  Tom received his first guitar as a Christmas present from two friends in the sixth grade – "a beat-up, shitty acoustic guitar that was worth about $30.

- Tom first began skateboarding in the third grade, which would wind up consuming much of his activity outside of school. he later remarked "All I did all day long was skateboard. It was all I cared about,"

- Surfing soon became another passion of Tom's and he spent much of his free time doing so. if he wasn't skating you could always catch him at the beach riding the waves.

- Mark was new to San Diego when his sister introduced him to Tom one night in August. after that the two would often jam in Tom's garage , exchanging lyrics and writing new songs.

- Shortly after the release of "Enema of the state" the album was often criticized as synthesized, manufactured pop only remotely resembling punk and pigeonholed as a joke act due to the puerile slant of its singles and associating music videos. despite this, the album went on to sell over 15 million copies and has had a considerable effect on pop punk music, inspiring a "second wave" of the genre and numerous acolytes.

- With time off from touring, Tom felt an "itch to do something where he didn't feel locked in to what Blink was, and channeled his chronic back pain (a herniated disc) and resulting frustration into Box Car Racer.

- Tom became uncomfortable with the hefty touring schedule, during which he was unable to see his growing family, He eventually expressed his desire to take a half-year respite from touring in order to spend more time with them.

- In a 2011 article, Tom outlined six musical acts that impacted his growth as a musician, which were Stiff Little Fingers, U2, Depeche Mode, New Order, Fugazi, and The Descendents. 

- Tom has stated the first album he "ever fell in love with" was The Joshua Tree by U2 and in a recent article he described the album as "still relevant and soulful".

- During Blink 182's younger years Tom tended to use Fender Custom Shop Stratocasters (and still occasionally uses them in studio recordings), and his own Fender Tom DeLonge Statocaster.

- Tom began dating Jen Jenkins with whom he had been friends since high school. They were married on May 26, 2001 at Coronado, California on San Diego Bay to which The band Jimmy Eat World performed at the reception. Tom gave each of the groomsmen, including Mark, silver yo-yos from Tiffany and Co.
