郷さくら美術館をご存知ですか？ 桜の作品を中心に収蔵している中目黒の美術館です。 桜の季節には目黒川沿いの桜並木の桜と、館内の桜の作品を鑑賞できる、まさに桜づくしのひと時が体験できます。

まだ郷さくら美術館が郡山にあった頃、オーナー様から「あなたの一番の桜を描いて下さい」と依頼され、十年以上の長い取材期間を貰って、やっと2020年に仕上げた作品です。 朝日から月、蕾から桜吹雪までを描いた畳8枚分��らいの大作の中で、朝日を含む桜の左隻が今回、縮小された版画となりました。

桜百景展vol.30 3/7〜5/14 郷さくら美術館にて大作をご高覧いただければと思います。

This is a ten-piece folding screen with embroideries of books and stationery. Paintings of books and stationery were in vogue in the late Joseon dynasty. In particular, King Jeongjo (1752-1800) ordered painters of the royal palace to paint depictions of books and stationery. Such paintings became popular not only among the royal family and aristocrats, but among commoners as well. The embroideries of each side of this folding screen contain books, containers, brush, ink paper and ink stone, among others. Vintage Japanese Mini Byōbu Folding Screen –Commemorative/Gift Size Byōbu Screen A vintage mini Japanese 8-panel folding screen. These Byōbu Folding Screens original purpose was to block drafts in traditional open-layout Japanese homes. Samurai lords displayed these screens in their homes as symbols of wealth and power. This screen is a mini gift size version to commemorate a new office, new home or other life event. One side of the screen has beautiful Japanese birds, flowers and trees. The other side of the screen has panels with black and white Japanese sayings. This screen comes with a blue gift box/cover. The overall condition is excellent. No damage or defects I can see. Unfortunately, I do not speak Japanese so I do not know what all the Japanese characters say! Sorry about that.. Maybe you know someone who speaks Japanese and you can ask them.. This screen has 8 folding panels that open up to a total width of 29-1/2” fully extended. The height of this screen is 8-5/16”. The depth of the fully extended screen is 1/8” thick.
