"We were engaged." Andrew insists mulishly. "I accepted the ring." he reminds.

"You forgot to say yes, you left me in the kitchen." Neil says with a laugh.

Andrew hates him.

"Shut up." He hisses even as he dutifully pulls out a cigarette to hand to Neil now that they're away from the production staff. Neil takes it and Andrew ignores how much he doesn't like to look at Neil's empty finger.

"If I wasn't worried about losing it, I'd wear it while we're filming." Neil says seeing Andrew's split second disapproval.

"Shut up."

Neil laughs and chokes as he chews through the buttery pastry. "It'll be messy when I shove your cake into your face." Andrew huffs.
