Afternoon into evening, January 3rd, 2020... . . . Because my mom has such a great vinyl collection, I borrowed some of her records over Thanksgiving. Many of the ones in this pile were favorites from my childhood, especially the Sesame Street Born to Add and Tammy Wynette's Greatest Hits. I've been listening to entire albums (the ones pictured) all afternoon. From Chuck Berry to Witch's Brew, from Godspell to Waylon Jennings, I've decided January is my month of musical peace and practice. I'm hoping to listen to my entire vinyl collection of old and new music over this beautiful month, easing into transitions in my life. . . . On January 1st, 2020, @robinblackpiano and I spent over three hours manifesting and letting go of dreams. We let go of resistance around fears and longings. We cried heavy tears. We laughed. But most importantly, we set an intention to gather monthly around the full moons to release and bring in. . . . On January 2nd, 2020, I was hit head on with a terrible virus that has kept me at home for over 24 hours. Today, I settled into my journals and planetary calendars, and I'm all in lunarly for 2020. . . . 2020, this decade is dedicated to music, co-creation, dancing, singing, action, tantra, and delectable foods. Harvest moon. The first full moon to happen on friday the 13th since 2000 and will not happen again until August 2049. In 2049, I will be almost 70 years old. These are all my stones in my possession. I'm pretty sure I fell in love with @beepbee1869 because @cipactonal and a few other key players had been in his life for so long. #howIbecametheChicken would not be complete without #mysanchez . This is kind of difficult for me to write... . . . . . . I met Luis ten years ago when I met Tom. They had already worked together for quite a while. I never really understood how beautiful Luis was until after T and I got married. Not to try to qualify this sentiment; I have been grateful to and for him from the beginning. However, after the wedding, Tom and Luis had a big project where they work that required very long hours- which happened to be the exact opposite schedule as mine. For a good six to eight weeks, I experienced a darkness that I've never known until those moments. Between a hectic, yet climactic end of #theyearoftheYas 2017 with holidays and extra house guests, and a busier beginning to #thewhatis2018 than previous winter months, I was wishing we had taken our honeymoon instead of what I was experiencing. I got through those times with the patience of my husband, @inlieuofflowers , and Luis. I remember a specific dinner where I completely flipped and all three of them took my emotional outburst with patience and love. (And some open mouths). . . . You don't get many relationships like this. Luis and Tom share a bond that is uniquely their's. And I am grateful my husband has a second wife to keep him on his best version of his crazy self. ♡ I also love Luis just as much, if not more, than my husband does. He is a cheerleader, a singer of praise, an incredibly talented artist, a hard worker, a master carpenter, and a lover of LOVE and FUN. . . . Luis, thank you for letting me be your Chicken. You and @adantaqubeck mean so much to our family and I celebrate you today, because you just simply LIVE what you PREACH. May your heart always be full and may your head hang out the window of the world! I will always picture you as a portrait of your own paintings- sexy, artsy, loving and multi-dimensional. Hiiiii Sunshine! Helloooo ya'll!! We are GLOWING. HOW ARE YOU? It is the 99th day of 2018!!! Whattttt?? . . . . . . On this #mildlynotsoManicMonday morning, I am grateful to see the sunshine. It is *almost* warm in Nashville and I've already gotten a teenager to school early (the first day back from #springbreak) and met with my inaugural team member with Limelight, the beautiful Michelle Salyer! I have lots of work today, and I am ending it with attending an open house/women's circle at @The Divine Life Playhouse in East Nashville. I am so grateful for connection! What about you? Day 18: Let me be a space where people feel free to begin again ♡. . . . . . . . The number 8 has always been my favorite. And '18' is now a part of that love because I married my mirrored partner in life on November 18th. This year, the #whatIs2018 , really feels like my year. Maybe it's the all the 8's, maybe I am just growing into my true purpose, or just maybe, I'm learning to get into my uncomfortable parts. I'm digging deep and I am not stopping. Yesterday, I wrote down five things I wanted to finish yesterday. I finished three out of the five, the last one being making three test pies out of mixed berries. I was so happy I finished tasks, I took one of my pies, along with some limelight samples, to one of my favorite bartenders who was working late. She told me later she shared the pie with the whole bar at 2am and they all raved about it. I woke up to that early text and it made my heart so happy. Finally! I am beginning to embrace the host that I am- I am becoming my wildest thoughts and aspirations. Life is getting more complicated by the minute, but because I am in my space of purpose, it feels so light. For the past month, I've met with several friends and colleagues, relating to them my plans for a wellness cafe. Some just smile and think it is another project I will leave half done like so many others before, and other friends get excited and give me more inspiration. Both perceptions matter- only because they are there for me to realize that they really are just individual perceptions- and that people's opinions of my dreams do NOT matter. They are my dreams and I am meant to be a mindful space- carrying them and spreading their Light (which is already in existence). Waking up and getting that text this morning only confirmed to me more solidly, I am carving out my own path and slowly trusting my empathy, my ability to hold space and my truthful pursuance of an inner Creative energy I may never be able to fully explain.
