Danny was tired. It wasn't normal tired, no. It was a core deep emptiness that nothing seems to help.
In desperation, he took melatonin and let Boxy run amok that night, and it still didn't help.
Now facing a boastful Skulker, he's rapidly becoming angry. The GIW fools and his genetic donors are causing damage to his territory, and the ghost isn't listening to Danny's attempts to talk him down.
He blacks out for what seems like a blink, and comes to in the caves below amity.
He's covered in ecto that smells distinctly of Skulker, metal dust and shards embedded into his suit. An innocent looking core sits against the wall opposite him.
Despite the situation, he feels good. He feels better rested than he has in months. The empty ache in his chest is finally filled. The core across the room..
Oh, that's Skulker...
The Hunter is metaphorically curled up on himself at Danny's feet, pleading for mercy, saying he'll leave him alone.
Please just throw me in the zone. Please don't eat me. Please please please...
Oh, is that why he's...
Huh.
It's almost absent-minded, as Danny picks up and pockets the pleading core. He knows he should probably be disgusted, but the purring of his instincts is too satisfied for that.
Luckily, he wasn't missing for too long, and the ghost hunters hadn't witnessed anything incriminating.
Danny had a lot of plans to flesh out....

schemes for to build terrariums and a new shelf for the studio!
#planning on building basically 8 enclosures that would be a good size for leopard geckos or female sandboas#downstairs shelf should fit the axolotls#the mice and the printer and heatpress#but still offer more space for storage and raising future baby beasts#idk if this is interesting to anyone but i build my own furniture and really enjoy it

#log date.txt#i can use them again im so happy...#for those who dont know: ive had my pc in storage for the past year and a half#coz we entered a temporary living situation#but its looking less temporary for the moment (aka foreseeable future)....#which ive come to terms with for now#and since we decided we'll be staying here.. we went ahead and got my pc out of storage#ive got a desk and pc area set up!!!!#with much help from my fiancee#so now im on my own pc again for the first time in a year and a half ^_^ couldnt be happier since its my comfort object#but anyways most importantly: i have access to my huge folders of p.eridot images and gifs again

I've really wanted to incorporate the Royal Bed into my Fortemps Guest Suite build ever since it was added, but it's so big, I have to completely rethink my design... to the point I might have to get radical and move the door. It's primarily for gposing anyway, does it really matter if you have to enter the apartment through the fireplace? :P
TBH if I really wanted to build the suite the way it is in my head I'd just straight up need more space than an apartment offers... which makes me think, maybe I should just tear out Ariane's basement and build it there. I don't necessarily want to do that, I do love the study I built down there, but also I have no glitches in her basement so everything's easily put back when I want to, and whenever we get the interior upgrades I'm going to be redoing the whole thing anyway. The guest suite is temporary and mostly for gposing (there's a Haurchefant Week down the road and I'll definitely want at least a few shots in there) so... this might be the way.
#this is how you end up with full storage rooms and retainers also full of housing items you refuse to let go. :P#ffxiv stuff#this is also why i tend to only glitch if i'm going to be leaving a build up for the foreseeable future#it is nice to just be able to switch out a whole apartment on a whim

#i still havent decided what device to get it on i didnt really care with the first two chapters because they were free#but now the chapters cost money and iirc buying chapters 3 and 4 also pays for any future chapters doesnt it#so i have to commit to a platform now ....#i think id rather play it on my laptop than on my switch but im worried itll run really badly on my laptop or take up a bunch of storage#but then again. its just a pixel rpg . surely itll be okay#maybe i can replay part of the demo and see how that goes and make my decision based on that

also the art institute of chicago LITERALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. that place was so incredible i broke down sobbing in front of nighthawks for a solid 10 minutes and then spent a combined 250 dollars at the gift shop. worth it. the art history nerd in me felt seen
#i also MET AN ASSOCIATE CURATOR. and she brought us to her offices and showed us their storage and i met one of the conservators#and she POSTED US ON HER INSTAGRAM...... i do not regret deleting instagram but god did i wish i didnt when she asked for our users.#genuinely life changing experience i have never felt so sure in my career and in my future. i cant wait. she was so lovely and fantastic#maybe i am gonna make it!!!! maybe this is possible!!!!!

Its a weird feeling. I'm so close to having a custom pc, and all the research and bookmarking and learning about the fundamentals of this task being done on my ancient, life support necessitating laptop. My two core laptop. My laptop that can't no more hold a charge, nor a wifi connection. The laptop I spent hours at the library deciding on, that I told everyone to give me best buy gift cards for Xmas and birthdays for to buy it. I wasted so much time playing minecraft on this thing. And in her twilight moments she slowly but surely loads the pages I need to see to replace her.
Heres to another ten years wasting time instead of sleeping but this time on a rig with an entire terabyte of memory let's go
#Pire.txt#Her name will be Ambrosia and I'm finalizing parts purchases tonight#On my way to building a moderately expensive lego set#Also 'twilight moments' more like half a year but you know what I mean#Also also 12 year old me is having a blast#You know that John Mullaney quote about pizza in a limo being the height of luxury for a kid?#A whole Terabyte!!#And more!!!#I got a 1T ssd (fast but expensive memory) and originally going to do a 2T disk drive because that's good for long term storage#But the 2T drive had lots of bad reviews on a different site with older reviews so I found a 4T drive#Priced less than double so it's actually cheaper per gb and more and better reviews#5 Terabytes total. That's not a real thing they can't do that#I'm never going to need to worry about disk space ever again#Maybe the disk will shut up every once and awhile#And she's going to be running Linux so there's going to be far less bloat and system to take up space on the fast drive#Idk if I'm even ever going to need that second drive but a girl's gotta be prepared#Future proofing ig

Gold bow also goes nicely with the yellow on torchic if you balance it right I think
true true! but to be clear the silver bow is for my hero entirely because that’s the aura i was assigned at the beginning of the game. if i were designing her from scratch i’d probably pick something else that goes better w the color scheme but like. i legit started feeling attached to that item even though there were better ones available in gameplay. it was assigned to me it was given to me it’s important to me
