Vor 40 Jahren, am 1.7.1984 gründete Jack Tramiel die Atari Corporation. Der Atari ST war damals in der Entwicklung. In kürzester Zeit wurde einer der interessantesten 16bit-Rechner seiner Zeit vorgestellt. Power without the price.
Der Atari ST ist der Computer, der mich von 1988 bis 2000 begleitet hat. Eine sehr lange Zeit für einen Computer mit 4 MB Speicher und 60 MB Festplatte. Der Atari ST wurde spät mit echtem Multitasking ausgestattet und erhielt in der Folge immer neue alternative Desktops. 'Crash' Mixed Media Object, 505 x 505 mm, 1992 (destroyed in 2010) B/W Laser print, Wood, Zinc Sheet, Steel Sheet, Plaster, Glas, Palm Leaf, Gold metallic powder
This very early mixed media object contains one of my first computer graphics that I created at the end of 1990 and/or beginning of 1991 with Xerox Ventura under GEMDOS before I was able to use Windows and MacOs systems. Shortly before, I had finished my job as a props technician at the theater. The mixed media object clearly shows access to the resources of everyday theater life, such as theater blood and plaster molds.
