idk that I have fully formed thoughts on this, but I've noted in my life that the GenX, Millennial, GenZ men and boys who are like the most "Manosphere" mostly people who aren't all in because I'm normal and don't have such people in my life, but more people who kinda brush up against the border of it. Any ways such people that I've known seem to have no "man" skills.
my father is a 70-something little hobbit of a man, short, wears glasses, was a fat boy growing up, loves reading, has a degree in English lit. But also he took apart his drier and fixed it, he can repair wooden furniture, hang dry wall, has built more than one wooden boat for fun, wood working, plumping, small engine repair, painting and home repair he's a little Swiss army knife of a man.
and the most manosphere vibe guy I know doesn't shovel his own drive way, doesn't know anything about anything when it comes to home ownership, always just hires a guy to do any basic task
so idk what that is, lack of self sufficiency and can do, while also being super instant on your manliness? short handing masculinity down to "wealth" and "physical attractiveness" (and being shit to women)
.

Boeing 787-9 Etihad Airways
Registration: A6-BNE Type: 787-9 Engines: 2 × GE GEnx-1B74/75 Serial Number: 39671 First flight: Aug 26, 2023
Etihad Airways was founded in July 2003 by decree of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi. The name “Etihad,” meaning “Union” in Arabic, reflects its goal of uniting people through travel. The first flight on November 5, 2003, from Abu Dhabi to Beirut marked the start of a journey that, over two decades, has turned the airline into an industry leader. By 2008, Etihad was carrying 6 million passengers annually, and today its network spans over 90 destinations.
Unlike its neighbor Emirates, Etihad has focused not just on scale but on innovation. In 2007, the airline opened its headquarters in Khalifa City, investing $50 million in a state-of-the-art complex with a pilot training center. In 2014, Etihad unveiled “The Residence,” a three-room luxury suite on its Airbus A380, which became a sensation in the aviation world. The journey hasn’t been without turbulence: in the 2010s, losses from investments in Alitalia and Air Berlin forced a strategic rethink. Yet, by 2025, Etihad has returned to positive growth, focusing on steady development and fleet modernization.
The Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 Dreamliner are the most numerous aircraft in Etihad’s fleet, with 43 currently in service and more on the way. Their large windows with electrochromic dimming and optimized cabin pressure make flights to Sydney, Tokyo, or Frankfurt less fatiguing.
Etihad is actively modernizing its fleet, aiming to expand to 150 aircraft by 2030. The airline expects delivery of 10 more A321neos, three A350-1000s, and four additional Dreamliners. As for the Boeing 777, after contract restructuring, Etihad has an option to purchase 777X aircraft but could also opt for more 787s. The 777X is not part of their five-year fleet expansion plan.

Air India’s Dreamliner Fleet Under Scrutiny After Ahmedabad Crash
New Delhi, India – In the wake of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, aviation authorities have swiftly intensified their focus on safety. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a directive on June 13, mandating immediate and comprehensive safety inspections for all Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft equipped with Genx engines.
Air India, which operates 33 of these Dreamliners, is actively complying. The airline announced on June 14 that it has already completed checks on nine of its Boeing 787s and is on track to inspect the remaining 24 within the DGCA’s specified timeline. These crucial inspections are being conducted as each aircraft returns to India, ensuring they are cleared for their next operations.
DGCA’s Mandate: What the Inspections Entail
Effective June 15, the DGCA’s order requires detailed inspections of several critical systems, including:
Fuel parameter systems
Cabin air diagnostics
Electronic engine controls
Fuel-driven actuators
Hydraulic systems
Take-off parameters
Additionally, flight control inspections must now be part of routine transit checks, and power assurance tests are required to be completed within two weeks. The DGCA has also instructed Air India to report any recurring technical issues found on its 787 fleet over the past 15 days, with all inspection findings to be submitted to the regulator.
Potential Delays for Long-Haul Routes
Air India has cautioned passengers about possible disruptions. “Some of these checks could lead to higher turnaround time and potential delays on certain long-haul routes, especially those to airports with operating curfews,” the airline stated on X (formerly Twitter). Passengers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport. For those affected, Air India is offering refunds on cancellations or complimentary rescheduling.
Government Responds to Crash
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu addressed the public for the first time since the horrific crash, confirming that the black box is currently being decoded and multiple investigations are underway. “We have very strict safety standards in the country,” Naidu stated on June 14. “When the incident happened, we also felt that there is a need to do an extended surveillance into the Boeing 787 Series… There are 33 in our Indian aircraft fleet today. I believe that 8 have already been inspected and with immediate urgency, all of them are going to be done.”

Segment Insights on the Aircraft Engine Forging Market: The global aircraft engine forging market is segmented based on aircraft type, process type, component size type, material size type, engine size type, application size type, end-user size type, and region.
Based on aircraft type - We have segmented our market into commercial aircraft, regional aircraft, helicopters, military aircraft, and general aviation. Commercial aircraft is expected to be the dominant as well as the fastest-growing segment of the aircraft engine forging market during the forecast period. Commercial aircraft engines require relatively advanced technologies to meet performance, efficiency, and environmental standards. There has been a great use of forging and investment casting in commercial aircraft engines, almost in all sections of engines. A handful of engines (LEAP, GEnx, P&W 1000, Trent XWB, etc.) secure the majority of the market demand. Despite short-term market fluctuations caused by macro factors, the long-term market demand seems quite favorable to the industry participants.
Based on the process type - The aircraft engine forging market is segmented into open-die forging and closed-die forging. The close die is expected to remain the larger as well as the faster-growing process in the aircraft engine forging market during the forecast period. Complex and exceptionally precise components with great strength can be produced using closed-die forging. Closed-die forging is well-suited for manufacturing components such as turbine disks, compressor blades, shafts, and connecting rods. Closed-die forging allows manufacturers to maximize the yield from raw materials, which eventually reduces the overall cost.
Based on the component size type - The market is segmented into small components and large components. The large components category is expected to be the dominating one in the market in the years to come. Engine performance and safety depend heavily on large components such as structural parts, compressor rotors, and turbine discs. During use, these parts are exposed to heavy rotational forces, high temperatures, and mechanical stresses.
Based on the material type - The market is segmented into nickel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and others. Nickel is expected to maintain its dominance, whereas titanium is expected to be the fastest-growing material type during the forecast period. Nickel is well suited for the harsh operating conditions of aviation engines; they have outstanding high-temperature strength and creep resistance. Nickel can maintain its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, which is crucial for components exposed to hot gases and extreme thermal environments. Nickel alloys provide enhanced protection against corrosion, ensuring the longevity and reliability of aircraft engines, and have better electrical conductivity and magnetic properties.
Based on the engine type - The market is segmented into turbofan, turboprop, turbojet, and turboshaft. The turbofan engine is expected to be the dominant as well as the fastest-growing segment during the forecast period. Turbofans are the preferred choice for commercial aviation. Commercial aircraft account for most of the market, which, in turn, increases the dominance of turbofan engines. Turbofans are ideal for commercial aircraft because they maintain a balance between fuel efficiency, thrust, and noise reduction. Nickel-based superalloys are selected in turbofan engines because of their ability to withstand extreme conditions. CFM (Safran/GE JV) delivered 1,136 LEAP engines (certified for A320neo, B737Max, and C919) in 2022 and has set a target to deliver 1,300 engines in 2023, all these factors are going to boost the demand for various forged engine components soon.

United Airlines is one of the largest air carriers in the United States, operating a fleet of over 1,000 aircraft and maintaining hubs worldwide. Its route network spans six continents with numerous destinations. In the 2010s, the airline began actively deploying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family, encompassing all three variants, to serve long-haul flights.
United received its first Boeing 787-8 in 2012, becoming one of the first U.S. airlines to introduce this model. The 787-8 features a three-class cabin configuration, accommodating 243 passengers. These aircraft are primarily deployed on international routes, including flights from the U.S. to Asia (e.g., Tokyo, Shanghai), Europe (London, Frankfurt), and South America. As of 2025, United operates 12 787-8 aircraft, making it one of the largest operators of this variant in the U.S. The model has replaced the aging Boeing 767-300 on select routes due to its extended range of up to 15,700 km.
The next model in the Dreamliner family, the Boeing 787-9, joined United’s fleet in 2014. This elongated variant, with a cabin capacity of 257 passengers, offers a range of up to 16,300 km. As of February 2025, United operates 44 787-9 aircraft. The model is utilized on ultra-long-haul routes, such as Chicago–Singapore and Houston–Sydney, as well as high-demand transatlantic flights (e.g., Washington–Paris). The 787-9 has been instrumental in expanding United’s route network, including new nonstop services.
The longest Dreamliner variant, the Boeing 787-10, entered United’s fleet in 2018, with a range of approximately 12,000 km. Configured with 318 seats across three classes, United operates 21 of these aircraft, deploying them on shorter but high-traffic international routes, such as New York–Tel Aviv and Los Angeles–Tokyo, replacing the Boeing 777-200 on certain sectors.
The introduction of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner has enabled United Airlines to launch over 50 new nonstop routes, including flights from its hubs in Chicago, Houston, New York, and San Francisco. Their operation has reduced fuel costs and supported both long-haul and medium-haul flights with high frequency. Thus, the Dreamliner has become a cornerstone of United’s strategy to optimize its fleet and expand its global route network, reinforcing the airline’s position in the international aviation market.
