What's some aesthetics you associate with Franz and/or the relationship w Vasily?

Hi this definitely hasn't been rotting in my inbox since December or anything

They're both opposites that match, but they have things they share. Franziska is all blues while he's all oranges and reds, watching the clouds in the sky and the sun set, playing in the snow and the old leaves, watching your breath freeze in place and the smoke rise from a bonfire. She's winters cold touch, compared to Vasily who's all warm hugs and feels like coming home to a roaring fire and hot food. While she watches the sky he details the way the grass moves in the wind, listening to the crunch of leaves underneath his boots. She's gold and he's silver, the sky and the earth, ice and fire

But they both smell like nature, Vasily's earthy tones and Franz's flowery perfumes, with hints of old paper from his sketch book and her typewriter, he smells like paint while she smells like ink. They walk together through trails in the trees, in winter or summer, and they rest in fields to soak in each other's presence while they work. They both love to use their big words to describe the things around them and their lover, everything is a story to her and everything is art to him. She's a soothing voice to accompany his soft guitar, and together they make a beautiful song. Or whatever

I’m super curious because u have some obvious GK favorite.. who are your LEAST favorite characters?

100% without a doubt b*utarou. every time that thing is treated like a major character and not the boring flop 6/10 at most minor character he is, an angel dies. i was lukewarm abt him before season 4 but since the merch ppl started cranking out merch and promo material with him with the energy theyve never spared for infinitely more interesting and relevant characters the sight of him has become headache-inducing. teasing him like he's the big new antagonist or an addition to the main trio when there is nothing about him that stands out. his themes of 'finding a home/making a home for yourself' are explored perfectly fine by sugimoto and he does nothing to elevate that, offers no interesting new perspective, i dont even find it sympathisable as his way of going about it is 'once i have enough money ill colonize some seasian nation and impregnate its locals. because im lonely and afraid of being forgotten or whatever'. he had no fun chemistry with the group nor were any of his relationships particularly meaningful, what he and shiraishi had felt extremely shallow compared to shiraishi's relationship with sugimoto, asirpa and kiroranke. all he did was smile and annoy people and swim. if he had the same amount of presence as the convicts usually have i might have liked him but nothing he does warrants the amount of screentime he had or attention he's getting.

aside from him i dislike koito and tsukishima, not rlly a fan of tanigaki either but hes funny and i tolerate him. all 3 used to be in my top 4 when i first watched the anime, but all 3 completely stagnated imo. tanigaki simply overstayed his welcome and dragged inkarmat down with him, koito and tsukishima could've been interesting but were fumbled. would like to talk abt this more but i feel like my answer is too long already 😭 i do Have Thoughts abt those three so feel free to ask. ive also been getting annoyed at how much im seeing vasily these days, like guys. that's a kantarou level character why does it feel like hes getting more fanart than shiraishi... but hes a quirky white boy with the ogata effect so the girlies obsessing over him is not rlly a surprise.
