Since the Robotnik family now lives in my head rent-free, here’s my another take on possible events.

Gerald doesn’t have the heart to say "no" to his beloved granddaughter. It’s thanks to Maria that he starts to see Shadow as a person, not just an experiment.

Shadow can't catch a break

Poor Shadow can't catch a break when it comes to being manipulated and used.

First it's heavily implied Gerald modified Shadow's mind to avenge Maria. Then the poor hog gets awakened from stasis by Eggy who wants to use him as a tool and later on convinced him he is just an Android Slave. Then some time later his stinky deadbeat alien daddy shows up after 50 years fucking around in space, just to manipulate him into conquering the earth and turning it into an all-you-can-eat buffet for the Black Arms.

There certainly was a time when Shadow was just a tiny, trusting baby-hedgehog, hanging onto big sister Maria’s every word, and her playful mischief got him into all sorts of trouble. Siblings life. One’s the bad influence, but they both end up getting yelled at.

Gerald might be grumpy, but he's a loving grandfather.

i think ive fallen for a Downtown AU concept i didnt even mean to get into.

im letting myself take a mini break from finishing these next couple pages to these comics since i found myself deep in the grind this past month with them,,, so to make sure i dont burn myself out with making them, ima do silly doodles and commissions :)) but i definitely should be updating sometime in the upcoming week-next week type deal
