One thing someone said recently is that if Type I and Type II diamonds are chemically dissimilar from each other, then that further proves how lab diamonds are the same as natural.
My point was that lab diamonds most closely align in properties to Type IIa natural diamonds. But physically, on a magnified level, they will never 100% match natural diamonds identically as a material.
Type IIa natural diamonds are rare as it is, but even if you compare a type IIa natural with a type IIa synthetic, you're going to be able to tell them apart by their growth patterns and trace elements. Both of which are considered physical and chemical differentiating characteristics, respectively.
It's important to highlight the fact that naturals and synthetics can 100% verifiably be differentiated by a lab or professional jeweler because of *scams* - not only for new buyers, but for those with heirloom diamonds worth thousands or tens or hundreds of thousands, and suddenly it can be swapped by a jeweler and suddenly your timeless relic is now a mass-produced stone worth less than a fraction of its price. Imagine how heartbreaking that could be for families involved especially for rare old mine cuts, interesting darker uncommon colors, or stones that have been passed down for generations.
In all fairness, it's important to distinguish the difference between the two stones. However, while I have compared synthetic sapphire to synthetic diamond, a lot of synthetic sapphire is easier to tell apart from natural due to the inclusions present in the usual stone. They're often brighter, clearer, and just look "fake" to the public.
With synthetic diamond, a natural already is selected for its clarity and color, so telling it apart from synthetics is much harder as a whole. Most diamond buyers go for high color and clarity, which all lab diamonds fall into. Telling them apart is harder to the observer without magnification and spectroscopy equipment, so it's easier to get scammed, swapped stones, and dupe people into thinking you spent thousand more than you did on a natural. It is a much better match than synthetic sapphire to natural sapphire, and for that reason, there's a lot more controversy surrounding it as a choice for people's forever stones.
For me personally, though, I don't like the look of bright colorless stones. The iciness has always appeared "fake" to me regardless of its true origin. Even if I were suddenly a multimillionaire from winning the lottery, I'd rather invest in large, low color diamonds or colored diamonds than a bright perfect D flawless stone. But that's just me.

The Seattle-based company came to ASCO25 with new data on its neuroendocrine tumor–treating lead therapy, with big vibes and speedy speech. It’s hard to tell if Thijs Spoor and Michael Schultz are talking fast because they are excited about their data or because they just have so much to say. The CEO and CSO/founder of Perspective Therapeutics show me multiple slides of their drug accumulating in a mouse’s tumors. “In the radiopharma business, it all comes down to area under the curve,” Spoor said over the din of the ASCO25 conference floor. He’s referring to the amount of drug that ends up actually attacking a tumor versus hitting off-target tissues. “We designed this molecule to target the tumor and stay there over the time. Other molecules go all over the body, they go from tissue to tissue.” Radiotherapies are growing rapidly in popularity. The cancer drugs deliver radioactive payloads in a more targeted way than the classic radiation therapies patients have been undergoing for decades. One of the molecules Perspective came to Chicago to present is [212Pb]VMT-α-NET, a peptide-guided lead-based therapy for treating neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The treatment works something like an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), where a protein targets a tumor cell and delivers a therapeutic agent tethered to it, in this case a dose of radioactive lead that shoots out alpha particles. Perspective is testing the drug in a Phase I/IIa trial in a small cohort of patients. “The standard of care objective response rate for NETs is about 13%,” Schultz said. “Ours is 50%.” That’s three confirmed objective responses and a fourth that needs confirmation, out of seven patients, according to the data Perspective presented at the conference. While none of the patients in the trial so far have achieved complete responses, for NETs, “just stabilizing” is an achievement from a doctor’s point of view, according to Spoor. The radiopharma business is booming as multiple big players are getting involved in the space. Novartis is leading the way with north of $2 billion combined sales from Lutathera, its lutetium-coupled drug for gastroenteropancreatic NETs, and Pluvicto, its lutetium drug for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers Squibb and others are also developing radiotherapy treatments of their own. Spoor makes sure to differentiate Perspective’s choice of element from that of Novartis. Novartis’ treatments give off beta particles while Perspective’s lead asset emits alpha particles, which are larger and therefore deliver more energy over a shorter distance. They provide a “bigger punch,” Spoor said. Spoor and Schultz’s energy is palpable. The company is building manufacturing sites in Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston. It has a proprietary chelator for removing the lead treatment after dosing and a platform for generating its treatments. “We can infinitely scale up,” Spoor said. “$200 million on the balance sheet takes us to the end of 2026 if everything goes as fast as possible,” Spoor said of the company’s runway and future plans. Even as he and Schultz describe how much better Perspective’s treatments are in comparison to the competition, they appreciate that the field is growing. “It’s exciting for me to see a field I’ve been a part of for a long time to see a surge,” said Schultz, who started the company in 2004 after working on NETs at the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine. “To be here [at ASCO] and see it being presented with such great results to such a huge community is a dream come true.” Continue at: https://www.biospace.com/drug-development/perspective-therapeutics-brings-energy-to-the-radiopharma-world

How to Choose Between TNPSC and Bank/SSC Exams: A Guide to Making the Right Career Move
When it comes to building a stable and rewarding government career in India, two popular choices often dominate the scene—TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) exams and Bank/SSC (Staff Selection Commission) exams. Both paths offer job security, growth, and respect in society, but deciding which one aligns with your goals can be a tough call.
If you're looking for a TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore, it's essential to understand what makes TNPSC different from Bank/SSC exams before making a commitment. In this post, we’ll explore key differences, career paths, and help you figure out which exam suits your aspirations.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Basics: TNPSC vs Bank/SSC Exams
What is TNPSC?
TNPSC conducts exams for various state government positions in Tamil Nadu, including Group I, II, IIA, and IV services. These posts range from Deputy Collectors to Junior Assistants in various departments.
What are Bank/SSC Exams?
Bank exams (like IBPS PO, SBI PO, and Clerk) and SSC exams (like CGL and CHSL) are conducted at the national level, offering positions in public sector banks and central government offices.
Job Profiles and Growth Opportunities
TNPSC
Tamil Nadu-specific jobs
Administrative roles with local impact
Greater involvement in policy implementation at the grassroots level
“If you are passionate about working in Tamil Nadu and directly serving the community, TNPSC offers fulfilling career options,” says K. Arun, a former Group II officer.
Bank/SSC
National-level transfers and postings
Routine administrative or clerical work
Faster initial promotions in banks compared to SSC
Those aiming to settle outside Tamil Nadu or open to all-India postings might lean toward Bank/SSC roles. However, those seeking guidance through a TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore often do so because they prefer working in their home state.
Exam Pattern and Preparation Style
TNPSC
Tamil language is mandatory
Emphasis on Tamil Nadu history, polity, and current affairs
Subjective knowledge required for higher-level posts (Group I)
Bank/SSC
All-India General Awareness
High emphasis on English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude
Speed-based online exams with negative marking
Preparation Strategy Tip: If your strength lies in state-specific subjects and Tamil language, TNPSC may be more favorable. You can find specialized training at a reputed TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore to boost your chances.
Salary and Work-Life Balance
TNPSC Jobs: Competitive salaries, especially for Group I officers. Better work-life balance for lower-level positions.
Bank Jobs: Higher starting salaries in officer posts but involve transfers and targets.
SSC Jobs: Moderate pay with central government perks, often with better stability.
Stat Snapshot: According to a 2023 TNPSC Annual Report, over 10 lakh candidates appeared for Group IV exams alone, indicating strong competition and demand.
Real-Life Comparison: Two Candidates, Two Paths
Ravi chose TNPSC, joined as a Revenue Inspector, and is now preparing for Group I with help from a TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore.
Priya cracked IBPS PO and now works with a nationalized bank, with transfers every 3 years.
Both are successful—but their goals and choices were different. Your decision should depend on where you want to work, your language comfort, and career aspirations.
How to Decide What's Right for You
Ask yourself:
Do I want to serve in Tamil Nadu or across India?
Am I comfortable with Tamil-focused subjects or do I prefer numerical/analytical sections?
Do I want a job with grassroots governance or financial administration?
If your answers align more with Tamil Nadu administration and language-based exams, consider enrolling in a TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore to get the right support.
Final Thoughts: Take the Step That Aligns With Your Vision
Choosing between TNPSC and Bank/SSC exams isn't just about the syllabus—it’s about where you see yourself five, ten, or twenty years down the line. Each has its pros and cons, but your success ultimately depends on dedication, preparation, and guidance.
If you’re leaning towards a Tamil Nadu government role and want expert mentorship, a good TNPSC coaching center in Coimbatore can be your first big step toward success.
Start exploring your options today, and make a decision that aligns with your dreams and strengths.

Choosing the Right Design Professional: A Guide towards Finding the Best Architects in Chennai
Known for its diverse culture, history, and modern infrastructure, Chennai is the capital city of the Tamil Nadu state. Whether you're planning to construct a residential building, commercial unit, or simply want to renovate an existing house, getting the best architects in Chennai will help make your dreams come true. While the most common perception of Indian architects is that they are simply involved in the aesthetic aspects of a project, the best ones have the skill sets that allow them to get involved even in the construction phase. If you’re on the lookout for the best architects in Chennai, this article will help you in your quest.
Understanding Why You Would Need the Best Architects in Chennai
Modern-day Chennai is a breathtaking blend of ancient architecture along with modern structures and complexes. Therefore, there is a lot of variation with respect to styles and approaches to construction. Knowledge of building codes in Chennai and the typical regulations of any city along with its local weather are an essential part of the best architects in Chennai. With their input and assistance, you will be able to design a structure that appeals to the eye and can also withstand the test of time. The best architects will always be able to offer unmatched talent and skills to any project whether it is a beautiful residence, an oversized commercial building, or even a green eco-friendly building.
How to Locate the Most Reliable Architects in Chennai
Finding the finest architects in Chennai can be achieved through multiple approaches. Some of the strategies are as follows:
  1. Via the Internet
Online searching is without a doubt the simplest and quickest method of identifying the top Chennai architects. Websites such as Justdial, Sulekha, and Houzz allow users to search for ‘best architects in Chennai,’ and instantly receive a list of professionals with their contact information, as well as website and portfolio links. Other social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest are also effective for use as Chennai architects display their work on such networks, and potential clients can browse through various users’ projects and get an overview of their preferred type of design.
  2. Recommendations
An individual’s revisions from previous clients can be essential in selecting an architect. If friends, family, or co-workers from Chennai have dealt with architects before, it may be worth inquiring about their experiences. Whenever a person whom you trust gives you a good recommendation, you will no doubt have greater confidence in your selection.
  3. Existing Websites and Blogs Reviews
Various websites and platforms have been designed to specifically list architects and other professionals in the field of design. Websites such as Sulekha, Houzz, and Justdial provide lists of the finest architects in Chennai along with their separate reviews, ratings, and images of previously done projects. This enables prospective clients to evaluate different architects according to their personal preferences and requirements.
4. Professional Associations
The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is one among many other professional bodies that possess directories, which include Information of Registered Architects. Engaging the services of an architect who is affiliated to these organizations ensures that you are dealing with a professional who is adequately qualified, experienced, and dedicated.
5. Social Media and Design Blogs
Design blogs and social media channels rank high among the new tools for finding the best architects in Chennai. Several Ч€иHТТГ23С'Ч€й2 designers and architectural firms actively post their works and designs, and these can be used to evaluate their inherent capabilities. So much so, that, many sophisticated designs are available on Pinterest and Instagram and they could serve as a base point for making selections.
What to Look for in the Best Architects in Chennai
Armed with some architects, consider the following in arriving at a rational decision:
1. Experience and Specialization
A reputable architect in Chennai is likely to have varying degrees of expertise as evidenced by his portfolio. He will most likely have several pieces of work under his name including but not limited to residential houses and commercial stalls, hotels’ reception areas and restaurants, and other structures. As much as it edges on fine-tuning a decision, it is critical to have an architect whose field of expertise matches to a degree your expectations. If it is your intention to construct a house, then the focus should be on the architects specializing in housing.
2. Design Style.
Architects have varying design beliefs that range from modern and minimalistic to heritage and classical. Make sure that you spend some time going through their portfolio and select an architect with a design that aligns with the vision you have in mind.
3. Client Testimonials and Reviews
Customer reviews and testimonials are an excellent source of information when trying to decipher the standard of work provided by an architect. Search for architects that have outstanding comments regarding their original ideas, ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner, and adhere to time and financial constraints.
4. Budget and Timeline
The most reputable architects in Chennai will attend to your budgetary needs without derogating on the quality of the work done. Make sure that there is proper communication of your financial limits prior to starting the work so that the architect can set logical expectations concerning the timing for the completion of the various phases of the project.
5. Communication and Collaboration
Developing a good working relationship with your architect is critical. The best architects in Chennai are willing to take your suggestions, provide you with professional inputs, and advise you appropriately throughout the entire process. In order for your project to be successful, effective communication and collaboration must be achieved.
A conclusion
Choosing the most competent architects in Chennai is paramount for every construction and renovation project. You may find an architect that suits your stylistic needs by searching the internet, asking for personal recommendations, and examining portfolios. The top architects, together with your vision, will aid you in constructing a suitable and aesthetic space while easing the burdens of construction, zoning and local laws you may be unfamiliar with. They will help you find a perfect blend between law compliances and aesthetic boundaries. With heaps of options to choose from, all you need to take is the time, ask the essential questions in order to select the ideal architect who can actualize your dreams.

A Closer Look at Chondrosarcoma: Diagnosis and Staging Process
Tumblr media
Nowadays, people suffer from different types of Bone Cancer  One of the rare types is Chondrosarcoma which primarily affects the cartilage cells. Unlike other kinds of bone cancer, chondrosarcoma grows slowly and can become aggressive in some cases.
Understanding the symptoms, diagnosis, and staging process can help you deal with such issues in advance. It is crucial to determine the most effective treatment for living a healthy life.
In this guide, we will take a closer look at the diagnosis and staging process of Chondrosarcoma. Let's begin!
What is Chondrosarcoma?
Chondrosarcoma, as the name suggests, is a tumor that originates from the cartilage-producing cells and occurs in the pelvis, thighs, and shoulder region; although it's not limited to any part, it can happen anyplace where the cartilage is present, it affects the individual mostly above 40, and more prevalent in case of a male.
Diagnosis of Chondrosarcoma
Diagnosis involves combinations of tests which we will discuss further. The process will help you to identify the tumor and its characteristics to get the best treatment for Chondrosarcoma.
Medical History and Physical Examination
The first step of diagnosis is to go through the medical history and physical examination. The specialist will get some information about your side effects, and any family background of the disease—a physical examination of the affected region, swelling, or other abnormality.
Imaging Studies
Imaging studies are one of the essential diagnoses of chondrosarcoma. It helps to see the visuals of a tumor, identify its size, and find whether it has a characteristic to spread in nearby tissues or bones.
X-rays: In the initial level typically x-ray is performed. It finds out the abnormalities in the bone structure like tumors.
MRI: This scan provides details about the soft tissues surrounding the bone. The main reason to go for an MRI is because it gives a more precise evaluation of the tumor’s extent.
CT Scan: CT Scan can provide all the details like size, location, and amount of tissue damage, which is important before treatment. It measures a tumor's relationship to nearby structures, such as blood vessels and nerves.
Bone Scan: A bone scan is mostly preferred to detect if cancer is spread to other parts of the bone or not. It is one of the significant tests if a person is diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma Treatment in India.
Biopsy
In biopsy, a sample of tissue is removed from the tumor to examine in a microscope which determines if the cells are cancerous or not. If so, what type of cancer is detected through a needle or incisional Biopsy?
Staging of Chondrosarcoma
Staging helps in understanding how far the cancer has spread within the body. It is a crucial process for finding the ideal treatment options for Chondrosarcoma. According to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) TNM system, Chondrosarcoma is staged from I to IV, which we will discuss further:
Stage I
Stage IA: The tumor in this stage is low grade which means it is less aggressive, they usually have a size of less than 8 cm. And they cannot spread to lymph nodes or any other part of your body.
Stage IB: In this stage, everything is similar to stage IA except the size of the tumor is more significant than 8 cm.
Stage II
Stage IIA: In this stage, the tumor is high-grade and less than 8 cm. And there is no spread to lymph nodes or distant organs.
Stage IIB: Here, the tumor is high-grade but larger than 8 cm and has no spread.
Stage III
In the third stage, various high-grade cancers are present in a similar bone, however they have not spread to lymph nodes or different parts of the body.
Stage IV
Stage IVA: In this stage, the growth has spread to regional lymph nodes, no matter what its size or grade.
Stage IVB: Here, the growth has spread to distant organs, like the lungs, regardless of their size or grade.

Qualified Architects in Thane: Top Tips for Finding Them
Finding the right architect for your project in Thane can be a daunting task, but it's crucial for ensuring the success of your building or renovation project. An architect not only designs the structure but also helps you navigate the complexities of construction, permits, and budget management. Here are some top tips to help you find qualified architects in Thane.
1. Define Your Project Requirements
Before you start looking for an architect, clearly define your project requirements. Consider the following:
Scope: Are you planning a new construction, renovation, or interior design?
Style: What architectural style are you aiming for? Modern, traditional, contemporary, or something else?
Budget: What is your budget for the entire project?
Timeline: What is your expected timeline for project completion?
Having a clear understanding of your project will help you communicate your needs effectively and ensure that you find an architect who aligns with your vision.
2. Utilize Online Resources
The internet is a valuable resource for finding architects. Websites like KreateCube offer directories of architects and designers with customer reviews. You can explore portfolios, read reviews, and gather contact information to start your search. Additionally, social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn often showcase architects' recent projects and client feedback, providing insight into their work and reputation.
Tumblr media
3. Seek Recommendations
Word-of-mouth recommendations are incredibly valuable. Ask friends, family, colleagues, or neighbors if they have worked with any architects they would recommend. Personal experiences can provide insight into an architect’s work ethic, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
4. Check Professional Associations
Professional associations such as the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and the Council of Architecture (COA) maintain directories of registered architects. Checking these directories can ensure that you’re considering qualified and certified professionals.
5. Review Portfolios and Past Projects
Once you’ve shortlisted a few architects, review their portfolios to get a sense of their style and expertise. Look for diversity in their work, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different project types and scales. Pay attention to:
Design aesthetics: Does their design style match your vision?
Functionality: Are their designs practical and efficient?
Innovation: Do they incorporate innovative solutions?
Material use: Do they use sustainable and high-quality materials?
6. Schedule Initial Consultations
Meeting potential architects in person or via virtual meetings can provide a better understanding of their approach and compatibility with your project. During the consultation, discuss your project in detail, including your vision, budget, timeline, and any specific requirements. Key questions to ask include:
Can you share examples of similar projects you’ve completed?
How do you handle project timelines and budgets?
What is your process for client communication and involvement?
Can you provide references from past clients?
7. Evaluate Communication and Rapport
A successful architect-client relationship relies on clear and open communication. Assess how well the architect listens to your ideas, understands your needs, and provides constructive feedback. A good rapport and mutual trust are essential for a smooth and collaborative design process.
8. Check References and Reviews
Contact references provided by the architect and read online reviews to gain insights into their professionalism, reliability, and ability to deliver on promises. Speaking to past clients can provide valuable feedback on the architect’s work quality, adherence to timelines, and problem-solving skills.
9. Consider Cost and Contract Terms
Discuss fees and contract terms upfront to avoid any surprises later. Architects may charge based on a percentage of the project cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate. Ensure that you understand what is included in their services and any additional costs that may arise. Reviewing the contract carefully will help protect your interests and set clear expectations.
10. Trust Your Instincts
Ultimately, trust your instincts when making the final decision. Choose an architect who not only has the right skills and experience but also feels like the right fit for you and your project. Your comfort and confidence in their abilities will contribute to a successful and enjoyable design journey.
Conclusion
Finding the best architect in Thane requires thorough research, careful consideration, and clear communication. By following these tips, you can identify an architect who will bring your vision to life with creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Whether you’re embarking on a small renovation or a large-scale construction project, the right architect will be your partner in creating a space that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.

Prostate Cancer- Stages: PART 1
When cells in the prostate gland begin to grow out of control, prostate cancer develops. Only males have a gland called the prostate. It produces a portion of the fluid that makes up semen. The prostate is located in front of the rectum, which is the last part of the intestines. It is below the bladder, which is a hollow organ that stores urine. Doctors use diagnostic tests to find out the cancer's stage, so staging may not be complete until all of the tests are finished.
There are 2 types of staging for prostate cancer:
Clinical staging:  This is based on the Gleason score, the results of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, and a digital rectal exam (DRE). For more information, see the section below titled "Gleason score for grading prostate cancer." The outcomes of these tests will assist in determining whether additional imaging procedures such as x-rays, bone scans, computed tomography (CT) scans, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are required. If scans are required, they can provide the doctor with additional information to determine the clinical stage.
Pathologic staging: This is based on information discovered during surgery and the pathology, also known as the laboratory results of the prostate tissue removed during surgery. Most of the time, the surgery involves getting rid of the entire prostate and some lymph nodes. Pathologic staging can get more information from examining the removed lymph nodes.
Stage groups for prostate cancer
Doctors combine the T, N, and M information to say what stage the cancer is. Staging also includes the PSA level (see Screening) and Gleason score.
Stage I: In this early stage, cancer typically grows slowly. The tumor is so small that it cannot be felt and only covers half of one side of the prostate or less. The PSA level is low. The cancer cells appear to be normal cells.
Stage II: The tumor is found only in the prostate. PSA levels are medium or low. Stage II prostate cancer is small but may have an increasing risk of growing and spreading.
Stage IIA: The tumor is so small that it cannot be felt and only covers half of one side of the prostate. The cancer cells are well differentiated and PSA levels are medium. As long as the cancer cells are still well differentiated, this stage also includes larger tumors that are only found in the prostate.
IIB Stage: Only inside the prostate can be found the tumor, which may be large enough to feel during a DRE. The PSA score is moderate. The differentiation of the cancer cells is only moderate.
IIC Stage: Only inside the prostate can be found the tumor, which may be large enough to feel during a DRE. The PSA score is moderate. It's possible that the cancer cells are moderately or poorly differentiated.
Stage IIIA: The cancer has spread beyond the outer layer of the prostate into nearby tissues. It may also have spread to the seminal vesicles. The PSA level is high.
Stage IIIB: The tumor has grown outside of the prostate gland and may have invaded nearby structures, such as the bladder or rectum.
Stage IIIC: The cancer cells across the tumor are poorly differentiated, meaning they look very different from healthy cells.
Stage IV: The cancer has spread beyond the prostate.
Stage IVA: The cancer has spread to the regional lymph nodes.
Stage IVB: The cancer has spread to distant lymph nodes, other parts of the body, or to the bones.
Recurrent: Cancer that has returned despite treatment is referred to as recurrent prostate cancer. It could return to the prostate or to other parts of the body. A second set of tests will be performed to determine the extent of the cancer's recurrence if it occurs. Frequently, these scans and tests are comparable to the initial diagnosis.

Mammography and Breast Cancer: Saving lives. Why Digital Mammography is better?
Female Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in India accounting for 13.5% of new cancer cases every year and 10% of cancer related deaths in India.
In India – one of 60 women get breast cancer in rural areas. One in 28 women get breast cancer in urban areas.
In USA – one of 8 women get breast cancer.
Why Mammography?
30% cases of breast cancer are detected in early stage in India.
70% cases of breast cancer in developed countries are detected in early stage.
This is because:
We in India do not have a Breast cancer screening program.
Non-participation of women in any such program which may exist time to time because of unawareness, lack of access to healthcare facilities like Mammography and socio-cultural attitude.
Unlike cervical cancer, breast cancer screening is a bigger problem because when symptoms related to cervical cancer are there, they visit their local gynecologist and an opportunistic cancer screening takes place where the doctor orders for a PAP smear. Also, since early stages of breast cancer are usually a painless lump, women usually ignore and the major obstacle being the taboo of not discussing breast cancer topic openly and the doctrine of fate.
Until now organized breast cancer screening is limited to CBE (clinical breast examination) and SBE (self-breast examination) which has been found to be reasonable and feasible approach for a country like India with involvement of the community health worker / ASHA work-force.
This may be simple approach but there is a glitz here. Usually by palpation a breast tumor can only be detected when it is nearly more than 2 cms and the cancer stage goes up to IIA to IIB and treatment changes. But by mammography we plan to detect cancer at stage 1A or IB and that is our goal and only in that sense will beat our statistics of 70 percent breast cancers being detected late.
Mammography is a medical imaging technology using low energy x-rays to produce detailed images of breast tissue. Two types of Mammography:
Screening Mammography
Diagnostic Mammography
Why Digital Mammography is better?
Clearer images.
Earlier detection of breast cancers.
Less painful than traditional mammograms.
Fewer false positive recalls and biopsies.
2 mms – Smallest cancer found by Digital mammograms.
14 mms – Average size cancer found by regular mammograms.
22 mms – Average size lump you might feel by chance.
Statistics have shown that for every 1000 women who have undergone screening mammogram:
100 will return for additional mammogram or ultrasound due to something seen in the initial mammogram.
60 will have additional imaging and find nothing is wrong.
20 will fine that there is no cancer and will be asked to be on 6 months follow up.
20 will require needle biopsy.
5 will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
All women above 40 years should get annual mammograms.
Mammography can lower the risk of breast cancer by 40%
1 in 6 breast cancers occur in women between 40 – 50 years.
A study showed that 70% of women who died from breast cancer were not screened.
Remember – 75% of women with breast cancer have NO family history or other risk factors.
Early detection significantly improves breast cancer survival, reducing the risk of dying of breast cancer by 40%.
When breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is almost 100%. Therefore, mammography can detect cancer early when it is most treatable.
Even for women 50 +, skipping a mammogram every year would miss up to 30% of cancer.
Remind your mother, sister or daughter to schedule an annual mammogram and also take the time for yourself. Save a life.
With our latest Digital Mammography, North East Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Jorabat, Guwahati providing High-resolution images for more accurate and reliable Detection of Breast Cancer at an early stage.
The best prevention is early detection.Let us be aware, take action and fight Breast Cancer.

Note
Can you make a guide for getting discharged from active duty?
To get removed from the field at the end of the game, you need Agency Assessment of 40 or less by the time you speak to the Director in Chapter 8. There's a lot of ways to affect that stat, but major things to look out for:
Helping Vicki with her investigation and getting the Expose stat high enough (65+) that the article she writes is a success. Since the IIA wanted to keep things quiet, this will cause a drop in Assessment.
Obviously, not carrying out the order they give you with regards to Faustus causes a drop. Him escaping gives a larger drop than you killing him. However, if you kill him, then when talking with 313 in Chapter 8 you get a chance to salvage some Assessment - but if you're looking to drop the stat, you can purposely fail one of these checks:
Tumblr media
Getting Angel to leave the research files gives a boost in Assessment. However, there's no Assessment drop associated with this one (since if you don't get the scene at all no one knows about the files, and 180 keeps it a secret if they let Angel escape with the files). Bear in mind though, any other option literally involves handing over mind-control tech to a supervillain :D
Trying and failing to talk some sense in Hercules in his office in Chapter 7 gives an Assessment drop.
Amazingly, setting fire to the Hanson labs doesn't affect Assessment one way or the other. Ends justify the means, I guess. However, exploding the lab in Chapter 6 causes a drop (if you don't activate the bomb on the way in, you can activate it by trying and failing to disarm it)
Failing to get any clues from Atkinson's apartment in Chapter 3 gives a small drop. The options are talking to neighbours (suave), careful inspection (cunning) or checking devices (tech), so if you go for one with your lowest stat you should get no clues

Kolkata has been a linear city with outstanding architecture spanning across the vintage city. India harbors one of the world’s most vintage features and truly, we the citizens being a part of this age-old culture have a lot to thank the British Empire for. They built these buildings to make India a dreamland with spectacular colonial architecture.
Kolkata is considered to be the vintage city of the country, just the right mixture of old and retro with modernity. The city has a unique position of having the largest depository of colonial heritage in the country. Kolkata has managed to retain most of its colonial structures among the other cities or countries that have been under the British colonial rule. However, the huge wave of development and technology has us, humans wanting to change the very essence of such a city. Remarkable heritage buildings are getting demolished to pave the way for skyscrapers and high-rise buildings.
Often people have joined protests and petitions, raising voices against such atrocities. Newspapers, websites used to be sprayed with news of these protests but however, the magnitude of recognition of this issue has lowered down over the years. Most people have a faint idea, that Kolkata is slowly losing out on its vintage culture, but nobody seems to do anything about it. Organizations upholding heritage maintenance in the society have been on the lookout for any wrong doings over the years but even sometimes, they fail against high orders.
Tumblr media
Caption: The High Court of Kolkata is the oldest High Court and is a great example of colonial architecture.
To mark this statement, there have been few buildings stated for easier understanding. The Metropolitan building, old Kenilworth Hotel and the home of Sanskrit scholar, Gurupada Halder are some of the examples why one can state that, heritage buildings have lost their value.
With the involvement of powerful and well-known people, such practices are easier to take place, leaving very less space for prevention. It often becomes a scandal, and high post officers simply refuse to comment on an issue which may cost their job and reputation altogether. It has been alleged that officials in the Kolkata Government have taken to bribery, accounting in permitting the construction of high-rise buildings in the city. Several media organisations had published news and there were various stories of such incidents floating around the society which further angered city conservationists and activists.
Following details from the Project Management Unit (PMU) in Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), retired Subhrata Sil who was earlier the head of the unit, said that such matters are often scandalous, and allegations against the Government about bribery and malicious intent weren’t true. “There were huge riots and protests within which many people didn’t know the main issue but just came to join the huge march. The government is not be blamed for this and we have no further say in this matter,” Sil said hesitantly.
“There are specific requirements for a heritage building to be established as one. One cannot just go naming one building as a heritage one, neither all old buildings should have a tag hanged on them,” said Partha Samanta, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Project Management Unit at KMC.
The listing and gradation sheet is decided by the Heritage Conservation committee and other heritage organisations like INTACH and it is really up to them whether to list an old, dilapidated building as a heritage site with no value or shift the status of a building, for example: from Grade I to Grade II.

CHAPTER 1
                                    Old Kenilworth Hotel
a breakdown of culture over the ages
Situated near the junction of Middleton Street and Little Russell Street, the old Kenilworth Hotel was the historical silhouette of heritage architecture in the city. However, being the second-oldest hotel in Kolkata, it’s condition started deteriorating and part of the building had already started to crumble down, the garden was unkempt as well.
Tumblr media
Caption: The Old Kenilworth Hotel was an age-old hotel that was listed as a Grade II heritage building by INTACH and the Heritage Conservation Committee. (Source of image: Times of India)
This paved the way for Alcove Reality-one of the prominent developers in the city to go after this plot of land. There were two segments in this plot, one which was already sold off to Alcove a decade earlier, resulting in the construction of The 42, a high premium property in the city. Another one was the construction of a similar premium property of 35-floors building, but the only problem that stood in the way was that, old Kenilworth Hotel was stated as a Grade IIA building and it couldn’t be demolished.
Few months later, residents in the neighboring areas woke up one morning only to find that the old hotel was being demolished to pave way for the construction of the premium high-riser. This gave rise to anger and protests all around the city.
People were enraged by this atrocity and authorities from several heritage organizations like INTACH, Heritage Conservation Committee were quick to find out about how this Grade II listed building could be demolished easily.
Tumblr media
Caption: The 42 and an adjoining premium condominium was built in the plot that was bought by Alcove Reality where the old Kenilworth Hotel once stood.
Alcove Reality was quick to answer about this whole issue that, government had itself given the permission to break down the heritage property since it was stated as Grade III heritage building from Grade IIA status.
“Around August-September 2016, we applied for conversion for Grade II to Grade III. The conversion happened around February-March 2017. It was cleared in the month. Thereafter, it went to Project Management Unit (PMU) in charge of heritage. They took six months to give the go ahead with a rider that we inform the director general of building department before demolishing it. We moved DG building in November. We started demolition after getting its nod,” said Amar Nath Shroff, chairman of Alcove Realty, one of the developers in the consortium, as reported by the Times of India.
Tumblr media

A Grade III status would mean that the heritage site has no heritage value and thus needs no maintenance.

However, this is not to be confused with the New Kenilworth Hotel which was also a newly constructed heritage building, but this is entirely a private property so the government or any real estate developer will have no part in it.
CHAPTER 2
                          Guidelines for listing and grading
                                     heritage buildings
The Heritage Conservation Committee (HCC) and Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) are one of the important organisations that organises and maintains the heritage buildings in India. Understanding the position of INTACH and other such organisations in the Indian community is very important to understand the hard work and dedication of these organisations towards preserving India’s golden, heritage architecture.
Founded in 1984 in New Delhi, INTACH led on with the vision to create a membership organisation to stimulate and spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India. Since then, INTACH has pioneered the conservation and protection of India's natural and cultural heritage and is today the largest membership organisation in the country dedicated to conservation of heritage buildings.
youtube
Caption: The Convenor of INTACH, West Bengal tells us about his organization.
Over the years, INTACH has taken up restoration and protection of hundreds of monuments that fall outside the coverage of Archaeological Survey of India and other government agencies, and at times local authorities’ hand over the upkeep and restoration of heritage structures to INTACH directly.
The guidelines set by them are followed and known by every official in the project Management Unit in the government. Here are the exact guidelines set by INTACH to classify a structure as a heritage building:
GRADE
•  Archaeological: A/B/C
•  Architectural: A/B/C
•  Historical: A/B/C
•  Associational: A/B/C
•  Social/Cultural: A/B/C
•  Final Grading: I*/I/IIA/IIB/III
The grade assigned to a building/ property will depend on:
A.   Age
B.   State of Preservation
C.  Archaeological, Historical and Architectural Value
GRADE
Grade I*:    This category comprises buildings and precincts of national and historic importance and are under the protection of the ASI or State Department of Archaeology.
Grade I:    Buildings/ properties in this category are of exceptional national/ regional importance with unique features and are the prime landmarks of a city/ town. These buildings need to be kept under permanent state of preservation, and can be recommended for protection. Interventions in such structures are to be closely monitored.
Grade II:   This category comprises buildings of local importance, possessing special architectural or historical value. These buildings form local landmarks contributing to the image and identity of the city.
Grade III:   This category comprises buildings/ precincts, which normally do not qualify for permanent retention, but are nevertheless of some historical or architectural importance and contribute to determining the character of the locality.
The grading criteria for all the buildings was reviewed keeping in mind the architectural integrity, historical integrity and present condition of the sites. A thorough survey was undertaken for recording the architectural description, styles, construction methodology and condition assessment and an uniform criteria for grading was generated keeping in mind the city level value of the building, its importance in the urban setting apart from its individual architectural and historical merit.
“Heritage buildings cannot be broken down nor be renovated unless the permission to do so has been carefully processed by the government. If any part of it breaks or crumbles down, only then it is allowed to be repaired, remembering the heritage nature,” said by an official in the government who wished to remain anonymous.
She further explains about the situation the following audio.
youtube
CHAPTER 3
The Grand building lost its touch
The Metropolitan building stands tall at the junction of one of the busiest places in Kolkata, the Chowringhee Road. Once a famous department store named Whiteaways (Whiteaway Laidlaw & Co), is now owned by LIC and has a golden tint of colour to it. It also houses a big store of Big Bazar on the ground floor. People in the city reminisce that the building had a grand white glow to it initially, but now it has been painted a different colour, losing its once, original cultural nature.
Tumblr media
Caption: The Metropolitan Building is stands tall at the junction of one the busiest places in Central Kolkata.
After the 1991 fire mishap, the building went under renovation in 2003 by LIC but however, the interiors weren’t fixed properly resulting in cement peel off, huge cracks on the walls, the new walls’ plastering was peeling off etc. The Italian marble flooring was also removed for no reason. It seemed as if the building would break down in a ghastly manner very soon.
In 2010, the building was then repainted. People questioned the decision because the heritage site was always shaded a pristine white but this time, the cupolas’ were painted a shade of gold which were a complete mismatch, compared to the previous colour. However, it was renovated in such a way that the building lost its value. The newly constructed heritage building did not match its old features. As a result, this caused an uproot among the city conservationists. One cannot just create another version of a heritage building right?
youtube
Caption: A quick snapshot of the Metropolitan Building.
As mentioned by Telegraph Online, the Heriatge Conservation Committee of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation could not change this from happening because no structural change has been made. There is no law against the owners turning a beautiful building ugly.
CHAPTER 4
A fight amongst million other dreams
The ancestral home of Sanskrit scholar, Gurupada Halder was found being demolished by a group of men who belonged to a developer’s company until, Priyojit Halder, the descendent of the scholar intervened strongly. Mr. Priyojit Haldar narrates his story by introducing his ancestral home.
https://youtu.be/OmC5oEzXIms
Caption: The ancestral home of Sanskrit scholar Gurupada Haldar was demolished by several goons sent in by a real estate developer’s company, so that they can possess the house even if means going against the lower court’s order.
With other family members who were eager to sell out the property, Priyojit Halder was left standing on his own, fighting against such people who wanted to sell off this land desperately for a large sum of money. The only obstacle here was that, the ancestral home of the scholar wasn’t identified as a heritage property and so, Mr. Halder sought the help of media to spread awareness of this issue, after the home was demolished by goons sent by real estate developers.
According to the descendent, the home has all the characteristics required for a site to be identified as a heritage property but it hasn’t been done yet.
Tumblr media
Caption: An aerial view of the entire house that was demolished
Tumblr media
Caption: The Italian marble tiles inside the house were disrupted drastically
Mr. Haldar further states that he had issued a letter to the West Bengal Heritage Commission on September 22, 2018 requesting them to give a heritage tag to the premises of 47, Gurupada Haldar road, “A letter was sent to me by the Chairman of the West Bengal Heritage Commission saying that they are considering the proposal. In the meantime, I was told to furnish some more documents, relating to the architectural and historical significance of this set-dwelling of this house.” A pictorial evidence of the letter was also shown.
He hasn’t received a letter from the commission after that.
https://youtu.be/9sOlh-R0kxk
Caption: This video voices the entire situation that Mr. Haldar has been going through.
However, Advocate Rahul Karmakar who represented Mr. Haldar in court entirely disagrees with the petitioner’s case after the case has been moved to the High Court. “That building can hardly be considered as a heritage property now. It is being forcefully mentioned as a supposedly heritage structure, although there is no structure remaining right now at this point of time. Even if it had been a heritage building, it’s impossible to claim it as one now.”
He further firmly states that the entire situation has been falsely propagated to gain publicity. “There was no as such court order by the government which stated that the building could not be demolished. The entire story is falsely propagated.”
Mr. Haldar’s case is one amongst a million other cases where people have been cheated on, but are still fighting for their dream to finally have their voice heard and achieve justice.
                              Conclusion of the project
The purpose of this project is to highlight the entire ongoing situation and the reason behind why such buildings and their ethnicity have been destroyed over the years.
Several other similar cases prove that this is a very serious issue that has been prevailing in Kolkata and in the other parts of the country. However, this issue has not received much recognition among the people as most of them have been unaware that, heritage buildings keep getting demolished or are renovated in a manner, favourable to the modern picturesque.
High-rise buildings and skyscrapers adorn every city nowadays, but at the expense of demolishing old, heritage buildings of magnificent architecture.
An old building’s value is evaluated on the basis of its architecture and historical value. If the world will alter that, most of the historical architecture will be lost. The media has the power to express the world and its people’s opinions. Many people are fighting for such buildings to be recognised as a heritage architecture and thus, save them from being demolished.
“My eyes have seen the beautiful buildings in Kolkata when I was younger. It’s a shame we can’t see them anymore because young people only go for modernity. Why doesn’t everyone recognise the beauty of these vintage buildings?,” says Subhash Das, a 98-year old resident of South Kolkata.

the grandmaster of demonic interior design or mound squatting & a smitten renovator

Ie.
Wei Wuxian panics.
“Lan Zhan!” He softly prods Lan Wangji’s cheek with his finger. “Lan Zhan! Are you okay? What happened?” Lan Wangji’s skin is hot under his touch and it hits him. “Are you drunk? Lan Zhan-ah, Lan Zhan-ah, it must have been hard on you today. Thank you for keeping troublesome me company. But you really do have to warn me before passing out like this.”
After checking Lan Wangji’s vitals he almost cries laughing, unsure about what to do next. His fingers now rest on Lan Wangji’s cheek, his thumb drawing soothing circles.
The film crew has left him, the squatters have scattered and he is stranded in this town he never really intended staying in with the Hanguang-Jun, passed out drunk.
Most likely the footage they have will never get aired in fear of the Wen clan pressing charges for trespassing and the bombardment of cease-and-desist-orders they might unleash.
Just then he starts to feel sorry for everyone involved Lan Wangji’s phone rings. Whoever is calling is quite persistent so he fishes the phone out of Lan Wangji’s pocket and takes the call.
Lan Xichen has already heard about the incident on Burial Mound. If he’s surprised that Wei Wuxian picked up the call he masks it well. After assuring him that Lan Wangji is fine, just incapacitated, they exchange some small-talk. He promises Lan Xichen that he will look after his brother and somehow that is enough for him to leave Lan Wangji in his care without further questions. Weirdly stumped by the progression of things he hangs up, not able to recall what else their conversation was about.
He wants to return Lan Wangji’s phone when the background picture catches his eye.
A dark and a white bunny are snuggling in the lap of someone wearing the traditional white Lan sect garments, the edge of a Guqin visible in a corner. Wei Wuxian is hit with a sudden feeling of deep fondness and silent realisation nagging at the back of his mind.
He pays for the drinks, pushes the still passed out Lan Wangji onto his back and stumbles into the street.
Despite having held out on Burial Mound for quite some time, he’s actually not that familiar with the town itself, nor does he have any clue where Lan Wangji’s hotel might be. Lan Xichen might have told him on the phone. Well, that’s not of any help then.
He hoists Lan Wangji higher, heart beating faster when his head drops onto his shoulder. With his free hand he thumbs over his display in deep thought. MianMian should be in Yiling, shouldn’t she?! He opens up their chat and texts a ridiculously desperate sounding message, begging for a place to stay. Before he can switch his screen off her reply appears in the left corner.
MianMian > *9582 <
Followed by an address in the city. “No!” He hears Lan Zhan mumble against his ear. “Lan Zhan! You are awake! Come tell me the name of your hotel!” MianMian’s apartment surely’d be nice, but hotel beds are a thing. Also sharing a hotel bed with Lan Wangji is a possible thing. “No!” Lan Wangji says again.
MianMian > That’s the pin for the 🚪! Am away on business 🌈💪!Help                    yourself!💕<
It gets more and more exhausting dealing with Lan Wangji on his back, who now for some reason is trying to reach for Wei Wuxian’s phone. “Stop it! Just tell me where you stay Lan Zhan!” He can’t help it if it comes out whiny. “I stay with Wei Ying.”
Oh.Oh! He didn’t even consider bringing Lan Wangji back to the hotel and staying at MianMian’s by himself. Oh.
“Lan Zhan! Let us at least get your things, or you will be very embarrassed when you wake up and have no change. Please tell me where your hotel is, yes?” Despite MianMian’s offer, the hotel bed still sounds very soft and nice. “No. I stay with Wei Ying.” Wei Wuxian sighs. “Do you like MianMian?” Lan Wangji sounds like he’s tearing up. Wei Wuxian sighs again, fondly.
He quickly texts MianMian, now balancing a very sad second young master of Lan on his back.
                                                                      > Is there room for two.                       drunk! half of the lan twin jades is with me. dont’t ask. < YuanDao
MianMian > 👀< MianMian > only one 🛏< MianMian > ... <
                                                                          > Thanks! I owe you! < YuanDao
MianMian > you already do. don’t get the precious ✋✨jun killed. <
He knows that she tortures him on purpose with the emojis but retaliation has to wait.
Luckily Lan Wangji gets easier to handle once he puts his phone away. He looks almost cute when Wei Wuxian flags down a taxi and gives the driver MianMian’s address, which makes Lan Wangji’s face light up.
Once they are in the small but tidy apartment, he lowers Lan Wangji down onto the carpet and plops down next to him, exhausted from the walk.
Under the harsh overhead light, he feels like he’s waking up from a dream.
“It’s always like that you know,” he tells a solemn Lan Wangji, who’s head is swaying into the direction of his shoulder. “I get attached. And then I let go.” Surprisingly Lan Wangji seems to have found his voice again. “Don’t you get lost?” Wei Wuxian shivers. “It’s a bit disorientating, for sure.” Lan Wangji turns to look at him, like he wants to anchor Wei Wuxian, help him stay fixed at his side. He fails moments later when his eyes become unfocused. It is very endearing.
Later, after drinking some water and refreshing themselves Wei Wuxian starts to feel better.
There is no need to feel so weighed down when there’s Lan Wangji by his side. Pretty and immaculate Lan Wangji. He chokes on a laugh when he comes across the scene in the bedroom. The pretty and immaculate Lan Wangi is currently levelling a stare at his sash, still too intoxicated to will his fingers to untie it. “Lan Zhan, let me,” he offers softly and Lan Wangji obediently moves his hands out of the way, looking at him expectantly. The outer robes are removed easily enough, he doesn’t dare to undress him more than that, only pulling out the hairpiece to make it easier to lie down. It feels surprisingly heavy in his hand.
When he looks up Lan Wangji has fallen asleep. The clock on the bedside table reads 21:01. He snickers, silently leaving the room.
Their robes reek of smoke and dead soil. Wei Wuxian strips down to his shirt and underwear, putting the rest inside the washing machine.
It takes him some time to find the right setting, hoping that Lan Wangji’s robe won’t get too damaged.
Finally finding a minute to breathe he’s confronted with a whole other dilemma.
Thinking about lying next to Lan Wangji in bed had felt so natural, but now he’s unsure whether to follow through.
It suddenly feels rude to just sneak under the covers without permission. Shamelessness was usually his strong point, so what made him hesitate now? There’s only one bed, it’s not that he has a choice. And Lan Wangji had insisted to come with him. Leaving without him had been no option anyways.
He gets startled by a noise at the entrance. Sticking out his head from the bathroom he finds Lan Wangji rearranging their boots, putting them in a neat line, toes pointing towards the door. Wei Wuxian’s body shakes with silent laughter. He really wouldn’t want to miss Lan Wangji at his side. Especially when he’s like this.
“Lan Zhan?” He tries calling out. “Hm.” Oh, he’s sober again. “Lan Zhan, how are you feeling? Why don’t you sleep some more?” Lan Wangji just stands there in the narrow hallway, looking a little bit forlorn in just his undergarment. He lifts his head to meet his eyes, the amber hardening in determination. “Will Wei Ying sleep as well?” “Sure! I can’t leave you unsupervised, not when you just passed out in public.” He tries to lighten the mood, but the flirtatious jokes taste stale on his tongue. But somehow Lan Wangji understands, his gaze softens as he beckons Wei Wuxian back into the bedroom.
He throws himself onto the bed and hears the light switch click, the small lamp on the bedside table being the only thing left to illuminate the room. A small haven of light. Lan Wangji follows, sitting gingerly down on the edge and turning to look at him.
He props his head onto his crossed arms, searching for the right words. “Lan Zhan...I...thank you.” Lan Wangji’s posture stiffens and Wei Wuxian springs up, urgency written across his face. “Sorry, I’d thought. I....no one...I never wanted to tell someone so much about my projects – and you listen to me! – even when you ignored me in school.”
He’s now sitting next to Lan Wangji one leg dangling off the edge.
“Always listened to you.” “What?” “I – always listen – to what you say. Now. Back then.” “Huh.” It is really too easy for Lan Wangji to make him speechless. “But, I mean...I really want to be around you, to have you with me and have you show me your world. Like I did with mine. And if you’d want that then...”
A finger brushing the bangs out of his face stops him mid-rambling.
“You. Want to be around me?” Lan Wangji sighs the words in tentative relief, a smile on his lips.
He carefully moves closer. Lan Wangji doesn’t pull back. Soft light bathing his face in warmth. Wei Wuxian holds onto his robes, feeling Lan Wangji’s hands close around his.
Their lips meet in a soft kiss.
He’s so overcome with joy, he feels like he might burst. He wants to pull away, to place more kisses on Lan Wangji. The tips of his ear, his neck, anywhere he can reach.
But Lan Wangji’s other hand moves behind his head, holding him firmly into place, fingers getting tangled in his hair.
Wei Wuxian smiles against his lips, desperately clinging onto him.
Lan Wangji is there to ground him, intently pulling him close and letting them both fall onto the bed.
He wakes up to Lan Wangji calling his name.
It is way too early, whatever Lan Wangji is saying, his brain doesn’t compute, so he settles on inspecting Lan Wangji’s face between yawns.
“Wei Ying.” He gets called softly and doesn’t know what to do about it.
Rolling onto his other side he reaches for his mobile phone, checking the messages that have been piling up overnight.
Lan Wangji lies completely still besides him.
Grandmother Wen has sent him a couple of reassuring and warm-hearted messages and Wei Wuxian is relieved to know that they all found temporary places to stay at. The last thing she sent is a short voice message, so he opens it. Ah-Yuan’s cheery voice gets blasted through the room.
“I hope Xian-Gege is alright! Tell Ah-Die that granny invites him to dinner! He was so cool yesterday, I was flying with him, Xian-Gege!”
Lan Wangji stills even more, stumped by the message. Wei Wuxian finally shakes off his worries and rolls around laughing. “Congratulations, you are a dad now!” There is still no reaction from Lan Wangji.
Still laughing he scrolls through his feed, slowly remembering yesterday’s frustration. It looks like no one is talking about the Burial Mound incident, just some people demanding to see Wen Ning again, and Lan Wangji seems to have been really too drunk to remember anything.
His thumb swipes faster, irritation building up inside of him.
Lan Wangji suddenly sits up, startling him.
“I can make them broadcast yesterday’s footage. If you want me to.” Wei Wuxian decides it is finally time to meet Lan Wangji’s eyes, even if it’s only to try and discern what is going on in his mind. “I will talk to my brother about it.” Wei Wuxian sits up on the bed as well. “I really don’t want the crew to get sued.” “They won’t, –” Lan Wangji looks genuine– “and the law firm can handle the rest.” “You would do that?” There is it again, yesterday’s silly happiness making him feel giddy. Lan Wangji gives him an insistent nod. “It is a good cause.” “You will be made an outsider if your name gets tangled up in this. Don’t you have a scholarship to protect?” “Not that important.”
He affectionately strokes his cheek, and Wei Wuxian knows that he remembers.
That he still feels sure of...whatever they are.
Lan Wangji will make the broadcast happen, not only for him but for the community and for the cause.
Filled with so much love and hope Wei Wuxian excitedly flops around on the bed. “I could use some of the footage I took in the chaos and upload it as a preview on my site to draw attention!”
Lan Wangji looks approvingly.
He loves it when Lan Wangji looks approvingly.
Catching Lan Wangji in a boisterous hug he peppers his face with soft kisses, and he can feel Lan Wangji smiling before he is pulled into his lap.

Are you looking for a way to reduce stress and anxiety?
A Way to Reduce Stress and Anxiety Using CES Device
CES, or cranial electrotherapy stimulation, is a type of non-invasive neuromodulation treatment. It uses electrodes that are placed on the earlobes or mastoids to deliver gentle electrical currents through the brain. Various studies have shown it to be effective in treating anxiety and sleep disorders. CES may also help people to refrain from smoking and unhealthy habits.
CES devices are cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, it is not approved as a primary medical therapy. Consequently, it is not recommended for patients with implanted pacemakers or those undergoing surgery. Rather, it is used in conjunction with therapy.
One study examined a one-hour daily dose of CES. It included 115 patients with a primary anxiety disorder. The results showed that CES significantly reduced depression compared to a sham device. Another study examined a single treatment with auricular electrostimulation for pain.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a common symptom of many mental health conditions. It can cause increased heart rate, sweating, and difficulty concentrating. Medications are often prescribed to treat these symptoms.
Anxiety disorders can interfere with a person's ability to enjoy life. They can make it difficult to relax, concentrate, and sleep. It is also associated with hyperventilation. CES can be used to help people manage their symptoms without medication.
The most commonly used CES device in the United States is the Alpha-Stim. In 2012, it was CE marked as a class IIa medical device.
Several other devices are available. Some place electrodes on the frontal scalp, behind the ears, or over the mastoid processes. Others, such as P-Stim, involve ambulatory auricular electrostimulation over a number of days.
