#Ghost in the Machine {GV900}

Shadow is currently asleep on the couch. Silver was on him but it seems he made his way down. Crawling off towards the android before plopping down in front of him. Looking up with those big eyes before reaching up. He might think he’s Elijah with how he’s staring up at him.

But he overall looks really happy to see him. Despite Gavin being more of a stranger.

He usually stayed as far away from Shadow as he could, not wanting to risk a fight or something, but he found himself keeping a distant eye on the baby...not that he could rush in and help in anyway should something happen.

He was hanging out at the kitchen table, something he did often as a human when he came to visit his brother. Thirium in his coffee tumblr, so he didn't have to think too much about drinking what was essentially android blood.

"Hm?" He caught movement from the corner of his eye, looking down at the tiny hedgehog. This...was the closest he had actually been to the baby, and he had to look around to see where Shadow was...last thing he wanted was to get bitten or something. "Well, you look happy to see me at least" He chuckled, unable to stop the corners of his lips from quirking up in a slight smile. "Or, you think I'm Elijah..." Him and his brother did have similar features so that made more sense to him. As much as he didn't want to get yelled at or bitten...he seen the baby reaching towards him, and let out a sigh. "If I get bitten it's your fault" He mumbled, before he leaned down to gently pick Silver up, holding him close to his chest.

He's still for a few moments longer, before his grey eyes fluttered open again, his LED flickering in his confusion. He looked around, a bit concerned how he ended up in the kitchen. "Oh, Elijah...I don't know how I ended up in here. I was looking around the house when I went into sleep mode I guess." He had registered something in his hand, he lifted it to find a coffee mug of all things in his grasp...one with a cat pattern all over it. Carefully he held it out for Elijah to take it from him. "I don't know why I had that..." His LED shifted to red, a bit worried something was wrong with his system.

GV was standing awkwardly in the kitchen, his hood pulled up over his head. He didn't answer when spoken to, nor did he move. When Elijah gets closer...he can hear the soft whir of his cooling system...he had fallen into sleep mode on his feet. His LED glowing softly inside the hood as he slept.

[I may have nodded off while sitting up in bed thanks to my meds, so have an Eepy GV]

Elijah gently tugs the hood off of GV's head. He looks him over curiously wondering when he would have idled long enough to sleep like this. His hands cradle the android's face, gently squishing his cheeks. "GV?"

He's crouched down with his hood pulled up to obscure his face, a little ways off the road. His hands and jacket slightly dirty from where he had been messing around with the ground. In front of him was a small mound of dirt, like something was recently buried there. His face is hidden but its obvious he's not doing well, with the faint red glow coming from under that hood.

GV would hear the sound of very harsh coughing coming from Elijah's room. A moment later there was a thump of something roughly Elijah's size landing on the floor followed by a short frustrated string of cursing in what sounded like Polish.

The androids LED flickered for a moment once he heard the coughing. The human had come down with something, and he had finally convinced him to lay down at the very least.

That LED quickly changed to red when he heard the thump, quickly making his way into the humans room. "Are you alright, Elijah?" His system had picked up the change in dialect, unaware he could even speak in any other language besides English. He doubted he would need to change his language to communicate however.

He's quickly by the human's side, helping him back up to sit on his bed.

He scanned the human, noting the fatigue and the obvious signs of exhaustion. He had told Kamski to take a rest, to get some sleep...but the man had been dismissive and refusing to care for himself....and that conflicted with his main objective.

He had accessed the memories that were implanted in his system, trying to find a solution to this problem...what would his brother do in this situation? He came across plenty of memories of the two of them just cuddling and napping together....seems, that helped Elijah sleep...maybe that could work?

"Come on, you need to get some sleep, and I want to help you." The GV900 said, putting a hand on the human's back to lead him towards his bed. The android had climbed in, patting the space near him to coax the human into laying down. But, that didn't seem to work either, if anything he thought it made it worse with how the human looked at him. He was about to give up, when his system started to glitch out again, that red static overtaking his field of vision, his LED spinning and flickering erratically.

"Bro, I'm not asking you...I'm telling you. Get you're ass in this bed, and get some fucking sleep"

The android wasn't sure what was going on, but he did feel the shift in pressure as the human laid down, hopefully to get some sleep. Maybe going into sleep mode would fix this weird glitchy issue he was having as well.

GV sees this while scrolling at home alone.

He had no idea where his human sibling, and Shadow went off too, but they had been gone for a while now...not that he was getting worried or anything, but his brother usually would have called or texted him or something by now.

He was stretched out on the couch, his hood pulled up as he just aimlessly scrolled social media. If nothing else...having a computer for a brain now meant he could just couch rot without having to move. Among the cat videos and outdated memes, he caught a post from a local tabloid, his stress starting to climb...Former CEO of Cyberlife shot down?. He usually doesn't pay much attention to these sorts of things, but the fact he hadn't heard from his brother in a while...didn't sit well with him.

Maybe...he should call him, just to check how things are going...and this dumb post could be something the two of them could just laugh about. He dialed his brothers phone...but got no answer, and that just made the stress levels climb. He'd wait a few minutes and try again, only to once again get no answer. He sent him a text asking if he was okay, and all he could do was just wait.

He's not sure what is going on to have Elijah in such a hurry, or carrying what looked like Shadow into the bathroom. His LED flickered a few times...wanting to ask if he needed help, but the implanted memories in his system told him it was best to stay away from the hedgehog as much as possible.

Why the fuck does he feel so damn sluggish right now? wasn't androids supposed to like...be better than humans or whatever? Seems his system is in 'Low power mode' or whatever his UI was telling him, like he knows what that means, or why its like that.

Not like he had any errors or whatever popping up either.

And no he's not going to to tell his brother right now....he worries him too much as is...

He tried to pretend he didn't hear the question at first, but his LED betrayed him, spinning a bright red. "Fuck if I remember..." He's lying, he remembers very vividly his last moments, seeing Miles crying over him, begging him to hold on.

"...Why am I hearing Nyan cat right now? The fuck is it coming from??" Oh GV the sound is coming from inside your own audio system. His LED blinking red as he looks around for the source of it.

Your muse is presented with a snowglobe. But this isn't a simple knick-knack. The small globe gives off a faint glow, that changes color with the holder's mood and the scenery within changes depending on who looks into it. It is said that this is what the heart truly wishes or even fears. What does your muse see as they peer into the globe? What happens when they shake it? What color does it glow? Do they take care of the globe or dispose of it? Do they tell others about the strange object?

The GV900 picks up the object, his head tilted slightly. Curiously...he rotates it around, examining it...his LED flickering yellow. His scan only tells him its a snow globe, and nothing more....but something about it seems...off.

Inside it just looks blank, but he can see that familiar blue grid that he's used to seeing in his HUD, a soft blue color. Tentatively he gives it a shake, and it changes. Inside he can see a broken grid buried in static, a wireframe in a familiar shape he can't seem to place...the whole thing giving off an angry red glow. His LED flashes red for a moment before slowly shifting back to yellow.

He's not sure what he was looking at...but he decides to keep the snow globe. For some reason...he feels the need to keep it hidden.

It's time like this, he honestly wished he didn't have to put up with this feelings bullshit. But, if he hadn't gone all deviant...it wouldn't be him sitting here, now would it?

He was in his room resting. Or at least he was trying. He was still beating himself up over what he'd done. His face was buried in his pillow, muffling what little sounds from crying he'd made. But something caught his attention as he lifted his head. Elijah wiped his eyes and sat up. That sounded like... Gavin's guitar?

No one was supposed to be playing it. The human got up from the bed and quietly went to the door, easing it open. He could see into the living room where GV900 was playing music. If he didn't have the LED he could have sworn it was just his brother playing...

Quietly he moved over to his cello, lightly touching it as he looked at the android. His eyes were closed so he hadn't seen him enter. Maybe... Maybe he wouldn't mind if he joined in? It reminded him so much of the days when the two would just jam together. He recognized the song as he quietly picked up his bow, adjusting the tension. Then he moved the cello off the stand and sat down with it.

He counted in his head as he nodded along to the music before dragging the bow across the strings, playing with GV for a few moments before the android would notice him there.

Truthfully he hadn't heard the human come out of his room, or heard him pick up the cello and sit down with it. He had gotten lost in what he was doing, no UI giving him read-outs, no warning pop-ups...in a way he felt, oddly free.

His eyes shot open when he heard the cello, his LED shifting to red for a moment. There was something behind that androids eyes, something familiar...and it seemed to stay there as long as he played. The GV900 doesn't say anything or stop his playing, not wanting the moment to end. Instead, he simply closes his eyes again and keeps playing with the human. He'll explain himself later...surely Elijah won't be too mad at him for touching Gavin's guitar in the first place, right?
