I’m sorry, I’m not normally one to judge things within the LGBTQ+ community, nor am I even a lesbian, but the concept of a “gold star lesbian” has got to be one of the most unnecessarily divisive and ridiculous things I’ve seen within the community in a while

#“You’ve never slept with a man and are therefore better than and more lesbian than the other lesbians so here’s a gold star!”#Alright do we give you a standing ovation then because clearly you’re not sleeping with anybody. Period. Dipshit.#Like who came up with the idea of ranking lesbians based on whether or not they experienced intense comphet?#Go to hell. Expediciously.#If I sound aggressive it’s because this struck me on two fronts #I’m constantly being told I’m not ___ enough about my own identities #and also my MOM who BIRTHED ME is a lesbian #If she was a “gold star” or “perfect” or “pure” or whatever the fuck you wanna call her I WOULDN’T EXIST #And yes btw. She’s still fucking valid. Regardless of her “gold star” status.#Whew! Rant over #The Knight speaks!
