This quote holds a deep meaning for me, especially now. It reminds me of how precious even the simplest things in life are. A safe home to live in 🏡, a steady job 💼, clean water 💦, the cool breeze from a fan in summer 🌬️, the warmth of a heater in winter 🔥, and the ability to work hard and build a future.

We had all of this. But now, we have lost everything. The war took our home, our stability, and our dreams. 💔

Today, my family and I are displaced once again, struggling to survive in unbearable conditions—scorching heat ☀️, disease-spreading insects 🦟, and a severe lack of clean water 🚰 and healthcare 🏥. Living in a small tent offers no protection from the relentless sun or freezing cold, making every day a battle just to meet basic human needs. Insects and rodents thrive in these conditions, while access to water—a fundamental human right—requires exhausting trips over long distances. Food is scarce and unaffordable, and medical care, if available, is often beyond reach. With our homes, jobs, and futures destroyed, affording rent is impossible. We never imagined having to ask for help, but war has stripped us of everything—our shelter, livelihoods, and security—leaving us with no choice but to rely on the kindness of others. 💔

Can you imagine living this way? Does a dignified life require so much? Is it truly impossible

The Hardship of Cooking and the Struggle for Food

For my family, every meal is a struggle. With no access to cooking gas or electricity, we have no choice but to cook over open flames. The constant exposure to smoke has led to serious respiratory issues, especially for the children and elderly in our home.

Finding food has become even more challenging. The small amount of food that is available is priced so high that it is nearly impossible for us to afford enough to eat. Our family faces the harsh reality of food insecurity and health risks every single day.

I don't know where else to post, but my cat is in need of help.

He had to go to an emergency vet yesterday night. They quoted us at anywhere between $1500 - $2500+ to get him better.

I know some people will see this and think it's crazy to spend this much on a cat, but this cat is my best friend. He has been in my life longer than my husband has. He's been there through the worst breakup I've experienced. He's been there through both of my pregnancies. He is my everything. If I don't have to say goodbye, I do not want to say goodbye to my sweet boy.

My children adore him and he adores them.
