so  blissfully  unaware  of  the  master’s  disdain  toward  her  mere  presence:   olivia’s  laughter  leaves  her  bright  and bubbly,  doe  eyes  peek  up  to  regard  her  companion  alight  with  mischief.   now,   a  part  of  her  is  dismayed,   make  no  mistake !   she’s  finally  caught  fast  within  his  unrelenting  grip  and  their  unspoken  game  of hide  and  seek  has  come  to  its  close.  

and  she  was  doing  so  well,   too !  has  he  not  a  word  of  praise  to  offer ??   every  elaborate  trap  intended  to  ensnare  her  ducked  around  and  destroyed,  primitive  net  frustratedly  bitten  through  with  small  teeth  and  ripped  up  further  to  render  it  useless.   ( one  would  find  themselves  hard  pressed to  find  a  more  destructive  force  on  earth  than  an  excitable  infant. )   enthused  by  the  heightened  stakes  olivia  herself  took  to  stringing  up  simple bell  triggers on  doors  around  the  tardis,   picking  up  on  where  the  master  was  and  disappearing  into  its  depths  should  he  draw  too  close  for  comfort.  

but  they  failed  her !   no---   olivia  failed herself,  scrambling  into  what  she  knew  full  well  could  be  nothing  more  than  a dead  end;   what  else  was  she  to  do ?   harry  was coming,   she  was  only  just  squirming  out  of  the  net   ------   a  split - second  decision  had  to  be  made !  couple  that  with  toddler  logic  and  loss  was  inevitable...   ugh,   the  wardrobe.   she  might  as  well  have  hid  under  the  bed.

❛  awww...   got  me,   y’  got  me !  ❜   olivia  chirps,   begrudgingly  conceding  defeat   ------   beaming  grin’s  curved  across  her  sweet  face  as  she  dangles  above  the  sea  of  clothes  haphazardly.   maybe  he’ll  play  with  her  again,   it’d  be  fun !   ...   even  if  he  does  totally  suck.   the  guy  didn’t  catch  her  for  days  on  freakin’  end !   

and  yet...   the  infant’s  earnest  expression  can  only  falter  ever  so  slightly  as  she  finally  processes  that  he  looks...   so  distinctly  unimpressed  with  her.   she  blinks  in  an  owlish  manner,   genuinely  at  a  loss:   she’s  in  trouble ?

olivia’s  boisterous  voice  wavers  into  a  bewildered,   guilty  mumble------
