Had a thought about Detroit: Become Human Reigen and Android Serizawa
this was a message i sent my friend, so I'm just gonna copy and paste it here
like imagine reigen just, slowly going up to him, gazing into android wawa's empty eyes, tracing his uniform with his hand, as he goes down his arm and grabs his cold, rigid hands, knowing it's so stupid, falling in love with an inanimate object, he puts his other hand on serizawa's waist, with a ball forming in his throat. how can he be this lonely? he feels pathetic. all this being perceived by serizawa, who's trying so hard to stay in line, but his ring is already glowing yellow, with blinking red lights, he tries to fight the urge to break his code, to no avail though, because just a few moments later, all reigen feels is serizawa suddenly moving on his own, grabbing both of reigens hands, and looking into his eyes with such human like passion, and none of them say a word, they just stare. and their hands wander, and suddenly they're holding eachother closer with their chest pressed to eachother, artificial lips getting warmed by the other's hot breath, as they finally get to do what they wanted for so long, and their kiss lasts such a long time, but not enough to make up for the time that has passed, and they just take eachother in, zeros and ones nearing short circuit, and hazy thoughts swirling behind flushed cheeks
here's the first message that inspired me to ramble about this

There’s a definite chance I might not be writing this BUT
I had a detroit become human idea for a Mob Psycho fic, it’s pretty loose considering I had the idea while sitting in the back of a car and standing under the shower head.
There’s probably a chance I would be writing it but it’s kinda leaning to a “Nah, probably not”.
With that being said, I kinda don’t want to trash the idea as a whole without it meeting the light of day, so I’m gonna spill my ideas here so I can look back and think; “Wow. That’s shit.”
To add, this whole thing will sound more like babbling than an actual summary, so excuse me lmao.
Tsubomi doesn’t have any friends. But coming from a wealthy family, her parents decides to buy her a friend. Cue Shigeo/Mob.
I had a funny model name for all the child androids ‘ESP(insert number, for Shigeo it’s 100)’ despite this being a no powers AU. Then I realized it probably wouldn’t fit because I am low key planning for all the espers to be androids and realized ‘Wow, ha ha, that’s a lot of androids’ so now SOME of the espers are androids.
Okay so fast forward and Tsubomi’s parents are thinking, “We should replace Shigeo, he’s kinda old fashioned now.”
“Mom we only had him for 4 years.”
“Exactly.”
But Tsubomi’s really attached to Mob because he’s her best friend, and doesn’t tell him he might be replaced until he finds out himself. He goes bat shit crazy and tries to kill himself and Tsubomi. Cue Serizawa, a cop android.
Serizawa calms my boy down and Shigeo’s like, “You’re right, I shouldn’t be doing this. I’m so--” bang. Tsubomi low key gets traumatized, Shigeo is bleeding blue on the floor.
We shift to the next scene where Shigeo wakes up on like a bed except it’s actually a table. Cue Reigen, he works at Cyberlife as a child therapist/repair worker. Actually, my man was suppose to be just a repair worker but he got promoted to child therapist for calming down a raging Teru.
“Kid, you remember anything?”
“I- Sorta? Where am I, am I gonna be killed?”
Reigen’s like sweating because he isn’t sure himself, Shigeo’s the first kid who tried to commit murder. But as they talked, Reigen’s kinda surprised to realize that Shigeo’s actually a really really sweet kid.
Shigeo asks how Tsubomi is doing and if she hates him. Reigen tells him she’s fine and she misses him. Which is the truth, but he doesn’t mention that Tsubomi did end up getting a replacement in fear of ticking Shigeo off. Cue Ritsu, the replacement android best friend.
There’s a sort of cell holding all the ‘defect’ child androids, like a little playroom but also an actual cell, and inside there’s: Gou, Rei, Takeshi, Daichi, Kaito and Teru.
Cue Teru, who is the only one who has a similar case to Shigeo; he punched a kid in the nose and sent him to the hospital, which made his mom very very pissed and sent him for repairs. Because of this, he’s enraged further and the staff can’t send him back unless his attitude changes to the “ideal son”.
Teru thinks being an android is a gift, he can’t die and he’s pretty much flawlessly shaped. When he meets Shigeo, he asks why he looks so plain, and it’s revealed it’s because Tsubomi didn’t want anything flashy.
And mostly because Shigeo’s an older model.
Each kid (except for Teru) had an actual defect to their system. Gou has somehow obtained a built in lighter function, which isn’t suppose to be there. Rei has the reconstruct and construct feature for unknown reasons. Takeshi is basically a walking magnet, except he doesn’t really know when it’s turned on or off (when it’s turned on, it’s strong enough to accidentally pull all the others towards him and it gets pretty annoying). Daichi and Kaito’s memory cloud keeps syncing with one another, which disrupts them from being able to remember the right things correctly (i.e Daichi gets Kaito’s memories and believes they are his own and vice versa).
The only reason they’re still stuck here is because they come from middle class families (except for Teru), so they’re way behind on the waiting list to get repaired.
Shigeo, on the other hand, came from a rich family, so he’d be out in no time. This makes Teru very mad, he states it isn’t fair that Shigeo gets to be let out sooner than them even though he just got here.
He tries to attack, but unfortunately for him, they’ve installed a software that prevents Teru from being able to kick and punch. Like a parental lock sorta? The same has been done to Shigeo.
Shigeo only makes Teru even more mad when he says he wishes he was human. If he wasn’t human, none of this would’ve happened, “Teru, if you were human, you wouldn’t be right here y’know? Your mom wouldn’t need to send a real human boy for repairs.”
And Teru is pissed because he knows Shigeo’s right.
But being the cunning bitch he is, he smiles and pretends to accept Shigeo’s opinion, and he asks for a hug. Shigeo happily agrees and let’s Teru wrap an arm around him.
Then Teru squeezes.
“Teru, I can’t, you’re crushing- I can’t--”
“Oh, I know. If I break you enough, you’ll have to stay here with us even longer.”
Shigeo tries to retaliate, but due to the software, he’s unable to kick himself free. The rest tries to intervene, but Teru threatens them to stay back or he’ll squeeze harder.
“Can a human do this? Shigeo? Can they?”
Shigeo manages to break through the system and finally breaks free, he’s back in his aggressive mode and actually starts attacking.
He takes it too far when he rips Teru heart out.
Everyone is screaming at this point and Reigen’s rushing towards the cell like mad. Serizawa is there too, because he wanted to visit Shigeo to see how he’s doing.
“Why are you running?”
“Something bad is happening, I need to be there- Woah there buddy!” Serizawa picks Reigen up and surprises him. Then the android fucking bolts.
When Reigen finally reaches the cell and enters, he finds Shigeo on the ground, bleeding out once again, and Teru staring motionlessly at Shigeo.
“He...gave me his heart.”
Shigeo is sent to be repaired again and this time, he’s kept in a separate cell, because no one knows how he managed to break through their system. It’s almost impossible for a child -and not to mention an OLD- model to be able to do that.
While Reigen’s thinking in his office, cue Mitsuura, who says it’d be a shame for all those child models to lose their cool abilities. He jokes about just creating a child model meant to possess those abilities, like a tiny cop or something.
Cue Suzuki, no no, the other Suzuki. Mommy Suzuki. Except she’s a single lady who surrounds herself with Touichirou, the first ever android model made. That’s right, she’s head of Cyberlife.
She comes in, because she can’t sit still, and says, “Not a bad idea, man.”
Mitsuura has a fit and thanks the woman.
“So, about that old model that broke my parental control lock?” She turns to Reigen and he huffs, shrugging.
“I really don’t know, ma’am.”
She hums, definitely interested. Unlike the OG DBH, in this AU, they’re more lenient in the deviancy of androids because Suzuki believes they can have rights too. Except they don’t need to get paid, unless they want to? Honestly my idea for that aspect is low key fuzzy.
So anyways, Suzuki remembers Mitsuura’s idea and basically starts sketching out the draft. Cue Shou, who doesn’t exist yet but he’s in the making.
“Can you take the extra components of those child androids and keep them somewhere for later use? I’ll be needing them.”
“Ma’am, those androids are at the back of the waiting list, we can’t just--”
“Just do it.”
Cue Roshuuto, who seriously believes they should just kill Shigeo. “He’s too dangerous” blah blah blah SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Anyways, Reigen doesn’t want to do that because a) android or not, that’s a kid and b) You can’t make that decision and neither can I. Only Suzuki can.
Roshuuto sorta frowns, because everyone knows Suzuki plays favorites; and that favorite is Reigen. He’s the reason why Touichi now has a bit of sentience, before that android was pretty ruthless.
So if Reigen personally doesn’t want to get rid of Shigeo, then Suzuki would say the same too.
Meanwhile, Teru has been showing signs of positive improvement in attitude, there’s a speculation it might’ve been because Teru now has Shigeo’s heart, but that’s just dumb. That kid believes he just killed another android and he’s not sure how he feels about it, so he decides the least thing he could do was to be a better android.
Since Shigeo doesn’t share the same cell as them and nobody told them Shigeo survived, everyone in the playroom thinks Shigeo is dead.
Teru gets sent back after that, and the rest of the kids got their needed repairs.
Meanwhile, Shigeo and Reigen has daily consultation sessions, where they try to find the source of Shigeo’s issues. It takes about a month and Reigen hands Shigeo his cellphone number, saying if Shigeo ever needed him, Reigen would be there.
Shigeo gets sent back to the Takane’s family, because if he doesn’t, Tsubomi will throw a fit. She doesn’t do it often, but when she does, it’s ugly. It’s not like she’s spoiled, but when she strongly and firmly wants something, she’s determined enough to get it.
Originally, Ritsu was meant to be a direct replacement of Shigeo. He even had the bowl cut and everything, but Tsubomi’s intelligent and manages to figure out Ritsu’s a fake. She doesn’t get mad at him though, he doesn’t deserve it, instead she just befriends him too. Ritsu becomes a whole new person he wants to be, even mussed up his hair to look different.
So Shigeo meets Ritsu for the first time, and he’s sorta confused and upset, but Tsubomi got attached to Ritsu as well and refuses to leave him. Ritsu says he’s glad to finally meet Shigeo, because he has heard so much about him, and Shigeo decides he could like Ritsu.
I kinda stop making ideas from here, but I had a rough idea what happens next. Teru and Shigeo do meet again at some point, and Ritsu does meet Shou at some point too.
There will be background Serirei, and Shigeo does eventually grow a crush on Tsubomi and confession and oh no it went wrong. I think that’s when Shou makes his first appearance?
Because they think a child can calm another child down. It doesn’t work.
Nobody realizes Reigen’s probably the only thing that can help until the very very last minute.
So anyways, that’s the end of it. I don’t know what to do with this idea because now that I’ve spilled them all on the table, I kinda feel like writing it now. Though I already have two other projects planned, one being Nap’s birthday gift fic and another being a secret project that features Ritshou and amnesia, so it might be delayed to maybe June :(

Ueno Character Bio (How Clumsy you are, Miss Ueno)
Tumblr media
Age: 13-14
Occupation: Junior High School Student/President of the Science Club
Family: ???? (Not mentioned but she likely does have parents.)
Likes: Tanaka, her inventions, testing her inventions on Tanaka, Yamashita helping her, seducing Tanaka, her club.
Dislikes: Tanaka being oblivious, Tanaka not being in the club, Yamashita threatening to sue people for “sexual harassment”, her inventions malfunctioning, being embarrassed, other girls acting seductive towards Tanaka.
Voice Actors:  Yū Serizawa (Japanese); Hilary Haag (English)
Description
Ueno is the main, female protagonist of the manga and anime: How Clumsy you are, Miss Ueno. Ueno is the President of the Science Club at her Junior High. She is known for her amazing inventions...but her main objective is to seduce her club mate, Tanaka, who is completely oblivious to her obvious feelings. She will go far and beyond to get Tanaka interested in her.
Personality
Ueno is a genius who can create anything. Her inventions range from water bottles that create water from the milky way, to a device that can turn inanimate objects into pets. Many other students, mostly other Club Presidents, come to her for an invention that can help them. For example: A device that covers up women’s bodies from peeping toms. Though her inventions can stop sexual harassment and peeping toms...Ueno is, in fact, perverted herself when it comes to seducing Tanaka. She has willingly taken off her tights and lifted up her skirt to make Tanaka sexually attracted to her...but all of her attempts to seduce him have failed. Ueno is a tsundere who acts rude and loud towards Tanaka, because she becomes easily embarrassed when it comes to her feelings for him. If other girls try to seduce Tanaka, she becomes very mad and agitated towards the girls and Tanaka...though they are also unsuccessful when it comes to seducing Tanaka. Ueno wants nothing more than for Tanaka to realize her feelings for him and become her boyfriend.
Relationships
Tanaka: Tanaka is a member of the Science Club and is the main object of her desires. Ueno goes to great lengths to seduce him, since boys are usually into perverted stuff...though Tanaka is completely oblivious and does not have perverted thoughts or feelings at all. Ueno’s attempts to seduce him usually backfire on her and make Tanaka see her as a strange girl. If her attempts are unsuccessful, she becomes mad and takes it out on Tanaka...much to his confusion. Tanaka sees himself as normal compared to Ueno, and sometimes thinks that she is trying to bully him. Despite this, however, they care about each other very much. Tanaka sees Ueno as a good friend and is willing to help her out with testing her inventions, as he does often find them amazing. But he does not like it when she forces him to be the test subject, especially of the invention makes him uncomfortable. He is pretty much to the most oblivious guy in the world.
Tumblr media
Yamashita: Yamashita is a member of the Science Club and is Ueno’s accomplice/best friend. Yamashita is usually unemotional, but does have a dark sense of humor. She knows about Ueno’s feelings towards Tanaka and is willing to help her with her attempts to seduce him. Despite this, Yamashita does sometimes bully Tanaka by hitting him or threatening to report him for “sexual harassment”...though he never actually does anything to her and sees her as just as weird as Ueno. Ueno does become annoyed with Yamashita’s dark sense of humor, but the two of them are best freinds. Yamashita comforts Ueno when her attempts to seduce Tanaka fail. Like Ueno, Yamashita is amazed with how oblivious Tanaka is to Ueno’s obvious feelings towards him.
Tumblr media
Tamon: Tamon is a pet that Ueno created from her tights. She invented a device that could create a living creature from any inanimate object. She created Tamon so Tanaka would become attached to him and, in her mind, would become obsessed with her legs. Of course her plan failed and she was about to turn Tamon back into a pair of tights, though Tanaka was sad about it and so Ueno decided to make him the club’s pet. Since he is made from Ueno’s tights, Tamon gains energy by rubbing himself on her legs.
Tumblr media
Number 6: Number 6 is an android that is one of Ueno’s inventions. Number 6 looks like Ueno herself, and was created to spy on Tanaka and see if he would notice that Number 6 was a robot. Of course, he did not notice that Number 6 was a robot and not Ueno...much to her annoyance. Number 6 was able to lay down on Tanaka’s lap and made him stroke her head, which made Ueno extremely jealous. Number 6 almost revealed Ueno’s feelings for Tanaka, but Ueno was able to stop her out of embarrassment. Number 6 has a number of functions that are very useful. Number 6 is more straightforward that her creator.
Tumblr media
Kitanaga: Kitanaga is the President of the Swimming Club. She is on friendly terms with Ueno, and even came to her for an invention to help her with a probelm involving a peeping tom spying on the girls in her club. Ueno’s invention allowed blobs of dark matter to cover up Kitanaga’s body. Kitanaga tested it by stripping in front of Tanaka, much to Ueno’s disbelief. She tried to see if Tanaka would become aroused despite parts of her body being covered, but he was only interested in the bits of dark matter that appeared out of nowhere. Kitanaga was happy to see that Ueno was doing well with her club. She knows about Ueno’s crush on Tanaka.
Tumblr media
Nishihara: Nishihara is the President of the Track and Field. She is very athletic and can climb all the way up the to the third floor of the school, without getting tired. But because of her athletic body, she sweats so much and so she came to Ueno to create something that would prevent her from dripping sweat all the time. Ueno made her an outfit that could soak up her sweat and even turn it into drinkable water. Nishihara tried to test that function by having Tanaka drink the water from her outfit. She almost succeeded, but Ueno stopped her and began to drink from the top of her outfit. This awakened Nishihara’s motherly instincts, and she began to treat Ueno like her baby after that.
Tumblr media
Minamine: Minamine is the President of the Girl’s Tennis Club. Minamine came to Ueno to create a skirt that would hide the panties of the girls in her club. She believes that all men are perverts who want to look up girl’s skirts, though she is oblivious to the real cause of guys looking at the girls in the Tennis Club: Minamine was repeatedly telling people that she was not wearing panties and was even showing them what she was wearing underneath her skirt. Ueno couldn’t believe that she was oblivious to the obvious fact that Minamine herself is the actual cause of her own problem. Ueno was mad when Minamine lifted her skirt in front of Tanaka so he could see that she was a bikini bottom instead of panties, though Tanaka was just confused by what Minamine was trying to explain. When Tanaka said that maybe guys were watching her not because they wanted to see her panties, but because they thought that she was pretty, she became shy and speechless...though Ueno was just mad and annoyed that Tanaka called another girl ‘pretty’.
Tumblr media
Unogawa: Unogawa is the President of the Gymnastics Club. She is a tomboyish-looking girl who had Ueno create a device that would allow her to keep out for peeping toms. Ueno made her a pair of glasses that would allow her to control robotic eyeballs, and even see what is going on through the robotic eyeballs as well. The two of them are on good terms and are good friends. But Tanaka thought that Unogawa was a boy and told her that he didn’t think that boys and girls should be too physically close out of concern for Ueno. This made Unogawa mad, and she tried to show him that she really was a girl and not a boy. Unogawa was amazed by Tanaka’s stupidity, while Tanaka was relieved that Ueno did not have an inappropriate relationship with a boy.
Tumblr media
Mizuna and Yomogi Tanaka: Mizuna and Yomogi are Tanaka’s younger sisters. The two of them are non-identical twins and are both one year younger than their brother. Mizuna is the older twin but is shorter than her siblings, while Yomogi is the younger twin but taller than her sister. The two of them can be a bit childish and like to tease their big brother, but they are both often scolded by him when they cause trouble. Tanaka is a bit embarrassed of his younger sisters, but he does love them and tries to discipline them if they cause trouble. Mizuna’s favorite flavor of sweets is soy flour, while Yomogi’s favorite flavor of sweets is chocolate mint. Mizuna is in the same class as Yamashita, while Yomogi is in the Tennis Club. They do not know about Ueno’s crush on Tanaka.

TITLEWave Character Re-Imaginings...
Welp, in the tradition of @dimetrodone I decided I might as well write up copyrighted fictional characters as how they’d exist in my TITLEWave setting.
But, as both a challenge and a proof-of-why-it-needs-to-happen, I’ll be restricting it to copyrighted characters from 1960 and earlier ala my idea of 56 or Bust. Because WHY THE HECK NOT?!
Past the break, because this is gettin loooooong.
Astro Boy- Essentially one of the earliest robots establishing a lot of the groundwork both AI and construction-wise for the androids of TITLEWave, despite his dubious origins as the product of a deranged scientist trying to recreate his lost son Astro’s ended up kind of an icon. So much of what he’s done laid the groundwork for what few rights robots had in this setting, and there’s even some minor religions amongst synthetics in this setting in his name
But, when the world needed him, he vanished. And robot rights backslid, often attributed in large part to a world without his influence. Only to reappear decades later, with no memory of where he had been; except for being trapped in some strange; dark place. And now, having upgraded thanks to years of interest on a bank account set up under his long-dead adoptive father’s name, he works as he always has to try to set the world right, to bring the balance between machines and humans.
Of course, while there are many who profit off the exploitation of sentient machines and present him with a handshake in front but a dagger behind their backs, there are also plenty of new allies for Astro, given the fact that he’s a living legend amongst the robotic community, and there’re a lot of people who’ve been inspired to their own heroism by him
Godzilla- Essentially created less from acts of massive war violence as much as years of societal violence, on a huge New Jersey industrial company town dedicated to the repurposing of nuclear materials and chemical waste into useful products, in a process both grueling; dehumanising and lethally toxic for those on the bottom and a nightmare of crunchtime working conditions for those doing the engineering/research. Said process became essentially automated more and more; leaving more and more people out of work and creating a massive underclass; located right by the heavily polluted coastline.
The problem started when they tried to “purge” said underclass, at first via subtler means by neglect cranking up the pollution levels to unsustainable limits, then by more blatant means, such as experimental toxins and random police experimental-gassings. And, this further added to the primordial nightmare-soup to the point where company scientist Doctor Serizawa tried to raise the alarm about the unsettling; violent biological mutations his research team found in there. To no avail. And then, one night, during the largest gassing raids in historyu; The Midway Street Massacre, the creature came.
Serizawa did eventually destroy it with the Oxygen Destroyer, and sacrifice himself to do so, though millions of lives were lost including several of the company’s highest executives. Curiously, most of the attacks by the creature were centered on the wealthiest areas of the city, much to their chagrin.
But, the story diverges from the fact that, when company scientists came to inspect things, they found the creature’s flesh was growing back onto its bones. And, then they had the alledgedly-brilliant idea to bring it onto land and cyborgize the regeneration creature. This went as well as you’d expect.
The escaped creature now wanders the country, less vicious than its original appearance and now treated more like a natural disaster than a kill-this-abomination-now-level threat. One wonders what goes through its head. Those who have made mental contact with it seem to indicate a creature that is lonely, and in pain. Because like those others living in where it was created, it too is a victim in its own way.
And, there are worrying signs from that original company, because not only do they still posess tissue samples of the creature’s cells, but also there are whispers of whole new strains of creatures they found mutated from the results of the Oxygen Destroyer….
Gandalf/Sauron- A wandering robot that looks superficially like some cheap carnival animatronic of an old man, only to reveal incredibly powerful technology beneath his surface; if it even is technology as we know it. He’s a wise mentor-type to heroic types he finds, but he has an agenda of his own as well.
It involves stopping a similar; but more powerful machine called Sauron, whose original body was destroyed, but who lives on in fragments of his corpus and AI cores; in particular one TITLE-like divice simply known as The Ring.
Nobody really knows where they came from, when asked Gandalf says he simply answers to “A higher authority”
Rick Blaine- Or, rather, Rikki Blaine. Formerly an uninvolved bystander for years running her bar in a place that was essentially a waypoint for those trying to escape from various nightmarish megacorp-owned city states, she finally was spurred to involvement after an old flame of his came with her leftist freedom-fighter husband, which ultimately ended not only in heris aiding in their escape; but also him finding a reason to live; and skimming off a high-level megacorp official to her cause too.
Now she runs an organization called the “Casablanca Foundation” to help people escape not just from Megacorp-states but also the places that are megacorp-states in all but name; or even just generally bad situations. If you know who to call, you can find her.
Bugs Bunny- Called by many nicknames including “the abortion of this age” and “the rough beast Yeats spoke of,” nobody knows where the fuck Bugs Bunnycame from. The best guess of most is that it’s a confluence of multiple biological and parapsychological factors ending up affecting one normal North American rabbit. It is also theorized they came from Brooklyn due to their distinctive accent.
Bugs is essentially an incredibly powerful humanoid lapine organism, unable to permanently die even when flattened; exploded; burned; eaten; chopped to bits; ectcetera, and with remarkable abilities of mental power despite his screwball attitude towards life; with the ability to defy the laws of physics without conscious thought and bar-none high-level abilities of spacial reasoning and behavioral prediction. And able to disguise themselves better than you’d think.
Originally they were much more terrifyingly chaotic, but nowadays they have rules they seem to follow. Namely; no retribution unless either they are provoked or somebody they like gets hurt and no killing. Other than that, if you piss them off there will be hell to pay.
Though, if you can get on their good side (Which is easier than most people think) they can be a jovial; steadfast friend (Albeit one with an often overly-massive ego with a tendency to be overly cocky and quick to fight) and a powerful ally. And, as you can guess by my use of pronouns, they happen to be genderfluid. Because Bugs Bunny
Superman- Despite a more neon 80s-tacular costume, complete with badass bounty-hunter-y mask, he’s still fundamentally Superman, helping people against problems too great for mortal people. He’s the only “proper” superhero in this setting in fact; and while everyone wonders what his real agenda is, nobody suspects that he’s just as genuine as he seems, a Jewish guy from the sticks who happened to be found in a crashed rocketship by a couple of farmers who’s trying to bring Tikkum Olam to the world. Though his reporting is more for television, he still works to report the news of the world at the Daily Star webcast.
Of course, there are a few differences. Like the fact that underneath his human appearance is an anatomy that is far off from human, with him only looking human thanks to the “rebirthing machine” in that original ship that altered him; and in fact perhaps other Kryptonians still out there; into the appearance of the planet’s dominant species.
And, there’s also the fact; with the research into the strange crystal technology linked to his planet and its lethally radioactive corrupted form known as Kryptonite, he’s found that they weren’t quite restricted to one planet. In fact, they were an interplanetary civilization, leaping across solar systems. And then, all at once, they were destroyed. But he’s never been able to find an answer as to by who or by what, or why seemingly relatively so relatively few of them were able to escape. And the few leads bring up disquieting possibilities...
You may ask, why not make expies just like these descriptions?
And I probably will do that in the future with these ideas. But; thing is; there’s power in legacies. There’s power in Superman being a shining neon light in this vicious future, there’s power in Astro Boy coming to set right what has fallen apart in his absence, there is power in Godzilla as the wrath of societal violence, and so-on.
And, while I agree with the truth that even if things are public domain they need to be treated with respect, that’s an argument I’d say for the public domain rather than against it.
