Sun, past tense
(atsuhina)
A/n: Been reading too much angst lately and I just had to try to write something. Hopefully I'll be able to write half as well as stuff like "in another life" and "the galaxy is endless". Anyways, as I attempt to keep a record of my non-existent improvement, here you go. (To the three or so people who'll see this, pfft- /lh /nm) Tw/ death, angst, su*icide, etc. (580 words)
There’s someone who has always been here, someone who has seldom left his side, but now, slouched against the wall on a steel-framed hospital bench, he shifts his hand closer to that someone who he realizes, is no longer here.
His fists clench and release. Once, twice, more times than one could possibly count. It’s been five hours. Five hours spent disassociating in a too-white hallway. Definitely long enough for the stench of antiseptics to cling to his every strand of bleached hair and to seep through every pore of his etiolated skin. The odor wafting around him only deepens his resentment and his bitterness.
*click* *slide* He jolts, head lifting higher than it’s been in a while. His bloodshot eyes gape over his hollowed cheeks, blood moons over dusty canyons. He shoves himself off his seat with energy he definitely doesn’t have. “Is he okay?” he manages to rasp, parched throat grasping for air that his chapped lips won’t let in. “He is alive. Not well, but alive,” the doctor sighs, peeling off latex gloves with hands drenched in sweat. Atsumu, who has just noticed that his own tremulous hands are even clammier than the ones before him, breaks down into tears. He’s an ugly crier, and he knows, it, but it isn’t as if Hinata is here to see it. He curses under his breath. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I should never have let you anywhere near him, I-” The surgeon cuts him short. “He needs rest, not this. You can talk to him once you’ve calmed down. He’ll be in 7B South, room 43.” Atsumu stops breathing, barely manages to nod, his knees scraping against the cold floor and his hands plastered through strands of greasy hair against reddened ears.
A week later, Hinata is dead. They said they couldn’t save him, couldn’t get his lungs working again because of the blossoming wisteria that pleached itself through his bronchi. Atsumu doesn’t believe it, can’t bring himself to. A life where the sun – his sun - is gone... he suspires in forlorn dejection and chokes. “That isn’t a life at all.”
He finally stands up; has he been here a whole week? He can’t remember. He wades through air thicker than water and traipses down stairs he has only ever seen four feet on. He falls into the desolate embrace of a once shared apartment and drags himself under a pathetic drizzle of metallic tears. He gets out and lets gravity burrow him into the narrow space between the shower and the sink. He watches as his phone finally blinks alive, only to wish that the heart monitor could have done the same.
He breaks down again, this time sobbing onto a damp bath mat. He gets three noise complaints, but he never finds out because he’s too far gone.
Two days of incessant lament, and he comes opens his door to a barren home a second time. He sets the polished ceramic urn he’s holding next to a wilted sunflower Hinata had dragged home eons ago. He starts wailing again, grabbing at someone who was. He knows that Hinata would have gotten all fussy and worried if he had seen Atsumu like this. He knows him so well that it hurts. He dares to fathom a world where both of them could sit in the auburn glow of sunset, gazing through the open veranda to their future, a future together.
His last wish was beyond futile.

rubatosis [t.s]
rubatosis (n: the unsettling awareness of your heartbeat); in which Todoroki Shoto runs from the lantern demon
category: horror, angst
w.c: 935
warning(s): kinda suggestive, character death
a/n: i don’t really know what this is. i was writing fluff and then i started this instead. but i’m done with finals so hopefully i’ll be able to write more.
the creaking of a swinging lantern sent a shock of fear into Shoto’s heart. he thought he’d lost it a few streets back, so how had it found him again?
“Shoto… why are you trying to hide from me?” his stomach twisted, the sickly sweet voice making him want to vomit.
he pressed himself further into the wall, hoping it would pass him without looking too much into the shadowy alley. rough brick nicked at his skin as Shoto closed his eyes tightly. his breath became labored as the noise grew closer and he was suddenly very aware of his heartbeat. it pounded loudly in the male’s ears and the anxiety building in his chest skyrocketed.
all too abruptly, it became silent. there was no longer the noise that rang in his ears, and there was no longer his loud heartbeat. for a brief second, he wanted to believe it was over, but his gut told him something was about to happen. slowly opening his multi-colored eyes, Shoto willed himself to peek out of the alleyway. he couldn’t see it anymore and he hoped it had gone past him. he took a shaky step forward while his hands came up to hold himself up.
“you’re already leaving?” a voice, right in his ear. his heart dropped. his body began to shake, but he refused to look at the monster. even when its fingers curled onto his shoulder, he refused. even when its form pressed against his, he refused. “i just got here.”
its lantern fell with a clatter, the second hand pressing to his abdomen. “why are you..?” Shoto cringed at the sound of his broken voice, barely registering the tears flowing down his face.
“why won’t you look at me, Sho?” it ignored his question and, with a giggle, its tongue brushed against his neck. his eyes screwed shut once again and he desperately wanted this to end. “you know you want to.”
“no…” he mumbled, fists curling. “no!” with a burst of adrenaline, Shoto burst away and began running.
“Sho, that wasn’t nice!” the lilt in its voice began to drop and the creaking of the lantern picked back up. “why do you keep trying to run from me?”
he didn’t answer and careened down different streets, throat on fire. once again, he became acutely aware of his heartbeat. his tears were falling freely, his feet stumbling, and his head spinning. ‘just keep running,’ Shoto told himself as he turned a corner, only to meet the soft body of the monster.
fingers dug into his ankles when he tried to crawl away, pulling him closer.
“please… please let me go,” Shoto was sobbing now, hands desperately gripping the fabric of its robe. it seemed to finally sink in that the streets were empty. he was alone, alone with this thing that now had him in the palm of its hand and he could do nothing. no one was around to help him, they wouldn’t come no matter how much he screamed.
maybe he should’ve forgiven his father. maybe he should’ve tried harder to make more friends. maybe he should have told his family that he loved them. maybe he should’ve followed his companions to the mall that day. maybe—
“Sho,” you straddled his stomach, smiling down at him gently. your lantern swung on its pole next to you, the light brightening with each passing second. “Sho, look at me.” your hands cupped his face, wiping away his tears.
“please…” he wailed, grip on your clothes tightening. when you flashed him a crooked smile filled with sharp teeth, he choked out a weak sob. “then at least tell me why. i want—”
“oh, Sho,” you crooned, hands sliding down to rest on his chest, “i just wanted you.”
your eyes sparkled crimson as you leaned down, lips melding to his own. the lantern’s light burned bright, intruding Shoto’s vision. a cry was swallowed by your mouth and the boy below you stopped moving.
humming, you parted from him, his soul dangling from your lips. you rose from his body and turned to your lantern, opening the door and spitting him out into the dimming light.
“we’re together now, Sho,” taking the pole in hand, you moved down the road. screams rang from behind you as the mortals discovered his body. while they called for help, you stepped into the shadows, grin on your lips.
——
Shoto found himself in an empty space, nothing but darkness around him. he turned in a circle a few times, eyes desperate to find something to look at. much to his chagrin, there wasn’t anything to look at but darkness.
“hello?” he called, panic once again filling his lungs. “can anyone hear me? hello? is anyone there?”
he didn’t know how long he screamed for, how long his heartbeat rang in his ears for, but his throat eventually went raw and his voice died out. he sank to his knees and cried, wishing he could go home.
“um… excuse me?” a hand on his shoulder sent him reeling forward, arms wrapping around himself for comfort. his eyes met ones of brown, the owner looking as confused as Shoto felt. “my name is Hinata Shoyo. who are you? how did we get here? where even is here?”
“my name is Todoroki Shoto,” the split-haired male replied with his scratchy voice, “and i don’t know.”
——————————
some slight context: the reader is a demon / spirit that can take the souls of people and put them into her lantern. Shoto was her first victim, thus why he’s alone until Shoyo is killed.

𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐭
𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: ‘What would you do if after you pass, you get the chance to watch a video tape of your entire life with your guardian angel?’
𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: When the world has suddenly lost its sunshine.
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: angst with no happy ending (can be considered happy if you squint real hard), mentions of death and suicide
𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: mentions of past!Kageyama Tobio x Hinata Shouyou
A never-ending landscape of white. A vast space that would make anyone go crazy. It felt like days since he got here. His bright orange hair heavily contrasted the white expanse as it bounced with every cautious step Hinata took. How he got here in the first place was alarming him, as his memory of anything that happened before was completely wiped out and replicating the emptiness of the place he was currently in. He was never too fond of unknown spaces, especially when he was alone. It always felt like there was something out to get him and torture him once its hands got him. That’s why he was forever thankful for the people he has in his life for protecting him and keeping up with his childish actions. He was the most thankful to Kageyama. He thought of how his once enemy was his now flat mate and partner that had to put up with his antics and breakdowns whenever Hinata was not feeling his best. Feeling an immense feeling of having to thank Tobio once he saw him, Hinata abruptly stopped. Now that he recollected his thoughts a bit…there was this certain haze that seemed to be overflowing his mind.
It was like his whole mind was empty, except the poorly represented Kageyama in it. No matter how much Hinata was thinking, he couldn’t come up with anything or even clear the image of Kageyama. He began to panic. Heart rapidly beating in his chest at the thought of having no recollection of himself and his memories. Oh, how unpleasant it felt to feel like a stranger in your own body. His hands were tightly pulling on his hair, tears that were filling up his eyes have already started rapidly falling and his chest was constricting any deep breathing. His head was starting to hurt from the countless trial and error, attempting to gain any further information of him and his previous whereabouts. He was certain there was more to his life and Kageyama’s life then just each other, but he was losing hope. Was his whole life just one Kageyama Tobio?
‘Shouyou,’ a soft and angelic-like voice called out his name. Looking up with his tear stained face, his eyes capture the image of something so magnificent that he could’ve never believed existed in real life. A deity was standing in front of him, with its glory and beauty, but for someone very wary and scared like Hinata, he felt this huge wave of reassurance coming from said deity that made him extremely calm. Still sniffling, Hinata stood up from his, now bruised knees and glanced through his teary gaze at the deity.
A beautiful woman was standing just a few meters from him with the softest of smiles on her face. Blue eyes brightly shinning in the white vastness, blonde hair curling down her back and pure white clothing gently caressing her body. Hinata noted that it reminded him of those ancient Greece outfits he happened to learn in History class once…if only he could remember what school that happened in and what teacher he was hardly listening to was. His pent-up frustration and panic was brimming again, but it never burst. A soft hand gently curled around his thin wrist and he felt calm again. The deity was standing right in front of him and Hinata couldn’t control the blush appearing on his cheeks at the sight of such beauty. She looked into his eyes and a sad smile appeared on her face. If he had blinked, he surely would have missed it, but he felt sad seeing her upset.
‘I still think it’s too early for you to be here Shouyou…but it’s not like I have a say in things like this…’ Hinata was confused to say the least. No matter how empty his mind was, he would have never forgotten meeting such a beauty like this before in his life. What could she possibly be talking about? ‘Come with me Shouyou. I have something to show you.’ His feet voluntarily moved against his will and followed the deity. As they were walking, the white vastness that was once scaring Hinata, seemed like long-lost home. He felt as they were walking through his home and the deity was just a guest that happened to stop by and visit. Nonetheless, something felt extremely wrong with this picture and too overbearing for Hinata to easily accept.
‘Wait!’ He abruptly stopped, the deity being forced to halt as well. She glanced behind to see Hinata looking at her with an unmistaken fire in his gaze. It was a look common for him and the deity couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight of it brought to life again. ‘Yes, Shouyou?’
Now that the deity was actually waiting for him to say something, he felt the pressure of it having to be something smart or at least something that made sense. He didn’t feel like embarrassing himself now. ‘Uhm..,’ he struggled to find any words that could describe what he was feeling and the need of comfort, w-who are you?’
Managing to blurt out a simple sentence, he cowered from the deity in fear that she would be angry with him and his question for some unknown reason. When nothing happened, he slowly opened his eyes and removed his arms, that were protecting his head, as the deity was still calmly looking at him. Only now, she looked hesitant. Hinata asked a simple question, why wouldn’t she have an answer to something so obvious and simple like that?
‘Shouyou,’ her eyes locked on his brown ones, any attempt to tare it away would have been futile. ‘My name is Sariel and I, Shouyou, am your guardian angel.’ She spoke very quietly, as if any louder tones would hurt the young adult standing in front of her. Expecting for him to break down in realization and sadness, she was quite shocked at the stoic face of Hinata. She believed he had not moved an inch since she came down on him with such information.
‘That’s..,’ he looked to be deciphering her words in his head, ‘SO COOL!’ Now it was Sariel’s turn to be shocked. She didn’t expect Hinata to react in such a way, not when she has been protecting the said boy for 23 years.
‘Shouyou-‘
‘You’re kind of like…my protector, right!’ His eyes shined brightly for the first time since he stepped into this place. An indescribable sense of comfort washed over him when she acknowledged his statement with a confused nod. ‘Sooo Sariel-san!’
‘Yes, Shouyou?’
‘You probably brought me here because I did something wrong, right! I mean, I am usually very chaotic and messy and happen to get myself stuck in the dumbest of situations, but like why couldn’t you just have come to me instead of bringing me here and I can’t even remem-‘
‘Shouyou!’ He halted his long monologue and looked closely at Sariel. The deity didn’t try to hide her sadness this time and Hinata felt the anxiousness brimming again and this time, it felt like it will stay there.
‘Shouyou…I-,’ hand cupping his cheek, she tried to calmly continue,’ you have passed away on Earth and I brought you here, to Heaven.’
Sariel was now certain Shouyou knew what she was talking about by the way his jaw dropped, the fire in his eyes diminishing and replaced with void, rapid twitching of his hands. Hinata Shouyou was falling into a state of shock and unfortunately, Sariel could not help him get over the loss of his life.
»»———————►
What Sariel hated most about her job was the shocked state the people she’s been guarding go through. Especially someone as young and full of life as Hinata Shouyou. She would never be prepared for the absolute denial, onslaught of tears and cries when they finally realize everything is really over for them and that they will never get another opportunity to see or hear their loved ones again. It was a never-ending cycle of despair that Sariel had to go through with every person. This time, said person was Hinata.
Now seated in front of a blank white wall, Sariel was waiting for Hinata to come out of his state of shock. Her neatly wrapped, white gown had become undone from his constant pulling and crying, his screams deafening and knees giving out on his weakened body. Shouyou reacted like every other person before him. There were cases where people happened to come to terms with their passing quickly and Sariel didn’t have to do much before sending them on their way to Heaven. People also get the chance to regain their lost memories by watching a video tape of their entire life before ascending further. Even though he didn’t have the strength to utter a single word, Hinata was able to provide her a weakly nod. He did want to see that video tape.
‘Shouyou? Are you ready?’ His blank stare was still pointed to the ground, fingers aimlessly pulling on the white T-shirt he was wearing. Another weakly nod. Sariel looked at him sadly, it was never easy trying to comfort such a young soul that had years left to live. Regrettably, Sariel could never have a say to who is to pass and who is to live a happily life. The only comfort she could provide each passing soul was a chance to relive all of the unforgettable and happy moments in their lives. She put in Hinata’s video tape and sat beside him, hand barely touching his knee, but still showing him that he wasn’t going to go through this transition.
A piercing baby’s wail echoed throughout the void, making Hinata jump. He looked at the screen in front of him when he saw a baby with distinctive orange hair crying beside a hospital bed, in which Hinata could easily recognize his mother. Like a renewed set of tears came out of him, Hinata chocked back a sob at the thought of never seeing his mother again. How she was never going to call Shouyou at ungodly times at night because she just can’t catch a grip with timezones or is just worried for him. There will never be that voice filled with pride when Hinata called to tell her they won another game or when it’s hardly above a whisper when she’s telling Hinata that she’s so proud of him, no matter what, after a loss.
‘You were such a beautiful baby Shouyou. When I got assigned to be your guardian angel, I couldn’t stop looking at you because you were easily the most beautiful baby I have ever seen in my line of work,’ her hand was rubbing comforting circles on his back and moved onto the next video.
Now, there was another piercing wail, but Shouyou didn’t recognize it as his own. Yet another curly, orange haired baby. This time, it was Natsu. Hinata, now a little boy, was standing beside his mother’s hospital bed and trying to get a good look of Natsu. His tiny fingers were clumsily trying to reach out to his new baby sister. Joy evident in his large, brown orbs. He had a sibling and someone to play with now!
‘Mommie! Can I play with her pleaseeeeeee!’Shouyou stared at his kid-self and cracked a smile through his broken facade. He always loved Natsu. She was his baby sister and Hinata, even though he was still fairly young himself, kept telling his mom how he’d always keep Natsu safe and happy. He’d go through her first boyfriend, breakup and heartbreak together with a tub of her favorite ice-cream placed between them. Remembering how last time he checked, Natsu didn’t have a boyfriend, Shouyou realized that he broke his promise.
‘I’m such a bad brother..,’ he looked at Sariel with a heartbroken look and tried to find comfort in her blue orbs. They were, surprisingly, really comforting and reminded him of Kageyama’s own blue orbs. They were an amazing shade of blue that beat the sky by a mile. Glancing back at the video, Hinata saw a compilation of all of the times Natsu and he played together, time and place varying. His sister was going to be growing up without her older brother there. There was really no forgiving him.
‘I was amazed by how much you loved her. Older children tend to have a certain annoyance and hate towards their younger sibling, because they are stealing all the attention. But,’ his eyes found hers again and saw a small glimmer of happiness in them,’ that was when I knew that you would forever be a good and helping soul. And I was not mistaken.’
The following videos are of his middle school friends, Izumi and Koji, and their multiple mischievous acts. Videos that didn’t fail to bring out a small chuckle from his mouth were the ones where Izumi tried to teach him basketball and Koji accidentally hit him in the face with the soccer ball because Hinata had the urge to become a goal man. That failed miserably and left Hinata with a bruise the following days.
‘W-what was the name of the middle school we went to?’’Yukigaoka Junior High. The next video is about your first volleyball match, heads up Shouyou.’
At those words, Hinata sharply turned his head, just in time to see him and Kageyama talking across the net. Looking at his boyfriend’s young features, Hinata teared up. There was no way he wasn’t going to feel his touch again or the way they kept teasing each other whenever their teams happened to collide in the V-League. His boyfriend was perfect back then too.
‘Your time at Karasuno is next.’
Hinata didn’t know how much more of this tape he could handle more. From meeting Kageyama for the first time in Karasuno’s gym, to having a spike landing straight on his face by Asahi. Even the training camps were there! And how we spent time with Fukurodani’s ace and that tall Russian from Nekoma!Kenma was also there playing his games and offering Hinata to play with him. Sugawara was always there to pat his head, Daichi to get him to focus, Tanaka and Noya to hype him up and all the other amazing teams he had the chance to meet and play with during his time at Karasuno. Ushijima was right there staing him down during the Preliminary Finals and Miya Atsumu was there to laugh at him when he forgot to spike during the Karasuno v. Inarizaki match.
‘You know, Shouyou, I’ve never been to Brazil before so thank you for giving me the opportunity to go there.’’U-uhm you’re welcome?’
Scenes of Hinata constantly being sunburnt and never wanting to leave the beach stuck with him really hard. It was the first time he went through such an endeavor all by himself, but he pulled through. It was also the period he missed Kageyama the most and they kept arguing with each other about who kept getting the time zones wrong because neither could get a decent amount of sleep with the phone constantly ringing.
‘I was always trying to get you out of the sun every way I can, but I always forget how stubborn you are Shouyou.’’Hehe sorry Sariel…I never enjoyed those sunburns either…’
They both noticed how Hinata became more open and kept commenting on some of the videos. Still through teary eyes, but a small smile from him was worth millions for Sariel. They get used to it, one way or the other. They come to terms with how they lived the way they did and that it was just their time. Every video tape is special. It contains our lost memories, good or bad, our deepest regrets and even deeper secrets. But that’s the beauty of life.
While Sariel was watching Hinata laugh at a video that was filmed during Black Jackal’s training and happened to capture one of Bokuto’s many childish antics, she knew that the video was ending soon and there was last final obstacle he had to go through.
‘Shouyou. This is the last video. After this..-‘’Everything is officially over…’
Hinata would be heading to his final resting place, Heaven. Outlines of stairs could be seen at the corner of the white void and he took a sharp intake of breath. Is it really going to end like this?
Suddenly, there was crying echoing. Neither Sariel or he were crying. He looked confused before Sariel pointed her finger towards the wall one last time. It was dark and raining. People dressed in black formed a circle around a grave. The video zoomed in on the grave, its writings stating:
‘This is the final resting place of Hinata Shouyou. A son, a brother, a friend and a teammate. Let him forever rest in peace.’
His family, friends and all the people he cared about and loved were standing there, watching as his casket was lowered to the ground. People giving speeches was also shown. Hinata knew all of his effort to come to terms with this situation has been useless because there was no way something like this actually happened to him, right?
‘Shouyou stop hurting yourself-‘
‘I CAN’T REALLY BE DEAD SARIEL. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME!?’ He tried to slap himself back to reality and hope that when he opens his eyes, his messy bedroom will meet his eyes. But it never worked. Each time Hinata opened his eyes, he faced the familiar white vastness and Sariel looking sadly at him. By the tenth time, Hinata let out a scream in frustration and broke down. Sariel was quick to come beside him and try her best to ease his aching soul with her deity presence.
‘S-Sariel *hiccup* i-it c-can’t *hiccup* end l-like this…’
‘Shouyou…I’m sorry, but it’s time for you to go.’ With her deity strength, she was able to get Hinata back up on his feet and trudging towards the Heavenly stairs. When she felt Shouyou was strong enough to hold himself up, she stepped away. Dare she say it, she was going to miss this little tangerine.
‘Sariel…’’I wish you the best Shouyou up there. I know you will feel happy there as well, you just have to let yourself go.’
Tears were rapidly spilling from his eyes, the bright light from behind him beautifully enchanting Sariel’s look. It was a one way ticket to Heaven. To the pearly gates that are awaiting his arrival. On that first step, he felt the memories of his loved ones sink in and Hinata found it hard to breathe. His foot was heavy as it took a step on the second one. Foot by foot, step by step, Hinata was almost there. He felt the welcoming light calm him and his soul. He was ready.
But, there was one thing constantly on his mind. Out of all his memories, Hinata was sure Kageyama took up a good portion of them. He failed to see any sole memories of the two together. Looking back over his shoulder, he saw Sariel wiping a stray tear that has fallen as she watched Hinata ascend.
‘Sariel!’ She looked up at Hinata, confused as to what he would want now.
‘Why wasn’t Tobio in any of my memories?’
He could feel an eerie silence, even though he was standing right in front the epitome of calmness. Sariel seemed to be thinking what to say as well. ‘Sarie-‘
‘Shouyou…The reason you can’t see Tobio in your memories is..,’ Hinata could feel the uneasiness oozing from Sariel. ‘You can’t see the person who is yet to cross over Shouyou.’
Hinata stood frozen right at the Gates of Heaven. That couldn’t possibly mean…?
‘W-wait, it’s not possible for that to happen unless-!?’
‘Shouyou. Tobio committed suicide the night of your funeral. I’m so sorry.’
»»———————►
There was no video tape precious enough to replace the memories he had of Tobio. He would have traded every memory from there just to have a clear image of his boyfriend in mind,h happy like it was once. But, Hinata didn’t get to choose. The only choice he made was to live his life to the fullest. He would be forever grateful to Sariel, who made sure to save him from as much trouble as possibly. But most of all, he was thankful to have had someone like Kageyama Tobio in his life. Even if it wasn’t made to last forever.

I've been thinking about slytherin! Tsukishima dating a slytherin! S/o who joined the death eater because their parent force 'em. And they were so depressed and always crying every night, then tsukishima noticed and then comfort 'em. They ended up ran away with tsuki and joined the battle of hogwarts to fight against voldemort. Oh my god i love this>-
Okay I love this PLUS I’m a Slytherin (according to Pottermore) BUT I have a confession
I never finished the Harry Potter series bc I couldn’t be bothered w Order Of The Phoenix THERE I SAID IT SUE ME UNFOLLOW ME IM A DISGRACE
I DID watch almost all the movies though
But don’t attack me if this one isn’t like 100% canonically accurate though please I cannot
Btw I’m not gonna do the fight YET I might make a part two idk lolol it’s a bit too much for one fic and I need to go read a summary of the fight-
Run away with me// Slytherin!Tsukishima Kei x Slytherin!Reader
Word Count: 1800+
Warnings: None
Summary: Controlling parents are never good, especially when they force you to side with evil.
“They forced you to do what?” Tsukishima was beyond furious. Fuming. He was absolutely ready to murder your parents if you didn’t do it first.
“Kei, stay quiet! They’re gonna kill us both if they hear you!”
“Do I look like I give a flying fuck right now?”
You looked at the floor, the guilt slowly consuming you as you avoided his piercing glare. How could you face him, when you broke such a huge promise you made to one of the most emotionally unstable people you know? Fiddling with your fingers, you racked your brain, hoping to find a sensible explanation for what you did. “I didn’t have a choice! You really think I would give up on everything? Give up on you, my friends, my education, my hopes and dreams, just to fight alongside Voldemort? You seriously think I would be heartless enough, to kill innocent wizards?” If anyone was around and heard your words, you would’ve been sent to Dumbledore instantly, maybe even gotten executed for treason. Just the slightest mention of He Who Shall Not Be Named, or the death eaters, was enough to trigger almost all the staff and students, especially with the situation going on in the wizarding world currently. With Voldemort back from the dead and on the loose, Hogwarts has one upped their security, the atmosphere tenser than ever.
Hearing the click of a door, Tsukishima clamped his large hand over your mouth, the other gripping your waist as he pulled you into the tall grass, putting a finger over his lips. From the hut, stumbled out a wobbly, possibly drunk Hagrid, a huge ass axe in hand. “WHAT’S THAT EVIL SHIT YER TALKIN’ BOUT HUH? COME ON OUT MUGGERS! I’LL GIVE YER A PIECE O’ THIS!” The man swung the axe from side to side, as if he was expecting it to hit someone. Not seeing blood on the blade, the shaggy haired wizard mumbled a few curses, swinging the wooden door open as he stumbled back in, tripping on his own two feet as he dropped the axe far away, the blade sinking itself into the wooden material of his little hut. Scrambling back to his feet, he grabbed the doorknob angrily, slamming the door shut with a heavy thud and a gust of wind.
The blond poked his head out slightly, looking around to check for people that might be lurking in the darkness. Sighing in relief, he sat himself back down on the ground, crossing his arms. Sweating, you bit on your nails nervously, anticipating his next words.
“Why was I in the dark about this?”
“Because you would leave me.”
His brows knitted together in confusion and pain.
“I won’t. I’m just mad.”
“You would if you knew more about me.”
Tsukishima may be a Slytherin, but that didn’t mean he wanted it. You saw the incredibly disheartened look on his face when the sorting hat blurted out the house. He refused to talk to anyone for days. He got in trouble countless of times for talking back to Snape. Everyone, even you, hated him. He was disrespectful, irritating, provoking, and inconsiderate to everyone that crossed paths with him. It wasn’t until months later, did you realise the reasoning behind his rotten attitude for his house. A fight broke out between Hinata and Tsukishima, with Hinata screaming about how the latter had no right to be disrespectful to his seniors. That was the exact moment, when the entire school was graced with his story. Later that night, you approached him, apologetic for your attitude towards him and hoping to understand more. Turns out both his parents were killed by death eaters. He was eight, and watched as his parents burned to ashes in front of him, the two murderers laughing to the screams and cries of agony. He was quick to run to safety, the two wizards too occupied with killing his parents to pay any attention to him. Since then, he’s never had a proper home, running errands for whoever would pay him even just the minimal amount of money. His dream was to get into Hogwarts, and kill the ones that eliminated his parents from the world, but his one condition was to never get into Slytherin. He was not going to associate himself with those disdainful, cold blooded murderers known as the death eaters. It wasn’t a surprise he would be furious about this.
You were now a shaking mess, not even noticing the tears that were streaming down your skin. The moon reflected off Tsukishima’s glasses, a look of fury and sorrow buried in his dull irises. The two of you sat in silence, not knowing what to say to the other. You cursed yourself. Why did fate have to do this? Why did fate have to send your soul to a pair of death eaters? The two death eaters that bragged to eight year old you about the victims they tortured, and eventually murdered, masking the truth and portraying it as if it was something to be proud of? Why did you have to fall for their victim’s son? Why were they so goddamn desperate to turn you into one of them? You’ve known all three of the Unforgivable Curses since you were merely a preteen. You constantly feared for your life in Hogwarts. You knew how powerful your parents were. If you disobeyed them, they could’ve had all your friends, everyone you’ve ever cared for, dead in a heartbeat. As a result of that, you never revealed anything about your family, not wanting to give anything away. However, that didn’t work with Tsukishima. Infatuation is a dangerous feat. Before you knew it, the two of you were meeting in Hagrid’s field every night, getting to know each other better. Your parents being death eaters accidentally slipped out one night, and for the next week, Tsukishima refused to talk to you at all. He avoided you everywhere, sat as far away from you as possible at dinner, left you waiting for hours in the field. And yet despite his cold attitude towards you, not once did you leave him alone. Maybe that was what he really admired about you.
A sob erupted from your throat, breaking the silence of the dark, cloudless night. You were done. You were done with this. You were done with hiding your problems from him. You were done with hiding your past, your parents, your feelings, everything. The suffocating guilt, the strained throb of your heart, you were sorry. You were sorry for not telling him anything earlier on. You hated yourself for being born to two cold blooded murderers. You hated yourself for acting weak in front of him right now, but the chord just snapped. The thin, thin chord that held your emotions just gave out, and you burst into tears. Hot, salty, flowing tears. You fell forward as your hands held you up, head bowed down and shaking. Your tears wouldn’t stop, flinging themselves onto the floor as Tsukishima just stared.
“WHY? WHY DID I HAVE TO BE BORN LIKE THIS? I CAN’T DO THIS! I DON’T WANT TO! I HATE THEM! MURDERERS! FUCKING KILLERS! I CAN’T BELIEVE THEM, SERIOUSLY! OH, AND WHY, OF ALL PEOPLE, DID I HAVE TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU? WHY YOU? YOU SHOULD HATE ME! THAT’S HOW IT SHOULD BE!”
Salty droplets clumped up in your eyelashes, rolled to the corners of your lips, into your mouth, you could taste the warm liquid on your tongue. The blond was frozen. Never had he ever seen you like this, crying and wailing as you put yourself down for something that was out of your control. He was confused, because one thing lingered in his mind.
“I should hate you? What are you talking about?”
Chuckling hopelessly, you sniffled, enjoying the last few seconds of his obliviousness.
“Oh yeah, I never told you. My parents killed yours and bragged about it at home afterwards. I was eight.”
Something in Tsukishima’s heart dropped as his mouth staggered open. “Your parents were the killers?” You continued to laugh manically, screams emitting from your throat despite feeling empty inside. “Yeah, so hate me. Leave me. Don’t make yourself suffer any more.” Tears glistened in his eyes as his words got caught in his throat. Her parents were the murderers. Let her go. She’s becoming one of them as well. “Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!” Gripping his head, Tsukishima screamed, trying to block out the deafening voice in his head that urged him to just get up and walk away, break all ties with you, throw everything into the abyss, never to be seen again. The thoughts were dizzying as he fell to the ground, curled up. “I’m...sorry. I’m so, so... sorry.” His cries of agony never stopped. Desperate to comfort him, you slowly got up to your knees, leaning forward and grabbing his shoulders as you forced him to look at you. Your eyes were desperate, shaking and watery. “I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I don’t want to become one of them. I don’t care if you hate me, or leave me, or kill me. You have all the right reasons to. Just please... help me.” What you expected, was for him to fling you away. What he did, was lunge forward, arms wrapping around your neck as his head landed on the side of it, tears making your skin wet as he continued to cry.
“Kei, I’m so sorry.”
No reply.
“It’s okay, I’ll love you even if you don’t feel the same way anymore.”
“No.”
His mumble sent vibrations down your neck, waking your entire body up. Strained breaths made their way into the cold night air. Wrapping your arms around him, silent tears continued to roll down your cheeks as you held him tighter, refusing to let go.
“Run away with me. I’m done with all this. I’m not gonna leave you, ever. I love you. I don’t care if your parents killed mine, or if you’re being forced to join the death eater. Come with me. We can run away to who knows where. No one will find us, maybe finally we’ll be free. We can get fake identities, hide in the city, I don’t care. I’ll keep my owl here, when the school finally fights the death eaters, he’ll tell us, then we’ll come back. I’m sick of constantly waiting for evil to knock on our door. Let’s just go and live how we want. Run away with me, (Y/N).”
An arm extended towards you, willing for you to take it.
“You’re absolutely insane Kei, I’ll come with you.”
Grabbing his hand, you hoisted yourself up, giving him another tight hug.
“You wanna go now?”
“Yeah, let’s just go.”
And the two of you run.
You run, and run.
Away from the school.
Away from your friends.
Away from your belongings.
And you don’t stop.

it hurts. it hurts so much to see hinata like this. the girl stood there, floored to see such a familiar face strike her down. her breath hushed across the valley of unsuspecting lips, a hand drawn up to her chest in shock. her heart shot like a rocket into her throat, worry biting down & pinching maw taut in case a whimper saw through her nigh expressionless facade.
hajime, just how long had he been searching? hope had come to its final curtain yet chiaki had tried so hard to protect what sparkle remained in the hearts of her class. through everything, that had been her priority. her saving grace. a wave of pain courses like acid through her veins, nanami quickly falling susceptible to her weight & collapsing to her knees. her chin ducked to hide the sting of tears rising on hot cheeks, words jammed in her heart - unable to solidify & produce to her friend.
❛ - i. . . - ❜ if she hadn’t said the things back then, those meaningful words without harmful intention. . . this wouldn’t have -- it felt like her heart was shattering, like her entirety was being deleted from a core system. anguish wrote across her face in a vast array of colors, a soft wail choking out from chiaki as her dam broke. large sleeves were brought to her eyes, hot flecks of duress spilling down her visage. water stained her fabrics, her reddened features shown no mercy as eyes finally built the courage to find hajime’s gaze.
❛ - i could’ve done more. . . i should’ve. said more. cared more; more than i already do. maybe my heart wasn’t big enough? hi- hinata. . . - ❜ crumbling like the last of her bravery, nanami let her forehead touch the floor, hands met in a graceless bow as she sobbed openly against the earth. lungs stung for air & coughed hiccups with every barely fleshed inhalation the gamer gasped for. her misery was contagious - years of guilt for words spoken to her most cherished friend.
she had done all she could for him. yet it wasn’t enough. it didn’t feel that way to her, at least. his name escaped her countless times as the soft bunny caved, her bleeding heart leaving a puddle beneath her canvas. woes blurred into aches, body quivering as chiaki let gentle hands ball into fists. ❛ - hin. . . nata! i - i’m so sorry. . . - ❜

I turn away, flushed, but the gasps of many of the rest of the team (including Shouyou) make it clear what had happened. Tanaka, of course, wails yet again. I glance over just in time to see him throwing himself to the floor, sobbing. Nishinoya falls to his knees, one hand rubbing Tanaka's shoulder comfortingly, the other covering his mouth in shock. Tears stream down his face, as well.

A Ridiculous Idea Part 2
Title : A Ridiculous Idea
Chapter 2
DISCLAIMER : I do not own Naruto, its franchise or anything related to it. All recognisable characters, situations and premises are copyright of Masashi Kishimoto, Shueisha, Shonen Jump and Viz Media.
SPECIFIC DISCLAIMER : This fanfiction is a sequel to The Other Talk and its sequel The Other Other Talk. Both are fanfictions written by KuriQuinn and thus her intellectual property. I have taken permission from her to write and publish a sequel to them. Therefore I will try my best to stick to events and interpretations of characters according to her. The keyword here being “try”.
Author Note : Thank you KuriQuinn for the permission. This is my second attempt at fanfiction. Also I am not KuriQuinn, so the writing style will be different. Please bear with me. English is not my native tongue. The variant of English used here is Indian. I have also used my own headcanons , so it might not be an exact sequel but whatever.
As long as you enjoy it, it does not matter.
Alright I wrote this before Episode 8 came out so I don’t think I can stick to canon anymore. This is a fanfic anyway. Also I thought of making this a five part series earlier but now it will probably be a three parter. Therefore, I am renaming the prologue as Chapter 1. This chapter is long and goes a bit in depth with the situation but I will try to steer it back to lightheartedness in the next one.
I don’t know about other countries but in India, marriage registration and weddings are not the same. There is a civil wedding and a legal marriage. If your marriage is registered, then you are legally married but a civil wedding is almost always happens alongside it. It gives societal legitimacy and acknowledgement by the family, the extended clan and the society. If you got married in a civil wedding but didn’t register yet, your wedding will be considered legally valid but it leaves you in a precarious situation if you ever have to prove your marital status especially if you don’t have photos or wedding guests or distant relatives to vouch for the wedding.

A veil of whispers and murmurs descends upon the assembly. Naruto nods to Shizune who informs the clans’ leaders that the emergency meeting was over. As the last of the leaders file out, a handful of close and relevant people stay back. Shikamaru shuts the door of the hall in order to ensure complete privacy for what was to come next.
“This is utterly outrageous.” Koharu bites out furiously through her toothless mouth.
“The sole Uchiha scion and one of the only two Uzumaki scions cannot marry each other. They have to marry someone else in order to carry on their clan lineages. They are the clan leaders on top of that. Two clan leaders marrying each other is unprecedented. Seventh, you must track your son and your apprentice down. You must stop them before this sacrilege occurs.”
“They love each other. And they want to merge the two clans - the Uchiha and the Uzumaki - into one.” Naruto informs her tiredly.
After all, Himawari’s prodigious Byakugan prowess qualifies her for the leadership of the Hyuga. Even though he doesn’t want it for her, Himawari’s enthusiasm and closeness to her maternal clan has elevated her to the status of the unofficial Hyuga heiress who will succeed her still childless and unmarried aunt. Perhaps if he tries, Naruto can persuade her to carry on the Uzumaki lineage for the sake of the village but he knows that Himawari’s happiness lies in the Hyuga. Her smile is something he can die for to protect.
Koharu and Homura stare at him scandalised.
“Clans branching out is one thing, clans merging together is unheard of-” A laughter cuts off Homura.
Hanabi rolls down to the floor at this point, her stomach aching due to incessant laughter.
Kakashi, his eyes crinkling, grins behind his mask, cementing his status as the only one besides her in the entire hall who is amused at the situation.
“This is outrageous! There is no way that those two are getting away with this.”
Sasuke hisses at Hiashi’s thunderous declaration, his head stubbornly throbbing in pain.
“I had an entire wedding planned out for those two!” Ino wails out, sobbing. Her doting aunt tendencies were at their strongest for Sarada, despite her niece’s stubborn aversion to cheesy romances.
“Well, everyone knew that Boruto and Sarada were meant to be. I mean, everybody knew they were in love with each other since they were in diapers.” Iruka was met with sour looks from Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke shoots him a dirty glare while Hinata shuts her eyes and pinches the bridge of her nose in exasperation, her other arm wrapping around her middle consolingly.
Shino sighs at this. Chouji tries to nervously evade looking at the concerned foursome.
“It’s like it was just yesterday when they were twelve or thirteen. All blushy-blushy over each other and Boruto declaring that he will protect Sarada and support her as Hokage and what not.” Moegi reminisces, a bright grin slowly breaking out on her face. The new Ino-Shika-Cho sniggers at this.
“Yeah, we even have a bet going on who will realise their feelings first and who will confess first. With Naruto and Sasuke’s dense and oblivious genes being unfortunately dominant, nobody thought that it will amount to anything before they turned twenty or something.” Tsunade turns towards Shizune.
Naruto raises an eyebrow at this declaration.
“It is a village-wide bet.” Shizune admits shamefacedly.
“Forget that. They won’t be able to get married. They both are underage.” Temari brings everyone back to the point.
“Well, the law states that the marriageable age is sixteen. Although you need parental permission to get married before turning eighteen.” Shikamaru wants this meeting to be over as soon as possible. Perhaps a cup or two of really strong alcohol might just do him some good.
“Temari’s right. Once the two realise that they won’t be able to get married without your legal permission, they will come back on their own.” Sai tries to reassure his former teammates and Hinata.
“They won’t come back.” Hinata’s quiet statement can be heard over the babel.
“And why not?” is all a frowning Konohamaru manages with broken jaw.
“Because they have our written permission.” Sakura informs dryly.
The hall falls silent.
“What the hell, Sakura?! Why would you guys give them permission to get married while they are still underage? They could have easily waited till they both turned eighteen. That’s a little over an year away!” Ino screeches at her best friend.
“Sarada is pregnant.” Sasuke informs them darkly, the words coming out from a far away place. At least in Sasuke’s mind.
The assembly looks at Sasuke in utter silence.
“Who’s the fa-” Sai cuts himself off as he realises the utter stupidity of his question.
“When did this happen?” Temari demands.
“Well, Sarada is six weeks pregnant.” Naruto replies with a sigh.
The entire assembly stills at the implication of these words.
Two months ago, Uzumaki Boruto was sent on a highly dangerous S-ranked mission. Despite the support of the new triclan team, the mission took a dangerous turn when Kawaki got involved. Sarada and Mitsuki had to be sent in. Boruto completed his mission but Kawaki escaped. Not before fatally injuring the former, one which put him in a week long coma, ripped his vitals apart and nearly costed him his dojutsu and life. It was only due to the timely and combined medical intervention of Sarada, Mitsuki and Inojin that Boruto came out of this mission alive. The scar running down Boruto’s right eye is no longer angrily red but still serves as a reminder of the near-death experience.
Naruto looks at the third Sannin for an explanation. Mitsuki shrugs.
“Sarada was hysterical when Boruto went into coma. We had to knock her out to let her body rest a bit. We left them alone after Boruto woke up because all he would do at that point of time was to ask for Sarada. No one disturbed them after that. At least not for the night after he woke up.”
Mitsuki’s account fitted together with what the Uzumaki and Uchiha couples could glean out from their children after Sasuke calmed down enough from attempting to murder his student. The teenaged couple was reluctant to give out details but eventually under Hinata’s disappointed stare, the one which always made Sasuke feel as though he has kicked a puppy, they gave in.
Underneath what at first seemed to be immature and rebellious teenage dating and sex, and consequent irresponsibly accidental pregnancy, a different story emerged, albeit if only by a bit.
Boruto’s near-death experience had brought him and Sarada to terms with their deep-rooted feelings for each other. Their verbal confirmation of mutual love, trust and commitment was followed by a physical reaffirmation of their passion for each other. Undisturbed by their teammates and traumatised by their experience, the new couple forgot about everything except each other. Everything including something very important.
Contraception.
They had dated for a month after that under the guise of medical checkups, recuperative exercises and training, mostly because they knew their fathers would immediately deem their relationship to be inappropriate or immature or both, before one evening, Sarada began feeling nauseated at the smell of fried octopus while on a date. Boruto had used his dojutsu in order to figure out whether her chakra was off-balance or not. All he saw was a foreign chakra in her lower belly.
Sarada and Boruto were left staring at each other, frozen in shock, as the possible implication seeped in. After several pregnancy tests bought by Boruto’s henged shadow clones, Sarada confirmed her pregnancy.
After initial bafflement, a mild tantrum and some tears later, joy and laughter filled the otherwise empty Uchiha household. Boruto had proposed marriage to Sarada who answered it with pushing him into the nearest bedroom and getting down on her knees.
Unfortunately, the said bedroom belonged to her parents who were not supposed to be in the village for some time. The said parents had returned without a warning.
Once the Uchiha couple got over their initial trauma, they called a kangaroo meeting with their daughter’s boyfriend at the Ichiraku. The meeting ended with Sarada breaking Konohamaru’s jaw for his uninvited interference and Sakura being generally threatening. Boruto had not spoken a word since then and his back had begun to hurt due to rigidity. Sasuke’s death glares might have something to do with it.
When the news reached the Uzumaki couple, Hinata and Naruto were at a loss for words, embarrassment and bafflement being their default settings.
After accidently informing their parents about their pregnancy later that night at dinner at the Uzumaki residence, Sarada had stubbornly refused to back down after her father attempted to murder the father of her child. Sasuke’s irrational anger at that point was met with immature tantrums and comebacks from Sarada’s side. Which was enough to tire her out sooner that expected. Boruto had caught her before she could hit the floor.
His piercing blue eye met his mentor’s mismatched black and violet ones. For the first time in his life, Sasuke felt afraid of his student.
While Sakura checked up on her daughter, scanning her with Mystical Palms and asking her general questions regarding her health, pregnancy and sex life, Hinata had walked Himawari to the Hyuuga Compound where she would be spending the night. Kakashi stuck around hoping to dissipate tensions. Once they all gathered back in the Uzumaki living room, Boruto and Sarada sat down with their parents and Kakashi, hoping to come to a rational resolution.
Protectively wrapping his arms around her, Boruto explained rationally what Sarada was expressing emotionally.
That he and Sarada loved each other. Had done so for years.
That they were dating seriously. And sleeping together. And had no intentions of ever taking a break.
That they were going to become parents.
That their child is the proof of their love for each other.
That they wanted to get married.
That even without the baby, they would have gotten married the day Sarada turned eighteen.
That he and Sarada had enough money to establish a married life and family of their own. Being talented at a young age meant being sent on high ranking missions early irrespective of their nin rank which translated to a high income.
That all they wanted was love and support from both sets of their parents for their child and themselves.
And of course, being still underage, their permission to get married as soon as possible given the circumstances.
Sasuke had stormed out of the house at the end of this conversation. Sarada was reduced to tears while Boruto tried to console her.
Sakura was furious at this point. Whether it was at her husband or daughter or the situation itself was unknown. Possibly the first option because she stormed out of the Uzumaki residence as well after telling Sarada that she is going to put her father in his place.
Hinata and Naruto seemed bewildered even at this point. But soon, Naruto sat down to lecture Boruto on irresponsibility - general, sexual and marital. Hinata diced some fruits and along with a bowl of custard managed to draw Sarada into a conversation over them. Kakashi wandered off outside, hoping to catch his two former students before they damaged public property.
He soon found the couple at an all-night bar. Sasuke could have been mistaken for being passed out on Sakura’s lap after what seemed to be several bottles of very high grade sake.
Except he was sobbing quite audibly. The loss of his only beloved daughter to another man was just too much for him to bear.
Sakura was gently patting her husband’s head, her face decidedly softened since the entire drama began. As she caught Kakashi’s eye, she gently informed her husband about the onlooker. Sasuke immediately pulled himself up to sit straight, swaying a little, and glaring drunkenly at Kakashi, daring him silently to repeat this to Naruto. Kakashi merely smiled in amusement and joined them, ordering shochu for himself and umeshu for Sakura.
Half an hour later, they were joined by Naruto and Hinata. He was carrying a marriage contract. One with an underage permission clause attached to it.
Hinata informed Sakura as the latter poured out a cup of umeshu for the former that Boruto and Sarada had decided to spend the night together at a hotel. Sasuke made an attempt to bolt out of there but Sakura’s steady glare pinned him down.
Naruto broached out the subject of unifying the two clans. It was something unheard of before. Boruto and Sarada’s status as clan leaders easily disqualified each other as a marriage candidate for each other. But Boruto figured that if the two clans were merged into one, something that should not be very difficult granted the meagre number of both the Uchiha and the Uzumaki, he and Sarada, as the joint co-leaders of the new clan, could welcome their child without the explosive question of which clan did he or she belong to. The question of kekkei genkai was a different matter altogether, one which was dependent on sheer luck.
Ultimately, all four of the parents decided to sign over the contract. The reality of a grandchild was becoming more dominant over their children’s idiocy. The two to-be grandmothers began discussing the cuteness and gender of the unborn baby, while Naruto and Sasuke ended up having a chakraless fist fight after the former goaded the latter by saying that he will be the more favourite one out of the two grandfathers. Kakashi smiled in serene satisfaction.
Since the clock at the bar already read 3:43 AM, Hinata thought it would be best to just discreetly have it delivered to their children via one of Sasuke’s hawk summons. It would certainly cheer up both their children, Sarada more specifically to be honest. Half an hour later, they received a note from Boruto thanking them for everything.
Naruto announced that he would be heading to the Hokage’s office. Clan merging or whatever would need a good amount of legal paperwork.
Sasuke and Sakura decided to return to their home. Sasuke being wobbly on his feet had to be supported by Sakura. Hinata decided to go over to the Hyuga Compound, hoping to meet her father personally and inform him about this turn of events. Kakashi decided to stay back at the bar, surrounding himself with more alcohol and pulling out his orange book.
At 6:00 AM, Naruto sought out Shikamaru for advice on legal aspects of the merger.
At 7:30 AM, he called for an emergency meeting of clan leaders at 9:00 AM in which Boruto and Sarada’s upcoming nuptials would be announced. A private meeting with the Konoha Council was avoided, firstly because it was a private family matter, and secondly, because of the excessive high-handed nosiness of the two Elders. With all the legal paperwork set right, thanks to a disgruntled and unsettled Shikamaru and his genius brain, Naruto knew the two oldies could no longer interfere.
At 8:50 AM, he was presented a letter by a very calm and pleased Mitsuki.
It explained in Boruto’s rather neat handwriting that he and Sarada are eloping.
That they had registered their marriage at the Konoha Marriage Registration Office at 8:10 AM. The new Ino-Shika-Cho served as their three witnesses.
That he and Sarada intend to exchange vows somewhere alone and to have a long honeymoon as they know that they won’t get any alone time together once the baby was born.
That he hopes that they forgive them.
That they will write to them every week.
That they will be back before the due date because Sarada wants her mother to be the midwife.
And that they will have another wedding just for their parents and the rest of the village on their first wedding anniversary.
At 8:58 AM, a murderous Sasuke had his ribs broken by Sakura when they learnt about this. Hinata was informed discreetly by Shikamaru just prior to the start of the meeting. The look she sent in the direction of the village gates was spine-chilling.
Koharu is the first to gain back her footing.
“This is a sacrilege! What kind of an abomination would this child be?! Born of a half-breed Uchiha and a hybrid of Uzumaki and Hyuga? Seventh, you not only need to stop these two, separate them and forbid them from seeing each other ever again, but also annul this marriage.”
Homura agrees to this, “But first of all, Hokage, you must ensure that this monster of a child is not born. The bloodlines of Byakugan and Sharingan mixing into one being will yield no good.”
Everyone turns towards them in slow motion as the words sink. The room’s temperature drops by a good several degrees.
Sakura is the first to act in the defence of her child’s child. Homura is thrown out of the conference hall on the fourth floor of the Hokage office building, the glass window shattering on his head while on his path down.
Koharu has her chakra points blocked by an absolutely furious Hinata, her activated Byakugan ablaze with fury. Her pointed fingers threaten to damage her heart if the Elder moves even a little.
Naruto feels anger leaving his tensed shoulders as he nods to Shizune to pick up Koharu and send her to the hospital and on her way there, also pick up Homura if he is still alive even after having each and every bone shattered by Sakura’s punch. Sasuke’s broken ribs were the only thing which prevented him from going after the duo and ensuring their demise. The murderous intent of the rest of the gathering was ebbing was well.
The whole group of friends and extended honorary family was protective about the future Ninth Hokage and her bodyguard. Quite naturally, it was immediately and instinctively extended to their child.
A cool wave of exasperated silence and exhausted contemplation washes over the occupants of the hall.
Sai laughs out. “Well, I suppose this is karma. “
“For what?” Sasuke raises an eyebrow at him.
“For having a year long sexathlon of a honeymoon and giving birth to a secret baby about whom no one knew outside the village.” Ino trills in.
Sasuke groans out loud while general amusement at his expense ensues.
Everything will be fine, Naruto supposes. As his eyes meet Hinata’s, a smile blossoming on her face, Naruto feels lighters, happier, giddier.
A grandchild would be nice, he thinks. Yeah, it would be very nice.
“Well, if anything, all this will come back to bite them in the ass.” Sakura says lightly. A tremor of devilish amusement enters her voice. A dangerous smirk slowly snakes out on her increasingly gleeful face.
“What do you mean by that?” Hinata frowns.
“I found this out while I examined Sarada. I wanted to inform Boruto and Sarada about this after the meeting but since they have decided to behave irresponsibly and idiotically again, I suppose it will be cosmic punishment when they learn about this.”
“Learn about what? Is the baby and Sarada alright?” Sasuke asks.
“ You mean the babies.”
“Huh?” The entire group looks at her bewildered.
“Boruto and Sarada are going to have twins.” Sakura says happily.
Naruto feels a sense of dread entering him. Flashbacks of Boruto’s antics in childhood and admittedly his own come back to the fore.
Konoha is truly doomed, he thinks meekly.

Could you write a drabble where Hanzo leaves their past s/o for whatever reason but doesn't know that she was pregnant at the time. So now it's ten years later and she believes Hanzo's dead and raises their child on her own but Hanzo has actually just been in hiding all these years. But guilt finally eats him up and he tracks her down and she's really sad, happy, and angry to see him again and Hanzo gets to meet his son and yeah. Idk, if that made any sense but thanks! 💕
(( i went a lil overboard with this lol i hope you like @thezero ))
“I need you to understand that I never loved you. What we had was a fling.” The harsh words flew out of his mouth as he faced the door. That was a lie, it couldn’t be true. You and he had dated for almost six months, that’s not- it can’t be a fling.
“Fuck you! Six months is a ‘fling’!? You’re lying! Tell me what’s really wrong Hanzo!” You shouted, words filling the empty space between you both. He stood, back towards you facing the door.
“What’s wrong is that you fell in love too easily.” The venomous words fell freely from his mouth, as simple as how he used to proclaim his love for you. A sob escaped you, and he walked out the door. He barely made it down the block before falling to his knees, a wail of despair escaping his lips. It was drowned out by the voice in his head telling him that this is what he had to do.
You would never love a killer, much less a killer that was going to kill his own blood; his brother. He caught his quivering breath somehow, and stood back up. Yes, tonight he had to kill Genji, but he didn’t have to break up with you. No, he had to do much more. He had to make you hate him. That way, you wouldn’t have to be more hurt than you were going to be if you found out about Genji.
What he didn’t see was the pregnancy test on the counter, along with the stuff bear happily proclaiming “My First Bear!” along its soft and fuzzy tummy. All he could remember was the crushed look on your face, the sob escaping your lips as he spit his words at you with such a fury you had never had directed towards you. He had succeeded. You hated him, and that’s what hurt you the most.
Nearly a decade later, your son was playing outside. He tried to catch a cricket, but the little insect flew away just in time. You smiled at him.
“Oi, come back over here!” You called out to him. He turned to you and his eyes met yours with a smile. He had his father’s eyes….
Refusing to fall into that pity of self despair, you snapped yourself back to reality. Finishing your garden work, you called for your son. He followed you obediently, and you almost ruffled your hair before you realized there was still dirt on your gloves. He sat down at the table and started kicking around his feet. He started talking about his school day to you, and you responded.
During a lecture from your son on the difference between long division and fractions that he learned, a knock was heard at the door. You wiped your hands off, and walked to the door. Opening it you saw a face you never thought or hoped you would see again.
“…(Y/n)….” He said, looking at your face up and down. He was trying to imprint the look that you had, but he realized that you were shaking with rage. He looked worn down, as if he hadn’t slept in forever. Gray hairs were scattered in his hair giving him a wise elderly look.
“You’re not welcome here.” You stated plainly. You tried to close the door, but he stopped it with his hand. He wasn’t looking at you any more. Now, he was looking past you at his son. You gasped.
“Mom, who is that?” He asked, his eyes looking back to their twin. The older pair of eyes were wide in shock, looking at the hair and eyes that were so familiar, but different. For the first time in ten years, for the first time since your son was born, he saw his father.
“You never told me…” He said. You turned back to him.
“You never gave me the chance to tell you! I was so excited, ten years ago. I thought I could have a family, but then you ruined it!” This time the venom was spat from your lips. He reeled back, hurt. Deep inside him, he had hoped that you would forgive him. Hanzo knew now that he was wrong to even begin to think that. He nodded his head.
“Please let me explain everything. It’s a long story, but you deserve to hear it.” He said. He looked at you, and your resolve failed. You opened the door, and pointed towards the couch.
“Hanzo, meet your son. Hinata, this is your father.”
