elaborating on why im starting this thread now in the following reblog just to keep the main tag post short. so:

obligatory spoiler warning for people stumbling across this in the main tag. this thread will definitely include screenshots from later game areas and will NOT be spoiler free.

irrespective of that disclaimer, some background info: i am a native cantonese speaker who is also fluent in mandarin, so my critique and commentary will be coming from the angle of both languages, as well as my understanding of english. to note is that i also sometimes include pronunciation of certain things in mandarin, and then cantonese; for future reference, the format will look like this: [reference to what is being said] (Mandarin translation)/(Cantonese translation).
