I got a call from Stephanie McMahon asking if me and my band could come preform on Monday night raw and Of course we agreed. We were on the next flight to Davenport Iowa when I was scrolling through twitter looking at WWE’s feed, I had stopped on a particular post it was wishing Seth Rollins a happy birthday and I put two and two together. That’s why we were going there. I couldn’t denie he was attractive I cleared the feed off my phone, I put my head phones on and hit shuffle on my music. When we finally landed, we walked towards the baggage carousel.

My black boots made a noise against the ground we had made sure to put on disguises so no one would know who we were. We wanted it to be a scecret as possible, my best friend walked up and looked at me. “Oh come on Y/N it’s not that big of a deal it’s just wwe it’s not like it’s a secret.” I looked at him shaking my head in disbelief. “I know but just in case let’s just stay like this please.” He rubbed his hands over his face letting out a low groan. “Okay fine but you owe me big time.” I roll my eyes at him and I rub his head. “Oh hush this little costume won’t kill you it’s only for a few more hours.”

We arrived at the arena for Monday night raw and I started to get nervous, I have no idea why I’ve always been calm before a show it’s always been one of my band memebers who got nervous never me. I played with the end of my jet black and fire engine red hair, I sat in hair and make up thinking of what to wear, I didn’t know if I wanted to do my usual black skinny jeans and t-shirt or if I wanted to wear a dress. I decided to just wear my usual, I put black heel boots on. We were last of the show so we had some time, I was doing my vocal warm ups when one of the backstage producers knocked on the door, I told them to come in and the let us know we had 10 minutes.

I looked around at my team and my band and the smiles at me. “Y/N are you ready to do this?” I looked at my manager and I nodded my head. “Yes but what if we don’t sing that guys favorite song?” She raise and eyebrow at me and kinda smirked at me. “Who says it’s for his birthday?” “Well I was looking at their feed on Instagram and his birthday today and he only listens to rock/metal music so I kinda put two and two together.” I replied and she didn’t say anything my drummer went to say something but was interrupted by the camera guy telling us we had to get into position.

Apparently they had picked out everything for us, our set list, our theme and the rest. We watched Stephanie on the monitor and they told us our cue, she smiled widely at looked at Seth. “Well Seth since you just turned 33 we wanted it to be something you’d remember so we flew out bring me the horizon.” I looked at my band and they nodded their heads and we walked through the curtain and saw the quick look of disbelief on Seth’s face and when he saw me first walk out his hand went over his mouth. I smile as the crowd erupted into defining screams.

I went down the ramp touching the hands with fans, taking pictures with most if not all of them. I walked up the steps with my band not too far behind me, Seth quickly walked over and held the ropes open for me, I walked through them and I sent him a playful wink making him blush. I walked over to Stephanie and hunter and hugged them both, I walked over to the lead microphone and I looked at my band members and watched Stephanie, hunter and Seth exit the ring my guitarist started playing a the beginning of our song wonderful life and the arena got quite for a minute and I started the intro and the crowd started singing with me and my guitarist.

The part where I screamed came up, I could tell the crowed was waiting to see if I was going to do it or not. I had made glances at Seth while our intro was happening and he slowly started bobbing his head and when I scream the whole arena erupted into cheers and Seth was head banging. Seeing him enjoy is live made me happy but while they kept singing I got out of the ring and let him come in the ring with us. Before he got in the rings few of the front rows were near the barricade jumping with us. Now believe it or not when Seth got in the ring everyone had their flash lights on jumping up and down, it was honestly breath taking how many people here loved our music.

We preformed with ease with jumping, screaming, I’m sure everyone was surprised I didn’t break my ankle because I was in heeled boots but I’ve always jumped in my performances so my ankles were use to me. I could tell Seth was having the time of his life preforming with us, I was stoked to have him in the ring with us he lit a fire under all of us and made us preform that much harder, I mean after all it was his big day. As we finished our first set we sung three more songs and said our goodbyes and thanked Stephanie and hunter for having us.

My band members shook their hands Seth’s aswell, when it came to me I wrapped him and a hug and wished him a happy birthday. The look on his face was like we just made his 33 years of life, he walked with us backstage with us with a huge smile on his face and I was just happy we made him and the wwe universe so happy. A lot of the superstars were waiting for us backstage to get our autographs and I was so flattered, I felt like I should be the one asking for autographs. I’ve watched wresting all my life and I’m sure I got on everyone’s nerves when I did watch it cause I’d scream at the tv.

I wouldn’t dare tell anyone that my team, and my band memebers knew not to tell anyone about it cause I’d kill them. My eyes kept lingering to Seth and when he’d look at me I’d look away afraid of getting caught, a few of the divas were all over my band memebers and I thought it was hilarious, groupies at its finest so I was surprised when a few male and female superstars walked up and started talking to me about how awesome we were and how Seth was so lucky. At the mention of Seth made my stomach feel tingly, honestly I have no idea what was going on with me. I haven’t even talked to kid and I feel tingly around him.

I mentally kicked myself and got my ass in gear and just pushed that away, I mean I didn’t even have time for a relationship I was always on the road, and when I wasn’t I was home working on msuic and made appearances. After the group started to die down the band went back to the dressing room and I told them I was going to go get some air but that was honestly to get them to leave me alone. The adrenaline still flowing through my veins when I heard my name getting called out. “Hey Y/N wait up.” I stopped when I heard the voice and I turned around to see Seth looking at me and smiled. “Thanks for waiting up, where ya heading too?” “Um well no where in particular just walking.” I replied and he smiled at me. “So I um was uh waning to introduce myself officially.”

I smile at him noticing I made him nervous, I mean I couldn’t blame him, I was a wild card no one ever knew what I would say or when I’d say it. “Well it’s finally glad to meet you after ogling me all night.” His eyes widened and he started rubbing the back of his neck. “U-uhm sorry about that I-I just was really stoked to meet you.” I nod my head at him and I look at him but he looked everywhere but at me. I thought him being shy was adorably cute. “Seth come on there’s no reason to be shy, We are one in the same.” He let out a chuckle and started fidgeting with the bottom of his shirt.

“I-I know b-but you are I like you.. I-I mean I like your music.” He sighed and put his hand over his face and I noticed the deep red tint on his face and I grabbed his hand. “Seth it’s okay most guys get like this when they meet me.” He let out a chuckle and he wiped his palms on his skinny jeans. “Since I’ve embarrassed myself enough I’ll go.” “Well I didn’t think the Architect had a problem with the ladies.” His eyes widened at the mention of his reputation and he hung his head low. “I didn’t but I haven’t found the right one?” I stood there and looked at him and before I could stop what was coming out my mouth it slipped. “So you just jump from women to woman?”

I could tell I had hit his ego and I hit it hard, he turned a light pink and started fidgeting with his shirt now. “I- uhm- uh I know I use to be a ass but I swear I’ve changed and I’d like to take you out but I’m sure-.” He shut his mouth and his skin turned a lighter color, he coverd his face and let out a big sigh. I let out a small giggle and I get closer to him and I see him tense some. “Wait do I make you nervous Seth?” I bite his lip and just stood there I smiled and grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and I wrote something on it and slipped it into his pocket. “If it gets leaked I’ll kill you, I’d love for you to take me out but next time hopefully you won’t be so Star Struck.” He stood there frozen while I walked away, this was officially the best night ever.

[btvs] imperfections (148,374 words) y’all know about the braveryverse already but i’ll bring up some good points: jenny and giles accidentally adopt the entire scooby gang. also faith gets some actual support and is actually eventually stable enough to date buffy. good times.

[btvs] deliberate obstruction (5,492 words) the one where jenny is petty as fuck and attempts to sabotage every single one of giles’s dates after their breakup. not her best look, but it was really fun to write jenny being Not Great. she deserves to have that option.

[btvs] arch-nemeses (2,171 words) who doesn’t love some of that good old-fashioned ripper au nonsense? particularly when it’s spike and ripper being confusing nemeses who sometimes drunkenly make out (jenny thinks this is very funny).

[btvs comics] i router, you giles (1,111 words) GOD this was written BEFORE i knew that giles and jenny were dating in the reboot comics and isn’t that a concept? a snarky-cute first meeting! ok not really that cute bc they just yell at each other a lot! but definitely snarky!

[btvs] transitional (3,152 words) good golly this is cute and i honestly forgot that i wrote it. which makes sense, bc there is a lot of stuff on this list. set in between season one and season two, in an attempt to bridge the giles/jenny gap between “awkwardly friendly coworkers” and “oh my god i think i like you”

[btvs] across the pond (5,323 words) FUN FACT this got nominated for a headline award and i’m SO PROUD OF THAT?! epistolary fic! giles leaves for england in s6 but without his wife! his wife is very mad and writes him VERY MANY LETTERS TO YELL AT HIM! perfect for those people who sometimes think “god, i wish jenny had been in s6 to yell at giles.”

[btvs comics] an open mic enthusiast (2,250 words) yet another giles/jenny comic-reboot meet-cute written before i knew they were dating!!! this time: jenny gets to see giles playing guitar. repeatedly. because she keeps going back to watch him at the open mic.

[btvs comics] blindsided (2,024 words) my first (and definitely not last) giles/anya fic! a shorter version of a plot bunny i hope to chase down in 2020 (ahaha did i say that WHOOPS)

[btvs] uncharted (16,469 words) my jenny calendar day fic! also known as “jenny calendar has a guilt complex: a novella.” no prophecy dream outs jenny to the group -- but she tells them anyway. and blames herself. and breaks up with giles while she’s trying to Fix Things. absolute mess. (thank god there’s a happy ending, right?)

[btvs] on the mending of hearts (9,236 words) that giles/anya fic where giles shows up at anya’s failed wedding and sweeps her off her feet and they have sex in his hotel room! except uhhh there’s a lot more drama and crying and anya really just needs some cuddles, tbh.

[btvs] extracurricular activities (1,003 words) straight up this one BARELY counts as a 2019 fic. i wrote it back in 2016 and forgot about it and found it on my hard drive and wrote an ending to it. it’s tiny, but it’s cute! lots of early-relationship calendiles fluff, as is My Brand.

[btvs] cookie dough and boy talk (a remix) (3,976 words) dawn, but in the ripper au! she’s a precocious little bab and ripper babysits her and gets semi-adopted by joyce. it’s a thing.

[btvs] a history lesson (698 words) a brief ripper au interlude between jenny and dru. dru tries to point out that jenny and ripper are in love. jenny very unconvincingly denies it.

[btvs] faith, hope, and pancakes (3,236 words) ripper au, now with faith! and she gets to hang with college-age jenny! who is dating her idiot boyfriend ripper! the Most Fun of times.

[btvs] compromises (750 words) this....was supposed to be a three-sentence prompt but I Can’t Do That. giles and jenny discuss (read: jenny yells at giles about) giles attempting to attack angel on sight.

[btvs] valentine buzz (3,422 words) i wrote this in may lmao but i just REALLY WANTED to write fluffy braveryverse valentine’s day nonsense!!! lots of cuddles and kisses and softness abound in this fic.

[btvs] days in goodness spent (5,893 words) this fic's point was a little more abstract and a little less blunt than most of the rest of these, but i wanted to explore the concept of giles slowly going from idealizing jenny to genuinely loving her. i hope i did it justice.

[btvs] to have and to hold (7,861 words) giles and jenny get married in the braveryverse. that’s really all there is. also i posted this on my birthday (may 23rd) AND it is the 23rd fic on this list!!!! WILD!!!!!)

[btvs] saw her in the streetlight, making all the world bright (5,738 words) took me like a year and a half to write the first fic in the ripper au, lmao. in which jenny is a snarky eighteen-year-old, ripper is a snarky college dropout in a band, and neither of them are at ALL good at communicating. especially not ripper.

[btvs] perfect (1,465 words) ripper au: it’s revealed that jenny hasn’t had sex before. ripper handles this with his characteristic maturity and grace (just kidding lmao he FREAKS. but it’s bc he loves her.)

[btvs] respite (1,106 words) i wrote this after issue 5 of the reboot dropped bc i was very emotional about canon power couple giles and jenny. in retrospect, i gave giles’s emotional maturity WAY too much credit--esp. given what’s going on now--but it was still fun as heck to write.

[btvs] shouldn’t we be getting together (3,193 words) this fic’s existence is a combo of me reading a summer camp ya novel and liking the Aesthetic but not the Culture & me talking endlessly w/ @jackalopingintothevoid​ about ripper and jenny’s teenage dynamic. so many of these fics have her galaxy brain takes woven in and i KNOW she knows that. lov u, jack.

[btvs] fragmented (6,158 words) written because of that one time my brain was like “but what if jenny WAS haunting the school?” happy ending because it’s me and g/j deserve some kisses.

[btvs/hp crossover] buffy summers, muggle-born (22,070 words) i CAME BACK TO THIS in 2019 and wrote a few chapters and DROPPED IT LIKE A HOT POTATO. hopefully 2020 will bring me the courage to pick it up again!!!!!! who DOESN’T want a carelessly-mashed-together crossover where the scoobies and the golden trio are all going to hogwarts together for some reason????

[btvs] in bloom (8,452 words) this was SUPPOSED to be the end of the jenny-anya-tara trilogy. it was not. (more on that later.) this was also supposed to be a fic where giles and jenny get together. jenny and anya got together. writing things is wild sometimes.

[btvs] i still want to be your girl (35,165 words) straight up i am so proud of this fic! s7 au: jenny was chased out of town by angelus. giles does not know this. jenny has been working with angel in la, but left with faith to try and help defeat the first. giles is not the guy she remembers. (but jenny’s not exactly the lady giles remembers, either. so maybe things might work out.)

[btvs/leverage crossover] what’s in a name (4,421 words) sophie’s & jenny’s relationship to their names & identities always so totally fascinated me! this fic was my way of exploring that. (also i got to give giles and jenny a toddler. that was fun too.)

[btvs comics] live a little (6,700 words) i had so much fun coming up with a backstory for giles and jenny in the comics that i am kinda tempted to eventually try and do it again. this one was fun to write, tho.

[btvs] kind of like hydrogen peroxide (7,501 words) THIS was FUN. ripper au, but it explores both jenny’s longing for High School Normalcy AND ripper’s fucked-up relationship to magic. also senior prom is a thing.

[btvs] mending fences (6,093 words) sequel to the aforementioned epistolary fic! lots of first-person self-loathing from giles, but also a LOT of love for jenny and his kids. also the man really truly needs to stop repressing.

[btvs] her father’s daughter (1,982 words) 2020 will bring us another chapter of this fic i swear to GOD. literally there’s only one chapter up so i cannot even TALK about my plans for it but uhhh if you want giles and jenny and their three daughters pls feel free to go to that prologue and check it out.

[btvs] a thousand different ways we fell apart (4,888 words) the au fic to encompass all au fics! inspired by the comic reboot and me being like. christ. do they go through this ridiculous shit in EVERY universe? ....and then i wrote a fic where jenny was a space traveler looking through multiple universe to try and fix her marriage with giles. extra fun.

[btvs] no such roses (4,814 words) this one turned out a TINY bit rushed, but the concept of jenny bringing giles back from the dead is always something that i love exploring. i might come back and rewrite this, someday.

[btvs comics] no perfect choice (4,801 words) OOF. wrote this one after issue 8 dropped. a lot softer and more tender than what actually happened, tbh. maybe i will reread it again to make myself feel better about comic calendiles and their brutal split.

[btvs] family (3,545 words) wrote this one p early in the year and came up with an ending to it much later! ripper au: the story of how xander came to live with giles and leave his parents. angst-with-a-happy-ending abounds.

[btvs] a california january (2,206 words) jenny and giles attend a funeral together. that’s pretty much it. this is defs one of the best things i wrote this year, tho.

[btvs] how i survived my summer vacation (volume two) (25,027 words) swear to god this is gonna be the next thing i update. the braveryverse NEEDS to continue. it’s got married calendiles, for god’s sake.

[btvs] clear and impartial judgment (3,977 words) that fic i wrote when i got mad at a lack of resolution wrt helpless. like!!! giles drugged buffy!!! do we not get to talk about the psychological ramifications that would have on her???? (well. canon doesn’t. but i do.)

[btvs] sunshine ladies (10,188 words) THIS FIC WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN and i say that with incandescent love in my heart. i intended for the ‘verse to be giles/jenny, and then i intended it to be jenny/anya, and then i was like....jenny has two goddamn hands, and there’s foreshadowing here for endgame giles/jenny, and i wanna write some giles/anya. let’s fuckin go. (DEFINITELY writing another installment in 2020 about this iconic ot3 of mine.) 

[btvs] spirit-touched (4,769 words) the first smut i write and it’s calendiles ghost sex. i really think this is on brand for me, esp. considering that swath of asks in 2016ish where everyone wanted to know if ghosts could jack off. incredible.

[btvs] dear friend (28,865 words) this fic had such a rushed ending :( it’s a cute premise (you’ve got mail giles/jenny au!!!!!), but i lost interest halfway through, and as a writer i can rlly see that when i read it. another thing i might like to go back and rewrite at some point, tbh!

[btvs] familiar (2,034 words) AUGH i am SO proud of this fic. SO SO PROUD. it’s a concept i really can’t explain and the little twist at the end is something i really really like, so...just read it.

[miss fisher’s murder mysteries] unbearable (5,670 words) i need to write more mfmm in 2020 but the amount of good fic out there is deeply intimidating/delightful. this one was my little “what if it was phryne who thought jack was dead” and tbqh i had a lot of fun with it? bc pining phryne (who makes brief but extremely poignant appearances throughout the series) is an awkwardly, heart-meltingly sincere lady.

[ace attorney] man’s duty to society (544 words) wrote this as my first foray into aa fic while getting emo about miles edgeworth. would absolutely still die for that man.

[ace attorney] fancy running into you (5,887 words) lots of schmoopy narumitsu fluff! gregory edgeworth is alive! miles is trauma-free! phoenix is an artist! just!!! goodness!!!!!!!

[ace attorney] big sister (2,741 words) set in the same gregory-edgeworth-is-alive ‘verse: babey franziska comes to live with miles and his dad. she is a little impossible but miles kinda does love her.

[ace attorney] prince charming edgeworth and his incredible tux (8,042 words) this fic came from me being like “i want to write phoenix swooning over miles in a tuxedo and being like HE LOOKS LIKE A DISNEY PRINCE” and spiraled into something much longer!

[ace attorney] fate, choice, and everything in between (4,384 words) SOULMATE AU. nothing i love more than deconstructing soulmate aus. but like. in a romantic way. also phoenix and miles ARE soulmates and that is JUST facts.

Favorite Fic: I WROTE SO MUCH STUFF THO LIKE !?!??! how can one expect me to distill it to just one fic? i’ll make it my top threeL

i still want to be your girl (same mood!!! i’ve wanted to write this fic for literal years, and it’s one of those rare occasions where the picture in my head actually turned out BETTER when written out!)

sunshine ladies (this is like my giles/jenny/anya ship manifesto and it still makes me happy to think about them all co-running the magic box together and smooching a lot.)

Hardest Fic: OOF uh i went through a rocky period of writing when transitioning into college? no such roses and dear friend were hit the hardest by my insecurity & my desire to Finish Things rather than actually spend time on the craft. but i’m much more settled in now and my writing is DEFINITELY in an upward swing (as my newest fic -- as day follows night -- attests to quite nicely, imo)

Do You Plan to Take Prompts in 2020? always always yes! (i’m bad at following through with them, but am ALWAYS accepting them.)

What was the best thing about 2019? there were almost too many good things to COUNT, but i think all of them were made possible by me working extremely hard to get myself the FUCK out of my abusive parents’ house and into my first choice college!! i’m thriving, y’all.

What was the worst thing about 2019? realizing that both of my parents are fundamentally terrible people. that part kinda sucked.

Any last thoughts for 2019? i finally understand what it’s like to fall asleep feeling safe, and to notice the way the leaves change color, and to get excited about self-indulgent things like food and cuddly stuffed animals and my own fic and art. 2019 brought a lot of happiness into my life, and oh yeah also i’m in love! lots of cool stuff going on.

MORE ART JUST IN GENERAL. i love drawing, but there’s not a lot of free time for artsy celia when they prioritize writing so often!

write one of the many incredible longfic ideas that’s floating around in my head. it’s honestly probably only like two or three big ones, but at least DECIDE which one i’m gonna focus my energy on.

Ufhsjkaka i loved this! I was giddy the whole time reading it. Also the fact that both Yoongi & Seokjin were like, "the ... the ... threesome" which i totally get but it made me laugh. I just wanna squish Seokjin after reading this but he'd probably roast me to hell and back like he does to people on weverse ����

Things I need to touch on from Restore Me

so i finished it a couple days ago but I had to get my shit together before I could write this. I finally did so here i am. Let’s get into it

- I know everyone is freaking out about Warner’s hair but like honestly though. We all LOVED his hair. Tahereh you knew this. You weaponized it and took away his beautiful golden locks. Literally im excited for the next book because hopefully his hair will have grown back by then. I’m so sad rip Warner’s beautiful  hair

- and no one is really making a big deal out of this, which I kind of understand. I know it was a big statement and monumental moment in Juliette’s character development when she shaved her head, but i was literally so salty. like I loved her hair. she was soooo pretty with it. not to say she’s ugly bald but like.... u know what I mean, right? like idk i was so mad. I loved her long hair. I realize how superficial and unimportant this sounds but idk these are just my thoughts okay don’T FUCKING JUDGE ME

- Kenji’s backstory. Like i remember reading in the first three books how he was so mysterious and he didn’t want to tell anyone what happened in his past. and when he told juliette... oh my god my heart. like everyone always credits warner and juliette for best character development because duh, but i feel like Kenji’s development is underrated. he used to trust, like, no one. but he and juliette have grown so close and now he’s told her his deepest secret and just... idk man there’s something beautiful about that, about their friendship

- also I love how tahereh makes a girl and a guy best friends but there’s absolutely, 100% no romantic feelings between them. I feel like that’s really rare nowadays, let alone in this genre. I really admire her for doing that. As a girl with many guy friends, I hate it when people assume we have a thing for each other. I’m really happy with Tahereh for making Juliette’s best friend a guy, and really happy with her establishing that it’s possible for a girl and a guy to be best friends without wanting to fuck. Thank you, Tahereh.

- tbh I had A LOT of problems with this book but there were also some aspects that I REALLY LOVED. one of those that I loved was just how real Tahereh was in this book. for example, Warner and Juliette face relationship problems. We read books and get attached to the characters and their relationships and assume that they live happily ever after. (I’m guilty of this lol). but I really like how Tahereh acknowledges that that isn’t realistic nor healthy. While reading ignite me, I was actually thinking about that. Like don’t get me wrong, I ship warnette to the ends of the fucking earth but at the same time I was thinking, “they don’t even know each other that well, they’ve only known each other for a couple months”. And I’m just really happy that Tahereh captured that. 

- don’t get me wrong though i love warnette and I don’t like seeing them have problems lol

- Also warner’s anxiety/panic attacks??? I have two things to touch on relating to this. first, it shows how deeply he cares for Juliette. idk it’s so cute and my heart hurts just thinking about it. they broke up and he literally had a PANIC ATTACK. like wow. what a bby someone protect him. but more importantly, this is another example of Tahereh’s realism. It was never outwardly stated that warner had problems with anxiety, and tbh I never really thought about it. but once she pointed it out, it made complete sense. He had a traumatic childhood, and has difficulty with expression emotion, etc. I think it really adds depth and understanding to his character, but it also feels real. It doesn’t feel like she just went “oh let’s give him some anxiety so that my readers can relate to him more and love him” like it feels really genuine and makes sense and it’s true to his character and AHHH TAHEREH YOU’RE SUCH A GODDESS LIKE OH MY GOD

- so anyone who has read shatter me knows that one of the main focal points of the series is character development. not just for juliette but for warner, kenji, even adam. this element is one of my favorite things about the series because Tahereh executes it so perfectly. and when i finished ignite me, I thought that it was over. That Juliette was done evolving, that she was her full, finished, whole self. BOY WAS I WRONG. I absolutely LOVE that Tahereh continued her development into restore me, a mixture of evolving and devolving. Several times in the book, we see both warner and juliette drifting back to their old habits. this is very realistic and true. personal growth is a journey. it isn’t linear. it has ups and downs and I really like how she established this. 

- speaking of adam, I love how Tahereh shows his personal growth. He acknowledges that he was not a good match for Juliette and that she deserves better, and that what he did to her was out of line. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still not a fan of him, but I can really respect him for admitting his mistakes because it’s actually quite difficult to do that. 

- the title for this book is so fitting. first of all, the reader’s needs for the series to continue have been RESTORED. on top of that, all this character development and growth that I’ve been rambling on about. their characters are RESTORED and brought to justice

- something I didn’t like was the whole thing about Juliette’s backstory. idk maybe it��s just too much for my small brain to handle but it felt kinda forced and too complex. maybe I just don’t like change. I don’t know. I just don’t really like that and I really wish Tahereh hadn’t done that but oh well what can you do

- more warnette sex scenes. no complaints here

- JULIETTE’S CONFIDENCE. OH MY GOD. SHE HAS COME SO FAR BBY GIRL WE ARE SO PROUD OF U

- I love how Warner is warming up to people. his love-hate relationship with Kenji is actually great. and when Kenji comforts him after his panic attack... god I couldn’t deal. they both are so precious and they act like they hate each other when actually they have a deep mutual respect and, honestly, an understanding of each other. also Warner and Adam learning how to be brothers. LOVE IT. 

- Warner getting possessive and protective of James almost made me cry

- warner’s inner turmoil about the death of his father, again, so real! as someone who had a lot of problems with my mother and then she walked out, I could deeply relate to what he was feeling and Tahereh captured it well. it shows that even the most emotionally guarded of people have feelings too. (and as we know, warner has ALL THE FEELINGS.)

- I kinda miss Tahereh’s old writing. the very descriptive, imagery-ridden writing of shatter me that drew us to her in the first place. It started to disappear in ignite me and by restore me it was completely gone. I miss it. I know it’s probably cause she’s focusing more on world building and getting back into the swing of things but still. still.

- all the jokes in this book were great. definitely lightened the mood because there were times when this book got into some HEAVY shit

This chapter was honestly amazing, easily one of my favorite chapters. Not only do we get to see my boy Kenny again, Annie is there kicking his ass. We got Bertholdt's fortune telling sleeping positions(bless him). We got Reiner who is so fucking gone, I lost my shit for a second when I thought it was all gonna be over for him. Then we finally hear from the Tybur's and learn that Amputee-kun was Eren(no surprise with that one). Honestly just a beautiful chapter!

Honestly I was expecting this chapter to be another flashback and generally boring instead I was pleasurably surprised by seeing my boi eren and Kenny ~wipes tear~ I JUST HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS CHAPTER O

This is the chapter we all needed. Finally, the plot's moving forward, and it's doing so really quickly! Hyped!

We went from "another useless flashback chapter" to "omg Isayama let us catch our breath" and this is hilarious. Not that I disliked flashback chapters, they were great...but THIS was THE chapter.

It's about time we had a chapter that pushed the plot forward and gave us some juicy reveals. The curtain has been down for far too long and it's now time for some conflict. Gimme grim reminder in the next chapter as well as more Pieck and Porky.

This chapter is just amazing. We got Eren as Amputee-kun, Willy Tybur, and a hint of Zekerets. Plus, there's also Eren's letter to look forward to. I feel like we'll be seeing the Paradis crew towards the end of Chapter 98. It serves as a great way to end the volume.

I was so happy to see the plot finally starting to move forwards again. I've loved getting the Marley perspective, but as I've said before, the pacing of these chapters has been abysmal. The plot's been largely stalled for nearly a year at this point, and I'm very excited to see it finally seeming to pick up direction again. 

  WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE CHAPTER? (1,169 RESPONSES)

Things Involving Eren made up more than 55% of the vote. Anny vs Kenny pulled in 16.8% coming in third. And yes, I screwed up. I should’ve made Reiner’s suicide attempt a “best part” but I got caught up in the semantics of it all. I couldn’t see it as anything but a tragedy.

Reiner's attempted suicide was one of the best moments of the chapter but you only made it an option under "worst"

When we first asked this question last month only 22% thought RBA might be involved in killing the man in order to create a bullet-proof hometown alibi.  With the inclusion of Bert’s nightmares and Reiner’s shady expression, it looks like more people are coming around to the idea.

Why the hell people still think RBA or RA killed that man? It makes absolutely no sense and has no basis in the story.They kept saying it last chapter and it was proven wrong, and now they say Bert just didn't know about it? Really? Why wouldn't they tell him? They always discuss everything together, why not this? That look Reiner gave Bert was just him worried about his friend having nightmares or, if he's in his warrior mindset, worried that it might affect his performance.

I think Reiner was clearly involved in the hanged man's death, but there's little to zero evidence Annie was involved. I think this chapter also emphasized, despite his affection for Bert, how unreliable Reiner considered Bert to be.

The "It's hard for me to show my face to my family now" line honestly has me worried.  If the story takes it down this path as opposed to what we expect, then something ground-breaking must have happened during the time-skip.  Eren, Mikasa, and Armin have been through everything together.  If that was somehow torn apart, then so will my heart.

Last month 58% would sell theirs souls to see the original cast. That was down very slightly this month to 54%. Despite Eren being included in this chapter most are still anxious for news about the rest of the Survey Corps.

With Amputee-kun being Eren, there is no reason to want to return to Paradis. The important stuff is happening in Liberio, Paradis has nothing new.

Now that eren is back i think that the story will stay in Marley till the end, barring the occasional flashback

That sequence of flashbacks interwoven with Reiner's suicide attempt are some of the strongest pages of this goddamn manga. I was so shook by it when I first saw it that I was left in a morbidly awed silence at how powerful the delivery was. I actually couldn't speak, so bravo isayama.

Reiner's suicide attempt made me cry and I've never been any more sad reading the manga..... Suicide is just such a realistic issue in reality that seeing it snk has affected me more than giant man-eating titans ever will

Apparently, in the japanese version, the warhammers identity was more ambiguous and could be anyone my bet would be the tall guard inside the room. Reiners suicide attempt was depressing, especially if you consider that he was feeling guilty for helping eren improve so much which got Bertholdt killed. Hyped to see what Zeke is up to, he may be plotting with Pieck or something against the Tybur idk.

Eren vs Armin for the final arc - you heard it here first

Everytime I see my top 3 characters (Kenny, Jean, Reiner) they are either suffering or in danger, and the fandom is more focused in others like Annie, Eren or Gabi. Then there will be Zeke with a suicidal, Erwin-like attitude. I always thought that Eren was going to meet his grandparents, but I have no clue of what will happen now. Anyways, Billy is an interesting guy, and Eren has reached Jean's maturity level (after Trost). Let's hope Falco doesn't suffer much, because of his two "teachers". Colt looks like a Farlan figure to me.

I am very happy to see again Eren. He is matured a lot, just thinking about the conversation with Falco. But I am sad for Reiner 'cause it was due the Falco's voice to save him from the suicide and so he went to looking for Falco, tell him that everything will be alright. Reiner is concerned to Falco, he wants to be useful for him but BAM, he found an excited Falco (after talking with Amputee-kun). Reiner can't do anything. He is still alone.

Everyone's going gaga for Eren's new look and I'm sitting here like......ehh..? Seeing Jean (stupid, bratty, Jean) for three panels was wonderful. Zeke and Billy best be plotting. I'd like to see their interactions. I like Billy's character design too, especially the nose and hair.

Reiner's suicide attempt was absolutely haunting. The fact that he didn't hesitate as he loaded up the rifle (Even though doing so would consume a lot of time that could be used to be like 'Wait what am I doing'), the way it was interwoven into the flashbacks (made it seem that everything just piled and piled on him until finally he couldn't take it anymore), the fact that Reiner didn't seem to be thinking about anyone until Falco showed up outside (and that he seemed to only be motivated to live due to the Titan shifter candidates, which would imply a lot about his current connection to his mom ;_;). That shit left me in emotional pain for two days, not even joking. 

the Reiner/Eren parallels reminded me of their fairly friendly dynamic during their 104th days and gave credence to my mini-theory that Reiner asked Eren to come with him and Bertholdt because he was sentimental ;_;.

I just want to hug Reiner, telling him "it's just two more years, come on, you can do it. Help the younglings and then you'll meet Bert again". Plus, I really really hope that Isayama is showing us a lot of Annie to hint she's soon getting out of that f***ing crystal!

Finally a decent chapter; we have the plot moving forward with the Teiber-Magath convo and the Eren reveal, we have some nice flashbacks and also some character development (Eren maturing and Reiner hitting rock bottom :'( ). The pacing was great, not too much focus on one single thing like last chapter.

Eren is Daddy now and that's all my mind had been able to thoroughly process with this chapter. 

Friendship between Reiner and Bertl was strong in this one. I want... MORE. I would also like some back story on the berb turtle please thanks bye

I wonder why Isayama decided to put that panel of Zeke right before Eren gives the letter to Falco. It could have been placed somewhere else, but I think he put it there to signify that Eren's letter is to Zeke (or maybe his grandparents?). But a lot of people think its to the Survey Corps, so...

Unexpected turn of events w/the Tybur controlling Marly. Such a shock! Isa will choose more shocking reveals. Im scared. The end will be the hardest choice between the lives of one side opposite the other.

I was so happy to see the Marley arc merge with the Survey Corps and pre-Marley arc events with Eren. It really marks the beginning of something new and epic. That letter is gonna set so many things in motion, and now that we have been properly introduced to the holder of the 9th titan's power, things are bound to be more interesting.

One of the best chapters so far. If not the best.
