Sinabi ng artista na isinulat niya ang kantang ito para magkaroon ng kamalayan sa paksang taboo at sinabihan siya ng kanyang ahente na ilathala ito, bagama't hindi naging komportable ang kanyang mga tagapakinig. Maganda ang pagpupursige ng mang-aawit sa paglalathala ng kantang ito dahil mahalagang pag-usapan natin ang mga isyung panlipunan tulad ng pang-aabuso sa bata. Pumukaw sa aking atensyon ang pananaw ng bata na sila ang problema. Naituro nito sa akin na hindi lamang pisikal na sinasaktan ng mga nang-aabuso ang mga bata, ngunit gina-gaslight din nila ang mga bata na mag isip na karapat-dapat silang tratuhing masama. 
Maaari nating bigyang-kahulugan ang mga lirikong “I think it's because I'm clumsy. I try not to talk too loud. Maybe it's because I'm crazy, I try not to act too proud.” at “Yes I think I'm okay. I walked into the door again, if you ask that's what I'll say, and it's not your business anyway” bilang ang bata na hindi gustong ma-trigger ang mga nang-aabuso sa kanila. Itinatago nila ang sakit na palagi nilang nararamdaman, habang pinoprotektahan nila ang kanilang mga nang-aabuso dahil  pinagsasabihan sila na magdudulot lamang ng higit pa na problema ang pagsusumbong. Nakikita pa rin ngayon sa maraming anyo ang isyung panlipunang ito. Iilan na rito ang pisikal sekswal, at emosyonal na pang-aabuso, o pagpapabaya sa pagbibigay ng pangangailangan ng bata; ngunit tinatawag pa rin itong taboo at nahihirapan pa rin itong pag-usapan ng mga tao
Sa Pilipinas, mayroong 8,948 na naitalang kaso ng pang-aabuso sa bata noong taong 2022. Isa paring malaking isyu dahil ang pang-aabuso at pagpapabaya sa bata dahil hindi lamang pisikal na nakakapinsala sa mga bata, ngunit bumubuo rin ng mga nasa hustong gulang na may mga psychiatric disorders habang-buhay. Karaniwan silang may PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), at may mga isyu sa pagtitiwala at sa kalusugan. Binibigyan ng kamalayan ng awit ang mga kaganapang ito, at mahalagang suportahan at tulungan natin ang mga nakaligtas at nakatakas na rito na harapin ang kanilang nakaraang trauma at umasa sa isang mas magandang kinabukasan.
