Lex is Vlad reincarnated
So! Lex Luther, the greatest person to ever exist, had recently made a discovery.
A few weeks ago, a Cult of moronic simpletons had managed to kidnap him. Him! All for some stupid Demonic ritual where they sacrifice the wealthiest man they could find in return for something meaningless like "No More Poverty" or "No More Starvation".
He had survived, of course, and was unfortunately save by Supermoron.
But before the Man of Steel had busted in, he overheard something from the Cultists. Apparently they had chosen him for more than just his wealth, there was something more about his Soul that they were after. It felt "Divine", as if he had the soul of a God stuffed in a Mortal's body.
And obviously it must be correct. He was already the most intelligent man in the world, One of the wealthiest, and held more political power than any single man on the planet, so of course "God in disguise" was the next logical addition to that List.
Over the next few weeks he studied and prepared.
He needed to make sure that his efforts would be rewarded, that those Cultists had been correct about him despite their idiocy.
After buying up as many Magical Artifacts as he could related to Identity and Soul, he tested himself on Each and Every One. And Lo and Behold, he is truly a God.
Well, the Reincarnation of One. Apparently this was common in immortal beings such as himself, reincarnating themselves into mortal bodies as a sort of Vacation from their Duties. All he needed to do now was find a way to regain his Memories and Power without dying, and he would truly become a God On Earth.
A few more weeks of Preparation, and he was ready.
Apparently the Manchild of Steel had caught onto his plan in that time. His Ego probably couldn't bear another God living in the same City as himself, so he tried to stop Lex's plans of Ascension. Thankfully, in his research he had discovered his Rival's vulnerability to Magical Attacks, and set up countermeasures for him and his Breakfast Club should they attempt to interfere.
He stepped into the Ritual Circle, and began his Ascension to Godhood.
Try as they might, the League could not foil his plans this time. The Ritual Circle lit up with a sickly green light, and expanded to cover his entire body. The Ritual began to finally complete itself.
He had Won.
...
Oh.
...
Vlad stood at the center of the circle for a few moments. He took in all his Memories of his most recent Life, and Facepalmed so hard he was sure The Badger heard it back in the Realms.
Ten Tousand Years of Therapy specifically to curb his egotistical tendencies, and That is how he decides to spend his most recent Life? Acting as a Billionare Supervillain attacking a well meaning Hero for nothing less than Ego?! He even Cloned them!? Had he learned NOTHING!?!?
"Careful Team, we don't know how powerful he is now." He heard his current Nemesis say.
Oh right...they were still there.
He didn't really feel like explaining everything to them, and he technically still had about 40 years left on his Vacation...
He simply turned his back to them, flew back to his Mansion, turned back into his Human Form, and set about his Day. Maybe he could right a few of the wrongs he had done on this life?
It would certainly throw his current Nemesis for a loop. And while he may not Hate him anymore, he definitely still liked to Mess with him.
Maybe this would be more entertaining than he thought?

Kara's authority often goes unchecked!
After re watching a few episodes I've come to the conclusion that part of Kara's ego problem (yes it is there, some may have to squint or take off the Kara is perfect goggles but it is there) is that she has gone unchallenged and unchecked for far to long.
Kara was only ever really challenged in the first couple of episodes, when Alex shot her out of the sky and Jonn told her to stick to getting coffee.
Since then and her time at the DEO, Kara has pretty much done what Kara wants to do. She does discuss things with Jonn and Alex in the earlier seasons but she always ends up doing what she wants to do.
All of that unchecked vigilantism and being allowed to do basically whatever she wants because of Jonn's soft spot for her has led to her head becoming very enlarged with her own self importance and sense of self righteousness. Kara is usually allowed to go with her gut feeling and as we have seen she can make horrible decisions!
Examples of this can be seen in the time she decided that Mon El was ready to go out in the field, even after he messed up in training. This led to civilians being put in danger and James having to rescue them. Kara's excuse 'Mon El is still learning'. This is an issue that could have been avoided if Kara wasn't allowed to make massive decisions on her own and someone actually challenging her.
Another more recent event is Kara trusting Manchester Black. She saw him being ridiculously violent TWICE and still kept going back to him. She allowed him to hold the sun grenade (why??) Which he tampered with and she still trusted him enough to not call back up and ended up nearly being blown up! Kara makes horrible decisions sometimes. Kara even decided that it was up to her on who became a Superhero or not. I'm not a Guardian fan on any level! But James was right, Kara didn't get to decide who gets to be a hero and who doesn't. Heck Alex knew about it and she didn't tell them to stop, she told them to tell Kara. But why? Why was it so important that Kara knew? Why was Kara's approvel so vital?
Kara's own sense of self importance and her belief she should be obeyed in all things came out when Lena was at the DEO to. Lena had no legal reason to stay at the DEO and help. Making Kryptonite isn't a crime, at least we've never seen any evidence that it's is accept in Kara and probably Clark's minds.
But Kara kicked off telling Lena off for daring to make it. For daring to lie to her face. She demanded that Lena give all her tech to Alex and then ordered her to never make Kryptonite again! She told her off for daring to make more tech (which didn't even involve Kryptonite) without informing the Great and Powerful Supergirl. Kara kicked off because Lena made a forcefield a Kryptonian can't look through, I know it was for Reign but what if Lena simply didn't want Supergirl spying on her in the shower? Or even looking though her window everytime she flew by L Corp or Lena's apartment? Maybe she thought she would need this one day to stop Kara from simply invading her privacy and looking at whatever inventions she has made. We've already seen Kara has no problem invading anyone's privacy or using her X Ray vision to discover someone's secret identity. E.g. James and Kate Kane. But Kara kicks the f**k off when Haley tries to discover hers? Another example of Kara going unchecked. Kara also has no issue using her x ray vision to scan people's homes or offices without a warrant.
Thankfully we got to see Lena put Kara in her place and challenge this apparent self given authority that Kara has and Jonn and Alex have allowed her. Even Alex wasn't fussed about what Lena had done after it was explained to her. Kara was only thinking about herself, she didn't give a single thought to Lena helping Sam. Everything is always about Kara and this isn't all her fault, those around her treat her like she is the centre of the universe. They do everything she says. Just because Clark defeated Lex it doesn't give the Supers authority over all Luthors, but they seem to think it does.
This is why it's almost amusing to me that when Haley and the new President took over Kara found it much harder to take orders. She is/was finally being put in her place and all her unchecked nonsense was challenged. Kara was no longer free to do what Kara wanted to do! She was finally being told 'no!' Sad it had to come from Haley and the douche bag new President but it needed to happen! It's something Alex and Jonn should have done a long time ago.
Imagine what Kara would say now if she saw what Lena is doing at the DEO? She would be going made and demanding Lena stop. But she would be over ruled by Haley and wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Where as if Jonn was still in charge he would let her go off and give orders all she wants.
I have to admit I enjoyed it when Maggie called Kara out for interfering with Police work when she had no authority to. Kara was pretty smug and self righteous not caring that she ruined hours of police negotiations. All because Kara decided she was going to get involved because she could.
Even after leaving the DEO Kara still can't handle authority other than her own. Haley told her to stay out of DEO business, but Kara has rarely been told 'no' since becoming Supergirl. She feels confident enough in her own authority to ignore anything the actual authorities have to say. Even if those authorities are ass hats. Kara is still making rash decisions, she told Nia who she was without even really thinking about it, she allowed Nia to join a fight and sent her into a building with armed men untrained telling her to 'help' somehow. What if Nia had been shot in the face like she newly was at the factory? The only thing that saved Nia was the quick vision she had, Kara was useless!
If you let a child dictate the rules to you then you've lost your authority and they will not understand it when someone tells them 'no'. It's been a really long time since Kara was really told 'no'.
She's so absorbed in herself that she doesn't even thank people she isn't close to personally for the help she has. Have we seen her ever thank Lena for the Power Ranger suit? Nope! We saw her thank Alex for it, but it's not Alex who made it. I know I'm stuck on this Lena thing, but RAO Kara needs to swallow some humble pie and maybe thank Lena for saving her ass, her life and helping her save the lives of others!
I for one rather enjoy seeing Kara brought down a peg or two! Even when it was mind wiped Alex doing it! It's something Alex should have been doing pre-mind wipe!
