Thoughts? I'm pretty sold on the character designs but atp I'm not sure about how I'm gonna go about the execution of. everything else
#Hen and the Scaredy Dragon#Doodles#I think this looks nice enough but like#The problem with their size difference is that it's hard to make The Hen POP#But that'll be fine maybe probably#I think this is the one time I'll post anything and openly invite constructive criticism#Because this is hopefully a kids picture book eventually so I'd be glad to see what people think

Initial concept art for the children's picture book I've been wanting to write. It's about a chicken teaching a dragon to be brave.

Genuinely? I only changed one thing but I think my problem with this is already gone?? Making the wings a solid color helps with the body definition for the Hen in a big way. She's much more comprehensible from a distance this way!
Also for those suggesting I make her more blue in general I actually had a specific real chicken breed/picture I based her on. And I wanted her design more based in reality than the Dragon's is. Though I did simplify the real life 'design' and make it more vibrant, I think part of the point was to make real chickens look pretty to kids who don't realize you can have them as pets.
