So, with the latest developments in To Be Hero X, I'm starting to develop a theory about trust/belief value and how it works.
On the surface, it seems like the amount of believers creates more powerful results. We see Lin Ling get physically stronger during the livestream of Nice holding up Firm Man's statue, which sort of backs this idea up. It also makes sense. Number go up = power go up, number go down = power go down.
But, Yang Cheng managed to develop superpowers and beat up two bad guys just based on one believer. Considering that most people have a non-zero number of believers, usually consisting of their immediate family, it seems unlikely that such a low number of believers would typically correspond to just developing lightning powers and shit.
I think there are two obvious possible explanations for it here, not mutually exclusive, but I think the second option gained a bit more credence with the latest episode.
Option one is that people do tend to have natural superpowers, and having believers just amplifies or helps unlock what's already there in some way. High stress survival situations may also contribute. So Yang Cheng's fight to rescue Little Pomelo would have been a perfect cocktail of events, as he simultaneously unlocked his superpowers in a life-or-death brawl and gained a follower capable of boosting said powers.
Option two, however, is that the nature of belief is even more vital than the amount of it. This is already somewhat confirmed in how the nature of belief impacts a hero's downsides and limits, and the kind of abilities they have, but what's less clear is how the strength of individual belief compares to the number of believers. Little Pomelo did not just believe in Yang Cheng, he believed in Yang Chang as a manifestation of E-Soul. He believed that Yang Cheng could do what E-Soul, the image of a hero that exists in the public consciousness, could do in that situation.
So it's probable that the potency of Yang Cheng's abilities came from the potency of E-Soul's image and mythology. It's not just people believing in him, it's people believing in him as E-Soul, which gives him equivalent power to E-Soul.
It's like, if you believe someone you love can ace that test they're struggling with, you might count as their believer, but your belief is not going to give them superpowers. At most it will just help them find the resolve to study, or perhaps remember important facts at the right time. If a lot of people believe that someone can ace a test, it might rewire their brain to be better at test-taking, which is spooky, but still not necessarily awarding them superpowers. It would also depend on the conviction of your belief. Do you really 100% believe without a doubt that they're going to pass, or are you just optimistic about their prospects?
If you believe, sincerely, that someone can shoot lightning out of their hands, then your belief will give them the power to shoot lightning out of their hands. Even if you're the only person who believes that about them.
I think this second theory gained more credence due to the nature of E-Soul Prime's PR team freak-out about Yang Cheng, and specifically their accusations that Yang Cheng was infringing because his power could not and would not exist without him impersonating E-Soul, and that without infringing he wouldn't be able to produce the level of power he's demonstrated.
But the more interesting prospect is of course, combining the ideas. Yang Cheng could have just hit a perfect storm of being a good actor who chose to impersonate a hero whose skills his own hidden abilities would emulate very well. Contrast this with Lin Ling and Nice, where if Lin Ling really has precognition/visions/etc as his power, then his Nice-related powers were ONLY awarded to him via the belief system. Which is why they failed pretty spectacularly the minute he dropped that image. Whereas Yang Cheng could lose believers down to the single digits, but as long as someone like Little Pomelo still believed in him, he'd still be able to lightning punch a guy.

Forging A Blasting Rod
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-My personal blasting rod.
A blasting rod is a specialized magickal tool used in witchcraft and ceremonial magick, primarily for baneful workings, commanding spirits, protection, and energy projection. Unlike a traditional wand, which channels and directs energy gently, a blasting rod forcefully projects power, making it a tool of will, authority, and raw energy manipulation. This guide will walk you through selecting materials, crafting, and charging your blasting rod.
Understanding the Purpose of a Blasting Rod
A blasting rod is used in high-energy workings, including:
• Commanding spirits in ceremonial or necromantic magick.
• Cursing and hexing with focused intent.
• Banishing unwanted energies with force.
• Defensive and protective magick, repelling negativity.
• Directing raw power in aggressive spellwork.
It is a tool of action, unlike a regular wand, which can be more neutral or passive in nature.
Choosing Materials
Wood Selection (Powerful & Commanding Woods)
The rod should be strong, sturdy, and hold commanding energy. Some of the best choices include:
• Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) – The traditional wood for blasting rods, used in baneful magick and spirit work.
• Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) - Another favorite for blasting rods, used in attack/defense magick, blood magick, and baneful magick.
• Ironwood (Ostrya virginiana) - Formidable and strong when dealing with unwanted forces.
• Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) – Protective and potent against unwanted spirits.
• Oak (Quercus spp.) – A wood of strength and dominance.
• Yew (Taxus baccata) - Symbolic of death and doom, ideal for baneful magick and interacting with the spirits of the dead.
• Holly (Ilex aquifolium) – Often used in aggressive and defensive magick.
• Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.) – Excellent for curses, hexes, and protection against harmful forces.
If possible, gather the wood ethically—from naturally fallen branches rather than cutting from a living tree. Some traditions believe the wood should be taken from a tree struck by lightning for added potency.
Tumblr media
Length & Shape
• A blasting rod is usually longer and thicker than a traditional wand, about 12-18 inches.
• It should feel balanced in your hand, not too lightweight or delicate.
Crystal & Metal Enhancements
To amplify its power, consider embedding:
• Opal (especially black) - Amplifies malefic energy.
• Obsidian or black tourmaline – For protection, banishment, and absorbing negativity.
• Quartz (Clear, smoky, or black) – Strengthens and amplifies energy projection.
• Ruby – Focuses your intention onto the target.
• Amethyst - Self destruction, nightmares, paranoia.
• Garnet - Drains energy from the target.
• Sardonyx - Returns negative energy to sender.
• Malachite - Illicits fear and anxiety.
• Meteorite - Used as an amplifier in baneful magick.
• Iron – Binding, commanding, often used in defensive magick.
• Copper - Amplifier, increases power and effect.
Crafting the Blasting Rod
Cleansing – Before crafting, cleanse the wood by smudging it with mugwort, dragon’s blood, or wormwood smoke. Washing it with saltwater or an herbal infusion (rosemary and rue work well).
Shaping – Strip off excess bark (optional) but keep some texture for a rough, commanding grip.
Symbology – Carve runic symbols, sigils, or glyphs into the shaft. Leave one end pointed or tapered for directing energy.
Adding Power Enhancements - Wrap the handle with black leather, red twine, or iron/copper wire to contain and direct energy. Affix a crystal or iron nail at the tip for added force.
Anoint with ritual oils like:
• Dragon’s Blood – Amplifies power, brings destruction.
• Wormwood & Mugwort – Strengthens spiritual command.
• Black Pepper & Sulfur – Adds potency in baneful work.
• Myrrh - Boosts malevolent power.
Charging & Consecrating the Blasting Rod
A blasting rod should be charged under intense conditions to match its purpose. Some methods include:
Consecration Ritual
• Set Sacred Space – Cast a circle or work at a crossroad, cemetery, or dark moon ritual setting.
• Elemental Charging:
• Fire: Pass the rod through flame (candles or bonfire) to awaken its force.
• Earth: Bury it overnight in graveyard dirt, sulfur, or black salt.
• Water: Dip it in storm water, ocean water, or an infusion of baneful herbs.
• Air: Hold it in thick incense smoke (dragon’s blood, myrrh, or mugwort).
Tumblr media
• Invocation of Power:
Hold the rod and speak,
"Rod of might, tool of command,
Through storm and flame, by my hand,
Channel power, force of will,
Let no spirit act against my skill."
Charging Under Planetary & Lunar Energy
• Dark Moon – Best for baneful, binding, or spirit work.
• Full Moon – Enhances overall energy projection.
• Tuesday (Mars' Day) – Ideal for charging aggressive or commanding tools.
• Saturn’s Hour – Adds banishing and protective strength.
Using the Blasting Rod in Magick
Now that your glorious rod of blasting is complete, it's time to unleash its power.
Baneful Work (Hexes, Curses, & Banishing)
• Point the rod at a poppet, target’s name paper, or spell jar while chanting.
• Direct energy into curse sigils or spellwork for amplified power.
• Break curses by striking the ground or altar with the rod.
Commanding Spirits & Evocation
• Used in ceremonial magick to bind, summon, or dismiss spirits.
• Strike the ground or altar three times when calling a spirit.
• Use it to trace sigils in the air when working with the dead or the astral.
Protection & Warding
• Point at a door or window while chanting to seal a space.
• Use it to break hexes or disrupt malevolent energy fields.
• Bury near your home’s entrance to create a protective ward.
Final Thoughts & Maintenance
• Recharge it under powerful celestial events (eclipses, storms, or planetary transits).
• Store it separately from gentler tools, preferably wrapped in black cloth.
• Never use it casually – a blasting rod is for intense, serious magick only.
A properly crafted and consecrated blasting rod is a tool of great power and responsibility. It should be treated with respect, as it embodies raw will, force, and command.

The New, Relaxed, Black Mage
Black Mage was always getting worse in the current design environment of FFXIV. It was designed around maintaining a strict rotation and if you lost the track - whether you fatfingered the wrong element and cast Fire 1 when you were in Umbral 3, or you were targeting while running for your life and oops it targeted an ALLY so your spell didn't go off and now your timer's expired, womp-womp - then you really lost track. You were down the time to get back into the groove, you might be down the time to get mana going again, it was a whole thing.
And the current design environment involves a lot of unexpected movement. This makes it more difficult to keep uptime, and the assorted mobility options help but don't solve the issue.
Meanwhile, design-wise, you couldn't solve this problem with the Numbers lever. You couldn't just make the damage number go up if the Black Mage played optimally. Because then, you would merely have a greater and greater disparity between people who literally memorized, beat for beat, the entirety of every fight they took part in, and reverse-engineered it to work out the optimal place to use each part of their toolkit...and everybody else. Yoshi P is part of "everybody else" in that discussion. He's a BLM main, but he's got better things to do with his time than...that. And so do the people who woulda done it if it meant they reclaimed the Magic DPS crown from Picto.
Well, for people like me who would have this little debilitating flash of panic when we saw the timer get down to 4 seconds, the new BLM is outstanding.
I appreciate that the old way maintained a valid use for Fire 1 all the way into late game. You needed it to keep the timer going, because Fire 4 didn't reset the timer to full. But a lot of the issues with Spell Speed also applied to BLM at large, because of that design. And also, the new setup lets you cast Thunder, Foul, and Xenoglossy when they're useful, not "when you can fit them in." You can use 'em in either Astral or Umbral, without regard to when the boss moves out of attack range or threatens to drop a meteor where you're standing. You can save Polyglot for when you need to move or when the party buffs are up, and if you've got to use a stack to keep it from overcapping that's fine; doing so won't wreck everything else.
The new shorter cast times have a curious side-effect: Triplecast is now only a damage-gain ability on AoE, not during boss fights. High Fire is a 3s cast with a 2.5s recast timer, so Triplecasting that is a 20% dps gain, done by reducing the S part rather than increasing the D - You still deal 540 potency to everyone in the enemy crowd, but now you deal it in 7.5 seconds instead of 9 seconds.
All your single-target that you're intended to use take less time to cast than your GCD timer. I say "that you're intended to use" because you CAN cast Blizzard 3 while under Umbral Ice or Fire 3 without a Firestarter stack while under Astral Fire...but it's bad and dumb to do so. Don't do that. Speaking of which, I think the current setup recommends casting Blizzard 3 -> Blizzard 1 to recover your mana at level 50 against a single target? I feel like the MSQ Roulette makes that something worth being sure of... So you don't gain damage by using Triplecast on your regular stuff, meaning in boss fights it really is JUST for movement. This is an interesting case where they didn't have to do anything to the damage numbers to compensate - by increasing the cast speed they're already functionally giving more DPS than Triplecast was giving you before (any damage gain you would have been getting from "using Triplecast for optimal damage" is now just happening on every attack).
Personally, I like it so far. Only tried it out for a day, but it feels good. And at endgame you weren't using Fire 1 for Fire 1 anymore anyway, because you were exclusively using Paradox or the Firestarter it granted. The situation of using that button is still present. But in general the whole job is less rigid, more capable of adapting to changing situations without losing everything. And the design paradigm for FFXIV has been moving toward adaptation for like 2 expansions now, with Dawntrail representing a big jump that direction. BLM as it was did not fit that, and as it is fits it a little better. And I feel sorry for the folks who wish the job would mechanically gatekeep their main for them alone, but FFXIV is trying to be fun to play.

Wedded - Dragon! John Price x Reader | Chapter 1
Tumblr media
When you are mistaken by a dragon as his promised bride, you unexpectedly need to learn how to live with your new husband. After all, the dragon made a deal, and he wants his end of the bargain - you.
Current | Next Chapter
The results of the poll were clear. Dragon Price is first to come up and be written. This was also the only option who’s fic had multiple chapters sooo, woop woop! Hope you all enjoy :3
CW: f!reader, dragon Price, violence in future chapters
Word Count: 3028
Walking into the town, your eyes curiously looked around, an excitement blooming inside you – one you always found yourself in any time you got to a new part of the land, finding cities and villages you never knew existed.
This time, you’d made it to a village just south of the roaring mountains. A range that spanned the border of the land near the east. It was a relatively small village, and as you walked through to the marketplace, you immediately became aware of how close-knit the community was, as everyone seemed to know everyone.
Making you stick out like a sore thumb.
Still, your travels hadn’t gotten you this far if that was something that scared you off. And without further thought, you stepped up to one of the market brokers. The man was a botanist, obviously, selling herbs and wildflowers, your keen eyes curiously scanning around.
“Hello, madam!” The vendor perked up, giving you a once over, noting the large bag slung over your shoulder, as well as the leather-wrapped stick you were leaning on. “New to town?”
“Good morning.” You smiled politely. “Yes I am. It’s very nice.” You said, though as you looked around, it was evident that a scuffle had recently taken place. Broken wood and scorch marks riddling the buildings around.
“Can I help you find anything?” He asked, that typical salesman smile on his face.
Giving a small smile back, you shook your head. “No, I’m just looking for now.” You declined.
As you perused, you recognised most of the man’s wares. Within your own bag that was currently slung over your shoulder, you kept several exact specimens like the ones laid out before you.
After all, you’d been collecting them.
For the last three years, you’d been scouring the land, finding and testing herbs and wildflowers for their potencies and effects. What was once a hobby had become your life, with you abandoning your old one in the process. Yet not a day passed where you regretted your newfound freedom.
“Say, you seem very knowledgeable in this.” The vendor suddenly spoke up and you glanced at him, tilting your head in curiosity. Seeing that, the man explained. “Your eyes zero in on the rarer plants and skip over the common ones. Not many know them like I do.” He complimented.
“Oh, yes.” You smile. “I’m… well, a researcher. I’m writing a field guide on the plants of this continent and their effects.” You said, slight pride in your voice. Though it wasn’t a secret per se, saying it out loud was not something you often did. But giving the man’s profession, you figured it was worth a shot. “I’m looking for some rarer plants and I must ask, what is this one?” You questioned, pointing at a flower to the right. It had white, pointed petals that slowly turned blue the closer it got to the core, yellow spore marking the centre while the stem and leaves itself were green. Nothing like you’d ever seen before.
“That? Oh, that is a mountainscale lily.” He smiled, picking up the dried specimen. “Very rare. Found only in caves high up in the mountains.” As he said that, he turned and pointed to the looming mountain behind the village.
“I’ve never seen them before.” You mused, leaning in to get a better look.
“They’re native to this region. Only grow under very specific circumstances.” He explained and you nodded, curious.
“Is this in a place I could reach?” You questioned, making the vendor frown.
“I would not advise-“ “Ah! Hold on!” A woman suddenly interrupted, sliding in beside the merchant, her hand on his arm. The man looked a little startled, glancing at her in confusion, to which the woman nudged her head in your direction with an easy smile. “Look at the lady, she’s well equipped! Don’t be underestimating her now.” She teased, bumping her hip into his before squeezing his arm to get his attention and sending him a pointed stare, one you felt you shouldn’t be witnessing. At it, the man glanced from her to you – who was standing there confused – before grunting as he looked away from you, muttering under his breath.
Confused, you turned to the woman who turned to face you while smiling wide.
“Sorry about that. I couldn’t help but overhear.”
“That’s… okay.” You hummed, shifting your hiking stick to your other hand, a little put off by her sudden appearance. “So, am I correct in saying you think I could get to where the flowers grow?” You questioned, the woman seeming to light up.
“I am positive! In fact, I would like to ask to make a deal with you. Hire you, if you will.”
That was both intriguing and concerning at the same time. Anyone could take one glance at you and see you weren’t exactly a mercenary for hire.
“Darla, no-“ The man started, placing his hand on her shoulder, but the woman just shrugged it off.
“Hush now, I’m sure it will be no problem.” She smiled, keeping her eyes on you, to which the man grabbed her elbow, forcefully turning her to face him.
“Don’t. This is our problem. We must bear the consequences.” He said pointedly, but Darla scoffed and yanked her arm free.
“We have a perfectly capable young woman here.” She spoke, glaring at him.
“I’m sorry, what’s going on?” You asked, confused and before the man could say anything, Darla stepped in.
“These flowers. They have a healing capability. About a month ago, our village was raided and our supply stolen.” She spoke, a resentment sounding in her voice. “It was supposed to last us through the winter but now new flowers need to be plucked. The problem is that gathering them requires skill and knowledge. No one but my husband can do it, but he injured his leg during the raid and hasn’t been able to make the trip.” She said while gesturing to him.
“Oh. I’m sorry to hear.” You frowned in sympathy, looking at the vendor who had a defeated look, sitting down on his stool behind his stall. When looking around at the village, the evidence of a scuffle was clear. And not a small one. Not only were there the ruins and scorch marks around you, some houses were even burned down on the outskirts – which you’d seen when coming into town.
“Listen.” The man spoke up, catching your attention again. “The mountains aren’t easy to traverse, especially with an injury. It’s not a safe road. Think about this.” He warned, looking at his plants, avoiding your eyes.
Your brows creased together in thought as you then looked at the woman. “So… what is it you want?”
Darla perked up, her eyes landing on you before turning pleading as she walked around the stall, grasping your hands and holding them up between you and her. “We will tell you how to find the flowers. And in return, I beg you to retrieve a satchel full of them for our village. We cannot survive winter without them.”
Blinking in surprise, you looked from her, down to the pressed flower laying on the wood of the stall. You’d never heard of a flower which had capabilities such as that.
“I-“ You glanced up at her again. Her hand was holding yours tightly.
“You can take this one for free.” She then quickly spoke, grabbing the pressed flower and pushing it into your hand.
Frowning, you looked down at it, briefly studying the colours and make before sighing, looking at the vendor again, who was still looking down. While the thought of a flower having such potent capabilities was hard to believe - not without it having some sort of addicting feature – the opportunity to study it was too good to pass up. “Okay.”
At your simple word, Darla lit up, grinning wide, though it was almost scary as she then turned to her husband and hugged him. “We’re going to be alright!” Before you could say anything, she moved back over to you, gripping your shoulders. “You will save every young maiden in our village from a terrible and ill fate.”
Letting out a bit of a confused chuckle, you leaned back a bit. “Why, does the flower not affect men?”
At that, Darla cackled a laugh – a surprisingly pleasant sound.
“Come, let me give you a map and explain how to get there.” She smiled, placing her hand on your backpack, gently pushing you with her, leading you across the market.
And in the haste of her offering you a place to stay at her impressively lavish two-story house, food, a map into the mountains and all the instructions that came with it, you failed to realise that the herbal vendor never came to the house, nor that neither him or Darla wore wedding rings.
- - - -
Leaning on your stick, you paused at the edge of the trail, huffing and puffing.
Since the early hours of dawn you’d been walking, resting periodically to make sure you’d be fit to continue.
According to Darla, the hike to the nearest cave containing the wildflowers was ten hours – on top of the hour you’d already travelled by horse together with the woman.
She had been incredibly helpful, sticking close to you and repeatedly thanking you for being willing to do this. Hell, it almost felt like she was glued to your hip until the moment you reached the foot of the mountain, where she was all too eager to send you off on your way, taking the horses back home.
Not that you blamed her.
Walking over to the rocky face of the mountain, you leaned against it, staying away from the trail’s edge, not to keen to fall down it. Shifting down to sit, you pulled your backpack off your back, digging in to get your journal where you flicked to the most recent entry.
Opening the page, you carefully picked up the pressed mountainscale lily, turning it in your hand. Before parting ways with Darla, you’d asked her many questions about the flower’s properties. She’d seemed a little flustered, almost unwilling to talk about it.
Glancing down at your notes, you pulled out the charcoal pencil from the spine of your journal, drawing a line down from the drawing you made of the flower.
Hunching forward, you scribbled a single word before a loud thud suddenly echoed through the forest down below, making you snap your head up, looking over the sea of orange-leafed trees before you. Far in the distance, birds rose to the air, making you hum curiously.
Glancing back down at the journal, you placed the flower back between the pages before closing the book, getting back to your feet again, ready to pass the next few hours mulling over your new hypothesis, that one word echoing in your mind.
‘Addictive?’
- - - -
Pulling your coat tightly around yourself, you shivered, tying the strings directly under your chin. Even with the sun shining fully in the sky, the air was frigid – a cause of both the height you were walking at, as well as the nearing of winter.
You’d long since pulled out your woollen hat, keeping yourself as warm as possible, your hands feeling like ice.
Holding your map tight, your eyes glanced from the parchment and up the trail you were currently on. It was small, a goat’s path more than anything and one misstep would result in you plummeting down onto rocks far below.
Yet as you looked right, you couldn’t help but be in absolute awe by the view.
As far as your eyes could see, the forest stretched. Along the way, a wide river shimmered in the slowly setting sun, everything bathed in a gorgeous light, enhancing the golden leaves of the autumn trees. If you weren’t at threat of losing the light, you’d have sat down to draw it.
Looking back at the map, you breathed out, exhausted. Your feet hurt, every step making you question whether or not this was worth all the hassle. Yet as you grasped onto the brittle rock on your left and rounded the bend, you saw it.
A large opening sat in the side of the mountain, a plateau in front of it providing plenty of space. The cave opening alone must have been the size of nearly two houses beside each other.
And about ten meters in front of you, you saw it.
A mountainscale lily gently flowed back and forth in the breeze, the petals gently moving.
Firmly pushing off your stick, you began walking towards it, crouching beside the flower.
It was small, incomplete and evidently not growing in ideal circumstances, too exposed to the wind.
Leaving it where it was, you kept going. The cave sat about thirty meters ahead and your heart began thudding in excitement.
Every herb and wildflower you’d documented so far was one you either already knew, or had vaguely heard of. All of them were known, most likely researched, used in experiments until every purpose was exploited. But this one? You’d never heard of a flower like this. And the thought of you being the first to properly document it? It filled you with an eager excitement.
Reaching the cave, instantly you saw the lily’s on the edges of the opening, blooming in the dirt-like ground that littered the plateau you were standing on, the forest behind you and far below.
Taking off your backpack, you moved over the left, crouching by a cluster of the flowers. Digging into your pack, you pulled out your journal and knife, carefully starting to prod at and study the flower, carelessly scribbling anything of note down.
Your mind was only focused on a single thing, yet as you inspected the flower, you noted that even in its alive state, the colours were less bright than the pressed flower the vendor had given you. Even these flowers weren’t sufficiently growing.
“Is it the cave?” You mumbled to yourself, setting your items down and getting to your feet.
Slowly, you started to walk in through the massive opening, your body casting a tiny shadow in the large circle of light.
For a minute or so, you moved. Yet the further you went, the more you walked, a dread slowly started to settle in the pit of your stomach.
Something felt off.
Stalactites hung from the ceiling, ominous and casting shadows onto the top of the cavern.
The light from the entrance was pale, limited. And as you walked forward, you slowly got to the cap of it. Daylight reached into the cave in almost a halo. A safe circle of pale light, ending where you stood now, right at your feet.
Normally, you didn’t feel like this. Normally, you’d step into the shaded part of a cavern without trouble but in this moment? You couldn’t.
There was something about this place that wasn’t right. Unnatural.
…Warm.
The cave was warm.
It was subtle, not immediately noticeable until you focused on it, but still your eyes widened in realisation of that fact. Despite climbing high up, damn near into the mountains to get here. There was no frigid cold. The difference from the moderately chilly air outside and in here was noticeable. And it definitely didn’t come from the watery sun outside.
A breeze suddenly picked up, a gust of wind so fast you had to snap your hand up to hold onto your hat, your eyes closing on instinct as your clothes billowed and ruffled.
Clutching the strap of your bag with one hand and your hat with the other, you dared to peek an eye open. Yet as you did, your heart sunk, watching as the sun that had been shining on your back was blocked, a shadow sliding in and covering your body.
The gust of wind passed, your heartbeat thudding harshly in your chest as you could hear every breath you took, your eyes wide as you stared at the unnatural shadow currently cast over you. A shadow that shouldn’t be there. A shadow that wasn’t a second ago.
Slowly, as if a thousand weights hung on you, you turned your head around. And the clench of your jaw slackened as a terror fell over you.
Sitting there, sprawled  across the opening of the cave, hung a dragon.
With scales a deep green, its eyes were fixed on you, unblinking while it sat. Hanging on the rock, its massive form blocked out the sunlight, small slivers only escaping near the corners of the scaly creature, the light almost casting it in a halo. Or hellfire.
You’d never seen a dragon before, only heard stories of knights or travellers, regaling the terror and power they could wreak.
You didn’t dare blink or move, just stuck in a staring contest until for the first time, it made a noise as a billow of smoke escaped its maw, a rumble echoing through the cave as it shifted, muscle rippling and scales glistening in the light.
With a deliberate and slow movement, it flexed the joints of its wings, stretching them slightly and blocking out even that last bit of sunlight that was on your body, fully encasing you in its mighty shadow.
With barely anything else to do, you turned your body around to face it like your head was, and as if on cue, that made it move.
Slinking down from the large cave entrance, the dragon landed on the rocky ground, front paws thudding down before the rest of the body followed, moving towards you.
Terrified, you stumbled back, wanting to run, though your heel hooked behind the uneven ground of the cave, making you fall onto your back harshly.
With the wind knocked out of you, you’d barely opened your eyes before you found the dragon’s maw hanging right above you, an amusement dancing in the crinkle of its eyes.
“Please-“ You whispered, only for the dragon to not hear as it instead spoke.
“Finally made the decision to show up, did we? You’re four hours late.”

I’ll try to get the next chapter out as soon as I can! Please let me know what you thought and if there is interest for a tag list for future chappies ❤️

"In today's digital age, the ubiquitous nature of content has paradoxically led to a dilution of its potency. With the democratization of content creation, anyone with an internet connection can produce and distribute information, leading to an oversaturation of the digital landscape. This phenomenon has profound implications, rendering content less impactful and more ephemeral.
First, the sheer volume of content available online has created a paradox of choice. Every minute, hundreds of hours of video are uploaded to platforms like YouTube, thousands of blog posts are published, and millions of social media updates are posted. This relentless flow of information makes it difficult for any single piece of content to stand out. The audience, overwhelmed by options, often resorts to skimming or entirely ignoring vast amounts of content, diminishing its overall impact.
Moreover, the quality of content has become highly variable. While the ease of content creation has empowered many voices, it has also led to an influx of low-quality, poorly researched, and sometimes misleading or false information. This glut of mediocre content competes with high-quality, well-researched pieces, making it challenging for audiences to discern value and trustworthiness. As a result, even content of genuine worth can struggle to achieve the recognition and engagement it deserves.
Another critical factor contributing to the impotency of content is the algorithm-driven nature of content distribution. Social media platforms and search engines prioritize content based on engagement metrics such as likes, shares, and comments rather than the inherent quality or informational value. This prioritization often leads to the virality of sensational, clickbait content at the expense of substantive, insightful work. Consequently, the attention economy favors superficial engagement over deep, meaningful interactions with content.
Additionally, the fast-paced consumption habits of modern audiences further erode the potency of content. The average attention span has dwindled in the face of constant digital distractions. People increasingly consume content in bite-sized formats, such as tweets or short videos, which limits their exposure to in-depth analysis or comprehensive narratives. This shift towards brevity undermines the ability of content to foster nuanced understanding or sustained engagement.
The commercialization of content also plays a significant role in its diminishing impact. Content marketing has become a dominant strategy for businesses, leading to a proliferation of branded content. While this can provide value, it also contributes to the noise and can sometimes prioritize promotional messages over genuine, informative content. The blending of editorial and advertising content can lead to skepticism and diminished trust among audiences, further reducing the impact of the content they encounter.
Lastly, the fleeting nature of digital content means that it often has a very short lifespan. Unlike traditional media, which could have a lasting presence, digital content is quickly buried under the avalanche of new information. This ephemeral existence means that even impactful content can be forgotten rapidly as attention shifts to the next trending topic.
In conclusion, the impotency of content in today's times is a multifaceted issue stemming from the overwhelming volume of information, variable quality, algorithm-driven distribution, changing consumption habits, commercialization, and the ephemeral nature of digital content. To reclaim the potency of content, creators and platforms must prioritize quality, foster trust, and find ways to engage audiences meaningfully and sustainably amidst the cacophony of the digital age."
Love and more ..

For requests, could I pretty please request some chenmiya? Maybe a naughty get together from the succubus au we keep talking about? Like their first one. It can be anything anywhere! Thank youuu love you forever!
Of course madame. Our special this evening is angsty dramatic victorian beans undergoing gothic emotions in a stereotypical yuri highschool setting with a side of implied future throuple.
(Everyone present is 18 or older, ofc.) (Dubcon warning, and descriptions of hunger, pls be safe!)
/\/\/\/\/\
Amiya has always been studious. Responsible. Responsive to instruction.
She always gets her schoolwork done ahead of time. She always waters all the flowerbeds across the grounds on-schedule. She always scores in the top 5 on every test. She never misses class. She never lets herself be seen out late.
And she never, ever eats where she sleeps.
But last night she was stuck inside, getting ahead on homework she wouldn’t be able to do on next week’s trip, and she didn’t have a chance to step out at night and get something to eat. And her emergency backup option, the NEET at the corner house by the train station who always sleeps late, had chosen this day, of all days, to get up early and venture outside.
The nurse is out today too. Her teacher asks for some help during lunch, so she doesn’t have time to sneak over to the other section where that scary flashy girl always takes naps for a snack.
And when school lets out, she has an appointment to talk about her college recommendation.
But it’s fine. It’s fine. She’s made it through the day. She just has to finish watering the last of the flowers and go home.
But she’s so, so hungry.
She wipes her forehead clean of sweat and adjusts her straw hat.
“—Amiya.”
Oh no.
Ch’en’s low voice, normally stoic—even chilly—is so warm, curling with fondness at the edges.
A shiver, a pit of dread and tension settles low in her belly.
“Oh, Ch’en!” She pushes herself to her feet and turns. “How—“
Her eye twitches. The way her track uniform compliments her—the exposed belly, the strong arms, the bead of sweat tracing the line of her handsome jaw. The casual potency of her posture. The way her hair is tied up, exposing the line of her neck.
The way she smells.
“…was your meet today?”
“Hmm. I’m proud enough of my performance, but there’s always room for improvement. But the freshmen really put in their best effort this time.” She smiles, then, subtly proud and caring in that thin, hard-won way that torments Amiya’s nights. “It seems like you’re working hard as well. Can I help you with anything?”
Amiya’s stomach growls.
“Oh! No, thank you, that’s very sweet of you to offer, but I’m almost done, and I’m sure you’re pretty tired anyway.” She turns away to hide her irises narrowing like a cat’s.
“Are you sure?” Ch’en asks, stepping forward. The cloud of her scent envelops Amiya, all active sweat and cool assurance and stoic virility, and she feels herself twitch. “I don’t want to push you, but I promise it wouldn’t be a burden. Anything you need, you know you can ask me.”
Ch’en steadying her with a hand on her waist, and smiling down at her with her eyes from so close up. Ch’en sternly scolding the first years, but smiling proudly as soon as they turn around, resolved to give it their best renewed again. Ch’en demolishing the opposition in a kendo match, and stoically, graciously accepting her medal. Ch’en gathering Amiya’s hand in both of hers, murmuring soft words of reassurance and then wiping her tears with her fingertips. Ch’en grabbing a book from a high shelf, and handing it to her with a smirk. Ch’en, warmth in her voice, calling her name.
Amiya grips her watering can, white-knuckled. Her gut flares with hunger. Ch’en, Ch’en is always like this. She’s so cool, but so gentle, considerate. So bold, so unguarded… she’s so good, she makes it hard for Amiya not to be bad.
“… Ch’en, you really—”
“Ahaha! Chenchen, don’t be so needy! Give the little bunny some space.”
“—oof!”
Amiya puts the can down and turns just in time to see Ch’en struggle her way out of the crook of Blaze’s elbow, her top rucking up all the way to the bottom of her sports bra as pushes out of her teammate’s sweaty embrace. She glares at her like an affronted cat, but Blaze has already changed targets.
“Waaahh!”
“Ehe, gotcha!” Blaze’s big arms trap Amiya in their hold, her face pushed up into her bicep and the corner of a boob pressed into her eye.
“Blaze, you’re all sweaty!” she whines, cheeks burning as she stops up her breath so she doesn’t breathe in her scent, doesn’t make a lunge at her own childhood friend.
“Awww, you’re sweaty too, y’know, working so hard out here in all this heat!” She pulls Amiya’s hat off, and ruffles her fingers in her hair. “I guess you’re right, though, I’m probably pretty rank.” She laughs, loud as ever, releasing Amiya from her prison to stumble back a step. “I did run my heart out, after all.” She taps her pacemaker scar where it peeks out from under her running top and winks at Amiya, who rolls her eyes good-naturedly.
Her arms are so strong and heavy, she’s so warm, so generous, surely…
“You know,” Blaze says, turning her gaze back to Ch’en, “this one here smoked everybody in four different events. Pretty impressive, right?” There’s a straightness to her spine, all of a sudden, a firmness—challenge. Ch’en gazes straight back at her, unflinching. “If you’re so humble like that, you’ll make the rest of us busting our asses to catch you feel bad. I dunno, maybe you should take some more pride in your accomplishments.”
“If you don’t like it,” Ch’en replies, “then beat me.”
Ah. She can feel it in the air. Tension, desire. She’s hungry.
“Oh, you can count on it,” Blaze growls, smiling slowly. “I better not catch you resting on your laurels, or I’ll knock you off your feet.”
“I guess we’ll see.”
“I guess we will.”
They stare each other down.
Amiya’s stomach growls. If she pushed them together, here, into each others’ space, she could fill her belly. It would be so so tasty.
She needs to get home.
“Anyway!” Blaze claps her hands together. “I gotta get out of here. I’ve got a meeting I’m gonna be late to. Oh yeah!” she exclaims, stiltedly, and turns to Amiya with a big shit-eating grin. “I totally forgot, I was supposed to wheel the equipment cart back to the storage room. Could you two please get it for me?” She winks at Amiya, with the smug pride of an expert wingman.
Amiya’s stomach drops. She makes frantic eyes at Blaze, who mimes a fistbump and then spins away.

“Okey dokey, that’s all the time I have! See ya see ya!”
Before Amiya can say anything, she dashes off, leaving her and Ch’en alone again.
Ch’en’s eyes are already back on her. Amiya can hear her heart beating in her ears. “Sorry about her,” she says. “She’s always been like that, but she means well.”

Ch’en nods, smiling gently at her in that way she has, just for Amiya. “You’re a good friend. And she’s a good teammate.”
Amiya turns away from her, cheeks warm, insides a mess. It’s not fair, for Ch’en to smile like that, to talk to her so softly, when she’s trying so hard to keep her hands to herself. “Alright! Let me just finish up here, and then I’ll go take care of that cart.”
“We’ll take care of it. Please, Amiya, at least let me help you with that.”
She doesn’t have the heart to say no.
She’s so doomed.
Amiya puts her glasses back on, and grips the handle of the cart with sweaty hands. Next to her, Ch’en’s left hand almost touches her right, and she patiently waits for Amiya to brace herself before she starts pushing, together with her.
Amiya’s stomach is full of butterflies and gnawing emptiness. Ch’en smells good. So good. Just a little taste, a little bit—she knows she’d be so satisfying, and then—
She shakes her head.
“Amiya, are you alright?”
Guileless concern. Tenderness. It’s so much.
“I’m fine, don’t worry!”
“You always say that. You’re so strong. But if you ever need to lean on someone, I’m here for you.”
She pulses.
It’s not fair, Ch’en, it’s not fair.
She licks her teeth, inside her mouth.
And together, they push.
She knows she’s cute. People say she’s pretty. And her gently teasing sense of humor, the contrast with her primness, is honed and effective. Amiya is confident in her abilities.
But Ch’en never responds to any of it. Not even a little bit of want to tide her over during the schoolday. She knows Ch’en likes girls, from the low hum of desire that leaks from her in the changing room, even as she graciously and inconspicuously turns her head aside aside. But that desire has never been turned towards Amiya, no matter how hard she’s tried.
Instead, she always gets that smile, that soft smile—polite, respectful, restrained, yet warm and unguarded. It drives her crazy, has driven her crazy. It’s that smile she sees after she falls asleep on Ch’en’s shoulder, when she presses her chest into her arm, when Amiya lets their eye contact linger a moment too long and then smiles, when she laughs at something and then gives her a single glimpse of something mischievous: when she leans in close and brushes hair out of her face, and smiles at her; when she traces her muscles with a little laugh, and then goes quiet breathing just a little harder; when she laces her fingers into Ch’en’s, and smiles up at her.
And always, always, she gets that same smile back. Because Amiya’s been crazy about her since before she used to leave little letters of encouragement in her locker, since before she came of age and started hunting on her own, since before they met again in highschool and before the years they were separated by fate and circumstance.
Ch’en smiled at her that same way during those months in the hospital waiting room back when they were in fifth grade, going through tragedies beyond what anyone their age should have to hold.
And Amiya’s feelings have changed with the seasons, with the years.
But Ch’en’s smile never changes.
Ch’en’s just really fond of her.
They reach the storage shed.
And of course, of course, Ch’en asks Amiya to hold the door while she pushes the cart inside—always trying to surreptitiously give her the lighter task, to take on more for herself, always framing it as a request for help because she knows how self-conscious Amiya can get.
If she knew, Amiya thinks, would she do the same thing? Would she feel obligated to…
They fit the cart in, and the doors swing shut behind them, and then they’re alone together in that dark, cramped space.
She feels hollow. Empty. Her hands are tingling, her head hurts. Ch’en smells so so good. She could just, a little bit…
“Amiya? Are you alright?”
“Oh. Yes, I’m… I’m fine, thank you.” She smiles weakly. Her head is spinning. Ch’en frowns at her, unconvinced, worried. “Please. Let’s just… get this done with?”
“… Alright. If you say so. But please, if you need anything…”
Amiya digs a fingernail into her hand.
“You’ll be the first to know.”
Together, they begin to unload the cart. Hurdles, warmup equipment, batons, stanchions… the space is cramped, and they keep brushing against each other. It’s not fair, she can’t take it. The whole room smells like Ch’en, it smells so good, and she has to…
She crouches down to grab a box of starting blocks from the lower rack, and when she stands up she feels a rush of numbness all of a sudden, her vision goes blank, and she stumbles sleepily.
As the blood slowly reaches her brain, she realizes… Ch’en, she’s touching her. She’s slumped against Ch’en’s chest, an arm slung under her own to hold her up. Her touch is so soothing, a slow trickle of the vital energy that spills from her, tantalizing Amiya’s yawning hunger. At some point, Ch’en deftly took the box from her hand. She looks up into those concerned eyes, and she wants so badly that it hurts, a dull sting through her whole body like slow fire.
“Please, Amiya. Please at least let me carry the heavy things.”
“…Okay. I’m sorry. Thank you, Ch’en.”
“Can you stand?”
She pushes herself to her feet, and they stand there, so close together, breathing onto each others’ faces.
She could just stand on her tiptoes, and…
Ch’en gently smooths out the collar of her uniform with her free hand, and smiles at her, all princely worry.
She pats Amiya’s shoulder, and then steps in against her to pass by her on the narrow shelves, heading for the place on the rack for starting blocks.
Absently, Amiya wanders back to the cart, fixing her glasses, and grabs something from it.
Too much. It’s all too much. All these years, and all these hours… she’s at her limit.
I can’t take it anymore, Ch’en. I can’t. I’m so hungry. I know you’ll never want me like that. So I’ll give you a little push, and we can have a pleasant dream together, and then go back to being friends. Help me with this one little thing, will you?
With a feeling of dread anticipation, she spills over.
There’s… no existing attraction there to amplify. So she’s really, really gotta let her have it.
She fills up the dark, cool space of the shed. The shadows stretch and lengthen, a half-dreamscape overtaking the waking world.
“Ch’en,” she says, voice sweet, breathy: stretching, reaching helplessly to place a stack of plastic cones on the top shelf. “Can you help me with this? I can’t reach high enough.”
“Of course,” she says, her voice aching, yearning. “Anything… anything. You know I would—”
Her voice. As she talks her voice sinks deeper and deeper into her chest, becomes something husky, fervid. “And I… you’re so… I don’t—“ Ch’en trails off, behind her. Amiya hears her swallow. Feels her gaze burning into her. She can feel that throb of desire finally, finally, pointed her way, the heat she’s yearned for.
She just wishes it didn’t have to happen like this.
“Ch’en?” She sounds shy, sweet. Ch’en’s always liked that type—bookish, kind, gentle. She’s always caught her eye on girls like that.
Except for…
“Ah. Ah… I’m sorry. Of course.”
Ch’en steps in, pressed right up against her from behind, and gently takes the plastic cones from her hands, pressing her into the shelves as she reaches up to put them away.
“There you go,” she says, husky and soothing.
But she doesn’t step away.
Amiya shivers.
“Ch’en…? Are you“
Those rough, kind hands gently caress her forearms, up to her wrists. Then they seize her, and press her firmly to the equipment in front of her.
She whines as Ch’en leans in, heavy breaths blowing hot against her ear, chest pressing into her back.
“Amiya, Amiya, I… I shouldn’t, but you—“
Amiya yields to her entirely, letting herself be pinned to the heavy box in front of her, sighing in satisfaction.
Ch’en makes a wounded noise behind her, panting heavily, sweating. “I can’t… you’re so…” she takes in a breath, a pull into her lungs of the scent of Amiya’s hair from just behind her ear, and sobs. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. Amiya I’m sorry, I can’t—“
It’s like ice water thrown over her whole body.
What… what is she doing?
She takes in a deep breath, and pulls her energy back up into herself.
Ch’en stumbles away from her and into the other shelves, throwing a hand up to catch herself as they shake with a clatter.
Amiya’s chest feels hollowed out. Crushed. She had shaped it to feel like just a simple, meaningless sexy dream, and idle fantasy, but Ch’en had fought so hard, and… and it had turned into a nightmare.
Oh. She really. Really doesn’t like me, like that, even if I…
“I’m sorry,” she says. “I’m sorry, Ch’en, I… it was my fault, I made you…”
“No,” Ch’en says, grave, dreadful, but still so gentle. “No, Amiya, please. Listen to me. This is—this is my fault. I didn’t have enough self-control, I—you can’t blame yourself, for things I did. You don’t control my actions, I do. I’m the one to blame. I need you to know that.”
She sounds like she’s gritting her teeth. Like she’s going to cry.
Oh, Ch’en. She’d been careless. She’d wounded her heart, through her own selfishness, and now proud, gentle Ch’en was tearing herself apart for sins that weren’t her own, falling on her own sword to spare Amiya the pain she thought she’d caused.
There’s no coming back from this. She has done something that can’t be taken back.
There’s only one thing she can do to make it right. One way to take back the blame that rightfully belongs with her, even if it destroys this life she’s built these last 18 years.
She pushes off the shelf, pulls away from Ch’en, stepping into the open center of the storage shed. She watches as Ch’en’s heart visibly breaks as she retreats, seeing in it the confirmation of her guilt.
“I’m sorry, Ch’en,” she says. She carves this last look at her into her heart, smiling wistfully.
It’s been so much fun.
“I’ve been keeping something from you.”
She closes her eyes. Her wings unfurl from her hips, her horns spiral from her head, and her long, thin tail fades into existence behind her.
She can’t bear to see the reaction.
“I pushed those feelings on you. Since you… weren’t interested in me, I used my powers to… give you a little push. Just because I was hungry. I’m sorry, Ch’en. I’m so sorry.”
“Amiya…” she breathes. “what…?”
She forces a watery smile. “I’m not human. I’ve been lying to you all this time. I… I’m sorry.”
“I had no idea.” Ch’en’s voice is so soft. She steps closer. Amiya feels the rough, kind brush of her hand, where her neck and shoulder meet. “All this time, you’ve been carrying this alone…”
Amiya trembles. She’s so kind, even to someone like—
“…I’m sorry too. There’s something I’ve been keeping from you, as well.” Her voice is so low, so rough, so heavy with emotion.
Amiya blinks open her eyes. Ch’en is right there in front of her, smiling ruefully.
She bends down, resting her forehead on Amiya’s shoulder, like she’s praying, like she’s in pain.
“You didn’t need any kind of magic. I…”
She takes a slow, painful breath, and lets it out as a shudder, a death rattle.
Her fingers ball in Amiya’s uniform, clutching, desperate.
And then it hits her—a wave of yearning, of hunger, so strong, so compressed, it makes her feel drunk, a head-high that leaves her feeling sluggish and ragged.
“Oh, Ch’en… you—hnnn!”
Ch’en bites her shoulder, possessed with passion, the dull clamp of a predator’s prey-like desperation.
Amiya latches onto her in turn, arms and wings and tail clutching her close, squeezing her tight.
Ch’en licks the mark she’s made on her shoulder, slow and fervent, breaths shuddering, like she’s moving in a dream, so far beyond thought and reason. She nips at Amiya’s ear, and a spark shoots through her.
“I’ve always told you,” Ch’en murmurs, voice hoarse, wrecked, “if you need anything, please, please… please, take it from me.”
Amiya sobs.
Without saying a word, she gathers her power, and pours everything into Ch’en.

It’s time for the school play and it’s Romeo & Juliet. Mikasa gets the role of Juliet and Eren couldn’t give a fuck about the play until he found out Romeo and Juliet kiss, in front of everybody. And now Eren is obsessively after the role, only he can’t act to save his life
There's this animanga from the late 80s/early 90s that I adore called Ranma 1/2 that has a Romeo and Juliet high school theater production arc and all I can picture is that but with Eremika as Ranma and Akane. I'm going to try to break free from that restraint.
Okay, so first things first, if Mikasa got the role and Eren didn't, that means she auditioned and he probably didn't bother. So he's shit out of luck by the time he finds out the guy cast as Romeo (Jean??? Maybe???) is going to be kissing Mikasa. This means Eren has two options: to make sure the kiss doesn't happen or to steal the role.
So, what does Eren do?
He gets himself appointed to the stage crew, of course, and begins doing everything he can to make Jean's life a living hell.
He's smacking into him with set pieces, sabotaging his props, he is orchestrating wardrobe malfunctions left and right. During rehearsals, every time they get to the kiss he knocks something over and interrupts them. The director is getting fed up but they also can't help but love watching the drama unfold before them, so they let Eren do his thing for the most part and wonder what is going to happen when the boy can't delay the kiss any longer.
Eren's already on top of that. He knows he can't keep dropping set pieces when there's an audience because he doesn't want to ruin the play for Mikasa, but he also would rather die than see her kiss another guy. Therefore, he needs Jean out of the picture. He concluded long ago that if he's going to keep Mikasa's lips for himself he has to give Jean mono. What better way to put him out of commission and prevent the kiss than the kissing disease itself? Eren loves the irony. Or, he would if he paid attention in English class long enough to know what irony is.
And so, Eren's quest to give Jean mono is already well under way by the time he enters the scene as a member of the stage crew.
But wait, you may say. How is Eren going to infect another kid with mono if he doesn't have it? You forget that Eren's father is a doctor. Eren knows from dinner time conversation that there's been an outbreak of it at a nearby high school and tons of those kids have it. All Eren has to do is get in touch with one of them and obtain their spit. He is not bound by the strictures of common decency or shame, so he starts hitting kids at the other school up, trying to find one who is just as depraved as he is who is willing to sell him their diseased saliva. And you know he manages to find one.
He cuts school takes the bus to the next town over , exchanging fifty dollars for a baby food jar full of saliva from a fellow unhinged teenage, then hurrying back to campus before the virus loses potency.
He arrives just in time for lunch and immediately gets busy contaminating poor Jean's food when he isn't looking.
Then he sits back and crosses his fingers that Jean's symptoms will hit before opening night (it takes 4 - 6 weeks for the infection to brew). He also makes sure to keep Jean's putrid lips off Mikasa. His on-stage kerfuffles have been protecting more than just his own tender heart. He's got to keep Jean from infecting Mikasa, lest Eren find himself onstage as Romeo without his Juliet.
Jean is looking concerningly healthy as opening night approaches, though, and Eren is beginning to think he's going to have to go back to the other kid's house and demand a refund when, with only two days to spare, Jean succumbs to Eren's machinations and falls ill with mononucleosis.
The director is freaking out. Jean can't be in the play if he has mono but who is going to fill in for him?
Eren to the rescue. Surprise, surprise. He has the part memorized.
The director has no choice. The show must go on even if it means Romeo recites all his lines like a robot and everyone in the audience can tell he's slipping Juliet some tongue when he kisses her. At least, the audience all tentatively agree as they try to find a bright spot in the mess of a play they just witnessed, the two leads have tons of chemisty.

You may have answered this already but, what VTM clans would you asign to the dracula polycule?
Ohh, great question! Let's see!
I think for the sake of a more thorough analysis, I'm actually going to ignore VtM canon, since Dracula actually is a canon character who encouraged Bram Stoker to write a fictionalised version of his adventures. He has a signed first edition copy that Beckett sees. It's kinda hilarious.
In VtM canon, he's the 5th generation childe of Lambach Ruthven and has a host of disciplines at very high levels (seriously - Animalism 6, Auspex 5, Celerity 4, Dominate 5, Fortitude 5, Koldunic Sorcery 5 (with Earth, Fire, and Spirit all at 5), Potence 5, Protean 4, and Vicissitude 5). Hilariously, this means he actually doesn't have Mist Form, since that's Protean 5. Lucy and Mina are/were Tzimisce as well (Lucy dies, Mina survives to modern nights), Renfield was a ghoul. But let's adapt straight from the novel instead!
Dracula: I mean, obviously he's still Tzimisce, the clan is literally based on him. If we're just going off the novel, I see him more as Old Clan, the archetypal Voivode (also literally Voivode, that was Vlad Țepeș' literal title, he was Voivode of Wallachia - hilariously, he had no association with Transylvania other than being born in Sighișoara up until Stoker's book). He has the soil association, he clearly has Auspex and Animalism, and I feel he uses Dominate a fair bit, especially in the context of memory erasure, luring Lucy, et cetera. He also shows clear signs of Protean (Shape of the Beast bat and wolf forms, Mist Form), but, notably, not Vicissitude proper, and some alternate magical abilities, especially weather/fog manipulation, which can tie in with Koldunic sorcery, especially Way of Wind. So, a straight adaptation would be Old Clan Tzimisce with Koldunic sorcery and Protean. He also has the Folkloric Bane flaw where he takes agg damage from running water, and we'll ignore the sunlight thing XD;;
Jonathan: If we're directly adapting from the novel, then Dracula is the one who Embraces Jonathan, Mina, and Lucy. By default, that makes them all Tzimisce. Using my homebrew because I have no shame, his bane and connection to Home would be to Mina (yeah, he was having a rough time until their reunion). I do think Tzimisce could work well for him, he's a fairly fluid character and exemplifies Change more than any other character in the novel. Even if he was Embraced as technically Old Clan, I like the idea of spontaneous emergence of Vicissitude - and lo, a sudden change of hair colour!
Mina: Also Tzimisce; again, it's a fairly good fit. She and Jonathan share a mutual blood bond, too. Her Home is Jonathan, but she also has a secondary connection to trains and railways, and can avoid the aggravated Willpower damage by riding the rails. She would fit it well as well; like Jonathan, she's a fluid, adaptable character.
Lucy: Poor, poor Lucy! Definitely Embraced as Tzimisce, definitely not a great fit. I feel she'd be a much more natural fit for Toreador, with a love for beauty and a strong connection to humanity and people. She just wants to spend time with her coterie ;_;
Jack: Okay, two options here. One is Malkavian, often found in mental health settings - I'm thinking of Richard Dunham here specifically, but also Netchurch (even if the latter is more focused on physiology). He'd have a more subtle derangement, I think - possible OCD, definitely depression. The other option is Tremere, and I think that might be the better fit. He likes an Experiment. He would have so much fun with Thaumaturgy :D (Slightly terrified :D !)
Arthur: Man's one of the few valid Ventrue. Nobility? Check. Money? Check. He's quite aware of his privilege and considers it an honour and a duty to look after his coterie, even if he recognises that, lbr, Mina is really the one running the show. Also has out-of-clan Animalism so he can chat to his dogs, thanks to…
Quincey: Gangrel! Like yes he is absolutely playing up the Cowboy Thing to make Lucy smile so that could be a Toreador thing, but he does genuinely still fit it even after her death. He has an understanding with horses and bats, and bats do not act like that tyvm.
Van Helsing: He's Jack's sire (therefore Tremere) and Jack has never, ever gotten over the brief blood bond they shared. They have. A dynamic :D (No genuinely the sire-childe thing actually works really well here for their simultaneous familial and psychosexual relationship.)
Renfield: If we're going straight canon, he's a ghoul. If we actually give him a clan, there are also two possible options here! One is Malkavian - he's definitely got a derangement or two. The other, of course, is Nagaraja, although I'm actually feeling Malkavian here moreso than Nagaraja. He doesn't need to eat flesh, he just… has that fixation with it. Either way, I feel he has a blood bond to Dracula. Like that bit is 100% whether he's a ghoul or a Cainite. Hashtag Renfield deserves better!

The Enduring Power of the Oil Lamp: A Time-Honored Tool In Mountain Folk Magick
The Appalachian region is known for its enchanted mountains, which hold a deep-rooted past of practical but extraordinary techniques and traditions. Among them, one tool has stood the test of time - the oil lamp. This unassuming yet potent household item has been used worldwide throughout time. Also, it has been an essential part of mountain folk magick for generations, renowned for its effectiveness and versatility in money drawing, legal matters, love drawing, protection, asserting dominance, and aid in various long-ongoing workings.
Tumblr media
A Purification & Path Clearing Working
Working The Oil Lamp:
Personally, I prefer using oil lamps for my own personal work instead of candles. One of the main reasons is that there is less mess and the ability to adjust the flame during my working to my liking. Another added benefit is that technically the lamp never has to be extinguished... However, in our busy modern lives, it's not always feasible to constantly monitor a burning source like fire. It is important to prioritize safety and practicality rather than adhering to tradition or the idea that the lamp can never be extinguished until completed. No working is worth the cost of losing your home or space!!!
When preparing your oil lamp, it is necessary to prepare it properly. This involves blessing and dressing the lamp. I always make sure to clean my lamps with either Florida Water, Moon Water, Smoke, Sound, Prayers, or Chants beforehand. Once the lamp is thoroughly cleansed and blessed, the work can begin.
Important note: Beforehand you might want to ensure that the ingredients that you plan to use in the lamp can be easily removed from the basin after the work is completed. It is important to keep in mind not to overload your lamp with herbs, as this can affect the flow of the flame and the absorption of the oil.
Personal Tip: I have found it best to work in intervals of 3, 6, or 9, as these numbers hold significant spiritual meaning. Additionally, in my personal opinion the use of more than 9 different herbs in lamp magick, is overkill... but do whatever makes you happy! Don't forget to make sure you have blessed and charged those herbs with your energy and intention before loading them in your lamp. And on the note of lamp oil, I use paraffin since it is smokeless and odorless. For added potency, you can bless and charge your lamp oil beforehand by setting it out under any moon phase, deity, patron, chants, prayers, or harnessing your breath with intention and blowing into the oil.
Now, before loading the basin with herbs, you might want to have a petition ready. Some practitioners choose to pin their petition to the part of the wick directly under the screw top, but this may not be the best option for everyone. An alternative method is to place the lamp directly on top of your petition. Another technique among practitioners is creating a sigil and drawing it onto the glass of the lamp with a Sharpie. Once the working is completed, the sigil can easily be washed off, and the lamp can be cleared and cleansed for future workings. Also before burning, make sure you have let your wick soaked at least an hour before burning.
Once all the pieces are put together and you're ready to light the wick, you can begin by either grasping the lamp and rubbing the basin or placing your hands around it while reciting chants, focusing your energy, and bestowing blessings. Continue this practice for as long as you feel necessary before lighting the lamp. It is important to keep the lamp in a safe location for an extended time, but be sure to follow proper fire safety precautions. To avoid the risk of the glass breaking, start the flame on a low setting until the glass has warmed up. Don't leave the lamp unattended or on a high flame. If you need to extinguish the flame, you can always restart the lamp using your own energy, intentions, chants, or prayers like you did at the start of the working. Personally, I keep the lamp burning until the oil is depleted and my intended goal is achieved, but you can also trust your intuition or seek guidance from divination methods.
In conclusion, the oil lamp is a versatile and potent tool in Folk Magick. When used correctly and with proper intention, it can bring forth powerful results in long workings. Just remember to burn safely, and always prepare your lamp with a clear intention. Happy casting!

hey @rateater2000 remember when you wanted an info dump about poison
i n h a l e s
TTX, or Tetrodotoxin, is the chemical compound found in pufferfish, blue-ringed octopi, some newts, and a few other venomous species. It’s famous for being the cause of the blue-ringed octopus’s fatal bite, and the deadly weapon behind the pufferfish’s spines. Bring a neurotoxin, it targets the nervous system, including your brain. TTX poisoning tends to cause numbness, tingling, and paralysis as it shuts down your brain’s ability to send signals to your body. The fatality comes from the substance’s tendency to paralyze the diaphragm, which is what gives you the ability to breathe, or by paralyzing the muscles in your heart, which prevents your blood from circulating. The paralyzing effect is caused by Tetrodotoxin’s ability to block and inhibit sodium pumps, which stops the electrical signals in your nerves, resulting in your body becoming numb and your vital muscles slowing or stopping altogether. TTX is very potent, with the lethal dose being 1-2 grams and the dose needed to cause symptoms being .2 grams. This makes it 1200 times more deadly than cyanide, and due to the fact that there’s no known cure, the only option is to wait out the effects, which can take up to 24 hours. Recovering from TTX poisoning takes days or weeks, but if you survive the acute symptoms, you’ll probably recover. Due to it’s potency, pufferfish can die from using it defensively. Fortunately, pufferfish and newts don’t tend to attack randomly, and give warning signs. But because of curious humans, blue-ringed octopi are often disturbed or picked up because of their bright coloring. Their bite is nearly painless, but the dose in their bodies is high enough to kill 26 adult humans within hours. Do not pick up random sea creatures.
TLDR: TTX is a very deadly toxin, found in sea critters, so don’t go angering them or you could die of paralysis.
if you like this I do it with anthrax next deal?

Muha Meds Carts: The Real Deal in Premium Vape Experiences
Tumblr media
If you’ve been in the vape scene for a while, you’ve likely come across Muha Meds Carts. Known for their eye-catching packaging and bold flavor profiles, Muha Meds has built a name for itself in the cannabis community. But what’s the real deal behind the hype? Are Muha Meds Carts worth your time (and money)? Let's dive in and explore everything you need to know before your next puff.
What Are Muha Meds Carts?
Muha Meds Carts are premium cannabis oil vape cartridges that offer a strong, flavorful, and often potent vaping experience. They’re filled with high-quality THC oil and are designed for use with standard 510-thread vape batteries, making them compatible and easy to use for most vape enthusiasts.
With their sleek design and vibrant branding, Muha Meds Carts are instantly recognizable. But it’s not just about looks—the performance matches the packaging.
Why Muha Meds Carts Stand Out
There’s no shortage of vape carts on the market, so what makes Muha Meds Carts different?
1. Top-Tier Oil Quality
Muha Meds uses lab-tested cannabis oil to ensure each cartridge meets high standards. The oil is often extracted using a CO2 method, preserving terpenes and cannabinoids for a clean, potent hit.
2. Flavor That Pops
Whether you're into fruity blends, classic OG strains, or dessert-inspired flavors, Muha Meds has something for every palate. Popular choices include Blueberry Kush, Apple Jack, and Wedding Cake.
3. Potency That Packs a Punch
Looking for that strong THC hit? Many users report a potent high that kicks in fast and lasts for hours. Muha Meds Carts usually test in the 85–95% THC range, making them one of the more powerful options on the market.
4. Sleek, Secure Packaging
Each cart comes in a tamper-proof, hologram-sealed box with a scannable QR code so you can verify its authenticity. In a world full of knock-offs, this feature is a game-changer.
Common Strains and Flavors
Here are a few favorites among the Muha Meds Carts lineup:
Strawberry Shortcake – Sweet and dessert-like with a relaxing effect.
Skywalker OG – Earthy, heavy-hitting, and perfect for winding down.
Zkittlez – Bursting with fruity flavor and a mellow vibe.
Banana OG – Smooth, tropical, and ideal for calming anxiety.
Maui Wowie – A sativa classic with pineapple notes and uplifting energy.
How to Spot Fake Muha Meds Carts
Counterfeits are a big issue in the vape world, and unfortunately, Muha Meds Carts are often targeted due to their popularity. Here are some quick tips to make sure you’re getting the real deal:
Check the QR Code: Real Muha Meds packaging includes a QR code you can scan to confirm authenticity via their official website.
Examine the Oil: Real oil is thick, golden-amber in color, and doesn’t move easily when the cart is turned upside down.
Know Your Source: Only purchase from licensed dispensaries or trusted vendors.
Watch for Typos and Poor Packaging: Misspellings or blurry labels are red flags.
Are Muha Meds Carts Legal?
This depends on where you live. In states where cannabis is recreationally or medically legal, Muha Meds Carts are available at licensed dispensaries. Always check your local laws before purchasing.
That said, Muha Meds has faced scrutiny in the past for operating in legal gray areas. They’ve since made efforts to legitimize their brand, ensuring their products meet strict quality and safety standards. As always, when dealing with cannabis products, it’s important to be an informed consumer.
User Reviews: What Are People Saying?
Across online forums, Reddit threads, and review sites, the buzz around Muha Meds Carts is mostly positive.
Pros:
Fast-acting and strong THC high
Great flavor variety
High-quality oil
Smooth pulls with little to no clogging
Cons:
Higher price point than generic carts
Risk of counterfeit products in the black market
Availability can be limited depending on location
One Reddit user wrote, “I’ve tried a lot of carts, but Muha Meds hits different. I felt it in like two pulls. Apple Jack is my go-to now.”
Best Practices for Using Muha Meds Carts
To get the best experience with your Muha Meds Cart, follow these quick tips:
Store Upright: Keep your cart upright to prevent leaks and clogging.
Low Voltage is Better: Start at a low voltage setting (2.5–3.0V) for smooth hits and better flavor.
Keep It Clean: Occasionally wipe the contact area with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol to maintain connectivity.
Don’t Overuse: THC tolerance builds fast. Pace yourself to avoid diminishing effects.
Where to Buy Muha Meds Carts
Always buy from reputable sources. If you're in a legal state, look for licensed dispensaries. You can also check the Muha Meds official website for a list of authorized retailers or use their verification tool before buying from a new vendor.
Never buy from sketchy online sellers, social media ads, or street vendors—there’s a high chance you’ll end up with a fake.
Final Thoughts: Are Muha Meds Carts Worth It?
If you're after a high-quality vape cart that delivers strong effects, a smooth hit, and bold flavor, Muha Meds Carts are definitely worth considering. They combine premium oil, stylish packaging, and a wide variety of flavors to suit every preference.
Just be cautious of counterfeit products, always check authenticity, and ensure you're buying from trusted vendors. When used responsibly, Muha Meds Carts offer one of the best THC vaping experiences available in today’s market.

Pandora's Gift Ch. 46
Warning: this story will contain mature content such as but not limited to sex, cursing, blood, violence, breeding kink, A/B/O themes ect.
Word count: 3116
Last Chapter
The next couple of days followed any other normal day. Patrols were boring, Sakaki hated sticking to normal routes. She was not one who enjoyed being put on for show to the people. Fan service was not her strong suit. She did not enjoy people, she did not enjoy them watching her or bothering her. There was a reason she was an unranked hero, and why she had no desire to be one. But being out with Bakugou on patrols for the public to watch and follow along was no fun. It was impossible to be invisible when she was standing among a high ranked hero and one the public loved, even if she could not understand why.
But civilians were not the only ones to notice, those in the shadows had as well. That was annoying, Sakaki used her element of surprise to her advantage. She was not physically strong like a lot of hero’s. But she was stronger than she looked, which often helped a lot in fights. Her quirk being able to incapacitate others was her other strength. But that had a lot of drawbacks too. And was the primary reason she liked to work alone. The gasses she could produce were not controllable once released. She could affect friend and foe alike. And the fact her own gasses made her drunk meant she had to keep her mask on herself or risk the consequences.
“You should have a gas mask on you when we work together,” Sakaki said randomly one day as the two of them were walking back to the agency after having taken down some criminal who had tried to rob a subway train. Sakaki had refused to use her own quirk while Bakugou was around and she found it annoying.
“Huh? Why the fuck would I do that?” The blonde had barked out.
“Because I can not use my quirk around you without risk of it affecting you,” she pointed out as if it was common sense and the blonde was a moron.
“So what? You don’t have to worry about it,” the blonde said back. Of course Bakugou would act as if he was completely impenetrable.
“Dumb ass you can not do anything about an invisible gas. You can not just blow my quirk away with an explosion. And prolonged exposure will be dangerous. My gasses are poisonous after all,” she said simply. Though she wasn’t sure if that information actually went through the blondes thick head and that he was able to comprehend it.
“What do you mean prolonged exposure is dangerous?” He asked as he looked over at her as if she was a moron.
“It’s as I said. My poisonous gasses will cause issues if you are exposed to it too much. I'm not completely immune either so I can’t just keep giving you my mask either,” she said simply.
“What do you mean poisonous gas? Isn’t your quirk just similar to Midnights had been?” The look on Bakugou’s face was either confusion or constipation. She was going to assume confusion.
“No. There’s actually a lot of difference between what her quirk was and what mine is. To help with that memory of yours my quirk is called toxic aeration. The gas my body creates is always poisonous. It’s just that I can slightly alter the potency of the poison. That is what makes the difference between the gas killing someone or not. Think of it similar to carbon monoxide. The gas affects the blood’s ability to carry oxygen to the brain and the person passes out. If I turn it up too high I can actually suffocate the person inhaling the poison,” she explained a little bit better for Bakugou since he apparently could not remember how her quirk worked from their time in UA. Then again she wasn’t exactly sure Bakugou could remember the two of them had been in the same class.
“Huh? I never knew it was poisonous. How the hell do you use your quirk around others?” He asked.
“I try not to. It’s why Mirko allowed me to work alone. Those who work with me need a mask like my own. Though I do have pheromone blocking as an added option to help ensure alpha criminals can not try to boss me around,” or send her into heat if things were unlucky for her. But she was not going to voice that part out loud.
“Well that’s annoying,” Bakugou growled softly. Which had Sakaki chewing on the inside of her cheek. She knew all too well it was annoying, she had heard it all her life. Classmates paired up with her, sidekicks from every agency she has ever worked at. It was one of the bigger drawbacks of her quirk. Anyone working with her really needed to be equipped with a mask that would protect them from her gas. Like Bakugou, few wanted to do that all the time.
“Yep. But nothing I can do about it unless you will let me patrol alone,” she said simply with a shrug of her shoulders and trying to act as if his words did not bother her.
She watched as Bakugou scrunched up his nose as if he smelled something bad. It seemed he did not like that request. And he didn’t. The thought of letting her walk around the streets alone looking for villains did not sit well with him. The urge to keep her close, to keep her beside him would prevent him from being able to just let her work alone. Or honestly with anyone other than Kirishima. But that was not something Bakugou wanted to think about nor try to understand.
So instead Bakugou ground his teeth and kept his mouth shut as even he knew opening his mouth would probably result in him saying something that would offend or piss her off. Keeping his mouth shut was best for them both. Though his lack of a reply still irritated her, and he could see the irritation on her face as her lips pressed into a firm line and he may have seen an eye twitch. And yet Sakaki managed to also bite her tongue as well. Neither of them wished to start arguing in front of civilians on the streets as the two made their way back to the agency. At least the two of them could keep their tempers in check till they were away from anyone who could pull out a cell phone with a camera and cause them issues.
The tension between the two could almost be cut with a knife by the time the two of the hero’s walked into the agency. Silently they both made their way towards Bakugou and Kirishima’s office. Sakaki’s face lit up when she spotted the redhead sitting at his desk when the two walked in. Usually he was not yet in when the two got back from patrol.
“Hey Ei,” Sakaki called out in a warm greeting as she waved at the man as his head picked up to look at them.
“Hey Bakubro, Sakaki, how was patrol?” he asked with an arched brow as he took in their dirty and disheveled appearance.
“Some dumb ass extra decided to hold up a train and rob the dumb extras riding it,” Bakugou grumbled as he made his way over to his own desk to take a seat and start at his own paperwork. He may have a damage report to write after their morning battle.
“Ah but I am sure you two dealt with the villain,” Kirishima was praising the blonde with his tone. And as expected Bakugou clearly enjoyed it as he stuck his chest out a little. Kind of reminded her of a gloating little dog with a fresh bone.
“Fuckin course I did,” Sakaki could not help but roll her eyes as Bakugou took all the glory for the take down although she had been a rather good help. After all, it wasn't like Bakugou could fire off any sort of explosion in a tight train cart with civilians all around. Their hand to hand combat has been what saved the day.
But Sakaki knew better than to try and correct the blonde. That would only rekindle their earlier irritation and they would surely start a real fight she was not careful. So instead she walked over to Kirishima’s desk and sat herself down on the edge of the desk on the opposite side of Kirishima.
She kept her mouth shut as she sat there and just listened to Kirishima stroking Bakugou’s ego. The red head really knew what to say to make the blonde happy. Then again that was something Kirishima had always seemed good at and not even just with Bakugou. She used to think he just kissed people's asses. But it’s honestly just part of that sunshine personality, he wanted to people please. And if praising them an ungodly amount was the way then he would do it. Though she was sure Bakugou’s ego did not need that kind of consistent praise.
Listening to the two friends talk she could not help but reach up and fiddle with the top of her skin tight uniform. It sat snug along the bottom of her neck. And today it felt annoying. Scratchy and itchy on her skin. Even though it was the same uniform, same material, same everything that she had been wearing for years. Yet today it was slightly annoying. And apparently her fidgeting had not gone unnoticed.
“Is something wrong Sakaki?” It had been Kirishima who noticed and voiced his concern first.
“Nothin. Just wondering if I washed this suit in some different laundry detergent. It’s been bothering me the last few days,” she admits as she tugs at the collar a little on her top. The material felt itchy and uncomfortable against her skin. The normally soft material was making her skin feel raw and like she had been wearing a suit made out of sand paper and not her normal soft, stretchy, and breathable hero costume.
Her focus was on her uncomfortable suit and not on the look the two men shared as they looked at each other before looking back at her. Both men seemed to be sharing a similar concern.
“Hey Sakaki wouldn’t that be like a typical sign of an omega going into heat? Even though you did that just a few weeks ago?” Kirishima was careful as he voiced the thoughts that both men had.
“Typically yes. But there should be other signs as well. A higher temperature will always be present as well especially after a few days like this. More so it’s my body wanting to enter another heat but it's too early. My new suppressants usually help with these minor issues. But I am not usually around so many alphas all day everyday and it messes with me a little. But it's fine, don't worry about it. I may just need to use another type of costume I have for these kinds of days,” She said simply not at all as worried as both men even as she found herself itching at her neck lightly.
“Your suppressants from high school really messed with your body that badly?” Kirishima asked with a still look of concern on his face.
“Yeah. I never listened to the doc’s. I went all three years at UA with only one heat while I was a student. Omega suppressants are not meant to be used for such a long time. The side effects are now pretty permanent. I have to use very specific suppressants now and even then they are a much lower dose than I would like and as such they do stop working after a while,” She admits as a slight blush dusts her cheeks. It felt a little odd talking about such personal things with the two men. But their curiosity seemed genuine or at least Kirishima’s curiosity was genuine. Bakugou on the other hand she was not sure about as she glanced over at him and was a little unsure of what he was thinking as he attempted to look like he was working and not silently listening in. That is till his eyes glanced up and met her gaze which just earned her a snort from the man.
“Why not just get off the suppressants all together?” Bakugou asked before he looked down at the paperwork he was filling out about the damage he had done that morning during the battle with the extra trying to rob the train.
“I could but my body does not know how to exactly be an omega any more. My cycles are already incredibly inconsistent, being left to itself my body may go haywire,” She admits as she softly swings her legs off the edge of Kirishima’s desk.
“Well you have been itching all week you better do something about that,” Bakugou grumbled. After all it was him who had to watch and deal with her scratching all patrol long.
“Would getting a bonded mate help?” Kirishima seemed hesitant as he asked his question. And he had a reason to. He could see Sakaki’s shoulders tense, her metaphoric hackles raising at the question.
“It could. There's still no guarantee but there is a chance I would then sync up with the alpha. But I have no desire to bond to anyone any time soon. I am a hero not a broodmare after all,” She said, unable to look over at either man. Instead she looked around the room, not enjoying the quickly growing tension in the air. Instead she looked over at the clock and noticed the time.
“Hey Kirishima, you're late for your patrol. Your sidekick has probably been waiting for you,” She quickly said as she noticed the time on the clock that hung on the wall. She could hear Kirishima curse softly to himself. Looking back at him she giggled softly as she watched the large man start to scramble. At least he was in his hero costume already but his shoulder pads were sitting on the floor by his desk. Jumping to his feet he was scrambling to slide the large gear like pads up his arms.
“Sorry guys. I am so late,” Kirishima whined before he was waving and rushing out of the room without saying much more to them. Or maybe he was but it was a jumbled mess of mumbles and Sakaki could not make anything out as Kirishima ran from the room. Though it only took a few seconds of Kirishima being gone and she already missed his presence in the heavily quiet room.
“Why do you hate alpha’s?” The question was not as rough as she would have expected. But the fact he asked it still caught her off guard.
“Huh I don’t hate alpha’s,” She said as she gaped at him. Did he really think she hated alpha’s? She did not think she did. Sure she found them annoying. Most were assholes in her eyes. They loved to use their powers to bully others, especially omega’s who were often unable to resist a strong alpha’s words or pheromones.
“Of course you fucking do. You're nothing but a bitch whenever you have to deal with one,” Bakugou yells at her his own short temper getting the best of him.
“I ain’t a bitch. I just won’t roll over and submit. Maybe you alpha’s should learn some decent manners and not be assholes,” She growled at him with her own top lip curling back to show off her small fangs. Okay maybe in some ways she could see how her quick aggression could be seen as hating alpha’s. With that Bakugou was quick to jump to his feet.
“I am not an asshole,” Apparently her general use of the word alpha went over the blonde's head and he took it as her calling him personally an asshole. Bakugou knew he could be an asshole, and he had been one when he was a kid. But he had worked hard to become as decent of a person as he was.
The ever so slight lingering of sugar or caramel on her tongue from his scent was quickly turning sour. The usually soft caramel undertone was burned, it had her nose scrunching up at the reek. Her mouth closed as much as possible to keep the stench and burnt taste of shit off her tongue.
“Oh yeah? You walk around like your king shit of turd island. Like we should all bow down to you. Sorry to burst your bubble Katsuki but you are an asshole,” she growled at him even as he closed the distance between her to lear over her with a deep snarl rumbling his chest. Her own scent smells like rotting strawberries. Had she not been so emotional and upset she would have felt bad for everyone in the agency that would probably be stuck smelling their fight for hours after.
Bakugou was trying so very hard to not just snap at the woman before him. He tried to remember the breathing exercises he had learned as a teen when he saw a therapist. But fuck it was very hard for him to not just explode. His jaw hurt by how hard he was clenching it. His teeth were starting to creek under the pressure. Without another word he turned away from the dark haired woman. He silently stomped out of the room. The door to the office nearly ripped off the hinges when he wrenched the door open. The fact it remained in one piece was surprising.
Sakaki would never of thought she would see the day that Bakugou Katsuki actually walked away from a fight. Had she maybe over stepped? A small bit of guilt chewed at the back of her mind. But her still fuming temper did not allow her to just drop the attitude and anger. Instead she was pissed he just walked away from her. Once she calmed down she would better understand why he did that and be thankful. She was just looking for a fight now in her current state.
Jumping off the desk she was growling softly to herself. Her temper not yet calming down. Unlike Bakugou she did not head towards the gym to blow off steam. Instead she headed towards the locker rooms. Her skin was crawling. She needed a shower and to get into different clothes before she started to itch her skin off of her own body. Then she would return and work on paperwork in peace till her work day came to an end.
