Matchup for Homestuck? I love making jokes and being silly. I'm also told I'm supportive and very sweet. I'm a bit hotheaded - I do tend to get easily frustrated. I want things to be as smooth and easy as possible and things aren't that: I get argumentative and I debate. I like animals, art, writing, astrology, musicals. I struggle with being sad and isolating myself. I tend to work myself until I'm so stressed that I can no longer function.

   He could definitely use someone supportive, and that someone is you. He loves how caring and sweet you can be, but still have a fire in you to stand up for things you don’t think is right.

   Speaking of which, he low-key thinks your hot-headedness can be hot sometimes, as long as it doesn’t go too far...He’ll always help you calm down though….please....please do the same for him. Everyone’s lives are at stake if you don’t.

   You are about the only person who can calm him down when he goes sober, so FEEL SPECIAL, HUMAN. (*cough cough* Zim, get out of here *cough*)

    He’ll try art. He’ll try it for you, but it will either go two ways, either he won’t care for it much or he’ll love it and start trying to paint with faygo or something. SO, be careful.

   He’ll feel lonely and start to get upset if you isolate yourself. He’ll blame himself so you need to explain to this really tall puppy that it wasn’t him, or if it was, tell him what he did wrong. He will not leave you alone unless you seriously flat out tell him you NEED to be left alone, he just loves you that much.

You look up from your work and stared at your phone in wonder. Who in the right mind would be texting you during this hour?

Bzzzt. Bzzzt.

With a defeated sigh, you stand up from your desk and grab the phone from your nightstand, plopping down on your bed. You turn it on and open Pesterchum, smiling once you saw the username.

TT: Hello, [Name]. TT: Are you there? I hope I’m not bothering you. CH: Hey Rose! TT: There you are. TT: I was wondering. CH: Yeah? What’s up? TT: Do you happen to harbor feelings for Karkat? CH: Uh.. What? CH: Rose.. I’ve only known him for a day.. No, even less than that. Maybe an hour at most. TT: Yes, but according to my studies, a person is able to gain feelings for someone they have just met. You throw the phone in a corner somewhere in your room and huff. Why can’t Rose and Jade see that you were doing fine without some man in your life?

Frustrated, you sat back down in your desk and tried to get back to work. However, the topic of your conversation with Rose sprang back into your mind, causing you to slam your head onto the desk.

‘Damnit all!’ _._

‘It’s cold…’ With an impatient sigh, you bury your nose into the knitted scarf wrapped around your neck to try and shield your face from the harsh wind. ‘Rose, where are you?’

Bzzzt. Bzzzt.

The vibration of your phone alerts you about a new text message, causing another sigh to escape your lips as you pull a hand from its glove to reach for your phone. Pulling it out, you turn it on, only to frown at the message.

TT: Sorry, [Name]. It seems I can’t make it today. I’ve been called to work at last minute due to one of the others calling sick. TT: Very sorry. Don’t worry though, I’ve already told the café that anything you buy will be covered by me. Have a great time.

A growl erupts from your throat accidentally, which scares a few passersby, but you could hardly care right now.

‘This was their plan wasn’t it? And I fell right into the trap! Well.. At least everything I buy will be covered by Rose.. Maybe I can see if anyone else is available… But first I should get out of the cold.’

You push open the door, causing a chime to ring out, alerting the workers of a new customer. Walking to the nearest booth, you sit down and set your bag beside you, pulling your hands from your gloves and tucking them into the pockets of your coat.

After you got settled in, you pull out your phone and sent a few messages to your friends, asking if any of them are available to hang out with you.

Bzzzt.

TG: cant sorry TG: im working on a painting TG: gotta have it finished for art class tomorrow CH: It’s fine. Thanks though. TG: yup

Bzzzt.

GG: sorry, [name]! GG: i cant right now GG: jake is taking me to the store to shop for groceries GG: have fun at your date though!!! ;D CH: Honestly, you two. CH: And it’s not a date since he doesn’t even know my name! GG: whatever you say [name]!!

EB: gee, i’d love to, [name], but i can’t. EB: jane and i are baking some pastries and then we’re having a movie marathon with my dad. EB: i just hope we don’t use betty crocker. CH: I doubt it. EB: yeah, you’re right. kinda hard not to use betty crocker when we’re the heirs of the company. EB: i still don’t like the products though. jane can just do all the work, after all, she’s the one who likes to bake. EB: well, see ya! CH: Bye, John. Thanks anyways.

Ok. So no one is available right now. Well, you suppose you can just get a bite then head back home.

“Hey, you. What do you want?” You look to the side and see Karkat standing next to your table with an adorable frown on his face, causing you to break into a smile.

‘Maybe I’ll try and enjoy myself.’

“I’ll take two hot chocolates and my server to keep me company.”

Karkat’s face melted from its frown and instead, turned to a look of surprise, “I’m sorry, what?”

“I said, I’ll take-“

“No, no... The last part… What did you say?”

“Well, I was wondering if you’d like to sit down, take a break from your work and have a cup of hot chocolate with me. It’s fine if you don’t want to and if that’s the case, I’ll just take one cup.”

“I.. Alright, fine. I’ll go and keep your lonely ass company. I’ll be right back with your order.” He turns and you swore you saw a red blush pasted on his cheeks, which causes you to laugh quietly.

‘This isn’t so bad.'

   Your matesprit would most likely be Karkat. He understands you like you understand him, getting angry easily, sarcastic with people, all of it. Not to mention, he’s a short bean and you’re 5′8″. Thank you for that image...thank you XD. 

   If you’re clumsy he’ll probably call you an idiot a few times, telling you to watch where you’re going, typical tsundere stuff, but he’ll always try and catch you if you’re in a close proximity to him. He doesn’t want you to get hurt, even if he thinks you can be a bit of an idiot. 

   He’ll be gentler and soft if you’re anxiety ever gets bad. He understands what it’s like to have an anxiety attack, and he’ll try his best to calm you or help you relax a bit, letting you know that he loves you.

   He won’t admit it but he admires how protective you can be of others, it’s something that he might try with you even though he’s really not all that protective, he trusts you even if you don’t fully trust him. 

   When you are in a social and happy mood, you and him can go hang out with some of his friends, have a little get together, maybe even a small party if you will, although he’ll be kind of a grump the whole time. 

   He usually likes rom-coms but he doesn’t mind watching mystery shows with you, in fact he likes them. Video game dates as well, just so you know. Also...he can get pretty competitive if you let him.

    Once you get comfortable around him and start to be more chilled out and relaxed, you two will start spending a lot more time together and it will eventually lead into a very slow paced, sweet relationship. 

   He understands frustration and will try and calm you down when you get upset or feel like crying, and please don’t take anything out on him (NOT SAYING YOU WOULD OF COURSE) but he’s trying his best. He wants you happy, because when you’re happy, he can be happy.

  For Eddsworld we decided to pair you with Edd, himself! 

  The first thing to draw him in was how bright and friendly you seemed, much like him, so he decided to start up a conversation and it gradually went on from there. 

   The looks are one thing too. You two would look so cute together, there are head cannons for him to be around 6′ or so, so you being 5′4″ would be adorable next o him. Not to mention, we honestly think that his green hoodie and brown hair would look good next to your olive skin and short brown hair. 

    He would love to playfully dance with you, even if you aren’t that good at it (Doxy pretends she is, don’t worry XD) That or he would love for you to sing for him, whether you’re good at that or not as well. He believes that it doesn’t really matter if you’re particularly ‘good’ at something, rather if you enjoy it. 

   Lots of random conversations...For instance, it could start with, “Did you see the space costume I made for Ringo?” and end with, “Yes, I do think bacon is the best breakfast, why wouldn’t it be?” It’s just so random and out there, and you two always end up on a COMPLETELY different topic, but he likes that. 

   Reading? Perfect time for him to draw...It really is. He is such a loving person and will always do his best to help with your anxiety, he loves you and he wants you to be happy.

   John was the first person we could think of for you. You both are friendly and seem like dorks. (Just realized that you might be offended with that, so just to be clear we mean that in the best possible way, we’re dorks as well, but just in case it does upset you WE ARE SO SORRY ANON!) 

   Like Edd, John will dance with you any time, unless he’s trying to save the world then he’ll only stop every so often for a ten minute break of course. Actually, he’ll make you seem like a better dancer when you see how ‘good’ his dance moves are. (We head cannon that he sucks at it...)

   He’ll sing with you as well. Ever try singing while you’re dancing to a very upbeat song? It’s freaking hard but he’ll do it anyways to get you to laugh and his adorkableness. 

   Oh my god, he loves your laugh. LOVES IT. When he hears it he just melts and can’t help but grin so much that his face will start to hurt. 

   Cuddles....cuddles....and more cuddles. He’s a cuddle monster, what can we say? The boy’s a softy.

Title: Cafes and Hot Chocolates (1/2) Pairing: Human!KarkatxReader Fandom: Homestuck Rating: PG-13 Length: 1506 words

Your [Eye color] eyes scan the crowd in front of you for your friend, spotting him in just a few seconds due to his company’s unusual eyewear. Smiling, you jog up to the two boys, calling out to them,

“John! Dave! There you are! I’ve been trying to hunt you down in this crowd for a while. Have you two spotted Jade and Rose yet? They texted me earlier, saying that they’ll meet us in front of the coffee shop, but I don’t see them anywhere.”

Dave shakes his head and shrugs, “Haven’t seen them yet. Knowing my sister, she probably dragged Jade to a book store or someplace and completely forgot about us.”

“I’ll have you know that the bookstore’s alluring smell of fresh parchment and ink has not tempted me in any way as we made our way here. However, I’m not so sure if I’ll be able to resist the temptation on our way back.” A voice spoke up from behind you, causing you to turn and smile as your eyes met violet irises.

You gave Rose a quick hug then turned to face Jade to do the same. She grinned widely and hugged you back, pulling away after a few seconds to go and greet the two boys.

Rose tugs on the purple scarf that was wound up on her neck and started towards the café door, all the while calling to the four of you, “Let’s head inside. It’s quite cold out here and I’m sure we’ll all be better off if we came inside instead of standing in front of a shop.”

With lips turned upwards, the four of you follow her inside and head into a booth, chatting as you waited for your server. A loud cough brought your attention to the man standing in front of your table. He noticed you looking at him and he nodded to you, passing you a menu then passing the rest to your friends.

“What would you five like to order?”

John bit his lip from across you, furrowing his eyebrows at the man, “Have I seen you before? You look so familiar.. but I can’t put a name to your face.”

“Well gee, thanks, glad to know my face needs a name when clearly I have a nametag which states my name that was given to me nineteen years ago on my birthday. But no, as far as I know, I haven’t met you.”

“Huh.. Sorry then.. uh..” John’s eyes quickly glances at the boy’s nametag, “Karkat… I guess I’ll take a hot chocolate with some cinnamon.”

“I’ll have the same as well, but I’ll have a croissant to accompany it.” Rose says and passes the menu to Karkat who nods and writes down the orders, while accepting the menus. He turns to you and you smile, closing your menu and offering it to him, while placing your order,

“I’ll have a medium latte and a piece of chocolate cake.” Karkat nods and scribbles down your order before turning to the last two people in your booth that haven’t ordered yet.

“I’ll take a small cappuccino and also a piece of chocolate cake!” Jade smiles widely, passing the menu to you and you place it on top of the pile.

“And I’ll just take a hot chocolate with whip cream on top.” Dave says and puts the menu on top of the stack that Karkat gathered. Karkat nods and grabs the stack of menus, dropping it off at a table near the kitchen entrance before heading inside to make your group’s order.

Comfortable silence surrounds your booth as Dave and Rose tinkered with their phones with John looking over Dave’s shoulder to watch the blonde’s movements.

Beside you, Jade swings her legs back and forth before smiling and nudging your arm, “He was cute wasn’t he?”

You give her a puzzled stare before nodding slowly, “I suppose he was. Why?”

“Oh, I don’t know… Just wondering if a certain someone is interested in him.”

“Jade, you know that I won’t be able to balance a boyfriend with university and work. Besides, I barely know him and this will probably be the last time I see him.”

“Oh, honestly, [Name]. I think that having a partner in your life will do you some good and help you be less stressed out,” The brunette gives a toothy smile and looks towards the café’s kitchen, “But I guess we’ll see about that later, [Name].”

You follow her line of sight and sigh. Karkat was making his way towards you along with a girl with long blonde hair, dark blue eyes and glasses. She placed the trays she held on the table, before grinning and tapping John’s shoulder.

John turns and his smile widens at the presence of the blonde girl, “Vriska! I didn���t know you worked here!”

Laughing, Vriska ruffles the boy’s already messy hair, “There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me, John. Just like how I don’t know a lot about you.”

“Oh right! Everyone, this is Vriska Serket. She’s in one of my classes and she’s one of my friends. She lives in the Sgrub dorm building with her roommate, Terezi Pyrope. I think she’s in one of your classes, Dave.”

Dave looks up from his electronic device and nods, “Blind girl with short, red hair, wearing red glasses? Yeah, she’s in my Art class. Pretty good, even though she can’t see.”

The boy beside Vriska shifts his weight into his other foot and sighs, “Vriska, mind moving over? I’m still holding their orders on my tray and I’m pretty sure they’d like to have their food and drinks while they’re hot.”

Vriska shuffles over and Karkat sets the trays on the table, passing its contents to their owner. When he gets to your orders, you reach for your drink to try and save him some time, but your hands collide with his and he mutters a curse under his breathe when his hand knocks the cup slightly, causing it to spill some of its contents onto the tray.

You apologize and decide to just let him give you your food instead of getting in his way by trying to take them yourself. He sets your food in front of you and leaves, leaving Vriska to take care of the rest of the food.

The girl chuckles and hands out the food to its respective owners while making small talk with John. She cracks a joke that you didn’t catch which causes the whole table to laugh, however you don’t notice it since you were too busy admiring your male server.

Jade notices and nudges you again, causing you to yelp which gathers the attention of the people around you. You try and suppress an embarrassed blush, while apologizing quietly, hoping that the attention will soon be taken off of you.

Thankfully, most of the people lost interest in your actions and started to talk again, all except Vriska and Jade who were both giving you a knowing smile with a raised eyebrow.

You avoid looking at their faces and instead busied yourself with eating your cake, though you can still feel their gazes boring into your head.

“I’m telling you, Rose! [Name] has a crush on the server!” Jade turned and started walking backwards while keeping her eyes trained on the blonde girl, “Did you see the way she looked at him? Pure love! Or maybe, infatuation? Not sure! Definitely one of those, though!”

Rose shook her head, pushing the brunette away from the street sign she was bound to hit, while burying her face into her warm scarf, “Jade, I’m sure you were just seeing things. [Name] did not look as if she had a crush on the server, and if she did, its not any of our business on what she does with her life.”

“Still, I’m just saying that maybe we can help them get together! Too bad we don’t know anyone who’s friends with Karkat. Even that girl that John is friends with, Vriska, didn’t seem close to him. Oh pooey, I was hoping I’d get to finally help her get a boyfriend.”

“That, my dear Jade, is where you are wrong.”

“Huh?”

Rose smiles fondly as she speaks, “My girlfriend, Kanaya, she’s friends with that boy. I’ve seen him around her a few times. She likes to take care of him like he’s her own son.”

“That’s great then!” Jade turned back the right way and started to skip happily, “It’ll make getting them together so much easier!”

“I don’t know Jade.. Meddling does not seem like such a good idea.”

“But you’re Rose! Meddling is what you do!”

“You’re right, you’re right. Alright, I’ll help. We can formulate a plan with Kanaya later, but for now, how about we go into that bookshop we passed earlier? I’ve been meaning to buy some new books.”

“Great! Let’s go!” And with a tug of her hand, the ecstatic girl led Rose into the bookshop.
