Saw it was make a terrible comic day today (June 24 2025) so meet my cats
#makeaterriblecomicday2025#my art#comic#comics#cat comic#it is indeed a terrible comic#but I recently adopted these two after fostering 4 cats and missing having cats of my own#I love them both very much#They're still adjusting to the house and finding who their person is#especially Lucida Sans#But that's ok i know she had a tough start#She and Tammy came to the shelter pregnant#And from Lucida's body it seems like she had been pregnant many times#but now she doesn't have to be a mommy cat anymore#she just learned how to play and have fun!#it took her 2 weeks to learn how to play by watching Tammy play#Meanwhile Tammy has a kitten mindset#she still suckles on Lucida#the only time Tammy purrs is when she's suckling#that is#until she started recently purring when I pet her and carry her around#She is so sweet and funny#but she also jumps on my railing that overlooks the basement stairs down and its a steep fall#and I don't know how to stop her and I live in fear one day she'll slip and fall down

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

#peach rambles#hall of fame i guess#anyway if you don’t know what to say in the former case#just say ‘aw that’s nice!/that’s cool!’ or ask a follow-up question. like ‘how often does [good thing] happen?’#people love being asked questions about themselves esp when they’re happy!#and if you don’t know what to say in the latter situation a simple ‘aw that sucks… ouch… i’m sorry’ or anything to that effect#’but that feels so fake and empty’ you’d be surprised how far little platitudes go#a bandaid and a kiss won’t heal the wound but they make you feel better#people at least like knowing that you heard them and that you want to try#you don’t have to be a poet to know what to say but just say something or at least do not say something disrespectful!

The holes go all the way through, the sides of the book are red, and on some pages the text is colored red just under the holes !
I was so happy when I found it in a little french bookshop specialized in queer texts ❤️
#carmilla#sheridan le fanu#the bookshop is called “les mots a la bouche”#and i love it bc once went there asking 'do you have a novel with a jewish bi or lesbian protagonish ? if possible in fantasy'#and 5 min later i had 3 choices#anyway that is how i read the text (the holes are not bothersome) and i liked it but was frustrated by the lack of some explanations#but i talked with a friend later and they related to carmilla when outside and though it sounded like chronic ilnesses !#love having new perspectives
