Rant inc, Rank Games.

So all those event coming and forcing you to play anything but Brawl. So I got sick of playing Magic Chess and I really don’t like Classic. So I gave Rank Game a shot this weekend for the Blazing West quests. 

I guess it is not as stressful as before but not ranking beyond Epic V since 3 seasons back. It wasn’t easy to figure out all the new Pick and Bans. Also super confused of the new Meta Heroes, also GM being able to draft pick with Epic.  I know if you invite them but otherwise it shouldn’t be possible right? I might have missed something.

So I gave up using Gatot, it gives me Ulcer when players demands me to use him as a Mage/Fighter. I still like using him as a tank but he is definitely squishier than before in comparison after his revamp. Unless you are going fighter build or have a good team.

So I was trying out other tanks, like Lolita and Hylos, so I stucked with Hylos. High damage, durable, easy CC to use. You can easily 1 vs 1 or heck even 1 vs 2. The hardest part with him is not to KS  your Carry while having 2nd skill on. 

I still don’t really know how to use Barats or Atlas, or else I would go with these too. And Uranus is too squishy for me, can’t really make a good fight with him for me. 

I guess the new heroes are being banned and also some Assassin such as Helcurt, Hanzo, Natalia. Mages are Cecilion and Pharsa. Rare but I have seen Barats, Esme and Fanny being banned too. Now the most surprising was Balmond being a meta Hero. I know he is not bad never been if you know how to use him. But in my opinion any hero lacking stun-like CC is not really a good pick for Rank. On another note when they Ban Estes makes me wanna throw up. I am not looking down on Estes but he is easy to counter any day, not ban worthy. 

This was Solo gaming except maybe 5 games or so. I have no clue what tactic is supposed to be used with the new map and such. Now there is EXP lane, GOLD lane etc. I just know I want to go with MM/AD to help them farm. But every single game it is so hard to BABYSIT THEM. They either thirst for kills or too scared to kill, some don’t even bother coming with me and making me solo a lane. Like I don’t mind but that is a total waste of EXP and GOLD.

I am still in the mindset of doing 1-2-2 or 1-3-1 but seriously. The last game was just gross when they tell you what to do. I know I need to roam but come and switch then. Or when they keep starting teamfight without you there and then get angry like are you blind or what. Look at map and follow your Tank.

Oh, when I get rare chances to play MM or Mage I always get left alone to fend my lane by myself for no reason. Tank is not walking with me. Mid coming to steal minions and farm. And then they start to yells at you being useless.

Rank Game is totally awesome if you want to get frustration, anger and start swearing at something. It is debatable whether I wanna keep trying to solo to Mythic though. I wanna be a good Assassin or Fighter to do the solo grinding though. 

Sidenote, I am that kind of arse sometimes, I used Silvana the first time in Rank Game. I know howish to use her from Brawl/Arcade but never tried her in Classic/Rank.
