𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑 … 𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐋 𝐉𝐄𝐍𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 .
(please note that this is based off of h.owl’s moving castle the movie & is set before castle in the air!)
An infamous wizard with Earth origins, Howl Jenkins Pendragon is arguably one of the most powerful, yet elusive, wizards in the land of Ingary. His reputation for jilting flippant infatuations knows no bounds for it had even snagged the Witch of the Waste. Sought after by the king’s army, those with broken hearts, and the power hungry - Howl grows ever skilled in his disguises and vast travels.
MAIN 1 – FREE FALLING .
Celebrate, for the end of war is here! Battle torn, but still in high spirits, Howl is able to rest easy in plain sight. Well, more or less. With his heart secure in his own chest once more, he’s now subjected to the steep learning curve of handling his emotions and humanity. And though Calcifer is free, the fire demon still hangs around - claims to miss familiar company. Howl is known to travel across worlds more frequently in this verse / is the most crossover friendly!
MAIN 2 – TAKE FLIGHT
Two constant companions, three separate names to go by, and countless of those to hide from. Here lays the every day life of Howl Jenkins Pendragon! His heart is still twined with Calcifer’s being, the castle is kept after Markl (his hereby dubbed apprentice), and the Land of Inagry is still at war.
MODERN
No one knows why Howl transported himself from Wales into another world entirely. The simple truth lays in the the handful of hearts he had broken in his youth, and the aggravated dangers of familial ties it brought forth. So he leaped into the land of Ingary where he stirred up just as much, if not more, trouble. But now he’s back on Earth; centuries later with his heart beating in his chest. Calcifer, ever the reluctant yet reliable companion, and him relearn the workings of Earth as the ‘mundane’.
POKEMON
Pokemon trainer full of glitz, glamour, and heartbreak. Poketeam: Togekiss, Grimmsnarl, Hatterene, Chandelure, Mimikyu, and Gallade.
#* & howl jenkins pendragon — headcanon .#// ... SHEESH. digging all of this up aged me like 5 years#// anyways. i'll figure something out for a f.rieren & j.jk verse probably

Woah hey haha didn't know there were so many people out there who liked both TWST AND Labyrinth uhh.
...Am I legally obligated to talk about my Jareth TWST oc now?
I guess so. Here's the boy. My little meow meow.
I guess I'll give oc info here now!
[Octavinelle Dorm]
Jewell Labelle Twisted from: Jareth the Goblin King (Labyrinth 1986) Other inspirations: Ziggy Stardust (The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars)
Grade/Class: Junior/Class C Birthday: August 10th (Leo) Species: Fae (Specifically barn owl) Age: ??? (Says he's around 18 though) Height: 6" (183 cm) Dominant Hand: Left Homeland: Briar Valley Club: Film Studies Club Best Subject: Conjuration Hobbies: Guitar Pet Peeves: Bad hair days (lol) Favorite Food: Mice (it's actually angel food cake but he isn't going to tell that to anyone lol) Least Favorite Food: All fish. Of any kind. Talent: Magic Tricks
Sexuality: Bisexual Gender: Yeah. Pronouns: He/Him Family: Anastasia Labelle (mother), Essex Labelle (father)
Stubborn yet charming. Like most Octavinelle students, Jewell will do anything to get his way, including underhanded tactics. And if something is not to his liking, he will complain. A lot.
Unique Magic: "Such a pity..."
Jewell can condense a fantasy of his making into the form of a bubble. Once this bubble pops against the skin of someone, the afflicted person will soon fall asleep, dreaming of the fantasy the bubble was made from. This slumber can last up to 13 hours at the most. Outside forces will not wake the sleeping person, however, they can definitely become aware that they are dreaming and wake themself up. (Like how Sarah sees the clock and realizes she's dreaming in the ballroom scene in Labyrinth.)
Backstory!!
Jewell is the only son of a fae archivist and resides in the Briar Valley. Considering the amount of fae species spread throughout the world of Twisted-Wonderland, it occurred to Jewel's great-great-grandfather many years ago to begin to archive information about all of these species. Their work is nowhere near done, hence why Jewell is next in line to continue the work of his ancestors. Jewell doesn't particularly want this role. He's more upset that he isn't somewhere else touring with some friends and playing guitar. But there's not much he can do, is there? Life isn't fair.
As a result of his father's profession, he had to travel around a lot, leaving Jewell with a near-nonexistent relationship with his father. His mother, on the other hand, is overbearing in the sense that she is far too worried about his physical safety and well-being to the point where she doesn't allow Jewell to leave the estate by himself. Yet, she has made no point to try to fix Jewell's unsavory way of treating the people around him. Objectively, he is mean and manipulative for fun.
There IS more to Jewell's backstory but I'm still working on some characters involved with him, so this is a WIP for now :3
Fun Jewell Facts:
-Jewell can turn into a barn owl (he also screeches like one!) -He has a deal with Azul where he technically doesn't "work" at the Mostro Lounge like other students. He's entertainment. He'll play guitar or do magic tricks for customers. -He has this DRAMATIC ASS on-and-off relationship with another oc I have twisted from Howl Pendragon LMAO -One time he scared a napping Leona on purpose. Leona knew it was Jewell. He didn't give a shit. -He's like the only Octavinelle student who actually passed flight class (that's not saying much he passed with a D+). Well, he takes potion-making over flight now but before he was a third year? -Jewell can turn his head 270 degrees like an owl. He also is able to eat small rodents and bugs. They don't taste very good but he says he eats mice regularly to scare people. -HATES Malleus Draconia with a PASSION for NO REASON. Anarchy except for the King of Goblins, he's okay. -He acts in films for the Film Studies club on occasion. Jewell mainly helps with general audio stuff and helps compose music.
List of References made to Jareth, Ziggy Stardust, or generally David Bowie in Jewell's character:
-Jewell is unwilling to take over his father's profession but has to do it anyway similar to how Jareth seems unwilling to be the Goblin King but has to anyway. Both of them would rather be down in SoHo lol. -Left-handed, extremely pale ("He played it left-hand, but made it too far", "Well-hung and snow white tan" -Ziggy Stardust (TRAFOZSATSFM)) -Heterochromia (Bowie had anisocoria, his left pupil was permanently dilated as a result of a fight with George Underwood over a girl when he was a teenager. It's a common misconception that Bowie had heterochromia. Hence why I gave Jewell heterochromia.) -The pouch hanging from his belt looks like Hoggle's pouch of trinkets that Sarah steals at some point for a reason. -I created the whole barn owl subset of fae entirely because of Jareth shifting into the form of a barn owl in Labyrinth. -Jewell's mother Anastasia is technically twisted from the Junk Lady. I chose her because, in a SINGLE draft of the Labyrinth script, she was Jareth's mother. And I thought it was FUNNY.
This boy is a combo of Jareth (shown to be selfish and manipulative) and Ziggy Stardust (literally died because he got too famous and let it get to his head). Get him help his ego is farrr too big.

Voltage Inc LIs as literature characters (including mangas)
Kuranosuke Kiba
as Riviere (from "Night Flight" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)
That's not a popular choice, and I highly doubt that there are people who have heard about this book at all. It's a short novel, and please, read it. It's fantastic. Riviere is in my top 5 favorite literature characters. They are both bosses with a metal fist who don't take "I can't" as an answer. Yet, thanks to them, their departments are so successful. At the same time, even if they are considered Devil's cousins by their subordinates, they are more human than most people.
Jun Araki
as Fitzwilliam Darcy (from "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen)
That's pretty obvious. Both Darcy and Araki judged their future lovers wrong. Moreover, their lovers did the same thing. Araki is not as scary as he can look. And just like Darcy, his subordinates adore him. Both of them made mistakes and had prejudices, yet they have redemption arcs that show that they are more than that.
Shusuke Soma
as Jay Gatsby (from "The Great Gatsby" by F. S. Fitzgerald)
Unlike the Darcy-Araki pair, this one is not as obvious. Yes, Gatsby did what he did for a lost lover. He was ready to act out of his character to find her. It's impossible to deny his obsession. At the same time, he is a pleasant and interesting human, with a mystery that people love so much. And here's Soma, who acts out of his character for revenge. Yes, their reasons are different. But they both are the same. Their obsession with what they want is a sick one. Jay Gatsby is a classical rep of an anti-hero. I have never said it before, yet, I think that all the characters in "Her Love in the Force" are, more or less, anti-heroes.
Jin Namba
as Sherlock Holmes (from all the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle)
For me, Namba is the true detective of the series. He has this laid-back attitude when he works and knows more than anyone can imagine. He is such a good detective, but he lacks common sense. Isn't it the perfect description of Sherlock Holmes? Unhealthy relationships with others, nearly no information about their background, ready to do the strangest things to solve a mystery.
Kunihiro Kasai
as Roy Mustang (from "Fullmetal Alchemist" by Hiromu Arakawa)
Just take a look: they are both born leaders with a power greater than people give them credit to be, want to become the leaders to change what is already rotten, are a mess in day-to-day life, and are playboys (I know that Roy isn't one, but that's the role he wants to play). It's not hard to underestimate Roy when you first see how dumb he can be. However, throughout the series, he is one of the strongest alchemists. It's hard to argue that out of all the human alchemists, Roy is the strongest. And here's Kunihiro, who looks like a lazy playboy, drunk on power. Only later do we understand how much he has worked and still works.
Takaomi Tsugaru
as Howl Jenkins Pendragon (from "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones)
For me, this is the most obvious one. I know that Ayumu may look like a better choice for Howl. But hear me out. Howl is an egocentric talented wizard, who plays with girls' hearts but never commits, doesn't want to get involved in sh*t that isn't his, cares about how he looks more than about how he acts, is a total mess, gets entertained by Sophie's comebacks, helps her to discover the power she didn't think she had, considers himself a monster. And here's Tsugaru, who has hidden depression, does what is strictly required, plays with women's hearts, yet has no idea what a relationship is, can't let anyone near him because he's a "monster", thinks highly about his looks. They are both toxic men turned normal because they have found the perfect match. No wonder I want to write a fic that has these resemblances as the theme.
Toshiki Kasumi
as Shogo Kawada (from "Battle Royale" by Takami Koushin)
Shogo is my favorite character ever. I am not the biggest "Battle Royale" fan, yet he is a fantastic character. He knows more than he shows, has the experience, looks scary and intimidating, has a tragic backstory, knows how to interact with people when needed, can think while stressed, and is selfless. Kasumi is the same. They both have the strongest empathy possible, even when anyone else would have lost it. I think that a lot of RMDAOC characters have their equivalents in Battle Royale. Yet, I don't remember enough many of Shogo's classmates to make a list.
Toshiaki Kijima
as Schagerström (from "Charlotte Löwensköld" by Selma Lagerlöf)
Wasn't Schagerström's wife dead for five years at the moment of the beginning of the book? I don't remember. They are brothers from different mothers. The same thing can't be said about their lovers, yet that's another story. Scared for others, isolated, workaholics, deeply in love with someone they think is way out of their league, and both of them are cutie pies.
Hideki Ishigami
as Ginko (from "Mushishi" by Urushibara Yuki)
Firstly, they both have this comforting coldness around them, like you want to hug them for hours, but your know you can't because they won't let you. Orphans, trying to find their paths, avoid people, are intelligent, talk little, and are kings of sarcasm. They would look at you like the dumbest person and then help you without asking. And they both have a sad background and no home to come back to.
Taro Akuchi
as Shizuka Doumeki (from "xxxHolic" by CLAMP)
Taro's role is to protecc and atacc, but most importantly, to make readers simp. He does everything for Suzu and doesn't ask too many questions. From time to time, he can be sarcastic and is known for his bluntness. Yes, Watanuki's attitude towards Doumeki is different from Taro's towards Suzu, but that's it. Doumeki is there to protecc, atacc, and enlarge the xxxHolic fandom. Tall, strong, intelligent, skillful. Also, they both do romantic things that no one expected them to. And look like they are the main men's mother or wife.

Involuntary Invisibility
I’ve read a few fics with this rare trope, and this is what I found when I searched my bookmarks. Anyone know of any others?
and with thy lips dispell this curse by paranoid_fridge No rating. 10k. The Hobbit. Bagginshield.
In a word where neither the One Ring nor the Arkenstone exists and all survive the battle, Bilbo encounters a strange, magical creature while helping to evacuate Dale for the coming winter. He thinks nothing of it initially – but then he watches his own arm pass through solid wood and sees Thorin’s eyes widen in fear and call for him.
“I’m right here.” Bilbo wants to say, but cannot make a sound.
Not when he has been cursed to disappear.
My bookmark: Wow, turning invisible involuntarily is some scary stuff...
Invisible Man by shinkonokokoro T. 21k. Merlin. Merthur.
"You are capable of more?" "More? Your majesty?" "More types of spells. More brain cells as well?" "Yes," he hissed. "Protect yourself." "What?" "Carl, shoot him."
Getting captured by Uther doesn't quite have the results Merlin expect.
My bookmark: Lovely story. Modern royalty au, if you will, where, instead of executing Merlin, Uther makes him play invisible bodyguard, with a lot of emphasis on "You no longer exist." Merlin is terribly amiable, which is funny, and doesn't actually manage to keep his mouth shut when he bodyguards. Arthur creatively names him Voice.
In Visibility by cat_77 T. 14k. Avengers. No pairing.
He was used to slinking in shadows, hidden from sight. This was just ridiculous, really.
My bookmark: "Hey, I figured out several important pieces of data with this little adventure," he protested.
"Such as?" Bruce prompted. Clint knew he was in trouble when Mr. Mellow looked pissed.
"Sitwell is an excellent liar, Fury still has the Gameboy I gave him for Christmas like six years ago, and the World Security Council wants to carve me up like a lab rat," he recited. He considered it an accomplishment that he was able to get any words out at all the way Nat still held him in place, fingertips carving into his skin.
Tony leaned back against the nearby counter and mused, "We figured out some stuff while you were out too, wanna know what?" He didn't wait for a response before he ticked off on his fingers, "One, you're an asshole. Two, the field around you is shrinking. Three, the World Security Council wants to carve you up like a lab rat, or possibly a frog because I doubt they've made it past sixth grade Biology, let's be honest here."
In Plain Sight by oldenuf2nb M. 38k. Harry Potter. Drarry.
Draco Malfoy had stopped believing his wishes would be granted long ago. He could perhaps be forgiven for being startled, then, when one of them came true.
My bookmark: Lovely: the Board decides to do away with the Slytherin House and Hogwarts fights back. Meanwhile, Pansy is terribly injured by a curse and that makes Draco the last Slytherin standing. "He's the last," the voice tells Harry. "There isn't much time." Draco starts by using a disillusionment Charm, but it quickly becomes involuntary invisibility. But Harry's watching, and doesn't want him to disappear entirely. UST, although it isn't sex-heavy at all. There are some shining bits, however, like this bit, after Draco's injured and somewhat stoned: ******** “And that mouth…” he exhaled slowly. “Such a pretty mouth, Potter. Such a pretty, pretty mouth. Makes a man want to grab handfuls of your horrible hair and kiss that pretty, pretty mouth until it’s all soft and puffy and swollen.” Malfoy abruptly released the hold on Harry’s jumper and smoothed the bunched fabric with his hand. “I mussed you,” he noted, his eyes drifting closed and the smile returning to pull at his lips. “I mussed Potter. Although, Potter is usually mussed.”Harry was frozen in place, staring at Malfoy’s face, his heart racing. /What the hell had that been?/ he thought, finally pulling back. Malfoy must be heavily drugged. It was the only explanation for what had just happened.
Who said that? by coconutcranberries (orphan_account) No rating. 33k. Teen Wolf. Sterek.
Stiles has a very unique superpower, in that he doesn't exist. He's invisible, untouchable, unhearable-is that a word?-and just not there. He feels like a ghost most of the time, although he can't walk through walls (he tried, the wall took offense and his nose paid the price) and he can still trip over his own feet. He blends perfectly into the background and no matter how hard he tries, nobody knows he's there.
It's a lonely life, he's not gonna lie.
But suddenly something changes. Stiles is part of a group project which includes probably the most explosive combination of people in his class. These people don't notice when he waves a hand right in front of their face-how could they when he doesn't exist? The possibilities are endless.
Oh, this is going to be so much fun.
My bookmark: Such an interesting idea: Stiles' power is to make himself not exist... AT ALL. So from the time he's 8, he's vanished from everyone's awareness, all records deleted, everything. Only his dad can see him (and even that is periodically unreliable). But then suddenly, Derek sees him one day, which starts a chain of events that leads to him feeling hopeful once again about being able to interact with the world. It's kind of tragic, I mean, think of the loneliness, the skin hunger, the sense of abandonment involved in being non-existent for 8 years. But it eventually works out.
In Time of Trial by Shine M. 38k. Merlin. Merthur.
Uther fears his son's power, and Merlin has helped Arthur flee to escape imprisonment. Now the two of them must fight to regain Arthur's rightful place in Camelot.
My bookmark: Wow, what a fantastic story. 36k words never went so fast. This is the one where Uther's old friend Aelfric comes to visit and slowly drips poison into his ear until he's convinced that Arthur is going to try to depose him and take the crown. When he orders Arthur to be taken to the dungeons as a traitor (and killed on the spot if he struggles), Merlin races ahead of the guards to rescue Arthur. (Luckily, he's been practicing a spell that makes things invisible. Unluckily, he has to spring it on Arthur with no warning at all and convince him to be silent and still while the guards search his room around them.) And thus is magic revealed. The pair go on the run, and eventually settle near Tintagel, where all the Druids live, and begin preparations to fight back. Arthur allows himself to act on his attraction to Merlin (I'd rate this an M), perhaps because now that he sees that Merlin is a powerful warlock, he sees them as being equals. Also, there's no doubt of Merlin's loyalty, considering how they got out of Camelot.
Merlin's Moving Castle by KrisEleven G. 49k. Merlin. Merthur.
As a result of some very unfortunate decisions, Arthur Pendragon, king of Camelot, is cursed by Morgana (also known as the Witch of the Wastes) and becomes fully invisible to anyone who doesn’t possess magic. Forced to abandon his kingdom, he begins his quest for a remedy to his unfortunate condition and comes across the quite charming - and even more annoying - Merlin who may be the only one able to save Albion, if only Arthur can convince him to try.
My bookmark: What an amazing story. I kind of expected a rehash of the Howl's Moving Castle plot (which would have been fine, as I adore the story), but instead the author used only pieces of it and built something entirely new and totally belonging to Merlin and Arthur and their world from the show. There was a surprising amount of action (Merlin first meets Arthur during a fight and flight) and it culminates in an enormous battle. But in between, it's Arthur, learning to be patient and getting to know some new people... learning about the world through their eyes. It's just beautiful.
Beyond the Mirror's Edge by VivacissimoVoce M. 49k. Harry Potter. Drarry.
Harry Potter is dead! A spell goes wrong in Advanced Charms class, leaving nothing but a charred ring and a pair of empty shoes. Draco Malfoy must figure out what happened and try to bring Harry back.
My bookmark: interesting premise! The one where Harry is hit by a protection charm gone wrong and only his shoes are left. Dumbledore's Dead/Alive device only wavers with the needle halfway between the two when it's questioned, and no one knows where Harry is or how he's half alive. "The small wooden box with the life-death dial was mounted on the wall outside of the Charms classroom, with Potter’s shoes encased in a glass box beneath. The needle stayed resolutely fixed between the two indicators, but no one was sure what it meant."And then Draco hears, "Can anybody hear me?"Draco looked up and checked down the table. "Beg pardon?" he asked Pansy."I didn't say anything," she looked up in surprise."Anybody, please, if anybody can hear me please say something!"
Unseen by astolat M 11k. Harry Potter. Drarry.
When he wasn’t wearing it, he got jumpy, always waiting for someone to come at him wanting something—and now they did it even more urgently, if they ever saw him, because most of the time, nobody did.
My bookmark: #not involuntary invisibility#but i'll tag it that way#for my own purposes
What it says on the tin, really. Draco is the only one who notices that Harry has turned himself into a ghost and is "haunting them all before his death". He carefully takes the Cloak, just for 24 hours, challenging Harry to see if he can do without it. Of course, Harry's never heard a challenge from Draco that he hasn't immediately and fiercely accepted. But it's HARD. As Draco, in a weird combination of rude and kind, coaxes him through the week, Harry learns to be seen again, is shown how to protect himself, and finds himself falling for Draco.
we are tangled by drunktuesdays T. 6k. Teen Wolf. Sterek.
"Derek was at your house?" "For like ten seconds," Stiles said. "I'd say it was weird, but is anything about Derek ever not weird?"

John had had the knack for as long as he could remember.
It wasn’t that he could become invisible, exactly. The laws of physics worked quite well in his vicinity, thank you very much. It was just that people tended … not to see him.
My bookmark: Invisibility not actually involuntary, but this has always been one of my favorites.

i’d like to formally introduce my new verse: FATE / CASTER HOWL PENDRAGON
CLASS !
caster
STATS !
Energy: 75.63 / 100
Attack Damage: 75.26 / 100
Attack Speed: 77.29 / 100
Movement Speed: 85.23 / 100
Armor: 53.87 / 100
WEAPONS !
N/A
ATTACKS !
geminate
This ability allows the wizard to create multiple duplicates of himself , used in the form of a distraction in order to confuse his opponent. This move also resembles a ‘mirror house’ often seen at fairs and circuses and upon contact with the duplicates , it would simply disappear , leaving only dust to show that it ever existed.
portal dance
With his knack for dimensional travel during his lifetime , Howl uses that to his advantage by summoning various portals at his opponents’ weak spots. Through said portals , he could either dodge , escape , or counter with a stealthy attack of his own. Each portal has a lasting span of up to 2.5 seconds --- providing only enough time for the wizard to travel and for no one else to follow him through it.
elemental magic: air
This ability allows him to control the air in his primary surroundings , thus also allowing him to use it in terms of defense or offense. With the air , Howl can create the illusion of flight , can blast away opponents standing within close proximity or he can even manipulate it to lift them off ground. As for offensive purposes , he often uses this along with his portals , raising only a single palm after having transported closer to his opponent and blasting them straight-on with what he’d call an ‘ air-bolt. ’
elemental magic: fire
This elemental magic is probably the least-used by the wizard , given that it focuses primarily on OFFENSE. It provides him with the ability to summon fire balls within the palm of his hand and upon throwing them , a large explosion could take place within the proximity of where it lands. Howl could also not be burned by any sort of flame , thus providing him with a large advantage against any fire-dependent opponent.
NOBLE PHANTASM !
combination magic: elemental union
For his most powerful ability , Howl uses the majority of his attacks and combines them into one. Calling upon multiple portals to surround his opponent , the wizard would mesh together his ‘ air-bolt ’ attack with a large fireball , creating what could be known as the ‘ ultimate air meteor. ’ This attack could travel through any of his portals , thoroughly confusing his enemy on when and where it would make itself known until its too late. The aftermath would be a large crater , tipped over trees and partial collapse of any nearby buildings , and smoke left in its remains.
THE HOLY GRAIL WAR !
Howl Pendragon does not have any desire to win The Holy Grail War , but alas , given his contract --- the wizard must adhere to whatever demands his master puts onto him. As a servant , Howl is unused to being treated as a mere weapon for the insanity of others , whose intentions to win the war may not be as wholesome as he would have liked. But like always --- He did not voice his opinions on the matter , finding it much easier to do as he was told anyway. But even so , Howl is not easily fooled. Although cowardly sometimes in certain aspects , he knows right from wrong and would often disobey orders if he saw it fit --- though , he makes sure to be within no range of his master before doing so.
Howl is also the casual - type , dressing only in his normal and vibrant coat , white top , dark bottoms and dress shoes. And wherever his master may lead him , he had already relented into obeying ; however , he also found that he would listen to his female masters more as opposed to others.
#speccciaalll thank you to jewelfate for helping me with this omg#what a pal#but !!! here we go#&.verse: added#&.caster

Lovely: the Board decides to do away with the Slytherin House and Hogwarts fights back. Although, Potter is usually mussed.”
Harry was frozen in place, staring at Malfoy’s face, his heart racing. /What the hell had that been?/ he thought, finally pulling back. Malfoy must be heavily drugged. It was the only explanation for what had just happened.
In Time of Trial by Merlin, Merthur, Mature, 37k.
Uther fears his son's power, and Merlin has helped Arthur flee to escape imprisonment. Now the two of them must fight to regain Arthur's rightful place in Camelot.
Wow, what a fantastic story.
This isn’t focused on the involutarily invisible aspect, but it does deserve a mention.
Merlin's Moving Castle by KrisEleven Merlin, Merthur, Gen, 49k.
What an amazing story.
Unseen by astolat Harry Potter, Drarry, M, 11k. Not so much involuntarily invisible as voluntary and fucked up, but damn it’s fucking gorgeous.
When he wasn’t wearing it, he got jumpy, always waiting for someone to come at him wanting something—and now they did it even more urgently, if they ever saw him, because most of the time, nobody did.

Invisible by chappysmom Sherlock,Johnlock, Gen, 86k.
John had had the knack for as long as he could remember.
It wasn’t that he could become invisible, exactly. The laws of physics worked quite well in his vicinity, thank you very much. It was just that people tended … not to see him.
Not involuntary, but my first invisible fanfic, and I adore it.

Such an interesting idea: Stiles' power is to make himself not exist...

When a magical enemy of Merlin's decides it's high time Arthur found out about Merlin's magic, he sets a spell forcing Arthur to be bound to Merlin. There was a catch though, Merlin couldn't see him. So Arthur is forced to be Merlin's shadow for a day. He never expected to see this though. The magic was a surprise... But this? Can Arthur get himself visible in time?

Stiles yawned and crawled out of bed, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. They felt strangely gritty for some reason. It was then that he remembered the odd blue cloud. He trudged toward the bathroom and opened the door, expecting to see his reflection covered in sparkly powder. Instead, he saw... nothing.
(Or, Stiles is invisible because pixies are freaking annoying.)
He That Rides Unseen by Vulgarweed The Hobbit, Bagginshield, Explicit, 6k. Not involuntary:
There is much more to Bilbo than meets the eye – especially on those occasions when none of him does. Thorin has faced down his fears on so many truly dangerous occasions, he will not shrink from the mere uncanniness of being seduced by someone he can't see. A fandom-specific kink: sex with the Ring on.
