If i may request more!
Can i please request a romance, comfort crk affogato x fem!reader?
It's about reader whom serving in the dark cacao castle (she can have any job; maid, nurse, chef..etc a job that's making her a normal NPC) and is visiting affogato in secret outside the walls to supplies him with food because despite begin a traitor of the kingdom, Reader still loves affogato and wants him happy.
If personality could help writing the chapter: reader is a good, kind and caring soul.
bet 🫡
Tumblr media
"Would you still love me, even if I'm a traitor?" An Affogato Cookie x Fem!Reader oneshot/drabble.
Summary: Said above.
a/n: I love Affogato so much it isn't even a joke. Also I'm lowk tired and couldn't tell if you wanted headcanons or a oneshot so I just spat out my thoughts once more. Also, I did NOT use A.I or anything of the sort during my time writing this. I literally had to search up what 'beguiled' meant and so many random synonyms like bro PLEASE this is human-created I swear on my living parent
CW: N/A
---
Many called him a deceitful snake. Others called him treacherous and claim to have been beguiled by his words and actions when he was still the Royal Advisor. And then there were some who called him a disgrace to the Dark Cacao Kingdom as a whole. But you, oh, you sweet and caring one, saw something else behind the way he portrayed himself. You looked past the rumors and hearsay that circled around him.
He rarely spoke to you when he was still in power, but he did sneak into the kitchens in the dead of night and before sunrise to snatch a few sweet treats. You actually caught him at times, taking some snacks. "My liege... I don't think you're supposed to be taking those, especially this late at night.." you had said while checking on the kitchen, a little lantern in your hands.
"Hush, Y/N Cookie, I'll repay you back. I simply...like the way they're prepared. And I'm just...analyzing their design and taste-testing it to see if they're poisonous, obviously."
"...sure you are, Royal Advisor." Obviously, you knew that he was lying, but it was funny, nonetheless. So sure, you let him occasionally take the few treats, and he paid you back with coins. It was...probably suspicious and perhaps illegal, but it wasn't like anyone found out.
---
Now, your hands packed another bundle of food—dried fruits, a flask of hot tea, and a little dessert carefully tucked into cloth. You made sure it was enough. He never asked for much, not anymore. But you knew the mountain nights were cruel, and even traitors needed kindness.
None of the guards or Watchers suspected anything. To them, you were another part of the Kingdom who had to be protected. Especially a kitchen worker like you.
You approached the ex-advisor's makeshift hideout with a kind smile, and beneath the stone arch that could somewhat be called a door, sat Affogato Cookie. His cloak was drawn close, piercing white eyes dim under the dark and heavy clouds. He didn’t speak at first. He never did. But when the former advisor saw the food, and the gentle smile you offered despite the storm brewing in the distance, his expression shifted—just barely.
"You risk being caught, but you always come back... I told you to stay back at the Citadel." Affogato Cookie murmurs, yet he let you inside the little cave he had turned into his hideout over the three months he had been exiled, the strong scent of herbs and other plants deterring away Cream Wolves and any other trackers.
Your voice was soft as you knelt beside him, setting the bundle of food down. "And I'm stubborn when it comes to the ones I care about. That includes you, you know."
Affogato Cookie didn't respond immediately.
Instead, he stared down at the little bundle of food you’d unwrapped, as if it were some precious relic instead of just dried fruit and tea. His gloved fingers brushed lightly over the cloth, hesitating at the dessert you’d tucked away just for him. "It feels like you're pitying me, sometimes. I should try and push you away, but it makes me look worse. Beaten by a band of vagabonds and forced to reside in a haphazard place such as this," he gestured to this stony hideout, a scowl on his face. "It's lowly."
"I wasn't aware that it's lowly to want to help you, My Liege. Besides, you'll starve if you try to only eat herbs and medicines." you remarked back, passing him a cup and pouring the tea.
"Go on, drink. It won't kill you." you smile, noticing the way his eyes softened. Just a tad bit, but it was something.
With a light scoff, the ex-advisor took the cup in his hands, holding it delicately as he took the first few sips. There was already a sugar cube or two, just the way he liked.
"Perhaps it's...not so bad after all." he remarked after some moments of quiet pondering...or maybe he was just savoring the warmth.
His eyes were tired, and you noticed it. You could see it in the way he'd hold his cup close, how he seemed so... subdued.
Affogato Cookie's gaze lingered on the unwrapped bundle of food—your careful hands, the way your fingers trembled from the cold, yet you still offered everything without hesitation. He could never understand that about you. Why you cared. Why you stayed.
Then he let out a sneer. Bitter, of course, like the coffee that made up most of his being.
"I can never understand why you're so adamant about giving me these meals. This...kindness. Caramel Arrow Cookie would surely call you out for assisting a traitor like me. If she knew, if the King knew, if anyone—"
"I'd go with you, far away from this place. Would you let me?"
That made him look at you. Really look. There was something in your gaze that made his stomach twist—not with hunger, but with guilt. Longing. Worry. He exhaled, a soft laugh slipping past his lips. "I used to be good at talking my way out of things. These days, I can barely lie to myself."
"You don't have to lie around me. Would you really think I'd judge you, My Liege?"
(can you tell I lowk got tired and I really wanted to add bit more at the end 😭💔🥀)

session 9: once again playing catch up writing what we played last week oops!
We started the Sacred Ashes content--which meant our warden Coe's first trip to Denrim! So we spent some time exploring and talking to all the NPCs around the Market District--visually Setna really liked this, esspecially the shaded tent of vendors selling things in the middle of the square. For reference in real life Setna owns a fantasy themed garb business and sells the clothes at local renaissance faires (where I work for her as an assistant), so this was some fun immersion for us lmao. Anyway--chatted up the vendors (I had uh, forgotten the Chevalier lore we got in Origins, yikes), made a note to come back later when we have more money and fame, and also realized everyone in Denerim knows Coe is one of the Grey Wardens and the trouble that may or may not bring.
We also picked up some sidequests from the chantry board, convinced our dog (Eio) NOT to kidnap a child, considered some quests from Slim Couldry, delivered a small painted box to the doors of a mysterious Red Jenny, and then talked to Sergeant Kylon who asked us to stop some trouble at the Pearl brothel. At this point we discovered the door to Alistair's sister Goldanna's house also--so we went ahead and knocked, and Alistair had his disappointing first meeting 😞 Coe comforted him and he decided he will do what he can to help support Goldanna's family at the end of our quest.
Finally we made it into Brother Genitivi's home! Wylon inside told us to give up but Setna instantly clocked that he was shady. After digging in with some accusatory conversational options, Coe finally goaded him into a fight, and after killing him we discovered the REAL Wylon's body in the back, along with Genitivi's research notes. With that in mind we decided to go check out what was going on at the bar in the Docks anyway just in case--we were able to take out the mercenaries who tried to ambush us there as well. This will point us to Haven for next time...
...but for This time, we went ahead and took a trip to the Pearl first to drive off the mercenaries. Setna laughed a lot when she realized it was an actual in-game brothel where your characters can sleep with the employees (she hit the 'ask to see the men' option and didn't think it would give you a literal lineup), but did not sleep with any, esp when i told her yes it would cost some of the 4 gold i have been desperately saving up so i can afford Bodhan's next backpack upgrade. However... in the corner of the Pearl we DID meet a dashing rouge by name of Isabela!!!!!!! Playing a rogue, conversation got us chatting about that Duelist specialization, and I admit here that I ended up reading responses to the offer Isabela makes (play a game of cards with her first to earn it) in a very suggestive voice so she wouldn't miss the innuendo of the "how about we get to know each other some other way?" line or whatever it is. She's been casually flirting with Zevran so he was also invited to join. Setna here did say "okay i want to do this choice because *I* think it's fun even though I don't think this is what Coe would really do" but whatever that's the videogame spirit. Isabela threesome achieved!
Anyway after that amusement back to camp for a few conversational catch-ups before we continue on the main quest next time, and distributing random gifts we picked up. Alistair was of course disappointed about his family situation and we consoled him again. Morrigan is beginning to open up more and is currently our highest by approval (besides the dog), and she's definitely one of Setna's favorites. Leliana told us some stories, and Wynne i think just had some other basic remarks about mages or the circle or such. Shale had some fun quips and Setna still likes 'him'/'it' a lot too. I made her give Sten another painting but he hasn't unlocked any new convo yet... but soon. Same for Zevran--no new unlocks but we'll find his leather boots soon in Haven. ETA: OH I just remembered we also did trigger the uhhhh, conversation with Leliana where she just makes a series of racist microaggressions if you're an elf. We did step out of game for a sec so i could confirm you can indeed push companions on their prejudices/not just agree with whatever they say for approval and that can in fact be better for them in the long run, so called Leliana out there, who in response says she needs to do some self reflection lol.
That's all this time! next time, more plot, probably.
Setna Plays DAO
this post thread will be part 2! find all of part 1 here
session 8: last time we wrapped up saving Conner, and getting the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. now first up, camp chats! going to readmore these posts now to avoid them getting too long, so details below the cut.
our bro Alistair first--my friend likes that he's funny, but also that you can be a little snarky to him and he just rolls his eyes and accepts it as a joke. he gives us the heartfelt "thank you for helping out Eamon's (and his) family" speech, since we went out of our way to save Connor. Setna remarks that she thinks at some point he may attempt getting romantic with us and we'll have to shoot him down--this is def a possibility though she hasn't taken too many of the overly nice and none of the flirty lines with him, so i'm actually not sure if that will trigger or not. Wynne's here now, so we chatted with her next, and i revealed the Age Conundrum--fwiw i think the bioware writers are just bad at math, she's clearly supposed to be around 70 not 50. i think the dates given in the tie in novels were just thrown out there with less thought. worth a chuckle though!
for tonight's adventuring, I took us on a detour from the main story to go get Shale. grabbed the control rod, skipped down to Honleath (triggering the cutscene with Howe, Loghain, and Anora confronting him--I pointed out after that Howe is voiced by Tim Curry and she's excited to see more of that later lol), fought through the town & insanely large community basement/wilhelm's lab. along the way i accidentally clicked morrigan and i guess she got a +1 approval somewhere because she asked us to search for the Grimoire, which we did in fact already pick up in the tower.
Agreed to go search for Amalia, lied to Kitty, STRUGGLED my way thru the damn tile puzzle, and sent Amalia running back to daddy while we took out Kitty. then finally out to wake up Shale with the correct password! fantastic news is my friend LOVES Shale (going to stick to "it" pronouns until the reveal bc i am trying SO hard not to slip up in person), specifically that it jokes to her and seems to like when she jokes back. we had a lot of follow up discussion about what exactly a golem is, at least with the current knowledge from the game. Shale agrees to come with us so it's back to camp!
first convo with Shale confirms Setna's love for it. next a round of basic gifts to get the gang warmed up to us a little more, which unlocks Morrigan's backstory dialogue about the stolen mirror Flemmeth smashed, and Wynne's nervous check-in on our thoughts about Abominations. Also triggers Alistair's asking to go visit Goldanna in Denerim, and she was annoyed that agreeing to this is less +approval than giving him a funny runestone we found. I tell her how beautiful Sten loves fancy paintings and she says "that makes sense" to which I go "what" and she refuses to elaborate. Zevran has no new dialogue for us and she threatens to turn him down if he asks for a date and sees me go 😭 at the thought. Then we go hand over Flemmeth's Grimoire to Morrigan, and have a chat about Morrigan's growth over the past sessions/how she's starting to open up, yay. she still feels most attached to her and Alistair, since they've been with us from the start, and have had the most chances to get to know them.
ended with just a couple codexes to read at the end of the night. decided next time we'll start the ashes quest, since Teagan asked and she doesn't like leaving things open ended... and i will quietly go off and check what levels things are there bc i usually save it for the end, uh oh

tosses these ✨💗 for the meme (4 whomever really speaks to u)
catches them :D Sounds like a plan!! Random thing generator has given me Chieko, and I really like that choice, so we're going with her!
✨ If your OC were a deity of some kind, what would they represent? What do they look like? How are they worshiped and what offerings would they expect? What are their places of worship like? Their followers? Their teachings?
I had to think on this one for a sec, but I did indeed settle on something! Chieko would be a nature goddess, but a very specific variant of one. Her domain would be trees/forests, and a little bit time as well--she's the goddess of plants that can live for years and years, and she's the goddess of both the old ones and the young ones. She'd be decently well-known but also perhaps one of the easier gods to ignore if you're too deeply entrenched in city areas--not a wise choice to make, to ignore her, but ye. She wouldn't particularly require offerings of any kind, but she would demand respect when in her domain or at a dedicated shrine to her, and would look favorably on those who planted trees (especially those who did so in her name). As for those who don't respect her, they might not get immediate consequences for it, but someday it'll come back to bite them in the ass. People who follow her and are specifically dedicated to her worship tend to, unsurprisingly, be those who spend a lot of time in the areas she oversees, but she has followers in other areas of the world as well.
💗 Relationships? Who are their friends, their family relations, lover(s), foes? What sort of personalities really tick them off and what others do they like? Is there anything that’d ruin a friendship for them?
Oh this is a fun one--since I don't talk about Chieko enough, most of this info is going to be entirely new! :D For friends, her closest ones would be Dahlia, Petra, Faren, Ayumi, and Ever. Dahlia's the same as the NPC by that name in Siren's Landing. Petra is from DR and the human personal story, but the reason Chieko knows her isn't actually from that, since that's not her story path--Chieko('s family) became the benefactor/patron for Petra's family tavern in 1325. Faren, of course, is well-known, and Chieko (as someone noble-born) very much knew him growing up. Ayumi's the tengu from EoD who helps out the Commander and does her best to be in charge of things in Arborstone; she and Chieko become friends while Chieko's in Cantha doing research afterwards. Ever is a kiddo who I've just created when character slots were on sale and it doesn't have a lot of lore/background yet, but it's part of Chieko's search-and-rescue squad with the Pact!
Family-wise, Chieko has her parents, both of whom are still alive and love her very much, although they have some trouble understanding the path she takes. They definitely have some thoughts on her romantic choices when she (after EoD) starts dating Valeria zu Heltzer. And as for foes? She doesn't really make a whole lot of enemies, and the people she had strong enough personal issues with to make that list (Scarlet, Balthazar, and Joko, to name some bigger names) are either dead or no longer a problem. (On a more minor level, maybe a couple of the tengu in Arborstone who won't stop complaining about Ayumi.)
Chieko doesn't care for people who pull status often and stand on self-importance. It bugs her, considering how hard she's tried to quit doing that and how irritated she knows it makes other people. For personalities she likes, anyone who's not incredibly abrasive (and not a jerk) could eventually make friends with her if they spent enough time together. Is there anything that'd ruin a friendship for her? Someone trying to use her, because of her position or because of anything else. Instant nope.

Yo sorry if this question takes a while to awnser, but if Cleo and Kiki were NPCs what do you think thief heart events will be like? If you don't want to awnser this that's fine, I'm just curious.
no problem! i actually need a break from my essay anyway i wrote 4 pages and it took me 5 hours/made me stressed, so this is a good way to decompress for me!
Tumblr media
kiki’s 2 heart event - standard, boring 2 heart event... enter pelican town on a sunny day anywhere from 9am to 4pm. you see kiki on her way out of pierre’s and her grocery bag breaks. you have 4 options:
ask “are you okay?” and help her (+30 friendship). kiki is embarrassed someone saw her, but says “thank you so much for helping me! that was pretty funny, wasn’t it? i guess i bought too much”
“i didn’t see anything” (no effect on friendship). kiki just laughs it off
ignore her/do nothing (no effect on friendship). kiki goes “...” before telling herself she’s so clumsy and running off
“wow, that was dumb of you.” (-50 friendship) kiki, trying to remain deadpan, responds “yeah, you’re right”
kiki’s 4 heart event - (similar to leah’s 4 heart event) enter kiki’s house when she’s there. for some reason, she doesn’t notice you entered and you hear someone else talking unintelligibly on the landline, but she isn’t responding. after a while, she hangs up without saying anything, notices you, and jumps, asking “have you been here the whole time?” you have 3 options:
lie and say “i just got here” (no effect on friendship). kiki sighs and says “oh, okay. that’s good”
"who was that?” (no effect on friendship). kiki goes “...” and tells you it was just an annoying telemarketer. then she asks if she can help you with anything
"are you okay?” (+20 friendship). kiki tells you she just got an unwanted call from someone she doesn’t want to talk to but doesn’t elaborate. she mentions being worried someone’s going to come over, then realizes you’re still there and laughs it off as a joke, trying to cover it up with a random fact about tulips
kiki’s 6 heart event - (similar to haley’s 6 heart event) enter the cindersap forest from 5pm to 9pm while it’s raining. kiki spots you (“!”) and asks for help, explaining her cat (ghost) ran away because she didn’t properly lock her door and the storm blew it open (this literally happened to me and my cat didn’t come home for 3 days LOL). she explains how important her cat is to her. you have 2 options:
"i’ll help you find him!” (+30 friendship)
“just get another cat?” (-30 friendship)
either way, you can walk around the cindersap forest and click on a bunch of shrubs. the cat will come out of one of them and you bring it back to her. kiki hugs you and says she felt too guilty to ask anyone else for help. she also points out because it was raining you should go back inside before you get sick, so she offers to walk you home
also: fun fact the farmer replaces sebastian in here because this was something i wrote for him, but it feels like a good 6 heart one imo
kiki’s 8 heart event - done here!
kiki’s 10 heart event - (similar to emily and maru’s) you get a letter in the mail from kiki that says something along the lines “come by the forest tonight!” if you enter the cindersap forest from anytime between 7pm to 11pm ONLY during the summer you’ll trigger the event. it turns out she wanted to look at constellations with you and borrowed maru’s telescope. kiki starts talking about how she was figuring out how to make up for you finding her cat but didn’t want to do anything boring. you only have 1 option:
"wait, is this a date?” (no effect on friendship)
kiki gets MEGA embarrassed, explaining she thought it was obvious but isn’t going to be mad if you don’t like her. you now have 3 options:
"wait, i do like you!” (no effect on friendship). kiki goes, “seriously? you mean it? i’m so happy!” and you resume the date. before the cutscene ends, she has you look at some stars and explains the story of altair & vega which originated in china (“have you heard about the story of altair and vega? it’s about a cowherd and a weaver girl who fell in love but were separated by a river which is supposed to be the milky way. it’s sad, but once a year a bunch of magpies form a bridge and they reunite. romantic, right?”)
“i’m sorry, i don’t like you” (no effect on friendship). kiki tells you she understands, explaining you’re just as good of a friend and will be fine
“ew” (-30 on friendship). kiki sighs and tells her she better return maru’s telescope
as for cleo i have no idea if cleo would be a marriageable npc... we’ll see. let’s get to her heart events though (excluding her 10 heart event)
cleo’s 2 heart event - enter cleo’s room whenever she’s in there. cleo asks why you didn’t knock out of annoyance, but gets over it to complain she smells like fish (because she’s a fisherwoman LOL). you have 2 options:
“if you hate the smell of fish so much, why are you a fisherman?” (no effect on friendship). cleo explains she picks up fishing because that’s the 1 condition kiki has if she wants to stay with her free of rent. she complains about her cousin for trying to teach her some work ethic, then goes on to say she can’t wait til she and whatever sam’s band is called gets famous and she can stop fishing
“not my problem” (-30 friendship). cleo gets irritated and tells you “look, i didn’t ask to be a fisherwoman, okay? i hate farming and mining doesn’t make that much money. why are you even in here?”
cleo’s 4 heart event - enter pelican town any time during the day when it’s sunny. you overhear haley berating cleo with a magazine (even though they’re friends), who asks why she never mentioned she modeled. cleo gets annoyed and tells haley to back off because she doesn’t want to talk about it. you have 2 options:
do absolutely nothing (-30 friendship). haley finally walks off; cleo looks at you and goes, “what are you looking at? don’t listen to stuff that isn’t any of your business”
tell haley to stop (+30 friendship). haley sighs and apologizes to cleo for being nosey and leaves. cleo awkwardly thanks you and says something offhand like “i guess you’re cool” before running off
make up an excuse to pull cleo aside like “cleo, i don’t get how to use my fishing rod, can you help?” (+50 friendship). cleo thanks you for not making a huge scene and sighs. she explains haley figured out how used to be a model and wouldn’t stop asking why she quit. she also mentions she knows you probably want to know and claims it’s just “stupid personal garbage” and “the modeling industry is shit”
cleo’s 6 heart event - enter cleo’s room whenever she’s in there again. you find her mumbling to herself out of annoyance before she notices you and greets you. then, she explains she just figured out that everyone in her old band seems to be doing really well and she’s worried they’re going to get a gig for the band SHE started. you have 2 options:
ask “what band?” (no effect on friendship). cleo explains her mom wouldn’t let her go to a gig for the band to punish her, leaving them without a bassist. she says when she snuck out to go, the lead guitarist had immediately replaced her and decided to kick her out of the band, which is why cleo ran away out of humiliation. plus, she thinks their new music sounds like shit
“who cares? you don’t need them!” (+30 friendship). cleo goes silent before telling you you’re SO right and tells you that good-for-nothing guitarist that kicked her out wasn’t even that good of a guitarist!
“maybe you were a bad bassist” (-50 friendship). cleo gets defensive and tells she was a perfectly good bassist. then she sighs and says she wonders if she’s not as good as she thinks she is and should just stick to fishing, before telling you to get out
cleo’s 8 heart event - (similar to sam’s 8 heart event) cleo shows up to your door when you wake up and gives you a flyer for a battle of the bands in zuzu city. the next day, you go to the venue with cleo and she realizes she’s going up against her old band before freaking out. she tells you she doesn’t know what to do because she’s scared she’ll mess up and prove them right. you have 3 options:
"you can do this!” (+50 friendship). cleo tells you that’s cheesy but you’re right. she goes on to say “screw all of them! i don’t care!”
“who cares? show them what they’re missing!” (+50 friendship). cleo gets pumped and agrees with you before saying, “ugh, what was i thinking? i don’t care what any of them think”
"don’t be a baby” (no effect on friendship). cleo goes “ugh” before begrudgingly admitting you’re right
either way, you get to hear them play like in sam’s 8 heart event. it should correspond with whatever music genre you chose for him in his own events. sam’s band also wins and cleo makes fun of her old band. the lead guitarist gets annoyed and tries to fight with her over it. you have 2 options:
“get him cleo!” (no effect on friendship). cleo punches the lead guitarist off the screen the way pierre punches morris at the community center
“ignore him, he’s just a loser” (no effect on friendship). cleo says she guesses taking the higher road is better and doesn’t wanna mess up her hands
regardless of what option you pick, at the end of the cutscene, cleo thanks your farmer for encouraging her not to giving up and how she couldn't have done it w/o your help
okay that’s it! i’m sorry for taking so long to write this, but i hope it was interesting and i promise really appreciate the ask <3 it was fun to write

Your fallout OC as a companion taken from @goovat ask meme except I'm using it as a writing prompt/ oc development? I guess? because I think it's cool and I'm bored and want to write it all anyways
Anywhompst this is for Alwine and since it's pretty long (like really long you've been warned) I'll throw 'er under the cut
What perk would they give the player?
Occam's Laser
While Alwine is an active companion the player gets +40% damage with laser weapons and +25% headshot accuracy in VATS with scoped laser weapons. One shot kills produce 2X the XP.
Tumblr media
How do you recruit them? are there multiple methods?
After the player levels past level 10, or alternatively, upon finding Paladin Danses Recon team Alwine will be found as a new recruit for the BOS. Once the player does the first two repeat quests by Haylen and Rhys and The Lost Patrol quest begins she is available to assist the player in the mission. After the mission is complete she may offer to follow the player as a companion if the player has chosen the more diplomatic speech options with Brandis and Danse. If the player chose the more aggressive/ rude options while speaking with the two then it will require a small speech check in order to be a companion.
What raises and lowers their affinity?
Raises: Minutemen/ Helping Settlement quests, Stealing from wealthy NPCs, BOS quests up until BB, Helping Anyone, Honorable Actions, Amicable Dialogue Choices (for the most part)
Lowers: Murdering innocents, Stealing From Settlers/ Not Well Off NPCs, Unnecessarily Rude Dialogue Options
How do they react to certain things? what do they say? (eg. lockpicking, grabbing junk, killing?)
Lockpicking:
(nostalgic/ thinking to self out loud/ amused) " Really coulda used a trick like that when I got locked outta my house that one time..."
(humorous/ surprised) " And here I was ready to blow 'er open"
(thinking to self out loud/ amused) " Hell o' a lot quieter than kickn' er open"
Grabbing Junk:
(blanket statement/ flatly) "it's amazing what you can build outta junk"
(enthusiastic/ bubbly) "It might be radioactive but if ya render it down with a bit ah castor oil it makes a great paint for glow sights"
(humorous/ matter of factly) "I'd rather carry 40 pounds ah junk than fork up an arm and a leg to buy the same shit later from Crazy Myrna"
Player Overencumbered:
(genuine concern) "If ya keep pickin' shit up you'll slip a disc"
(teasing/ amused/ worried) "Jeeesus look at yah! You look like a pack brahmin!"
(teasing/ amused) "With yer pack so stuffed if ya fall on yer face you'll never get up again"
Murder:
[Alwine Hated That]
(angry/ surprised) "What the fuck is wrong with you!?"
(angry/ confrontationally) "You better spit out a good reason for that and fast"
(angry/ bewildered) "Are you for real?"
notes: Alwines reaction to murder is exclusive to people she genuinely feels are innocent. She's comfortable with deaths she deems necessary (or if the person made themselves known as a pretty awful person).
Cannibalism:
[Alwine Disliked That]
(disgusted/ shocked) "oh? OH. Great, like there wasn't enough nightmare fuel out here"
(disgusted/ worried) "In't there, like, a brainworm or sumn' you can get from doin that?"
(disgusted but still attempting to be light hearted/ humorous) "Like it blue eh? I prefer mine rare... a lil less peopley too..."
Stealing in general:
[Alwine Disliked That]
(irritated) "Hope that wasn't somethin important"
(irritated) "Should I be sleeping with one eye open round you?"
(irritated) "Like people don't have enough shit to worry 'bout out here..."
Stealing/Pick Pocketing (but from wealthy/etc NPCs):
[Alwine Liked That]
(approving) "Lord knows they have more than nuff' to share"
(approving) "Doubt they'll even notice it's missing"
(approving/ musing aloud) "The unyielding greed and ignorance of the wealthy was the catalyst of Armageddon"
Pick Pocketing:
[Alwine Disliked That]
(surprised/irritated) "Why don't you spit in his eye while you're at it"
(irritated/ humorous) "I feel like I should put a cat bell on ya"
(irritated) ~audible scoff~ The player is likely being glowered at
Enemies Found:
(Shocked/ Excitably) "Y' ello!"
(loudly/ warning) "On yer flank!"
(loudly/ shocked) [weirdish sound presumably before lashing out a punch of hit of some form] " GWEHHK!"
Enemies Lost:
(quietly/ nervous) " shit... where'd you go you bastard"
(quietly/ nervous) " Lost 'em"
(quietly/ to self/ nervous) " I swear to lord if ya jump out at me..."
Enemies Killed:
(satisfied/ calmly) "good riddance to bad rubbish"
(loudly/ excitable) "Bingo!"
(quietly/ almost a whisper/ to self) [only if player is sneaking] "...bingo bango bongo..."
Player stops talking mid conversation:
(sympathetic/ lighthearted) "Sometimes I loose track of my thoughts too"
(genuine worry) "Ya good? Take yer time."
(humorous/ teasing) "Not a thought between those eyes is there?"
Player removes all garb:
(shocked but also amused/ between light laughs) "oh?"
(mindless banter/ avoidance) " This would probably be a good stun tactic if y'aint fraid of gettin yer tidbits shot"
(humorous/ almost scolding) "Y'aint invisible... just so ya know"
Player loots a corpse:
(plainly) "Any ammo?"
(joking/ light hearted) "Guess they won't be needing that anymore"
(statement/ plainly) "Grim business but you can find some good stuff sometimes."
Player starts swimming:
(plainly/ matter o factly) "Ain't no way I'm going in there"
(humorous but fear is present in voice) "If a big fish decides you look like lunch I ain't gonna be able to help ya"
(almost nostalgic/ sarcastic) "Yeah me and the brick tied for the swimming contest back in 63... I'll just stay on the shore"
Player jumps from high place:
(genuine concern) "ouch! you good?"
(soft yell/ concerned/ as if watching player fall) "aaAAaaa!?"
(oblivious to the player falling) "Where'd ya go?"
Do they periodically give the player items? what kind of items?
Bowls of various soups if player interacts between 5 and 9 PM. Every other time she'll give the player Fusion Cells.
Would they be able to do specialized task? (eg. repairs, hacking)
Not necessarily a task but if the player was to put various junk/ weapons in her inventory then she will periodically/ randomly mod them.
Would they be romancable?
Yeah probably? I think? In my AU she romances Paladin Danse but that would probably not be something that could happen as an NPC in Fallout 4 so??
If it were something like Mass Effect it would probably be like a Garrus/ Tali situation where if the player never romanced either characters then they would form a romance.
Do they have a unique outfit or weapon?
Alwine wears a black BOS jumpsuit for the first half of the game up until BB. After that she'll wear military fatigues. She'll wear the same over armor (BOS heavy armor) for both but after BB the BOS symbols are sanded off. It would be a unique unremovable armor set.
What would be their personal quest, if they have one?
This one is a bit weird since the player would be taking the role of the Sole Survivor. That being said I've always found that one empty cryo-chamber at the end of the vault hall interesting. There probably is a reason for that (like it just wasn't occupied or the occupant died before vault scientists had their spit) but for the sake of this AU/ prompt we'll say that she had a similar entrance to the vault as the sosu, bringing her babe into the vault and getting frozen with Kellogg snatchin both their children (this is lazy writing I know but I don't know how to write this without fundamentally changing her character). The only difference is that somehow maybe Alwine was released/ thawed earlier and got a bit of a head start. Because Alwine is no longer the sosu she wouldn't of encountered Preston at Concord and Codsworth likely either wouldn't of recognized her or simply acted like it was prewar and spoke to her only as if that was the same narrative giving her no sense to what was happening or how much time has elapsed. Alwine would of wandered out on her own and then stumbled onto Paladin Danses recon team and eventually got inducted in hopes of finding her child.
For her personal quest it would likely be trying to find evidence on what happened to her child. The quest would start with the player character going into the institute, and since companions can't follow the player there (minus X6), she would request that they find out what happened. After some digging the player will discover that Alwines child was killed in experimentation over 60 years ago in trials to make experimentation safer for 'father'. The player can bring this information back and Alwine will be devastated but grateful for the player finding this out for her. Despite being fairly amicable with the player she insists she needs time to grieve and that following the player is a cold reminder of the pain. Regardless of what the player says she parts ways with the player and goes back to the Prydwen and will idle there until the Liberty Reprimed quest where she will disappear from the map. Alwine will remain missing from the map until Blind Betrayal where she will be standing outside the bunker blocking Elder Maxon, as well as arguing with him, from entering the building. The player's choices will affect how Alwine responds.
- If the player executed Paladin Danse within the bunker then Alwine will become immediately hostile to the player. She will be forced to be killed by either the player or Maxon.
- If the player spares Danse then chooses to execute him when confronted by Maxon then Alwine will make it clear that she will not hesitate to become hostile to defend her friend. With a red speech check the player can convince her to stand down but she will be remorseful and refuse to follow the player afterwards and disappear off the map. Her body surrounded by a myriad of dead raiders will then be a random encounter while wandering the commonwealth. If the speech check is failed she will become hostile forcing the player, or Maxon, to execute her.
- If the player spares Danse then convinces Maxon to spare him then Alwine will express gratitude and her perk will become available. Unfortunately for Alwine her disobedience and willingness to become hostile towards the elder causes him to kick her out of the brotherhood. She will remain at the bunker with Danse until the player completes the quest and then upon the player returning Danse will disclose that she has gone to the Castle in order to join the Minutemen where she can be reobtained as a companion.
What are their opinions on certain factions? (eg. brotherhood, NCR)
Minutemen:
Genuinely believes that they have the best interests for the Commonwealth. Worries that they lack the men and firepower to take on the Institute or any other large faction that could pose a threat. This Worry is dissuaded after The Nuclear Option and her affirmation towards them only increases. With time, resources, and good leadership, Alwine believes they could become a major player even outside of the Commonwealth.
BOS:
At first is amazed by their technological advancements and firepower especially compared to the rest of the Commonwealth. The comradery is nostalgic and comforting for Alwine as it reminds her of her days in the US Military as a Power Armor Mechanic. After some time she realizes that they're a bit lost for direction grasping at straws for purpose and that their idea of "freeing the Commonwealth" might be misinformed well intention fueled by fear and dogma. When she was new to the commonwealth and didn't understand much about anything really the fearmongering and racism towards ghouls and synths were more tolerable (but still uncomfortable) it eventually become almost intolerable the longer she stayed and the more informed she became about the natures of both.
Railroad:
At first is weary of them. Alwine is careful around people who keep secrets and after spending so much time in the Brotherhood interacting with the Railroad pushes her hackles up. She does like how they work to help the synths, especially after BB, despite being mostly associated with the BOS. She becomes more comfortable after becoming more educated about synths, between the Railroad themselves informing her and the data collected by the player at the Institute itself, and eventually embraces the Railroad as a necessity after BB.
Gunners:
Heavily dislikes them. To her they're essentially just militarized raiders.
Institute:
Has a hate towards them that just strengthens over time. Their ignorance and misuse of technology is both a tragedy and crime. For the most part she pities them but strongly believes that their destruction is absolutely necessary.
Nuka World:
They're raiders so Alwine is pretty hostile towards them. Despite this their organization and brutality makes Alwine careful about making them enemies. If possible she would work to keep them out of the Commonwealth as much as possible or at the very least work to create some kind of truce of sorts to prevent a major confrontation (which would likely be devastating to both sides).
Atom Cats:
They remind her a lot of her friends prewar with the way they talk and their fondness for power armor. She likes them.
Children of Atom:
Alwine believes in freedom of belief as long as said belief does not infringe on the beliefs and freedoms of others. As long as they are respectful of herself and others she will act the same. Alwine is also a bit curious about them she would likely ask a bunch of questions if they allowed it. Other than that she would keep her distance, mostly due to the rads.
General voice lines? (in reaction to companion wheel selections)
Talk:
(friendly/ bubbly) "What's crackalacin"
(friendly/ inquisitive) "You okay?"
(spacy/ broken out of thought) "Hmm?"
Trade:
(friendly/ bubbly) "What's mine is yours"
(joking/ teasing) "finally got tired of carrying that junk eh?"
(joking within a genuine question) "Hey maybe I can carry the big guns instead of the junk for once....no? maybe?"
Follow:
(plain/ firm statement) "Got it"
(bubbly) "Comin!"
(bubbly/ softly) "Oke Doke"
Wait:
(plainly) "alrighty"
(plainly/ softly) "I'll just sit tight"
(masking nervousness through humor) "Don't leave me here too long... might forget what I'm waitin' for and wander off"
Where would you find them in the world?
She would be located at the Cambridge Police Station. Then later at the Castle.
Which game would they be from?
Fallout 4
Miscellaneous facts?
If the player puts alcohol in her inventory and the player gets 'drunk' she will match the player for drinks and her basic dialogue will be slurred for a short time after
Alwine will loot the entirety of corpses, clothes and all, when asked to loot bodies.
Alwine will periodically build weapon and armor mods which can be taken out of her inventory by the player
Alwine refuses to go in water and a hit box specifically for her prevents her from entering. This results in a glitch that has Alwine swimming in the air several feet above the water while the player is swimming.
If the player uses console commands to force Alwine into the water she will sink to the bottom similar to if she were wearing power armor. Note: This does not affect her health she will just idle at the waterbed.
