my first serious multi-page comic was made 2018 -- both my most recent comic and first were made in january AND made for fanfic. there's seven years' difference between those two but being a fan of other fanworks has not changed at all. more thoughts and past artwork underneath the cut

bits from my first serious comic (2018). i've simplified my process wrt to shading because it took me a whole week of being in front of a screen day-to-night to finish five pages. i also didn't color it, because, fuck, man. i hate coloring. i was burnt out for a whole month before i started drawing again.

these one-pagers (amongst others) preceded the multi-page one by a few months or so. iirc i gave up using screen tones very quickly...

a few thumbnails of two dudes beating each other up hotly. i had good taste as a seventeen y/o, ngl. i did the first page (not seen here) i think a few years later:

(2022) i'm not happy with this, but i accept that my skill in art would never grow in a linear fashion. BUT. i think the composition of this particular part was kinda cool.

(2020) i didn't touch multi-page comics for months at a time. they took up a lot of work and i was frequently exhausted.

this one (2020) was fully shaded but i prefer the lines. i think i was in the process of lining it again but i lost the process when i fucked up the save. i had a whole story and everything-- it was an au stuck in my head for a while, but tbh i quickly lost interest when no one else was into it. the line art is sloppier, but i approached it w a, "finished, not perfect" attitude. at the time i thought i had peaked in 2018-2019 (still do) and my enthusiasm for art was on the decline.

in my past reflections i was so hard on myself. didn't give myself enough grace-- i barely had enough energy and focus to do another one of those labor-intensive multi-page comics of the same quality as the ones i made around 2018.

it's not a standard i hold myself to anymore.

(dec 2024 - jan 2025) i think my interest in art (and by extension, comics) is back on the upswing. i acknowledge that it probably won't stick around forever--my skills and interests wax and wane--but i think i've made peace with my self-criticism. i was very hard on myself as a teenager. this will probably will change in the future too.

but i think that's okay.

there wasn't really a point im trying to make here. i just fucked up really badly today and i'm trying to scrape together some sense of esteem in myself LMAO. it'll be fineeeeeeee.

anyway, i'm proud of all the stuff i've done. i've always wanted to be a mangaka since i was a child. and i still am wanting...

Sending Nudes

SwissxDewdrop fic

So I had this picture in my head of Dew sending a hot nude to Swiss (I've even made a sketch, but I haven't been drawing in years and it looks terrible so I probably won't post it) and I had to write it!

Dewdrop was bored.

And horny.

He was laying on his bed, only in Boxers, and stared at the ceiling. He really wished Swiss was here right now. But he didn't want to get up to look for him.

Also, he thought he said something about a meeting earlier he had to go to.

So probably he was there now anyway.

But maybe he could text anyway?

Dew could use that and tease him a bit.

And he loved to tease Swiss.

So he took out his phone and texted the other ghoul.

Hey Swiss, what r u doing?

It took a few minutes until he got an answer from the Multi ghoul.

In a meeting with Copia and some others right now.

So you're busy?

Obviously

Dewdrop sighed. Okay, so he was right with that.

But it's boring tbh

Was the next text he got from Swiss a few seconds later which made him smile.

Need some encouragement?

Dew smiled at the thought of what he had in mind to do next. And when Swiss sent a simple 'yes' back, he got up with a smile and took off his Boxers.

Then he placed himself on the floor in front of his whole body mirror and took a picture.

He kneeled, his legs spread, but leaned on his hand, which was placed perfectly between his legs, to cover his dick. He had to move a bit around, so it was completely hidden behind his forearm and you couldn't see anything, but in the end, he worked a way out somehow.

His long hair fell over his shoulder, beautifully smooth and untangled,

covering one of his nipples. You could see a bit of the nipple piercing through it, but only if you really concentrated on it, but really just if you focused on it a lot. Thanks to the amazing camera quality on those new phones.

The other nipple was completely exposed and you could even see his nipple ring in all his beauty. A bit of light reflected on it and made the picture as a whole look even more beautiful.

On his lips was a grin, exposing his sharp teeth and he stuck his tongue out between them too, looking straight into the camera while doing so. You could see the teasing look in them even through the camera.

He really liked this picture. And send it to Swiss immediately.

Oh, how much he would love to sit in this meeting room right now, seeing Swiss' reaction. Probably looking at his phone below the table, so nobody notices him doing it. His cheeks get hot and blush. He looks up again, staring at whoever speaks right now, which doesn't make it really inconspicuous that he was doing something he wasn't supposed to do.

Dewdrop imagines him swallowing, trying to hide how hot he finds this picture and that he even looked at it. He lets his eyes travel through the room to make sure nobody noticed his doings.

Dewdrop looks at himself in the mirror another time and smiles complacently. Then he gets up again, but doesn't put his boxers back on and just falls on his back back on the bed. He stares up at the ceiling again, then starts to scroll through his phone until he gets an answer from Swiss.

Dew

Fuck

Could you please warn me next time?

What the heck was your plan with that?

Dammit, I hate you

Dew grins. That's what he wanted to get from him. And he loves it. 

Hmm. dunno, but I don't think I'll warn you next time. And I know you don't hate me, love

He texts back, still with a grin on his face. 

But since you're not here, I think I have to take care of myself on my own

Again, he has to wait for an answer from the Multi ghoul.  This shitty meeting. Why can't he just stare down at his phone the whole time, texting him back and looking at this picture the whole time..? He sighs.

It takes a while again until he gets another message.

Don't you dare to touch yourself without me.

Dew bites his lips and his thoughts revolve around touching himself and sending Swiss another picture of it. But he stops himself from it. He will wait for Swiss. Even though this will be very hard. But he can tease him anyway. He can text him that he doing it and he won't know. 

Not sure if I'll be able to do so. Maybe I'll have a solo round before you join

Even though Swiss wasn't there, Dewdrop thought he could hear his grumble through his phone. But he <em>knew</em> Swiss would do it if he could, but he couldn't, because he was in a meeting. And Dewdrop liked the thought. He could tease Swiss as much as he wanted and the poor Multi Ghoul couldn't do a thing. He had to sit there, be silent, behave, and watch Dewdrop sending him those naughty messages. 

Don't you dare, you little naughty shit.

I'll be out here soon, and then I'll be in your room within seconds.

hi! i found you since you followed my atz lore acc @tothisemptiness and i wanted to say i just finished going through you slideshow which is amazing tbh i love how you kept it fun while explaining smth as heavy and complicated as atz's lore. i have some questions tho if you don't mind me asking.

you said a good part of the treasure series is a completely separate storyline and it does make so much sense and is an interesting take but i have three questions: do you think it links or will link to the main storyline at some point? if it doesn't or won't why does cromer appear there? if it is really completely separate, why do you think they chose to tell a story they will never touch again?

in his lore explanation videos hongjoong said that halazia is not a separate universe but another pov of the story that was being told right before spin off, why take it as an alternate universe instead?

you mentioned the full moon at the end of crazy form, what do you make of the crescent at the start?

i love the insane attention to details btw, i would have never thought of concert performances like you did and if you have any ideas what the little sketches in newer concerts mean i would love to know!

First of all, thank you so so much for reading my slideshow, I was excited to see your account (another loretiny to gather perspectives from!) so I'm honored to have you asking the big questions. I have a lot of thoughts so I'm gonna put them below a cut but hopefully, I can give satisfactory answers. :)

First, I want to clarify why I approached treasure as a separate story. When I was working on this, I tried to gather as many different theories and takes as I could on the timeline and story and such, but a problem I kept running into was that when I saw theories that included treasure as part of the larger story in its entirety, I had trouble being convinced. A lot of the theories had to stretch quite a bit to include it, and I felt like separating it made it much more cohesive, regardless of whether it was approached as just a prequel or a sequel, or anything like that. That being said, I've been keeping my eye out since then for ways they could be trying to tie it back in because I desperately WANT them to. If you had asked me a couple months ago, I probably would have told you that I am doing so and that I just haven't seen anything that convinces me yet. HOWEVER. After reading the Golden Hour Part 2 diaries, my mind started churning and I felt something click that connected treasure for the first time, something was convincing enough. I'm currently chugging through finals but this is actually a huge reason I'm planning to remake the slideshow and rework it, because I feel like the information we learn about the history of Halazia and the new artifact really puts things into perspective. Anyway ig long story short, yes I think it links in now and my theory is relatively manageable (although too long to summarize here) so I'd just keep an eye out for the slideshow update.

I think the simplest answer is, ironically, simplicity. I think initially I took what Hongjoong said to mean some sort of alternate story and then after fumbling around with it, I landed on sort of a similar conclusion as that of Treasure which is to say I had a lot of trouble fitting it in with the rest of the story, particularly because of the way it constantly insists upon distinguishing itself from the rest of their titles. This is another one that will get rewritten in the update, along with Answer I believe.

A big stretch theory that would be kind of interesting to consider would be to wonder if perhaps the moon in this series has always been a crescent and everything they've experienced in "World Z" has been a dream, and I think I've seen theories similar to this floating around so definitely something I've considered. I actually kind of hope this isn't the case because I think it's kind of a cop-out, but at the same time, it would fit into the general themes we've seen from the story so far. I would LOVE to hear your theories on this because I was really stumped by it. Ateez is very intentional about those sorts of details, and so it really makes me wonder, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Finally, in terms of the sketches at the concerts, I think there's a lot of symbolism in them and I want to analyze them deeper. If the content of the dances doesn't make it into the slideshow, I'll make a post about it and tag you. Funnily enough, I went into the concert thinking "I will pay such close attention to the dances so I can analyze their place in the lore" and then I proceeded to be so awestruck that I forgot to think about it and lowkey blacked out so I don't really remember anything about it hahaha. I'm gonna look them up and revisit them in closer detail soon.

Sorry, this is so long, and sorry that some of them are kind of non-answers. There's still so much I don't quite understand so I appreciate you pushing me! This month marks 1 year of being an atiny so I think there will always be more for me to learn and discover. Please feel free to send more questions if you have them! hello! I would like to request a haikyuu matchup please :D (I apologize in advance if I write too much aksjk hopefully it'll make it easier to match me up?)

1) I'm a straight female and use she/her pronouns

2) I'm about 5'6", have straight brown hair (my friend says it looks orange-ish in the sunlight??), brown eyes, and I've been told that I'm kinda pale (but unfortunately flush easily lol).

As for things that make me stand out, I have patches of eczema littered all over my skin. I have a few on my hands and wrists and even though ik they're not a good thing and of course would much prefer not having eczema, I kinda like that it makes me unique. I also have round glasses (my eyesight is extremely bad ㅠㅠ), wear a lot of black, and recently have been wearing this tan overcoat everytime I go out bc it's big and comfy. oh, and I've always loved black low-top converse!

I'm overweight so I'm kinda insecure about my physical appearance, but I've been dealing with it for so long that ig I've come to terms with it and have just accepted that this is how I am (but I have been trying to exercise... >_>)

3) I'm a gemini, istp-t, and enneagram type 5. I think I treat people how they treat me; if someone doesn't talk to me, I probably won't talk to them unless necessary, and if someone is very friendly and nice to me, I'll be a bit more open and talk more. I'm usually pretty reserved and go with the flow, but around people I'm more comfortable with I can be very sarcastic and playful. I'm kinda a mom/therapist friend. I'm very lazy and an expert procrastinater (I do what's necessary in the most efficient way possible, unless it's something that I enjoy).

Some things I enjoy: cooking & baking, arts & crafts, reading, sketching, 80s music, watching anime/tv/movies (especially crime, mystery, and thriller), and photography (as far as taking scenic photos with my phone goes lmao). idk if this counts as interests, but I'm planning on majoring in business administration and accounting. and as for my clothing style, I currently dress for comfort bc I'm always inside, but if I get a chance to redo my wardrobe I'd like to dress in a style more like dark academia/comfy casual? I have no idea if those are the right words to describe it 😅

4) I'm pretty sure my love language is physical touch, but I also really enjoy receiving spontaneous gifts or stuff I've been wanting (and money lmao I'm a big saver)! I've never been in a relationship, but I know I would definitely have to be friends with someone before even considering a serious romantic relationship, so I would ideally be comfortable around them already. I have a tendency to bottle up my emotions and I'm honestly a bit of a tsundere, so I think I might be shy in voicing my wants/initiating things. as for my type, I would prefer someone tall, mature but able to be playful and can take a joke (I sometimes use "idiot" as a term of endearment sksj I can be kinda mean sometimes tbh), patient since I'll take a while to open up, and ideally ambitious and willing to take initiative (bonus points if they're able to keep up with my sarcastic banter!)

5) I definitely like to sleep in, but if I need to wake up early and I can do so relatively easily. ig you could say I'm more of a night owl. I'm in a constant state of tiredness (possibly fatigued but idk) lol. I could technically live without music but would 100% prefer not to. my favorite song is "eyes without a face" by billy idol. I've never really thought about what my ideal first date would be, but I would like if it was well thought out and personal instead of the typical movie and dinner I suppose.
